Whilst I appreciate your comments, your suggestion to Pain Res would actually promote slugging more than healthy gameplay - it does not promote the killer to ignore the unhooked person, it just encourages them to slug that person.
But why are all the killer regression perks getting nuked but survivors perks still living? Dead hard will STILL be in every game. COB is dead, OVERCHARGE... DEAD! PAIN RES... No... Come on now.

I don't think they nerf killers because of pick rates because look at the twins with the lowest pick rate yet ever other patch they seem to get a nerf.
The killer is so badly designed that they just get caught in the cross fire.

You really can’t, if you’re against a SWF (and you always will be) it’s game over already. I just uninstalled. Your best bet is to wait for the Killer Klownz from Outer Space game to drop and enjoy that. In the meantime there’s tons of other games out there.
You mean from the old movie back in the day?
-
You honestly can't

Deadlock has never been in the shrine and that's one reason it has remained untouched. If you didn't buy Pinhead then you don't have it.
Dude every time I buy a killer for a perk they nerf it immediately

Alot of people don't understand this. By nerfing passive slowdown your making it harder to play weaker killers and making it more of a requirement to play top tier killers.
It's all a front to also nerf the higher tier killers based on pick rate tho. Mark my words

@almofan1001 said:
None will thrive because nerfs to gen regression are general nerfs to every killer. Even if they got personal buffs in one way or another, the gen regressions offset that negatively, and end result is that the killers are nerfed across the board.
That's what I think this was really about. It was a way to nerf killers under the guise of "survive nerfs". Bhvr always caves to survivors and it's annoying.
Yes survivors took a hit but it's nowhere near losing COB, OVERCHARGE, PAIN RES, & ERUPTION in less than 3 months.
-
Devs I'm not gonna lie... The killer perks that got nerfed is BS tho. How come that didn't get relooked at? Pain Res still got an overall nerf and the survivors got back what they wanted. I don't think that's fair.
-
Nothing deadly about how survivors play. They'll come up to you for the chase sometimes

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/371127/playing-killer-feels-so-boring-right-now
-"But against these survivors it's so boring. They are expressing very little skill in chase, they are no good loopers all they know is how to hold w and pre drop pallets. And the game rewards such a gameplay decision. Nobody really seems to be interested in chase anymore. They are mostly hiding and rushing gens."
This is the gameplay survivors crave. They want to always feel safe and in control during the chase. You're giving that to them because you're playing Billy. No offense but he's a 2016-18 killer who sucks in the current game build.
Which is so unfortunate because he used to be the most balanced
-
@Riski said:
Basicallly the perk snowballed too quickly when triggered consistantly. An early down into even average chases with pain res was enough to ensure a match by itself escentially unless you got unlucky with hook spawns. As killer this may seem balanced but as survivor it can feel infuriating to lose off the killer getting lucky of hook spawns when you could of won otherwise. Unlike similar perks like Pop goes the weasal this 1) Does flat regression allowing it to quickly bring a gen to low progress of chain hits and 2) Didn't require any additional commitment beyond the hook, allowing you to not waste time getting the regression as well as making it cross map and faster, while with pop the gen might finish while walking over.
As for the nerf, it certianly deals with the snowball the perk which is nice and keeps it as an opton for agressive killers, like it was before, but it is defiently a harsh nerf. With healing changes and it's competition being nerfed it'll stil be viable and it keeps it core function however so I imagine it'll be fine.
Ok you're just milking it. This is nonsense
-
Get better at the game and stop trying to make every killer trapper

I have 4500 hours on ps4 and i play since 2018. Today i have a decent PC and i want play on PC. But, obviously . Doesn't make sense i put into the trash all investment and time on ps4 to start a new acc on PC. I know BHVR said "we want, but..." . Question is, the possibility for this happen is real or is a sweet fantasy? Sony and microsoft dont sinalize nothing about this?, I think BHVR should clarify this question, because a lot os people have this impass .
I desperately would like to mix my PC progress with my console progress. I don't think it's going to happen any time soon.
-
I don't even play survivor and even I know these changes will not go through from dead hard to healing. BHVR will not risk upsetting the survivors like that but the killer nerfs will most definitely survive.
No way dead hard received the nerf it truly deserves and no way healing is effectively nerfed to prevent instant heals. I'm almost certain the killer nerfs will either stay as is or be increased because... F$$k killers.

It shouldn't be in the game

Okay, I got it, you wanted to remove special interactions with flashlights. It didn't happen a lot against Nurse, sure, but still, this removes one of the few tools against the strongest killer in the game. Unlike Wraith, the Nurse's lightburn wasn't a problem.
And the Hag is being buffed against flashlights... but nerfed against anyone without a flashlight as her traps gain a more Trapper-like counter. I'm heartbroken, but let's see how long does it really take to wipe out the traps.

I love the optimism, but that would most definitely not reduce tunneling. Folks who find tunneling an effective way to win will still tunnel, only they'll be even more successful since the Survivors now have to worry about another objective on top of trying to save their friend. Those two things are ultimately completely unrelated. It's like trying to fix a leak in your roof by oiling a creaky door hinge.
You're right because that's exactly what I'll do. I hate to be that guy, but I see no reason to go after a new guy since BBQ died.
-
I'm not trying to upset you guys, but can we finally address what's happened to Freddy? He doesn't deserve this. Nobody plays him. He's pretty much worse than trapper!
Freddy is a horror icon... Why is he this bad?
-
That's crazy given the map is way too big anyways
-
@Phasmamain said:
6.1.0 brought the killer buffs you mentioned which put the kill rate at 60% which is what the devs want
Unless kill rates got much lower due to solo changes I’d say they are happy at where killer is
Dude be for real. Trapper can literally do nothing against a team with half a brain. M1 killers need to be buffed with some kind of movement. We do not need to keep nerfing nurse. Git gud

Yeah you are right. I just hope they do something next midchapter. I doubt it, I assume we see some perk-changes and thats probably it.
They won't. I hope they lose the license because Freddy is a horror icon. He shouldn't be treated like this
-
@Blueberry said:
In the average game where survivors play bad? No they’re fine.
Objectively though? Yes they are way too strong.
Most games survivors play bad so it’s fine but when it’s actually good vs good players the game is extremely unbalanced in survivors favor. We don’t judge objective “balance” based on average games, we base it on good vs good. This is why matches at the higher end are complete messes in terms of balance since they’re not what the game is balanced around.
The nerf killer grim the top down but buff survivors from the bottom up. It's a completely stupid logic.
They say it's a casual game, but will nerf killers based on the skill of .01% of players vs the best survivors. They'll also nerf killers based on new survivors unwillingness to learn the killer. (Release Freddy is an example.)
They'll then buff survivors because casual players are either struggling or complaining, but will not nerf survivors based on 95% pick rates. (Looking at you dead hard) They'll nerf killers because of it tho.

@Phasmamain said:
Honestly doubt she’ll get changed. Considering knight can stall games equally and bhvr have been quiet on that
I enjoy playing her but everyone is now DCing because they assume I’m going to 3 gen. Can’t say I blame them but it sucks regardless
Her add-ons are definitely getting NERFED
-
@Hi_Im_Chucky said:
i was super excited to get my hands on her and I played hard for three fun days. The outcry is too big, the nerf is coming, they will ruin her or “accidentally bug” her so that she feels terrible.
Im going back to other games until the damage is done, tired of Killers I enjoy getting nuked. Can’t believe people won’t even let her be strong in one aspect of the game, it’s ridiculous.
She isn’t even the best at 3genning nor is she powerful but she’s going to pay the price because she isn’t a chase Killer~
That's exactly what's going to happen. She's gonna get bombed and she'll sit for 3 years until they run out of stuff to do then they'll fix her.
I think the biggest nuke she's about to get is a massive cool down, a massive reduction to the AOE of drones and for good measure, an add-on nerf.
-
Yay... A movie where the survivors run a very dangerous killer around Garner cans, rubble and other things without ever getting tired. Don't forget the survivor bonking the killer in the head with a warehouse pallet to slow him down.
-
@Seraphor said:
Killswitches are for gamebreaking bugs.
Spirits power temporarily turning into her old power for a couple of seconds each game isn't game breaking.
She was fine before the directional audio, she's fine for the split second you don't have it and can therefore tell that she's behind a wall too.
This bug is after all giving you more info than you would get without it.
Honestly, directional audio kind of killed her.
-
I think the license for Freddy should be revoked. He's a horror icon and the state he's in is pitiful. The people with the licenses should revoke them for the poor quality licensed characters.
-
@Piruluk said:
Bad perks.
And top of that she got nerfed (removed information from her, and mechanics, claw trap used to prevent survivors from hacking, now claw trap does nothing, and survivors can hack drones always, this ensures that her drones will never stay up) she has no mobility, no lethal, her only power is subpar information, no chase ability. Worst killer.
And she got NERFED.
I wont buy her in this state
Typical BHVR LOL
-
They have a monopoly on the genre. They have no incentive to do anything creative!
-
@Moxie said:
I don't care about her aesthetic as much as her power and perks.
Perks are very weak and underwhelming and Power is absolute dog-water.
Hopefully she gets MAJOR changes to Power before release.
Never gonna happen.
-
I run 3 or 4 slowdown Perks and I tunnel. I played Wraith without it... Never again. Got smoked...
-
@DemonDaddy said:
Perk died after the nerf to once per gen. Personally I just never see it used anymore.
It's crazy how they kill perks that could be anything other than slowdown... Yet people complain about slowdown.
WHAT OTHER PERKS SHOULD KILLERS USE THEN?
-
People have whined about slow down since the release of OG RUIN and the problem is still there... GEN SPEED. MOST M1 killers are utterly garbage WITHOUT slowdown. Pain Res & Jolt have saved a million games for me as Docktah.
-
4 DH games are so brutal!
-
@Seegson said:
Freddy was never fun, plus he will not get cosmetics cause the license holders are not willing to cooperate with bhvr anymore
Can you blame them? Look at what they've done to a horror icon. He's a joke!
-
I had this problem after coming back with Docktah so I went to Billy because he's my old main. The "hold W" strategy is definitely crazy against killers with no mobility. I went back to Docktah and now I'm going better. I mainly try to get 1 survivor out AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE by any means. I tried the spreading pressure out thing and it's a waste of my time.
I'm also say perks definitely help. On killers with no mobility, I definitely run JOLT, COB, ERUPTION & NOWHERE TO HIDE. On Docktah, I like to run JOLT, COB, ERUPTION & PAIN RES.
-
Maybe if Billy didn't get killed and other M1 killers were actually better you wouldn't have this problem.

At the end of the day, this. They've boiled DBD down to its absolute, most refined essence.
And it is looping.
Looping and nothing else.
Which is very stupid when you think about it. I'm at the point where I think the 4.4 killer days need to be ended. 4.6 isn't even enough to stop hold W. Mobility killers rule.

Billy is an auto-forgive.
Doctor is respectable.
I welcome you as a fellow Bubba into the basement. We keep it warm and cozy down here.
My setup on Bubba is Iron Grasp, Agitation, NOED, & Bamboozle.
Billy is so weak to me now. I'm not even tripping off the removal of charge time add-ons (that was BS tho.) Overall, his add-ons are just dumb, overheat is #########, & using the saw is just so weird. The screen moves all crazy for some reason. Is that a bug?

Depends on what killer you are running.
Clown? No.
Blight? I hope you step on a LEGO.
Well, I've mainly been on console since my Steam account is missing so much now. I mainly play Docktah & Bubba. (Strictly To Camp)
When I'm upset, I go to Billy (he sucks now but is still my old main) & Nurse.
-
I run a combination of Eruption, COB, Overcharge, Pain Resonance, Nowhere To Hide, & Jolt.
Do you guys hate me?
-
But didn't you guys WHINE and CRY the entire time you kept getting hit with POP?
-
I still don't understand how FOV is locked to a damn perk

@Aven_Fallen said:
The actual problem is that Nurse is still too strong and a relic of the past which really should not exist like that. You always have to ask - would DBD release a Killer like her nowadays? And the answer is a clear "No".
And well, naturally Killers switch to as much Slowdown as possible, because it is the easiest way to play Killer. You drag out the game, which means less ressources, which means easier chases, which results in more Downs, followed by more Slowdown and so on. And honestly, if you need 20 minutes to kill 4 Survivors, who are most likely better than you, you should not win.
Last but not least - for me, nothing will change. I play Nurse with my Build, which is full Aura Read (except for Shadowborn). And I mostly go against Nurses who already stack Slowdown a lot and a Starstruck-Nurse is quite a rarity. (Because, again - stacking Slowdown is easier, so more players go for that... Even on Nurse)
If you need 35 pallets on a map... You should not win
-

As a Docktah fan... You're right. I reverted to Billy and straight up bubba camping because of him.

@[Deleted User] said:
She'll lose quite a bit of variety. On the one hand, it's great because we're closer to people actually needing to know how to play Nurse to do well on Nurse. But we're going to be seeing a whole lot of The Build (CoB/Eruption/Pain Res) on Nurse until they address the slowdown meta, so players will still be able to fail upwards with her to a degree.
As an aside, every strong high skill cap killer should be getting the Nurse treatment. Kill the busted add ons so players can't crutch on them in lieu of learning the killer's mechanics. That goes for Blight with, well, most of his good add ons, and Spirit with MDR/Cherry Blossom.
There's always been a slow down meta because gens are too fast. It doesn't need to be nerfed UNTIL gens don't go so fast. These people got WRAITH NERFED... WRAITH.
LET'S BE SENSIBLE HERE!
