Slow down perks shouldn't be mandatory to do well, these perks should help make it easier not be completely required on all but the strongest killers. People say "don't increase gen time it's boring to hold M1." But these same people are so gen hungry they let their teammates die trying to rush the game as quickly as possible.
Couldn't agree more.

I mean, look, its fun and its good to have a larger player-base but... from what I've been experiencing with friends. Its not fun at all.
You going to explain why it's not fun or should we just ignore this thread entirely?

I have no problem with that, but because you didn’t get a 4K you shouldn’t rant that game is unbalanced
He is rank 1 l am sure he had got many 4K’s to get there, were those games unbalanced?
So, because he's rank 1 he can't have an opinion of the game's balance? I'm rank 1 in both survivor and killer and I can tell you there are issues with balance that are glaring. And I'm not the only player with that opinion.
I don't have all the details for that Freddy's game. You said 3 survivors died and one got out of the exit gate. My best guess is that he felt robbed of a 4k for doing so well. Perhaps they closed the hatch and the last person was across the map, waiting to open the exit gate as soon the EGC started and they got out. If that's the scenario, I can empathized. I've been there and it was beyond his control. He may have did everything right and got cucked at the end. But yeah, that's just a guess. I got no idea how that match really played out or what points he was trying to make in the end game chat.

What is it with you guys
you play so sweaty (which is understandable) but when you don’t 4K the game is unbalanced
l just played against a rank 1 Freddy (we were all solo) he got a 3k one got out through the doors. It was a good game everyone said “gg”
then he goes on this rant about the game is unbalanced against killers.
so for red rank killers it’s 4k or bust?
Why shouldn't the goal of the killer be to get a 4k? If you play into the red ranks why would you not have the mentality of trying your best to get the most positive outcome?

Gen rushing isn't a thing. That is a survivors only objective. Killers are supposed to stop that. Killers need some sort of pressure or else it'd be a cake walk. That's why there's perks and full on builds dedicated to stopping gen progression. If gen rushing is an issue for a killer than they need to run those perks and practice gen patrolling. Maybe pick a killer like legion who's good at stalling gens.
If gen rushing wasn't a thing, then gens wouldn't be done so fast. Slow down perks be damned, gens fly by and it's not fun to have to deal with as a killer. It even creates the symptom of killers playing in ways survivors don't enjoy, like face camping, tunneling, bringing mori's, using NOED. It's really a dumb argument to try to deny gen rush's existence when it's so prevalent.
-
It shouldn't be a hex perk. Once you hit a survivor, more often than not they'e going to leave the area they were struck. The only people this would affect are other survivors who are nearby. Making it a hex perk is just a good way to make sure it collects dust.

@Zanfer said:
Do you prefer to not have Whispers or run Whispers? I ask because me as a Killer I love knowing when someone is near to pinpoint exactly where they are so hiding is very hard for survivors. However if I don't run the perk it makes finding the last survivor pretty rough and makes me feel dumb knowing I might be looking in an area that no survivors are in. Just a curious thought would love to hear other peoples ideas behind their choice. One reason I could see why people prefer not to is to save that perk slot for specific builds, to not waste a slot, or to make the game more challenging.
I used to run it all the time, because of how useful it was. Overtime, though, I found myself too reliant on it. Once you learn the mindset of survivors you can kind of predict or take really good guesses as to where they might be. I think it's better to ween yourself off of Whispers at some point so you can add in a much stronger perk for the slot.
-
Yep. When you can stack multiple second chance perks it usually spells disaster for the killer. And they wonder why killers resort to slugging, camping, and tunneling 😂

The vast majority of threads and comment on here, on twitter, and every bit of platform the devs post on boils down to the following:
- Complaining the devs aresimultaneously uncreative and 'out of ideas' yet so obnoxiously adding in new mechanics that mess with players' M.O.s
- complaining this killer is overpowered and has no counterplay, yet is weak and too easy to outplay at the same time
- too much content being released while not enough content is released
etc
in short:
Could you KINDLY make up your mind and provide some constructive feedback etc? It's no wonder the devs stay away from interacting with the community if every genuine input is drowned out by this crap.
jfc.
Let me be the first to welcome you to the INTERNET! I can see you are new here, so you're in for heck of a wild ride.
-
Yeah, kind of a weird choice on their part. What use is player feedback going to be on an outdated PTB?
-
I tell 'em the same thing when they gen rush. People play those 'boring' killers so they can content against all the stuff survivors have going for them. Yet they still complain. Self fulling.

It's kind of funny, how people actually think that stretched res is such a big advantage, while they completely ignore that it also comes with big disadvantages.
You gain a tiny bit more vision on a the part of rotation around the X-axis (specifically, moving your camera "up" so you can look "down"), but lose vision rotation around the Y-Axis (left and right). While in theory you should be able to see more when you move your camera up and down, you dont see more stuff if you move your camera down, because you cant see anything if you move your camera down, because of the map floor, you know? So that's not really an advantage.
ALSO. Because of stretched res, you lose vision to the left and to the right. Which is another disadvantage.
So to sum it up:
- GOOD: you gain vision when moving your camera up.
- BAD: you don't gain vision when moving your camera down.
- BAD: you lose vision to the left
- BAD: you lose vision to the right
The downsides outweigh the upsides.
3 downsides for 1 small upside. Yeah, probably the major game changer as it is displayed in this post and also discussed by streamers.
PS: stretched res just looks ugly.
Small upside? It helps in LOOPING. y'know, looping? That thing that survivors do to not die? Yeah, that's a pretty big advantage to lose a little left and right vision when they can SEE over ######### better. 🤦

So I'm cheating because my monitor doesn't use default 1920x1080.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Sure.
It's definitely not up to BHVR to implement proper graphical scaling is it? Nah, make sure that you always play in 1920x1080 even if your monitor can't do that.
Okay, so you have a ######### monitor 🤣. Doesn't change the fact those who have 1920x1080 who use stretch res have a clear visual benefit.

Bad players will be bad good players will be good regardless of res. Are 4:3 monitor people cheating? Also it only let's you see more distance and not more of the killer.
I've seen otherwise, so. Sorry. Not buyin' what you're sellin'.

lol spare me. I've seen the videos of stretched res and its benefits.

Oh, it's definitely cheating. And those who use it know that.

When I entered the game, I realized I had been banned for the game ID.

It's wild that people complain about the current "meta" perks for survivors but are also so opposed to survivors getting new perks that are actually good and usable.
Why do you think the meta isn't changing????
People keep hyping Soul Guard as the best survivor perk survivors got in the last year (it's trash outside of a SWF game with coordination) Inner Strength and For the People are much better. Hell Repressed Alliance is a much better perk playing solo.
Everyone should want new strong perk introduced on both sides. Killers actually got perks this chapter than can become meta and replace current meta perks.
Survivors got ######### and these perks will literally never be meta and will barely get any use so you're just going to see the same things you've seen for years.
The problem is that meta perks are too good. They're so good that the majority of survivors just won't deviate from them unless it's out of boredom (meme builds). The meta stays the same because there's literally no good reason to not use them. New survivor perks would have to blow the old ones out of the water.

I mean just look at the new killer's perks, you're ######### if you work on a totem and you're ######### if you work on a gen. Gg ez, hope you're on comms.
I've solo'd survivor for years. I don't see how survivors these days have such trouble with it. Once you're experienced with the game and killer perks & powers you eventually learn how to deal with them. It sounds like you're just unwilling to learn.

Nothing is more unfun than being a stealth killer going against spine chill. I honestly wish it wasn't in the game.

What do survivors need? They already have great meta perks for just about every situation.

Why are pc people (some not all) being so hatefull to the console community? Is it because you believe that we are bad? Or maybe that your better than the entirity of us?
I'm pretty sure the PC players who hate console players don't represent the majority of PC player opinion on crossplay. I think it's a very healthy and inclusive for the game to bring its community even more together like this.
-
What the OP means is that when a downed survivor is being healed by his team their body cannot be picked up. Not because of bodyblocking, but because a downed survivor being healed removes the pick up prompt for killers.
-
Fungoose is fun to watch.
Farmer John i really enjoy for dbd memes .
-
If I end up winning but am not happy because of how hard it was, it's just not a good feeling. Winning should be fun, but sweaty survivors ruin that feeling.

@SunderMun said:
I have to agree that I'm scared this will be the case, however Oni is one of the more recent killers and, imo, is probably the best designed killer in the game. He's fun to play both as and against, even when players on both sides are skilled. Executioner and Deathslinger, though, reek of really badly thought out ideas.
(That said, deathslinger is definitely an easy fix: give him ADS and remove quickscope and suddenly he'll feel better to play while also simultaneously better to play against)
Remove quick scoping and the Deathslinger will never be able to hit a survivor.

It is faster ques... sometimes but longer others. I almost always play solo and now when I see 3 globes on my team which is about 75% of the time I pretty much feel like I am just playing with bots and its hard to even care about how the game ends half the time. Before with post game chat I knew I was going to at least be acknowledged most of the time, Maybe I annoyed someone or maybe our team made a good play, now there is no point to stay and spectate a game if you die to see how it plays out because you can't talk to anyone anyway.
Am I the only one who feels like this?
You play Dead by Daylight for the end game chat? One would think you'd play it for the gameplay. 🤷

I don't want to play with their survivors, I'm happy with Bill these days. And also, please don't say "if you play for long games and avoiding survivors reparing gens you should buy plague, or if u want to scare buy freddy" etc. etc. I just wanna hear which DLC did u guys enjoy most.
Plague for the perks
Freddy for a strong killer.

This ^
And because Blood Warden was indirectly buffed by EGC. If a killer goes on a slug spree during EGC and deliberately waits till the timer bar is about 3/4 depleted before doing a hook, then any remaining survivors are 100% dead unless they have a hatch key.
So survivors are much much more insistent on ensuring that every survivor is safe/bear a gate before opening to avoid that scenario.
Lol, funny how survivors presume every killer has BW, but so many don’t presume every killer has NOED and don’t do bones.
It's not just the presumption of Blood Warden. It's to so there's no timer for how long they can be in the match to attempt a rescue.
-
It only became a thing after EGC. Its basically a loophole survivors found to get around the EGC.

Say you're in a solo queue. Say your buddies inadvertently let Myers build Evil 3. Say this applies universally, to every character regardless of perk (because actual real counterplays should be basically kinda universal).
What do you do as a "any perk" survivor (let's take a level 1 Dwight with Leader for the memes), when Myers gets Evil 3 and starts chasing ONLY you?
Michael Myers as bad as, sometimes worse than Spirits. Overpowered.
No matter tier he is in he's still an m1 killer. The only difference in tier 3 is that he vaults faster and that you are exposed. His movement speed is still 115%, looping and pallets are still effective against him.

Huntress might be beefier, but Deathslinger's got a gun...

So we have a ton of white characters because, obviously. But for POC characters we have Jane, Zarina, and Ace maybe. Three... we only have three POC characters. The same is with black characters... the three black characters are, claud, Tapp and Adam. Which is even worse because we only have ONE black woman which is the most hated group of people for some reason even though they’re the prettiest on the planet. And the Tapp is a licensed character so they didn’t even take the time to design the character and choose the race so practically there’s only two. And then theirs two Asians. Come on bhvr gives us more POC! And if you have a new chapter idea and survivor who is white just change them to black. It costs no effort whatsoever
They've already made a diverse cast of characters. We don't have to slap a "need" list of the appropriate amount of any given people. BHVR hasn't excluded POC. It sounds like you're making accusations at them. Let them make the characters organically and not have to be pre-approved by some checklist of yours.

I would imagine that there's more to being a strong woman than having a specific haircut and bright clothing.

While tunnelling and slugging are still a thing, these perks are needed. Killers brought the upon themselves.
I also naturally counter these perks with how I play, by not targeting recently unhooked survs and only occasionally slugging early on for early pressure.

I fall guilty to rage quitting from time to time (only as killer really) but every time I do I am barraged with death threats and harsh words, I feel as if I should stop playing this game for how toxic it is.
It's looked down upon because of how much it can negatively impact the match, be it killer or survivor. If you're finding yourself rage quitting often, however, you might consider the option of taking a breath from the game. It's easy to keep hitting 'Ready' to search for a new match, but if you're not having fun then do not put yourself through more needless stress. This game has so many faults and you need to know that you don't have to endure it.
-
I've maxed out every killer and a few survivors, so gaining BP with BBQ is a secondary thought. It's still useful for aura reading depending on the killer I'm playing, but there's better perks for finding survivors. I personally only use BBQ on Oni and Hillbilly.

Campers pls come here and watch this post ( If you are a good and pro player you don't need to watch this ). I know you might be new or actually sucks at this game, but you need to learn to stop camping, you guys are ruining player's experience and making this game unfun. You need to learn more skills and techniques to play killer, watch some killer tutorials, I highly recommend Umbra, otz and tur3talent, or you can just play more matches to gain experiences. No matter what situation you are in ( Except end game ), you can't camping because it is for losers and very rude. This is a way to kill without skills. After you leave, please leave and chase survivors that are working on gens to pressure them. If you are bad at chase then don't worry, you can practice. You can camp when 5 gens are done or camping some very toxic survivors ( Remember don't give a chance for a toxic survivor to live! ). Camping is bad for everyone, to killers, other survivor can just do lots of gen when you are camping, and have a high chance to lose; for survivors, the guy that get camped is completely gameplay ruined and other survivors can enjoy the saving and chase moments. Pls stop camping and learn how to play, this is not an insulting post. Remember, if you lose but didn't camp, survivors will respect you because you actually try yoru best.
No camp, good game.
I'll use every dirty trick in the book and expect no less from survivors.
-
To encourage the killer to do something self. It doesn't affect much, since punishing a killer more severely for camping would be unnecessary.
