Thats why you spread out if you start all together. When the opposite happens (spread spaws) the killer gets completely ######### as well, so I don't really agree with "survivors should never spawn together".
And yea, nurse is still a thing somehow. Guess bhvr is waiting SupaAlf one thousand win streak to happen or something, need more evidence that the killer is completely broken 🤡
I try but the killer is faster and if you spawn at the edge of the map it's easy for them to see you leave.
And I play solo, even if I leave the three are staying once they find a gen🤣

Forgive me if I interpreted that wrong but when they should not spawn together they spawn separate
You can still spawn in 2s actually.

Are good players entitled to win most of their games, or are we ok with it cause we believe meritocracy is inherently good?
There's an interesting conversation to be made about entitlement and who's right. Should a Nurse/Blight/whatever killer you think of, have a sure way of winning 99% of their games because they've sank 5k hours into their killer?
What about survivor, should a survivor main be able to singlehandedly win and carry his team after 6k hours of DBD if we follow the same rule, or do other rules apply in such a case because survivor is team-based, so one survivor should not be able to tramp all the others in impact.
I'm sure it must be obvious that we already hold survivors and killers to different standards. No killer would be able to agree that a survivor that has 10k hours can single-handedly cripple them because they are not playing the same role and it's an asymetric game as is usually the argument, so it's ok.
And no killer should expect to be able to stomp after they got 10 4k in a row but then they start getting SWFs, but they still do.
Survivor is hard to get into and win and killer is the opposite and solo survivor is even harder because there is no co-ordination, while co-ordination is required to deal with certain killer strategies and matchmaking can be extremely bad. Camping and tunneling to do as killer and accessible for EVERY killer, of course some are better than others but they can all utilize it without needing a perk slot and on top of that it is intuitive for new killers. There's no mechanical skill involved or knowledge (ok there is some knowledge involved now, knowing about basekit BT), you just do what feels an expected part of the game and if a survivor is unhook you follow their blood and scratch-marks.
When survivors complain about those tactics the answer they usually get is that it's easy, one blocks killer and the other unhooks, or use Reassurance etc. Those things are not as accessible to survivors by default because a) they require co-ordination from the team and b) the counters are hidden behind perks.
If a change came out tomorrow that was like "we want the killer to feel like a real predator who has to rely on his senses after years of honing his craft" and they decided to remove scratchmarks after BL kicks in or allow them only in certain circumstances (like certain powers), then killers would have to re-learn tracking survivors and of course they would also complain. Someone who is not using a headset when playing killer, would now become worse as the ability and skill to track by sound would be more important and his killrate would lower. But killers who were already good because they have mastered the other skills would probably manage to adapt and still do well, maybe not as well as they did before the change.
As for mobile games, they are just annoying in general. I still dunno how DBD mobile functions to this day and who plays it. Not only is the screen small but looking down while playing must be very tiring for your neck. I generally dislike hand-held gaming for this reason, but I hear they do have the benefit of gaining Auric Cells when logging in, now I might consider switching to mobile, thanks.

I mean it sucks I get that but you say that's rng that benefits the killer and you want that not to happen wich would mean you all spawn separate so atleast three gens are worked on in the first chase and their is a good chance three get done in that time would that not be a spawn logic that benefits the survivor then
Did I mention we should all spawn separately? And most of the time they do 2-3 gen and then 3-gen themselves cause they have no communication. That can also go wrong. Someone also suggested that survivors don't ever spawn separately, I don't see why that can't be a thing.

No one's forcing survivors to bring toolboxes/med kits/flashlights. And yet, here we are.
What other options do they have? Maps and Keys? Seems you'd only be ok with them bring useless stuff.
-
If they brought basekit UB only when 2 people are left I think would be a good way to combat this.
If they cannot find find the last survivor while the other is slugged for 45 seconds they can get up and the game might be able to be turned around. I think it is a decent comeback mechanic in this case. If survivors don't deserve to escape if they played well all game but made mistakes late game then the same should be the case for killer. They should not get an almost guaranteed 4k because they decided to slug. It should come with a bit of risk that they can leave the game with a 2k.
-
You can't play "fair" cause the game doesn't reward you and playing "scummy" or "toxic" is easier. I don't understand why killers need to justify this. If you like winning, the word "Fair" isn't in your vocabulary. Look at pro-athletes and stuff. They cheat all the time because they want to win.
Why killers try to convince us that they want to be nice out of their goodness of their heart but can't cause sweaty survivors is a cope. You play "scummy" even when survivors are not bringing those perks or items probably, but it doesn't matter. The game is what it is and they support it, you don't need validation from survivor mains. Play how you like and no need to pretend.
If I wanna win I bring toolbox or medkit and perks I believe will help me survive.
If I play because I wanna have fun and try fun perks I bring a different build.
I just don't think you wanting to win and playing as such should pit you against "fun survivor". If you wanna win and sweat for it you have to accept you'll play against sweats. The game's flaw on the killer side is that it starts easy enough and you hit a difficulty spike after winning a lot. It cannot always be easy but perhpas they could make improvements on that and make the difficulty spike smoother and not so sudden and happen earlier rather than later.
-
Sometimed the game spawns you all together and the killer has Lethal Pursuer, which I find it really ######### up early game for the survivors as they don't have enough time to scatter. I notice it quite a few times as I being Distortion and I can tell, so even I end up getting caught while trying to sneak away because I cannot make enough distance in that time and they just run in my direction sometimes when killer is chasing them.
-
@TDtheDoc said:
A Gen can already go in 45 seconds if running Gen build, that’s not fast enough for you?How bout survivors just tap gens to complete them?Guess that would be “Fair” right?
Maybe I should start running a gen build everytime. Oh wait, then killers will complain about gen-rushing and why they need to be running 4 slowdown.
GThe thing is camping doesn't take up a perk slot. But gen builds take more than one. Why is every killer of every level allowed that strat but somehow to counter it I have to be running this build EVERYTIME in case of a face-camp?
I wish every facecamper at 5 gens gets so many kills that they end up only playing vs SWF from then on.
-
For Haddonfield you need to know how to play it as a survivor. It's so easy to 3-gen yourself. Happened to me yesterday. We started well enough and could have avoided the 3gen honestly but somehow no one finished that effing gen, so we ended up with that infamous 3 gen by the main house.
-
Weird thing is, after a match it also censored "gg" for me. But the funny thing is, the killer could say it just fine and the next few games I could also use it.
-
Ok, but I want 500% BP bonus everytime I play against Nurse.
I would personally try to use to play against killers I find randomly (like Twins) to get some practice in.

I'd be fine with that but I'd also like it to give 175% speed or 200% to get away faster, especially since smart killers always respect pallets and do not let you hit them with it easy (unless they have a build revolving around disrespecting pallets)
That could work as well. It also doesn't have infinite use, because if pallets are gone this perk becomes completely useless. It does need a bit more power to it.

I'm not opposed to it really I'm just saying afk killers aren't such a big deal as people make them out to be
Remove depips (at least for survivors) and that's it, simple don't even have to make it specific conditions, nobody likes depipping, especially if they were camped and couldn't do anything about it
I'm not against it either, as Ranks aren't used for matchmaking on anything.
I'd guess BHVR just doesn't want it to be too easy as they are afraid people would play less? That's all I can come up with.

Yeah I agree with you but I know all the 110% killers would complain cuz now the survivor is literally faster than their base speed
Best solution tho imo is to just make dark theory give a 6% (or more) vaulting speed and/or reveal the killer when within totem range (cuz I mean based on the description it really feels like it was meant to do that)
Plus no mither already has synergy with perks like pharmacy, resilience, TINH, etc
110% are not M1 killers though. They have other ways to kill survivors, Huntress just needs to hit hatchets, Deathslinger can reel you in , Nurse can is Nurse etc. They are not particularly limited by their distance that's why they have 110% speed in the first place. The scenario you mention would only happen after all gens are done.
I don't think I can see the point of Pharmacy and No Mither, at least in solo que. With a SWF I could see some potential, but in solo you'd have to drop the medkit for your teammates or just heal them with it. But it's already a huge disadvantage just having a No Mither teammate that them giving you 1 green medkit is not enough imo.

That would be a fun way to punished the kicking generator Killer's more; everytime they fell for another Blast Mine; the stun duration is increased by another 0.5 second longer then the last; maximum to 5 seconds long stun duration. Kinda like Wraith when burn by a flashlight when cloaked
I think the stun is 4 secs currently. So I'd definitely make it last longer than 5. Maybe the limit would be 6, since that would require kicking a blastmined gen 4 times, which I'm not sure happens most games. Most commonly I get to use it twice in a match if I'm trying to be a decent teammate.

Rejoice, I think they heard you and switched it off. I just had a Blight with four anti-gen perks who stomped the survivors really hard and a no perks prestige 0 Playstation controller Nurse who couldn't hit a single person all match long back to back.
(The Blight still wasn't that good because he couldn't catch me, always gave up after some time even though I'm just extremely mediocre myself. My teammates however went down super fast and being unable to do anything thanks to Eruption while the killer massacres the team is really getting boring so after everyone but me was dead on hook and not a single gen done I just let him down me and killed myself to move on)
That Nurse could have been me, lol. Doing god's work for Nurse killrate.
And yeah, I've also had Nurse's who can't catch me and then focus others, we do 5 gens and they still walk away with 3k or 4k.
-
I think some are real players, there are some bots that attack in a spot and I even had a more sophisticated Doctor who could move within a range and shock as well as hit.
But I also encountered a Wraith who was afk and I found him cloaked and Flashbanged him for fun thinking he was really AFK, but then he re-position somewhere else in the map and when we finished all gens we went looking for him thinking we could maybe farm some BP and he simply opened the gate to make us leave.

Devs will always listen for feedback. The thing is that it takes time for them to actually implement our ideas in the game. It's not like a week or so. It may take a few months.
Just look at PTB for example. It's there mainly for feedback purposes and to test new content out before it's available to the general public. Look at the Finishing Mori system that was implemented a month ago in the PTB just to make the right adjustments and who knows when we can see it again. Don't worry that they always listen if it's a good idea
I know about the PTB, I was wondering about this forum. I know they answer sometimes, I just wanted to know if there's incidents where a post here actually influenced a change in DBD. That's all.

I think if you want to win you should tunnel and camp.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. If every killer played as "toxic" as this game allows then the killrates would be more representative than they are right now as well as the state of solo survivor and maybe then we'd see some real changes to soloq. As it is now, killers playing nice or farming and whatever kind of obscures how strong those tactics can be, regardless of what perks you bring. Obviously some killers like Leatherface or Billy can be more oppressive than others when it comes to face-camping but face-camping and tunneling are strats that are available to every killer and not gated behind a perk. Countering those does require perks on the survivors side like Reassurance or Off the Record / DS (although you bank on the fact that they'll be chasing you and you can waste time cause you cannot really be contributing any other way) and aura reading perks (if you wanna do the whole genrushing vs camping) and on top of that it requires co-ordination which is not being helped at all by BHVR.
Frankly it's the nice killers that are doing more for this kind of strategy as they are not taking advantage of it and showing how oppressive it can really be, therefore changes to solo survivor are very lackluster.
I say keep doing god's work. Frankly you don't need to care about survivor mains opinion and I don't understand why you are looking for their approval. Real killer mains use this strategy. If you want to win more then take their advice.
The game does get harder as you get higher though on killer and you might need to reset your expectations as you might not be able to get away with the same strats as you used to and will need to adjust to survivors who have adjusted to this kind of gameplay. But those strats remain strong in higher level play so you just need to polish them more.

Maybe it should gain an additional second with the new killer perk that is coming out.

Am I wrong in thinking that if self-care is weaker than CoH, then Micaela sales will rise?
Mikaela is pretty popular and she's only been around like 1 year. It's just that Claudette is free. And last week COH was in Shrine of Secrets.
Also Mikaela's COH does require some map knowledge regarding totem spawns and if you're not that well acquainted with them it can be quite a time waster if someone just started using COH.
And let's not forget that your own team can even give you a hard time if they start cleansing totems before you get to bless one.
And I say this from my own experience as playing Mikaela or other times running Clairvoyance. I simply limit myself to 1 totem as I think it's a fair trade and try to make it to late game if I can to use Clairvoyance.
-
Blastmine: Everytime a gen is kicked that has Blastmine installed in it, the killer is blinded and stunned 0.5 seconds moreeach time. At least now it can work as a sort of kick deterrent as well as a gen control perk.
-
Self Care is a buff. You just think it's a survivor perk, when it was changed to a Killer perk. They can't code it to appear in the Killer perks yet because the client would crush.

You find the killer in that case, it's usually actually easy to farm off of afk killers since most usually have macros and if your team is actually smart you can even double pip easily (unfortunately this is not always the case and teammates won't even heal you and you fully bleed out but that's not worth staying in if they're just going to genrush and depip themselves)
Afk wraith yeah it's much harder but if you have a perk like spine chill it can make your life much easier, however if you don't then I've been in matches where I was walking around the whole match trying to find the wraith to get evaders emblem, so it doesn't always work but I was able to find him some games because of his snarling sound and collision, just hang out near that to max out evaders at least
Whether you pip or depip when you aren't actively being genrushed or tunneled is usually in your control
You should've looked for her in your case, especially since she has a lullaby you can follow
You also don't need any perks to genrush if there's no pressure from the killer, your team is genrushing if they focus on gens instead of seeing where the killer is at
Yeah but that's not a good design. I don't understand why you are so opposed to it.
Not only am I getting into a boring match because a killer decided to AFK but now I have to actively seek them out and if they are a Myers with no TR I cannot do something about it.
I played a game once against a Wraith and I found him because of his noises. Well I thought he was AFK (he kinda was but not really) and I proceeded to Flashbang him for the fun of it. Well turns out he wasn't and just went to a different place. When we finished gens we were looking for him and he just opened the gate.
Again, what am I supposed to be doing in this case?
I definitely came across more AFK killers when I started playing than now, but when it happens it is still a wasted time that affects 4 people at the same time.
And if the game matches you with a killer who just installed the game then it's on BHVR not on me.
If Killer was playing dumb and then he proceeds to massacre everyone then people will be like "Just leave" if you're trying to farm and you end up getting killed because a killer was playing dumb.

That sounds reasonable as well. It does seem that it promotes a not so efficient playstyle if you're looking for your teammates all game just to heal them and sometimes they hide even from you.

Residual Manifest: Blinding the Killer not only causes the Blindness effect for 20 seconds but also makes killer unable to see scratch marks for the same duration of time.

Imagine hope + no mither + resilience + dark theory
Rip 110% killers
Not that I'm saying it shouldn't it does really need a buff or just a rework
At least No Mither would also get buffed indirectly and not be such a troll perk.
Imagine getting teammates who run No Mither with Medkit (I have gotten it and they were prestige 10 or something).
Hope would mean you have to make it to late game anyway.
If people can defend Killers turning around a game with endgame perks, then it's only fair we can defend a No Mither survivor with the prks you listed having a high chance of escape if they made it to end game.
-
I think it makes sense that it should not glow when it's broken because you sacrificed someone before, but not when it gets sabotaged. Now whether they can code these two circumstances idk though. But showing no aura when it's sabotaged is an indirect nerf to Sabo. It's already hard enough to play in solo.
-
You can have fun, you don't have to win.
On the other hand if winning is important, if a survivor with 4k hours keeps getting matched with survivors that have 10 hours and a killer who has 4k how is that fun for him or any of the survivors. Do they even stand a chance?
But I get it you don't care, otherwise you wouldn't make a whole post about how killer is unfun. Imagine making that in November 2022.
All PvP games are at their most fun in the beginning before people figure out the good strategies. If all you want to have is fun then go ahead. No one is stopping and as a killer you don't have to rely on anyone but yourself. If you wanna 4k everygame then perhaps your fun is winning and winning is inherently stressful.
-
Hills though will not be only an advantage to Balanced Landing users but also killers since they'll be able to see things from a far. So killers like Huntress and Nurse will become even stronger if the maps have a guaranteed hill.
-
Tunelling and camping are legit strategies because BHVR doesn't discourage them. Those are here to stay. The problem is that they are fairly accessible without any perks on the killer side and killers have wised up, even by playing a lot or getting schooled by youtube videos. And survivors need perks to counter those strategies or communication and co-ordination (which is not happening in solo survivor most of the time)
I play solo survivor and it can be very frustrating and red ranks because even harder. The thing that is making solo survivor even harder is that they're taking away the power to solo carry and emphasizing teamplay, just look at the new survivor perks., with Potential Energy the worst offender that seems hardly viable in solo and Quick Gambit somewhere in the middle, but obviously much more effective in SWF as you know which teammate isn't afraid of killer or wants the buff, while in solo most people will just run to hide.
-
Reactive healing - you know how to patch yourself up: When a teammate loses a health state close to you, you benefit from 50% progress on your health bar. You also don't suffer from Haemorrhage anymore.
It's pretty annoying when I try to run it and the enemy has Sloppy Butcher and someone loses a healthstate and my survivor starts yelping on his own. You can't even be stealthy with this perk vs sloppy butcher. You get double nerfed in that situation, at least make it worthwhile.
@not_requested49 said:
So not even mention perks like dark theory, Territorial Imperative, and buckle up?
Dark theory: Blessing a totem grants 2% haste to affected area. Secondary effect: if you're injured you gain an additional 2% percent. Now it's a perk to extend chases while injured, could be nice to place in a dead zone.

So you won't mind waiting for 10 minutes for a match... fair enough
I don't think I'll be waiting 10 mins.
In most other games where matchmaking matters people wait. In LoL I wait a minute but it has many players. In a fighting game like Soul Calibur 6, because it doesn't have a big crowd I've waited numerous times 30+ minutes. Do you think it would be fairer if I got matched with people who have sinked in 1000+ hours AND they have legacy knowledge?
The problem is simply that DBD does not have enough players to make matchmaking fast. In LoL matchmaking for my level is fast, obviously because it has so many players.
In high levels in every game that matchmaking works people do in fact have to wait a long time. SO that is only a problem for high level.

People have got to redefine what a "win" is, it's so stupid, would you count it as winning against a full afk team where nothing happens or will you count it as a loss when 1 survivor manages to find the hatch before you you or you (inevitably) get genrushed?
Really what should define "winning' is whether you accomplished what you are trying to do, if that's getting a 4k every game, you're going to have a bad time but if it's something like 8 hooking, getting rancor, or doing a challenge, you're going to have a much better time
Lore wise, it even makes sense because the Entity wants longer matches for it to harvest emotions from, there's no meal for it when survivors get annihilated within 45 seconds of the match starting, so you get punished for it as a consequence
Gameplay wise it makes sense too because if the match ends that fast that wasn't even really a match at all, especially if the survivors give up, you really take pride in that? What's so great about hooking survivors that clearly let you and suicide on hook?
Don't complain about something you clearly did to yourself, actually let the survivor team have a break if you're stomping them
I play survivor 99% of the time. What are you even on?
As you can see in the first pic, there's hardly anyone genrushing. (only Jeff has a brown toolbox, but brown toolboxes are useless) and no gen-rushing perks.
And here the problem isn't the 2 toolboxes and one yellow Prove Thy Seld, but getting matched with a Huntress that only has one yellow perk.
She just couldn't navigate the map. I couldn't even find her.
What about killers staying AFK to de-rank, especially stealth killers? Why should I still lose pips when I can get no heals/saves or even chase time because killer decided they want to afk AND have no terror radius?

Or just remove depipping entirely, especially for survivors
However if you're depipping after hook killing all 4.. that just shows you played really toxic. You're not meant to 1 hook everyone within 30 seconds of the game
Idk, a win is a win. And BHVR seems to support "toxic" gameplay otherwise it wouldn't be as effective. Is it unfun and annoying? Definitely. The one thing I'd like them to do something about is slugging for the 4k when there's 2 survivors left.
Maybe they haven't removed de-pipping cause people would get Iri 1 more easily and maybe not play as much. Can't say I wouldn't like the change, but for a first the could tweck a bit. Solo survivor is just painful to play with de-pipping.

@Gandor said:
If you depip from win, it generally means you got carried in that game and did not do your fair share. Or at least that's how it's supposed to be.
If you don't chase, don't do gens, don't heal/unhook others, then it's fully possible you will depip.
And then there's also the unfun depips - if you face instakill meyers, there will probably be no injuries or hooks, limited chases and only a few objectives points. Sadly that's how instakill killers work (same for condemn sadako).
Other possibility is, that you genrushed poor killer fella (there are various reasons why that could be the case)/took too many op things as killer and the game ended way too quickly for you to collect enough points. This is sometimes quite fair, because it's 0 fun for the other side to be fully wiped out - and you should not play in the most sweaty way possible.
Or what happens is you get a beginner killer vs a team that knows how to play. How is that my fault I got matched vs a person who doesn't know how to play yet and they get lost in the map, should I humor them and get chased. Sure maybe I can keep them chasing for a while, what if a teammate joins in and they are not so good when it comes to chasing and we end up throwing the game cause we're attempting to farm? That sounds way too risky. I'm sure no one pipped that game.
-
@RaSavage42 said:
It all depends on what happened during those matches... like camping (not saying that you did)... if the first Gen was done fast (it counts more for the first Gen and not the rest... So I've been told), chasing all Survivors, hooking all of the Survivors, injuring all of the Survivors, kicking Gens, Pallets and Breakable Walls
And did you do Gens (again not saying you did or didn't), Heal other Survivors, save other Survivors, Cleanse Totems, get into chases against the Killer
The emblem system actually counts what happens during the match... even though some of them are not working right (certain Killers aren't scored properly)
The game was too short. Killer only got a hook. How can I heal any survivors when there are no survivors to heal?
Or when the Killer is AFK Myers. Why should my team be wasted over a killer deciding to drop his MMR?
I'm not referring to the games where each survivor has one role (like say someone only focuses on gens), but those games that end up way too soon because they're not on the same level. That's a problem with the matchmaking, not the survivors or the killer. It should not punish people who win fast.

Killer is more stressful because they get to play the whole game, survivors is more chill cause they don't really get to play when they are being camped or they get kicked out of the game and proceed to the next one. So yeah, you feel more stressed cause you are stuck longer and you never have a moment where you're doing nothing and just staring at screen.

i will be honest, i never get stressed on survivor, i played against a starstruck nurse in RPD and got out simply because i played smart , it wasn't stressful tho
killer....you play pig its like u are running everywhere, gotta chase, no pressure gens, no deal with boon, god pallet, lithe, no that map too big gotta tryhard you just get stressed just from playing normally lol
I played the Artist and easily got a 4k lol. What is your point. Your survivor and killer MMR aren't the same and you only tracked ONE game against a starstruck Nurse that you happened to escape. Can I also play one game of Trapper and get a 4k and say "Wow, see? he's ok. It's killers who are bad at him if I a survivor main can 4k". Get real please you can do better than those posts.

Tunneling and camping aren't infallible. It's situational how effective they are, based on what the killer's doing and what each survivor is doing. Sometimes the play is to body block the person being tunnelled, and sometimes that'll give the killer a 4k instead of a 2k. Tunneling and camping aren't necessarily punished easily, but like hook bombing, it's easy to understand what the punishment is. Some people can't understand it though, and claim that camping and tunneling is an instant 4k.
I don't disagree with you, I was only saying that tunneling and camping are hard to punish and not easy as the OP claimed, otherwise you wouldn't see those strategies be effective in high MMR as well.
And I've made it clear I come from a soloq perspective, where camping and tunneling are easily more successful because of the lack of communication and co-ordination of the team. Killers thrive a lot more in un-coordinated environments, don't you think so?

Yeah, I read it, but your words are so overwhelmingly biased it's not worth my attention.
You're complaining about a new killer. That is very humorous considering his anti-loop is weak at best and can be easily countered.
You're also complaining about one of his perks which puts you in an exposed state after you stun the killer. This seems like a skill issue if you can't counter it.
Exhaustion perks are the equivalent of gen-regression perks for killer.
I'm saving this one as a quote. Comparing gen regression which almost always requires the killer to either kick a gen AND/OR get a down to a free given speed boost for literally doing nothing. Yeah, good comparison.
"Looping gets nerfed"
When did they last time nerfed looping in any way? Most survivors can't even loop properly.
I actually meant to say gen-slowdown. Corrupt intervention and Deadlock are passive perks. The Killer need not do anything for them to activate.
As for slowdown, kicking a gen isn't hard. It takes at most 2 seconds. And wouldn't you say not being able to get a down to activate a gen perk is a skill issue on the killer's part? I would understand if in some maps that might make it more difficult though. To me you also sound overwhelmingly biased in favor of Killer every time I read a post of yours.
Sprint Burst is the easiest exhaustion perk to use as well as Overcome, you literally do nothing to activate them.
But the rest have some requirement.
Lithe requires a window or a pallet to vault (definitely not that hard).
Smash Hit requires you stun the killer, which can depend on if the killer respects pallets or not.
And Dead Hard requires good timing as well as good latency and the killer not to know you have dead hard because they can play around it.
Of all those exhaustion perks Dead Hard seems to be the hardest to get consistently as it does not depend only on your action but the killer's as well and the killer is not a bot to always hit you when he gets in range of you. If you are successful shouldn't the survivor be rewarded? Killers running Eruption, Pain Resonance and other gen perks are not only rewarded with advancing their objective but also slowing down gens and survivor objective.
Some of those perks don't even affect only one generator at the time but more (Jolt, Ruin). Which means more reward for the killer. So a weak survivor not only disadvantages their team by gaining a hook state but they also affect their team's main objective by undoing their progress.
If according to you it is a skill issue that you get exposed after stun and get downed, then can't the same be said about a Killer being looped for a gen's worth of time by the same survivor? (90 seconds). He is probably bad at chasing and knowing when to switch targets. Why should I feel positive about a killer who after getting his first down at 5/4/3 gens because the game IS designed so that the survivor gets downed at some point, he proceeds to camp? Is that somehow skillful. Doesn't he also get rewarded for doing nothing but standing close to the hooked survivor or running around waiting for someone to rescue? Not saying it's an incorrect strategy, but it requires less skill than chasing a survivor i, not to mention it is even more effective if the team is SWF as they don't want to let their friend die and if they do let their teammate die on first hook or after tunneling they just made the game harder for themselves and killer got a huge advantage with one survivor out by doing the least.

Good to know. It only happened to me. I was playing with 3 friends and it didn't happen to them, I went out first so spectated and there weren't any other signs of cheating from the killer.
The cynic in me thought it might be a subtle cheat because the Legion was tunneling me from the start, so when it happened I thought they just wanted an easy game.
Hm...I feel it is much harder to detect cheating in Killers than survivors since he might not be using the cheats on you but use them at your teammates and vice-versa and hard to verify. It's full of paranoia, lol.
But survivors can notice their teammates as well as the killer when chasing.

You don't.
It could be a bug if it only happened to you (unless they use cheats sparingly and subtly).
I don't think this has ever happened to me when versing a Legion.

That is why I think it would be appropriate to have an in game voice chat for the trial
We could start with icons or a ping system and even written chat, that would be a huge improvement already.

"Looping and chases keep getting nerfed" - I stopped reading there...
Do you even read anything that you don't agree with from the first sentence?
Need to know for future posting whenever I see you.
