I'm actually recording stats from my soloQ games now (https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/292784/report-from-hell-35-trials-of-soloq), and since I started that thread, I only got 1 new escape and 6 new deaths, even though before I had ~50% escape rate. So yeah, something isn't right here.
-
The 4th scenario just happened to me again, and I still don't know the answer...
-
That's Escape Based Matchmaking for you. You have 2 options now: either find 3 competent friends and play in SWF ~200 games to boost your MMR, or buy a new copy of the game with fresh MMR and start from there.
-
This is why SWF should be removed from the general matchmaking and be only available in custom games.
-
Presence of "safe rooms" where Nemesis can't enter, but survivors can.
-
Still the most killer sided map in the game because of how small and empty it is. Basically saloon is the only place where survivors have a chance to loop the killer for longer than 10 seconds.

What time of the day do you play on? I found playing late at night usually leads to the same results as yours, but playing during the early night or afternoon I get like 75~80% escape rate (I count hatch escapes as kills mind you). Even on solo Q a lot of my games at this hour end up with the killer getting 3~4 hooks. Faced even a famous streamer from my country on a 2 man SWF and he got only 6 hooks with 1 kill.
This actually applies to both sides. Playing late at night as killer usually leads to very chill and easy games for me, while at the day and early night it's a sweat feast. Funnily enough the role with the shortest queue at that specific time of the day seems to be the easiest one to play.
What region do you play in? At night I usually play killer, because it's instant killer lobby during night. I play survivor during daytime: from early morning to ~22:00, when the instant survivor lobby switches to instant killer lobby. Didn't notice a difference in quality of my games depending on the period of the day, but I'll try to keep and eye on this.

Seeing how trolly your teammates are, you're probably at low MMR so you're overestimating how hellish SoloQ can be. Also you're DC'd and killed yourself quite a lot so you're lowering your MMR even further and yet you're blaming the game instead if yourself, meh
I'm sure I'm at MMR pit at the moment, at what you can call Elo Hell, because escaping through the gates with teammates like this is quite a challenge, and hatches don't give MMR.
Still, I DC'd once and killed myself 4 times, one surrender in seven games is not that much. In those games I killed myself I didn't have a chance to escape anyway, so it didn't really influence my MMR: maybe only a little bit since I died first instead of last, but that's it.
Also, MMR: have you noticed that in many games I wait for my last teammates to die to take the hatch? That's because taking the hatch is better than dying while saving others, so if you play for MMR - you play like this, like a rat. I didn't do it with the emblems, but now I have to. And I bet other survivors do the same, hence the Battle Royale. So yeah, the game is still to blame, at least the Escape Based Matchmaking.

There are many Suicides and DC on your side and the way u choose to describe situation shows u are very tilting person. And u know, tiltilng people are usually very far away from their best performance and u still get 50% escape rate.
I don't see anything to complain about. Not to mention my escape rate is higher than yours.
4 suicides and 1 DC from my side. One in 7 games basically. Too many? You never suicide or just "throw the game" in any way?
And again, I don't consider hatches as true escapes, since it's just luck and they don't give MMR, that's why I stated them separately. If we ignore hatches, the escape rate is 25%.
Also, sandbagging teammates almost every 3rd game is something to complain about too.

You still escaped 50% of your matches so I don't know why you're complaining
Half of those escapes are the hatch luck, and the escape rate is not the only or the main thing I described there. It's the process, what actually happens during those games, how the random teammates play. It's the friends we made along the way, so to speak.

I'd argue that none of the described scenarios are bannable.
1) A survivor crawling to you is not necessarily "ratting you out." They very well could be begging for heals, so that they don't have to spend 4 minutes on the floor while you selfishly hide in a corner. And even if their intention is to "rat you out," its impossible to prove that intent without admission from the guilty party. ...also, they're a slug on the floor--they are hardly "working with the killer" in that scenario.
2) The killer's actions are indepent of the survivors in this scenario. It is not just to ban a survivor simply because a killer granted them a free escape.
3) Not bannable because of arguments 1 & 2. You cannot prove the intent of the survivor, and you cannot ban the survivor because the killer refuses to down them. The killer is free to chose whether or not they want to kill any survivors, and it is not bannable if they opt out of killing anyone at all.
4) The survivor is free to loop the killer in whichever direction they choose. They can't be banned for bringing the killer to you, even if intentionally.
...the only scenario in which I could see this being bannable is if during Scenario 4, the killer has made it apparent to Survivor A that they will not down them, and instead wants them to help find Survivor B. In this scenario, Survivor A is no longer participating in normal gameplay and is actively working with the killer to kill Survivor B.
There are a few additional niche situations in which Scenario 4 becomes bannable, but to justify it I really believe BHVR would need to see the full gameplay to get the whole story.
I've never been able to upload a clip longer than 10 seconds to BHVR's report submission form, so I have no clue how they expect to receive enough context in any video to justify banning someone. Unless its a clip of post-game chat harassment, there just isn't a way to provide damning evidence.
In the 3rd scenario I told about both survivor and the killer BMing the one on hook. When the survivor teabags or spams unhook action instead of unhooking - the intent is quite obvious.
Also, in most of these scenarios that actually happened to me the sandbagger confesses in chat he did it on purpose, just to come up with some kind of made up justification. The intent is most often not even in question.
So it's only possible to upload 10-second videos in their report form? How is it possible to report ANYTHING then with just 10 seconds of gameplay?

U are [bad word] if you dismiss opinion by picking up killer, survivor main.
As i said there are multiple ifs. It's not bannable in your situations.
"As i said", as if you had authority over this and know for sure. Once again, it's just your "opinion", and quite irrelevant one. You have no basic understanding of the described situations, which is clear by what you said about "if the last survivor doesn't give himself to me - it means he was hiding the whole game doing nothing".
You want to say it's completely fine to just lead the killer to your teammate and then BM him on hook while giving high fives to each other with the killer? That's complete nonsense: there is nothing more suitable to definition of "working with the opposing team".
-
@R2k said:
None of them.
1) If hatch player were running whole game and tried to carry as much as he can while u afk wait until he dies. I would let him go too if I manage to find u. It's not offence, it's players respect. Better one goes away.
2) Same as above.
3) I never saw survivors BM each other in game. It usually happens in after game chat. I can't imagine what u did to piss 2 players in a game.
4) Same as above. If i find out u are hiding in a locker whole game while your teammates die here and there. It's not offence to show killer a guy who is wintrading his teammates. It's not fair/fun to play 3v1.
There are many many IFS about it. U can't just say oh wait they are premade and play together.
This is kind of "opinion" I was not asking, especially not from a killer main who has never played soloQ in his life and has no idea what this thread is about.
I've stated clearly about the "hatch game": if two survivors remain with some gens left, it's nearly impossible for both of them to escape. It's either 4k or 3k with a hatch. If I happen to be the one who is not downed, of course I'll go for the hatch.
Some killers who have no idea what is happening the whole game say "i was hiding the whole game", even though I was doing gens the whole game and only was hiding when the last survivor was downed. "You were just hiding all game" is an obvious lie you tell yourself as a killer who often happens to cooperate with troll sandbaggers selling their teammates in order to justify his position. Because the rule states "working with the opposing team", so theoretically the killer can be banned for this too.

Don't run Sloppy into boons. The healing bonuses are so enormous that it really doesn't buy you much time, I find.
Plague is a good call though. Really need to pick her up again, used to enjoy her but am currently in a very comfortable Hag, Doctor, Pinhead, Demo groove.

I swear, I know your name from somewhere...
- The issue is finding the things, and that the time of a killer is at much more of a premium than the time of a survivor (you can spare 1 survivor out of four, but there's only 1 killer). There's a reason why you don't see top-tier killers looking for the boons - unless you run right into it, it's the wrong play 9/10 times.
- You are deliberately ignoring the fact that you still have to find the thing, and hope that it's not in an uncleanse-able spot.
- You are completely exaggerating on the sounds. Also, some killers make a lot of ambient noise, Demo is a particularly good example. It's much more difficult to find it via audio than you are making it out to be.
- Killers also have a much more restrictive FOV, which makes finding them visually much harder.
- Wait, I remember you. Aren't you the guy that defended some maps having uncleanse-able boon spots, because something something hex totems were broken 2 years ago?
Mm.
- I've played quite a few games against boon users, and never had problems with snuffing them, or even ignoring them completely. Yes, sometimes you have to make a choice what to do: snuff or chase, but hey, 4k's are not there to be served to you upon a silver platter. It's like with totems for survivors: you either waste time on cleansing them or save the time and risk getting NOED. But killer mains think that "just do bones" should not work for them, because they are entitled to be free of making choices and managing their time, sure
- I've never had problems finding boons since you can hear them from the opposite side of the map. Haven't encountered a singe unsnuffable spot yet, I heard they fixed them all
- Once again, haven't had any problems with the sound: you can hear them from anywhere within their area of effect
- Emmm... No? Restricted FOV doesn't hinder me finding totems, you have ears to find them
- Nope, I've never defended "uncleansable boon spots"

We *are* doing bones; the issue, in my opinion, is the ability to reset them. How is it fair that killers only get their hex once but survivors can reset it endlessly? Extend the time required to snuff them slightly, make them a little harder to hear, and make them a single use perk like hexes. Theres no reason for survivors should all be able to activate them separately and also reset them over and over. Make the snuff action crush the totem.
Idk why that isnt what they did to begin with
"How is it fair that killers only get their hex once but survivors can reset it endlessly?"
Here we go again...
14 seconds vs 1 second
Sound that can be heard from Mars vs sound that can barely be heard when you are on top of the totem
Survivor can be killed while cleansing AND while blessing, killer is unstoppable and does everything without a risk for his life
Should we continue?

Arguably, so you can choose not to use it on your first hook, saving it for your 2nd rescue just in case that's when you/your team really needs it most.
They can just make it "Press the ability button to use it" and give a 1 second window for the choice.

Add more windows, reduce the pallets, remove breakable walls entirely.
Breakable walls should be removed from the game completely, from all maps. It's a failed mechanic.
-
The number of pallets should be dependent on whether or not survivors play in SWF. If they are all solo - then The Game actually needs more pallets because of how open and dangerous the second floor is. If they are in SWF - then yes, leave them ~5 pallets and they are good.

Proof that Solo Q is underpowered. Unfun? Absolutely. Underpowered? Prove it.
Apologies, I'll make sure to make my sample size 500 games and record them all, then watch as you say "Lmao, I'm not watching that."
Screenshots are not that hard to make.
Also, are you really trying to say that soloQ is on the same power level as SWF?

Well, I haven't stopped recording data.
Also, you seem to be contradicting yourself. Excel tables mean nothing, but you need at least a few hundred games for them to mean something. Which is it? Something or nothing.
Additionally, you asked for me to provide proof. I can't record all of these games. Nor can I record several hundred games and nobody would watch it either.
I've seen you offer up zero proof of your own to support your beliefs, so perhaps it's time to pay up, so to speak.
There is no contradiction. Unproven excel tables are not evidence, and even if they were - 24 is not enough to make any kind of conclusion. Two completely different points here.
Proof of what do you need? Proof that soloQ is full of suffering?
-
Nothing you can do unless either he stops doing it or you DC. Reporting him will require video evidence and filing forms on BHVR website (as well as in-game report too), but you won't be notified about whether or not your report actually did anything. It's bannable, but I haven't heard about anyone actually getting banned for taking the game hostage. It's at rumors level, no one even told anything about their friend or a friend of a friend being banned for this or anything like this. So I wouldn't put my hopes up about the ban happening if I were you.

no, it's that for some reason, my internet is spotty sometimes, (like when microwaves get turned on, dumb stuff), and If graphics settings are lower, the random clogging of internet is lessened.
Graphic settings have no influence over your network usage, they only influence your GPU (and sometimes CPU, but I doubt that is the case with this game).
-
DS skillcheck is one of the most stupid things in DbD. Those players who can abuse the perk are not stopped by the skillcheck: they always hit it. Those players who are in the direst need of an anti-tunnel perk, that is newer players, will be screwed up by the skill check and therefore tunneled anyway.

Here:

This is from my NOED experiment where I played extremely selfishly but wasn't running a meta build. Only Solo Q and only 24 games.
My build was Small Game, Inner Strength, Counterforce and Borrowed Time. In Row 5 I got Hatch.
The checkmarks are when I escaped. X's are when I died.
15/24 = ~63% Escape Rate with a non-meta build on a painfully bad Survivor player.
But these are just my stats from a limited sample size. You asked, and this is all I've got tbh.
So you made an excel table and expect me to believe the data is correct? Well, let me make a table showing I've won 2958 games out of 3000 as the Pig, proving you how strong she is.
That's not to mention 24 games are nothing for statistics. You need at least a few hundred.

I dont see where you have the numbers to support this. I've played more than a handful of survivor groups and they dont always make it. Even then I average 2 kills. So I'm not sure where this 5% comes from.
Those 5% might not be exact, but they must be pretty close to reality, hence the reason why DbD doesn't disclose this distribution.
Whenever I play killer and the survivors are solo, almost always I get 4k (or 3k with the hatch) unless something out of ordinary happens. When I play against SWF, I only get kills if they make huge mistakes AND I sweat my guts out. Almost all of my losses as the killer with only a few exceptions happen when I play against SWF, and the same goes for many other players.
-
Hello, Doctor, Legion and Twins would like to introduce themselves.
-
Survivors got buffed? When? When they introduced the window blockers? When they removed 75% of all the pallets on the maps? When they added medium vaults and made all killer animations faster? When they made sabotaged hooks regenerate over time and made traps unsabotagable? When they added gen kick and regression mechanics? When they added EGC? When they blocked the second window in the shack and nerfed all loops on every map? When they nerfed BT, SC and DS (twice!)? Maybe it's when they nerfed keys and the hatch then? Just when did this "survivors buffed" thing happen in DbD history exactly?
-
They are only favored by the kill rate because most of survivors play in soloQ. The kill rate in soloQ is ~95%, while the kill rate in SWF is ~5%, so on the weighed average it happens to be just a bit above 50%, but this number doesn't mean much when half of your games are boring ez 4ks, and the other half is getting steamrolled and bullied by SWF without you being able to do anything about it.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:

SWF does not mean you get better players because you communicate, it just guarantees you have better players who aren't screwing you over.
Nice anecdotal argumentation. I've had a lot of bad game as the Nurse, it means the Nurse is the weakest killer in the game. Also, yesterday I got 4k with the pig, so it proves the killer is OP.

Of course, if coming up with the system based solely on kills and escapes took them TWO YEARS, then yeah, developing a proper system would take too much time.

No, Hawkins is a horrible map. Can't wait for it to go. I hope RE and SH licenses are next.

Of course, the game is Battle Royale in soloQ now. The increase in this trend is there, although I was never surprised since I know the exact reason to it. That's just how the rules of the game are now, and you'd better be good at sandbagging yourself if you don't want to drop your MMR to the Elo hell with potato teammates.
-
He is worse now since he was nerfed, but sometimes succeeds in 4k if the survivors are solo. I'd put him a little bit above Trickster in strength.
-
Reporting anything without a self recorded video is pointless, unless it's some intolerant words in the end-game chat so that they can use the logs as the evidence. And reporting anyone WITH the video is a waste of time too, because you will spend at least half an hour on the chore and then won't even know if your report actually did anything (most likely it won't).
