Dude yes with my mmr on most killers i will also get this 75% killrate, its no problem but what happens if you get higher mmr. You have more games that you cant win vs decent survs, you are forced to camp and tunnel to have a chance and you only have 6perks you can run because everything else is legit trash
Otz has a huge MMR and he did this no perk & 30s AFK experiment, proving it's the killers who are OP.
-
75% killrate with a perkless killer & AFK for 30 seconds = the game is survivor sided? Mmkay.

Killer queue during the day is never longer than 1 minute and during prime time none existant.
So I'm not sure where you got this 20 minute nonsense from.
I'm talking from actual experience, and the situation with the queues hasn't changed for the last 3 years at least. The only time we had quick killer lobbies during daytime was for 2 weeks after they introduced crossplay. Killer is the most popular role and has always been, no need to make up "nobody plays killer" nonsense in hope for new survivor nerfs.
-
Leatherface. You can facecamp and make people mad, because they can't do anything against it unless they are in SWF. It's the most fun you can ever get from this game.
-
@TAG said:
It's been confirmed that going AFK in too many games is a punishable offense if enough people report you for it (it has to be more than just one or two games, though).
So SWFs can conspire and report every killer they don't like as "AFK" and therefore ban them? Like "let's all report every spirit and artist as AFK". I don't think it's how it works, otherwise the forum would be full of "why the hell I was banned" threads.

@Tsulan said:
Bribing players to play killer won´t work as long as killer isn´t fun to play as.
Who is talking about killer? Killer is the most played side, killer queue takes up to 20 minutes during daytime.
-
They said long ago they would like to implement exactly that. Still, nothing. Making new cosmetics and new chapters with unbalanced killers takes all their time.

You're right, but Survivors have a history of screaming for nerfs before something is even tried on the PTB. 😁
If something MIGHT be strong; it must be nerfed now, before even ONE Killer has fun!
So having fun by your definition is abusing broken and OP mechanics?
-
Scott made a review of a similar "book of good ideas" not so long ago, all those ideas had been suggested and generally approved by the community long ago, and some of which the devs themselves said they would like to implement. Still, nothing. It's like suggesting ideas to a wall.
Oh, here is the video itself, btw.

If you don't have friends who play DbD, playing survivor means playing soloQ, which is as horrible as it gets. So in this case it's much easier to just be a killer main and demand constant survivor nerfs.
-
A sum of many "not big deals" may turn out to be quite impressive in the end. It's just one small step out of many, showing how much the devs "care" about the players.
-
What would AFK prompt do with AFK players? How would it help to solve the 3v1 situation?
As for the reasons: killers AFK to drop their MMR and have easier games. Survivors who AFK at the start have probably went away to the bathroom or to make some tea, and just don't care about the game enough anymore, so they take their time.
-
Yeah, it's not like the game has been losing players for the last 3 months because of all the misimplemented "competitive" aspects, including the DC penalty. I myself haven't played the game for a few weeks partly because of the Escape Based Matchmaking, partly because I can't leave after getting hit from a 5-meter distance, while vaulting, by a 3-meter wide hatchet hitbox, etc etc. People leave because the game is miserably broken sometimes, because they die without their fault, if you punish for DC - people will just let go on hook, and eventually get tired of it and stop playing, as I did. Less soloQ survivors for you to farm, dear killer main, think of it this way.
-
@Mandy said:
And how do you propose this will work?
That would require the game to check all PC files not just game files which would be incredibly invasive. Also, people can always use Discord on their phones.
Make SWF a separate mode out of the main MM queue (maybe with a separate set of game rules to balance things), so that the killers can choose who to play against: solos or SWFs. Problem solved.

I play mostly Solo Q and I still think Survivor needs nerfs.
And I have to take your word for it? Mmmkay.
-
Just try playing soloQ survivor and your opinion will be reversed... if you dare.
-
There is no range, it's map wide and has always been.
-
Just dodge flashlight lobbies
-
The game will never be balanced because of SWF

They can, survivors have done it to me countless times.

you cant Dead-Head through killers.
You can, survivors have done it to me countless times.
-
It's not killer vs survivor, it's SWF vs everyone else. Survivors are weak, it's the comms that let them wipe the floor with the killer.
-
Because they are the monopoly, they can do whatever they wish with zero consequences. That's how monopolies work, it's not like you have another game like this to play.

It really isn't that hard right now. All the killers I against are babies because anyone who is experienced as killer is quitting. So my mmr is really high, I get good survivors, but still get bad killers.
You can really tell that the killer base is so low right now since ques are 20 min on average for survivor, and instant as killer
Queues are only long for survivors in the night and late evening. During daytime they are instant, and killers have to wait up to half an hour to find lobby. And it's been like this for as long as I know this game, nothing has changed here.
-
See you tomorrow!
"survivor gameplay becoming more easy now"
Try playing soloQ survivor and you will never say such things ever again.

That’s simply not true. Many good businesses provide free, excellent customer service, to keep their customers happy and coming back.
They will only want you coming back if you are a regular cosmetic and DLC purchaser. If you haven't bought anything with your money for the last year, you are a dead weight for them. Of course they see all your purchase history, and if they decide you are not worth their time because you don't buy - they will briefly see you out instead of solving your problem. If you don't promise them more profit in the future, why would they care about you outside of what is required by legislation? Business is all about profit and efficiency, after all.

Mobile players had TRIPLE BLOODPOINT gain for halloween + free shards. And for us they only bring it out for VHS beta test.

@VikingDragonXii said:
Yeah ummm hate to say most of those would actually break the game. Its already hard enough for Killers and those passives would make it impossible with Boons and Metas.
Neat idea but no thank you.
You say the game is too hard for killer, implying it's easy for soloQ survivors?
-
Because playing soloQ survivor is by an order of magnitude worse.
-
Gens are not a problem, SWF is.
-
Trickster as a whole is kinda bad.
-
Doing the bones is the counter you are looking for. Or does it only work in defense of killer perks?
-
What if the gens become invisible?

Not at all. I am happy with a 2K against a good team.
But against a good team, the effort to even get a 1K is exhausting. If you're not playing a Killer that isn't A tier or you are not very familiar with, then don't even try.
Hell, even against potato+ survivors who barely know how to loop, the game can be mildly aggravating if they just happen to get a good set up and split on gens.
Solo Queue can be frustrating yeah. But it's more of a "why do I bother" depression, whereas Killer is more, "Imma legit start losing hair" stress levels
For killer it depends on whether you play against SWF or not. Whenever I play against soloQ survivors as a Wraith, I steamroll them. It just so happens that you mostly see SWF in matches. For example, out of my last 19 killer games I recorded 14 had confirmed SWF (proven by their friend lists) and not a single game was against 4 confirmed solo players. SoloQ are a dying breed, and for a good reason.

I toggle between the two all the time. Solo Queue is not 50% as stressful as Killer.
Not even 10%.
Maybe not as "stressful" since you chill at the gen 90% of the time, but it can be much more frustrating, and definitely more of a joke most of the time. When you play killer, you get upset when you don't get 4k, but when you play soloQ survivor, you don't even hope to escape.
-
Try playing soloQ survivor. It will change your world.
-
In soloQ your teammates are your true enemies. Unfortunately the devs only make it worse with archives and EBMM.
-
You can't listen to music while playing DbD. You need to hear every smallest sound in order to orient yourself.

I've had this game since it came out. In my experience, Blendettes would genrush, which pipped them to high ranks quickly, but never interact with the killer, which essentially screwed over their teammates.
Pure genrushing never pipped anyone, I don't know what game you had been playing then. There are 4 categories of emblems, and doing gens only boosts one of them, which is never enough for a pip.

I didn't say it was "cool" but that's the counter. I don't think anyone likes it. Also I don't mean mindlessly drop them, you can pick and choose when its appropriate.
its a lot more than 10-20 seconds, you're looking at 40-70 depending on most killers. Not sure about exact time on the new one because new but its better than trying to loop an anti-loop killer.
Killers can't down in time to keep up with gens by doing so.
No, throwing the whole game by depleting all pallets just to survivor extra 15 seconds is not a counter.
40-70 seconds - maybe for the first chase, but once there are no pallets on the map - it's 10-15 seconds at most.
-
@MrPenguin said:

Hold W and predrop pallets. Basically you just leave loops and try to waste as much time as possible for your team to do gens by running straight as possible and putting obstacles between the killer and you, which at this time is windows and pallets.
Predrop pallets meaning getting rid of all pallets within the first chase? Good idea, sounds like a cool counter.
Hold W? Yeah, running in a straight line from a 4.6 m/s killer and going down in 15-20 seconds sounds like a counter too. That's how all rank 20's played back when ranks were a thing.
-
Within the last 50 games I played as a soloQ survivor, I've met Billies 2 times. One time he got 3k+hatch, the other - 4k. So Billy's kill rate is 3.5 kills per game on average, 4k flat if you consider hatches as kills. Seems pretty strong to me.
-
@legacycolt said:
First I said she’s OP but now that I watched streamers playing as and against her I think she’s really not that strong.
I think people need to realize that not every killer can be looped like the pig for example.
Lets hope she doesn’t get nerfed into the ground because she already isn’t that strong.
What do you do against a killer you can't loop? It's not like there is any other mechanic in the game that can keep you from dying as a survivor.
-
@Shroompy said:
Thing is when a killer camps it is a green light for Survivors to get gens done, there is absolutely nothing stopping them from doing so.
Is it an annoying strategy? Absolutely, especially for the person on the hook, but there are many counters to it.
So how exactly do you counter it as the person on the hook?
-
@OhEtsu said:

It isn't an indicator, but it's still better than a ranking system that didn't even require you to win to rank up, and rewarded never interacting with the killer at all, meaning that the trashy Blendettes got to red ranks the fastest.
I guess you've never played the old rank system. Blendettes never pipped back then, precisely because they did nothing all game. Now on the other hand, it's not hard for a blendette who did nothing to escape and increase her MMR.
-
It took them 2 years to implement the Escape Based Matchmaking. With this kind of proficiency in software development it will take them a century to do something like what you are suggesting.

not inherently. People will continue to play killer despite it being boring because there's no better alternative.
"there's no better alternative" because playing survivor is even worse, that's correct.
