No. Just how they behave afterwards. Tbagging, clicking, hitting on hook, body blocking a hook. None of that is a big deal. But if your reaction after game is anything but "GGs <3" and moving on. You have a lot of growing up to do. If you feel the need to berate someone or say anything negative to them. It's just a game.
Fair enough. Although I believe many will disagree.

You have a lot of growing up to do. If you think "camping" and "tunneling" are scummy tactics. Let alone critisizing someone for their play. Let alone calling them toxic for playing the game....?
Just because YOU have this idea of how the game should be played. Does not mean that is the correct way to play the game b
Do you think any in game behavior can qualify as toxic?
-
Interesting idea but adding these as a free 5th perk slot makes for a lot of good synergies. I think it can be a little too oppressive. This will be a indirect buff to STBFL (Unlrelenting), HEX: Pentimento (Shattered Hope) and basement insidious Bubba.

I do play with a few people sometimes, but they don't play as often as me so I've mostly been playing soloq. I would be interested in joining like a Discord group maybe in the future.
I would too! What timezone do you play in? Maybe we can play some time :)
-
I'm hoping for some sort of solo q quality of life changes. But I think it is going to be bots, which I am happy with as well :)
-
This is tricky, there is basically nothing you can to fix it in solo q. Sometimes the match is lost before you even begin. Lobby dodging may help, but you don't know who is good and who just plays a new survivor etc. Basically it all comes down to you just doing your part of the game.
If you want to fix this problem I would argue that adding some people you feel play the game good enough is the only answer. That way you know your teammates will do their part as well. It will be even better if you find someone to communicate on Discord with (or other programs).

Sad to see people leaving this community. Please don’t bother with these people on this forum who seem satisfied with the misery that is solo q and mock your post.
I’ve basically given up on solo q. I’ve been working on getting some steam friends and play with people I know can hold their own. It’s better this way, at least we have a chance and I know I can trust my teammates. If no one is online I play games with irl friends instead nowadays. Gives me much more joy.
Hope you find a new game and maybe you come back some day 😊

Its not like survivors got a ton of tools (some even basekit) to combat camping or something like that...
Yes, survivors actually got a lot of tools to counter it. And why did survivors get those tools, especially the basekit one, you might ask?
Camping has always been a problem, is a problem and will probably be a problem in the future. The developers can only do so much to prevent it. Basekit BT is a good start.

We're a solo queue buff from them game being in the best state it's ever been, and I am having fun. Not perfect by any means, but I definitely feel like things are moving in a good direction.
That is my thoughts as well. Some sort of QoL for solo survivors is basically what is needed.
More information in lobbies (see others ping included the Killers, other survivors perks), HUD icons and VC. I welcome it all!
-
I'm definitely play less. It's just not fun to play when half of my matches are just getting stomped and Killer queue is 5-10 minutes which I don't have time to.

LOL? U must have never played killer before
What do you mean? Ofc. I have and I don't think Coldwind is a problem in general. Some are more tilted towards survivor and some re more tilted towards killer.
In my eyes the Rotten Fields map is one of the most Killer sided maps. Cowshed is one of the most Survivor sided maps.
-
Trapper add on suggestion: Traps are invisible but survivors are guaranteed to escape on first try.
Thoughts?
-
Coldwind is good IMO :)
-
I also like the map, for me it feels pretty balanced in my games. The Killer most often comes up at the top but the gens are spread out pretty good so the survivors have some chances to finnish some. The house has a lot of strong windows, but most Killers can counter them pretty well.
@Aneurysm said:
My issues are the lighting in the house (at this point I'm just gonna have to put Nvidia filters back on, which I took off when they nerfed Claudette), the multiple very strong windows/strong setups in general, and little bits of shrubbery made out of diamonds just as a 🖕to anyone who felt like playing a ranged/chainsaw killer.
I agree, the house is way too dark.
-
Ye this is really bad. You have to basically throw the game to get it. I skip these if I can.
If I HAVE TO do it I run this build: Blast mine, DS, Head on and one last (I like to run Bond). You might be lucky to get a use out of all three perks and a pallet stun as well.

Yup it’s awesome 😄👍🏻

I would very much appreciate some statement on this issue, yes.
-
The HUD-icons we saw once is not something the developers made, it’s an example from some Reddit member. The icons was not mentioned in any form in the latest road map. Therefore, sadly, my guess is it is not coming anything to help out solo q in the foreseeable future. Just some perk and balance-fixes, the 10 seconds endurance/speed helped a lot.
-
LMAO, unfortunate buddy! Hope the next ones are better for you.
I would rather wait a day than to do a daily of a character I don't like. 30K BP is not worth a bad gaming experience.

Killers got a counter to exit gate teabag BM. Good! :)
-
Solo Q was the worst gaming experience before 6.1. Now it's even worse. I am happy Killers got the QoL they wanted, but solo is really bad now.
What I don't like about how my games go now is not that I die 8/10 games. I died about 60-70% even before the patch. But at least I felt I had a chance before, dying at 1 gen left or in the EGC is fair. Now I die at 4 gens remaining, a lot. The Killer has 2 survivors on death hook while only 1 gen has popped etc. It is just hopeless. We get stomped so much. And that is by every Killer, not just Nurse/Blight. The insane slowdown X chase buffs X nerfs of survivors perks is a lot. It's basically 1 or 2 mistakes being done by a survivor that hurts the team too much. Time management is just not good enough for solo to be good.
There should at least be an option to choose to have voice coms, see other survivors loadouts and ping or action symbols in the HUD. Something!
The biggest problem here is matchmaking. Competent SWF's can still do just fine, they eliminate the surprise of teammate skill and can coordinate their loadouts to synergize.

@Akumakaji said:
As always its "complicated" and there is no fast and comprehensive answer to this.
I consider myself a killer main, but I also play survivor, as most killer players do,and just managed to finally get my last pip for Iri1 survivor this morning. I play enough survivor, mostly soloQ, that I know my way around the problems of surviving and have seen my fair share of tunneling.
Before patch 6.1 killer was in a really, really bad spot and survivor's were pretty save with the predominance of DH and other safety nets. With the way survivors greeded palettes its was entirely possible to run a killer for 4 gens and only waste 3 palettes on the way. It was abysmal.
Then came the big, bad 6.1 patch and for a while survivor gameplay UTTERLY disintegrated and crumbled. This was mostly due to the elimination of DH, as more survivors were carried by it and had no idea how to properly loop a killer the old fashioned way and it felt like an all-you-can-kill buffet.
I know that a lot players claim to be high MMR or a top player, so all this claims can be taken with a grain of salt, but here is my personal experience as a self-identifying higher-ish MMR killer: starting at day 1 1/2 the good survivors were already adapting as most of them knew how to loop or evade the killers notice and wisend up to the new cooldowns astoundingly quick. By the end of day 2 the shock and awe had faded and survivor's looped me like before, albeit a little less greedy at palettes and even t-bagged and BMed me again. Matches felt basically the same again as before, BUT much, much fairer. When I outplayed a survivor, they went down and the base kit hit CD made unsaved unhookings VERY unsaved, so survivors played much smarter and overall things saw much improvement and I enjoyed build variety and playable sorts of Killers.
However it's nature's law that you can't have too much of a good thing and someone always got to ruin it for everyone else, namely the raise of the camping and tunneling meta.
One fundamental problem with dbd and BHVRs patch policy is, that they apply blanket solution's over ALL levels of play. The base kit and meta changes that felt wonderful at the high level of gameplay, and that breathed new life into the game, felt utterly overtuned, even OP and oppressive at any level below that.
Less skilled or less passionate killer players quickly wisenes up to the fact, that camping and tunneling now worked extraordinarily well and went down the road of least resistance. Why they would do so I can't tell, as this playstyle is boring as hell, but it definitely gained traction and became a thing.
I feel it every time I play soloQ survivor, as a constant backdrop. I personally don't wouldn't it too much, if you couldn't depip from a bad game. If the killer insist on camping and tunneling, then I am back in a new game in about 2min, but it ruins the experience for the other survivors. The new 10-20s endurance after unhooking is pretty rad and helps a lot, and I would wish that you could use Reassurance 2 times and from 12m away. The 6m range is its biggest problem, ie if you really want to punish camping then let the survivors do so from 12m away. A hanging survivor serves no purpose for the team, so they don't get anything out of it.
Another option would be to buff Cameradry and let it work on both hook stages. Two cameradries and reassurances per hook stage should make every killer go hunting instead of camping.
I love reading this and agree with what you are saying.

Artist is semi-setup. Freddy was. I wouldn't mind a new setup killer. The "boring" factor of them is really overdramatized, and usually comes from people who haven't played them or got good at them, and/or who don't know how to play against them or have teammates who don't know how to play against them.
Agree 100%!

I see the difference, but that's because you're including head nodding in one. Simply slugging or simply facecamping at 5 gens still serve a purpose. What is it with people forgiving camping and tunneling when the killer's already losing, but acting like they're the worst people that ever lived when it happens to be at 5 gens?
I can't think of any other PvP games where a player can choose to not let the other participate in gameplay. To me, this is worst kind of BM. Behaviour has said themselves that they do not like this, but they are struggling to come up with a method to punish it without punishing strategic ways.

Lol I've legit had teabagging and clicking players DC when they realise I'm not going to pay attention to them. They'd rather leave the match and wait 5 minutes than actually help their teammates do gens.
LMAO I don't get the mindset of these people.. haha

You're confusing killer BM with strategy. It's simple. Survivor tbagging and flashlight clicking doesn't give them an advantage, and is just to annoy. Killers camping and tunneling can be annoying, but it first and foremost gives them an advantage, and often times they have to do it at least a little to win.
No I am not. Strategic proxy camping and slugging for the 4K as part of the trial is fine. Do you think that is what I am talking about??
Slugging all 4 at the ground, nodding your head instead of hooking them. That is BM.
Facecamping 1 survivor at 5 gens left as Bubba and refusing to leave. That is BM.
Please tell me you see the difference.
-
Survivor BM is just this, not that bad. It's over in a second, not that I defend it. The Killer can still roam the map and actually play.
When Killers BM (facecamp, slug) survivors are forced to just sit there.
What is worse?
In my experience, even though I know it happens of course, I don't see much BM from survivors. Usually the Killer is in control from the get go anyway.
-
Incoming "It's not taking the game hostage"-comments..
I usually play a game on my iPhone or go get a drink/snack.

I don't have a problem with DC's to be honest, it happens very rarely. If it happens it is usually because of camping or tunneling, or something weird happening.

The problem with reducing the number of sprays is that if the number becomes too low eventually every Survivor could become stuck with a permanent speed reduction from the Hindered status effect due to being unable to cleanse the infection with sprays.
It's probably intentional that it's basically impossible to run out of sprays for that reason.
🦆🦂
Yes I can see that problem, but I haven't had one game where I was even close being out of sprays. Even the games the Wesker 4K's while exit gates are powered. A small reduction could be healthy in favor of the Killer and his power. Right now it feels too easy to counter. It's still early to say though because people are still learning his power.
-
Use more time to master him, I've faced really good Weskers already. There might be a little too many spraybottles in the trial IMO. People also called Blight bad when he was released, but people got used to him over time. (Though Blight came with a POV-problem.)
-
I understand the need for some killers who struggle in the early game, but this would only lead to survivors hiding in corners/lockers for the first 20 seconds.
-
Lethal pursuer helps with the early game and snowball effect. Most of my games a survivor is injured after 20 seconds.
-
The bubble should bed there but the game should prioritize the Killer aura if it shown.

I'm finding her stronger than before, but I never camp and generally don't put traps under hooks (people always expect them).
The major 'nerf' to Hag was CoH, which - yes, gives her a lot of trouble.
I run her with:
CI - Gives me time to trap the hell out of half the map.
Pain Resonance - Excellent regression.
Devour Hope - Gets people running around.
Monitor And Abuse - Tiny TR, I can set up traps quite close to people or sneak up on them.
My goal is to trap the hell out of a large portion of the map, then circle around with Monitor and drive them into the traps. Works like a charm, and I often get 'wow, the first good Hag I've seen' comments.
Also, one of Hag's strengths is that very few play her so survivors often lack counterplay ability xD
Hope i run into you once, a good Hag is a fun game.

My bad then.
I just brought her up, since how the forum behaved the last weeks.
Of course. People are allowed to go on "oh no, its a XXX". Nothing bad in that. But disliking a killer and being happy to only face a killer once per month are 2 different things. I can dislike playing against Trapper. But i would miss playing against him.
In regard of Hag being useless with the new changes. I´d say that she just requires a different approach now. Different addons, different spots for traps, different tactics. A Hag main will surely adapt.
Agreed! :)

CI doesn't really exist for her to snowball off.
It's there for her to set up all her traps without losing 3 gens.
This.
IMO, CI is not nerfed unless you choose to nerf it yourself. It is the same if you just mind your own business and take your time to set up traps.
-
I wish the developers acknowledged being on the hook is a crucial part of the game. Survivors should gain bloodpoints while being hooked, that way it wouldn't be so miserable. 1 full hook stage should give 1000 bloodpoints imo, if you are hooked from start to end (60 seconds). Same with hook face 2, and giv extra for skillchecks.
I know this doesn't fix any problems, but it might should be a bandaid for survivors being stuck on hook for far too long.

Correct. Sadly many people don´t do that. I´ve seen matches where people were toxic during the match/endgame screen only to face the same players the very next match and going full surprised pikachu face.
Reminds of a streamer I once saw that played a game of survivor, where a 2-man SWF bullied the F out of the Killer saying EZ in the post game chat. He called them out for it. Next game he queued as Blight and faced the same 2 survivors. Safe to say the 2 got as they deserved haha. KARMA!

I hit a nerve there, huh?
Fact is, people complained about facing nurse for weeks on this forum. Then wesker came out and people complained about only facing wesker. Now this thread has people cherrishing not facing hag anymore, when her pick rate is already extremely low.
We need more variety. Not less. All killers should be viable and fun to play as.
Hit a nerve? No. I just believe it is unnecessary to bring up Nurse in a rare Hag-thread.
Also, my point stands. People are allowed to dislike more than 1 killer.
I agree with you that we need more variety, all killers should be viable and fun to play as AND fun to verse :)

Salty people also like to leave comments on the profile. Its just that... if people want to have "nicer" matches. They should start by being respectful after the match. Toxic behavior leads to more toxic behavior.
I agree 100%. I wish a lot of players could grow up and behave. Sadly, there is a big portion of online gamers that hide behind their nicknames and funny profile pictures that are pure toxic.
Treat others as you would like others to treat you.
