If this was disabled because an unhook was inaccessible because of the killer, then Dead Dawg Saloon should be disabled as well. If a hook spawns on the hangmans noose generator platform, the killer can bodyblock that stairwell up.

You shouldn't've given me this information.

  • Prestige tokens? You get one token each time you prestige a character? Upon spending a prestige token you can...

    1. Permanently unlock several perks on your prestige character
    2. Exchange the token for rift fragments
    3. Bribe the Entity to increase the level of one character by a significant amount, receiving every perk, item, and offering in the bloodwebs you skipped
    4. Bribe the Entity to unlock two of the teachable perks in the Shrine of Secrets for free
    5. Bribe the Entity to increase your player level by a significant amount, receiving iridescent shards for each level skipped

I can't think of anything else.

  • I didn't even know it was re-enabled. Why was it disabled in the first place, and when was it re-enabled?

  • It is actually bizarre how the DBD team hasn't done something about the grind, even something simple like removing perks tiers would cause everybody to collectively rejoice.

Surely making all perks tier three couldn't be that hard, time consuming sure, but not difficult.

  • This and much more, devotion should be something that's generously rewarded.

  • Ash is easily the worst survivor, not just perk-wise, but in general. Honestly, just Elder Scrolls 4 horse armor levels of bad.

    • Appears more similar to Dan Aykroyd than Bruce Campbell
    • All three of his perks are difficult to use and promote a high risk, sacrificial playstyle
    • After unlocking his teachable perks and prestige clothing the character becomes a dead end with nothing else to earn
    • Despite spending (probably) most of his life covered in blood and viscera Ash's prestige outfit is unusually clean
    • Zero cosmetic options unless you buy auric cells
    • Ash has two essential recolors, one is a pair of brown pants you can buy for four dollars, and the other is a blue hand you get for buying the DLC, but if you buy the DLC the wrong way you won't get it and you'll have to buy the DLC a second time if you really want that hand
    • Somehow managed to butcher the iconic line "Groovy" by making him sound unusually chipper, as if he's saying it while doing a leprechaun kick
  • "Visionary doesn't show you all of them, both perks show you 3 gen situations because if you see 3 generators within 32m it's a 3 gen.... visionary just has a random cool down."

Now y'see @jakesotto this quote just gives me the impression you've never actually used Visionary. The thirty two meter aura reading isn't static, it follows you around when you move across the map, enabling you to find where all of the gens are with ease. From there you can assess the situation you're in and repair the gens in a way that creates distance between them.

Also, constantly bringing up the fact that Visionary has a twenty second cooldown isn't winning me over. I'm honestly not sure why you're so fixated on the cooldown in the first place.

  • How do you look at both of these perks and think Visionary is worse? Deja Vu shows you 3 gens, Visionary shows you all of them.

Yes I'm aware the purpose of Deja Vu is to prevent a 3-gen setup, but if you have eyeballs inside of your head you can do that with Visionary as well. Also, come on dude, your reasoning for Visionary being worse is that it has a cooldown? It's twenty seconds, Deja Vu is on a time limit, if the timer runs out it's gone until another gen gets done, effectively giving Deja Vu a variable cooldown.

Deja Vu's cooldown could be twenty seconds, it could be ninety, it could just never reactivate at all if the killer has a good enough grip on the trial.

  • In the Darkness Among Us trailer wasn't Distortion advertised to do exactly that, hide the aura of several people healing? I've been running Off the Record in my games and I'd feel very foolish if it wasn't actually hiding my aura.

  • I imagine when most people think of perks with unnecessary downsides they gravitate towards perks with bizarre cooldowns. Perks like Thrilling Tremors, Visionary, and Oppression, but before any of these perks are brought up I'd just like to take the time to say.

    πŸ“’Dragon's Grip has two cooldownsπŸ“’

  • "Hey look, it's Blight... Again."

    GOOD

You want to go back to Nurse and Spirit? Feeling a little nostalgic for some basement bubba and forever Freddy? I hope all of my matches are against The Blight, hearing the meaty whacks of his puss filled body slamming against the cold dusty walls of this infernal prison sounds like mfing Mozart.

  • "I give deep wounds to people working on a gen, AND THEY KEEP WORKING ON IT"

Absolutely blows my mind that survivors can do that in the first place, you'd think getting stabbed so hard you'll bleed out soon would prevent survivors from preforming actions until they stop their innards from being outards.

  • I'm fairly certain the gnome hunt isn't even supposed to be active, the games struggling to give you the charm because you're not supposed to get it yet.

There hasn't been a official announcement for the "event" yet, also the DBD twitter guy disregarded questions related to the gnome "event", giving people the impression that he's not allowed to talk about it.

  • I think Midwich might be the best map in the game.

I understand it's an indoor map with long hallways, but there's something very important that's constantly overlooked. The RNG is only applied to gen spawns, totems, hooks, and chests, but the pallet and window placement is consistent throughout multiple playthroughs.

The DBD team actually took the time to make a map without dead zones, without long stretches of safe pallets, they made a map that looks the same if you play it as survivor and then as killer.

They made something that's actually kinda fair. You won't get that on Gas Heaven.

Also spirit of hawtshorn buff yes please.

  • I would say Ghostface, but it doesn't feel very fair bringing up a character that obviously isn't finished.

I guess Deathslinger is a good killer to point out, the only add-ons I see people use are his reload speed and missed shot cooldown ones. Also I don't recall any bug fixes mentioning the Deathslinger's reeling speed add-ons, meaning that they should still do literally nothing.

As far as I'm aware the only killer to have any add-ons that just... didn't do anything was original Leatherface. His chili & award winning chili didn't function correctly, acting as placebos.

  • I told you to stay away from those mushrooms Spooky! 🀒

  • Is it a fat shaming spot for both sides? Can you walk through it but not the killer?

  • πŸ€”Now this is a mega mind kind of request

My question is what kind of matches are you having that this is even a problem in the first place? Reminds me of that DJ Khaled meme about suffering from success.

I feel like a better change would to buff DMS by increasing the duration of the perk, and (since Lawrence loves pop so much) allow the killer to kick blocked generators.

  • I doubt this is intentional, I imagine the bp you get for struggling is tied to your button mashing. This might be why you could get bp for struggling when you're dying in the sacrifice cut scene. The game isn't telling you to struggle, but you still can, and you get points for it even if you're the last person alive.

Has anybody tried mashing space bar inbetween the hook skill checks to see if you still get the struggle points?

  • Frying pans, pots, skillets, maybe a hot plate or a waffle maker.

    Just imagine the sounds.

    TONG

    SSSSsss

  • I had this happen to me as well, I was using surveillance and oppression. A gen on the opposite side of the map turned yellow as I rounded a corner and bumped into 3 survivors healing while the last one was on a hook.

  • I've never actually thought about that, that's a good question.

  • Shhhhhhhhh! Delete this thread before more survivors see it!

  • "If killers can see how many times the survivors have been hooked then they'll maliciously tunnel people out of the game!"

Yeah because that doesn't happen already, I didn't even know what tunneling was until people started having this discussion. /s

  • Piers Nivans, absolutely loved how he clashed with Chris in their story.

    Also he's better than Chris.

    • Rusty shackles rework
    • Remove the movement penalty after teleporting
    • Remove the camera snapping after triggering a trap

One of the worst things you can do in any video game is take control away from the player during gameplay. You should be able to move immediately after teleporting, and you shouldn't literally lose control of your camera after triggering a trap.

    also rusty shackles 🀒

  • This would be very nice, but seeing as though the community had to pull teeth just to get some colour blindness settings, the DBD team giving us advanced HUD elements to toggle obviously isn't going to happen anytime this decade.

Just look at what they did to the totem counter people asked for.

  • I'm fairly certain the reason why Demo's portals are so restrictive compared to Freddy's teleport is because Demo's teleport cooldown takes significantly less time to recharge than Freddy's.

I can't recall the specifics, but wasn't Freddy nerfed because it was to easy to spam his puddles? All I can remember was Almo saying that Freddy is OP because his kill rate is to high and then not elaborating on it.

  • I voted for survivor not because of anything they're capable of, but because of the map design. Generally speaking either side can be overpowered if they get a map seed that favors their side.

A perfect example of this is Gas Heaven, sometimes the map is full to the brim with obviously unfair loops, and other times, completely desolate.

    Killers are not overpowered

    Survivors are not overpowered

The map design is overpowered, Dead by Daylight cannot be this bloated by RNG.

  • Most likely yes, Felix and The Blight have anniversary crowns in the game files but you couldn't unlock them last year.

  • Only thing I can kill is a bag of shredded cheese.

  • Monstrous Shrine, maybe it can make the struggle skill checks harder in the basement? How about having the perk do the opposite of what Camaraderie does, accelerating the sacrificial process when survs are too far away from each other?

Maybe sprinkle some stat changes in there?

Increase the amount of time it takes to unhook by 20%, killer gets 50% extra bp in the sacrifice catagory?πŸ’°οΈ

  • I fell in love with Freddy when he was first released, even though he was one of if not the worst killer in the game, he was still very fun to play. I loved the animation were he would slowly close his hand after pulling a survivor into the dream world. Also doing well with him was always great, knowing that you beat a group of red ranks with Freddy was a gas.

Then he got reworked, and now people groan when their survivor portrait has a clock behind it. To be fair, people complained about original Freddy too, but it wasn't to the point where people would throw matches just to get away from him.

I wish they'd make the charm bigger, too many charms in this game are unusually small. Every charm should be the same size as that reindeer charm.

  • @offwhiteknight said:

    He's free pips and bps.

Can't get pips or bp when the killer struggles to do their job, dbd is a game of back & forth, you can't win if the killer can't start their side of the game.

  • Username checks out. 🐷❀️

I agree, Billy really feels like the "default dude" of dbd. @Pig_Is_Pog what's your opinion on the Hillbilly's add-on pass? Do you always use engravings?

  • First of all, you can't tell people to use perks in response to something they said. "Use iron will to counter Spirit, use PGTW for gen tapping, it doesn't hold up because not everybody has these perks, and even if they did, you can't modify your loadout mid trial.

Secondly, "Stop nerfing survs with a kill rate of 65-70%". Well you heard him guys, The Nurse, and Deathslinger need to be buffed, and The Pig needs to be nerfed again. That's what the stats say, it must be true.

Completely disregard that tunneling, camping, hook farming, legitimately overpowered ultra rare add-ons, terrible map RNG, over altruism, throwing, griefing, immersion, and survs committing suicide because they don't like the killer/their teammates. These things happen very frequently even at red ranks, but sure, let's buff The Nurse because she's the weakest killer in the game! I'm so intelligent!

  • The reason these characters don't have their own maps is because the DBD team is busy reworking preexisting maps, they will make maps for these killers, just not now.

  • I feel all three of these options are all equally important things every killer should have.

  • Obviously a bug, I know The Nurse has received some updates recently, so that may have caused a domino effect that now makes her blood webs dysfunctional. Does this happen with any other killers?

  • In your pursuit of an official thread, you created one, welcome to the official JP Dead by Daylight championship thread.

    Call that Cptain Potato's basilisk.

  • Survivor: Backwater Swamp

    Killer: Backwater Swamp

I'd rather have Shelter woods and Haddonfield every game.

  • What happened, could you not move forwards?

  • All sacrificed survivors do this, I had this happen with Claudette, Feng, and Dwight.

  • Going to be hilarious watching everybody suddenly become Laurie and Hag mains.

  • If the Resident Evil chapter rumors are true, we could get the Spencer mansion from RE1. Could be something similar to the Silent Hill chapter, an iconic location from the first game, killer from the second, survivor from the third.

I hope we get Luis as a survivor. His prestige outfit could give him a gaping hole where his chest used to be.
