This is a good idea, how many auric cells have you purchased? Y'know, because good ideas cost money at BHVR.
-
I'm sorry but my best wishes for the holidays are of a very rare quality, it will cost you 1000 auric cells to unlock a merry Christmas.

I was facing a wall in both instances that i've seen. One however I was facing a locker not a wall, and it went through the locker from outside the shack door, I was between the two lockers facing the wall and could only see the survivor from my viewpoint, I couldn't even see the flashlight they had.
Also when watching from survivor side I often see them start to shine it on a killer's face but the killer turns away and is blinded later on. Once it starts you can't seem to avoid it sometimes, dunno if it is latency or what, it was bad before but it wasn't this bad until the last major update.
Just gonna have to add this to the grocery list of thing the DBD team has to fix, good luck in your matches. Also, I like your name, sounds like a boss enemy you'd see in a Final Fantasy game.
-
Survivors being able to blind killers from barmy angles is a known issue, and has been a known issue for more than a year now. Do you know for a fact the survivor was behind you, did you hear the click of the flashlight form behind?

DS, Unbreakable, Soul guard...youhave your hand held the entire match /s

I feel a bit dirty reviving my own thread, but I've noticed an infestation of boosted survivors in my red rank matches again and I figured venting here would be better than making a new thread.
So, I keep getting survivors that literally don't run away from the killer unless they've just been hit. I'm not talking about tanking a hit at a gen to finish it, I'm talking about survivors hiding in plain sight, getting found, and then committing to their hiding spot anyway. How is this so common at any rank above brown, if your strategy of burying your head in the darkest corner you can find doesn't work stop doing it.
I've also been seeing a lot of survivors hiding in lockers when the killer is very obviously in a chase, which is a classic brown rank move. They're not using red herring or head on, they're seriously hiding from the terror radius. This alone tells me I'm not actually playing with red rank survivors, I'm playing with people that have been boosted by the emblem system.
I honestly think rank reset needs to be reverted back to how it was originally, with how easy survivor gameplay is in general there's no reason to have ranking up, and staying ranked up, be even easier.
-
According to the kill rates BHVR posted, Deathslinger and Nurse are worse than Clown. When's the Deathslinger/Nurse buffs happening? /s
-
Surprised it's not in the Coldwind harvester.
-
Wait, people are actually getting hit by Victor? Also it's not the hitbox, it's latency, the hitboxes are fine.
-
If you missed the previous battle pass then you gotta wait for the cosmetics to show up on the store.
-
What kind of killers were you playing against? Some killers have smaller terror radiuses, and there's perks that killers can use to temporarily muffle their terror radius.

I should of elaborated. You can hit a survivor with your weapon, and they can heal themselves to full health using a fountain. I don't think taking a bath heals getting smacked with a blunt object but that's just me.
That is also intended, the fountains always heal the survivor regardless of where the damage came from.

Make the 1% great skill check bonus active at all times, and not just when consuming a token.
It is though, hitting a great skill check will still give you +2% even if you don't have any tokens.

Well you can't dodge the clown at all really. The only reason it is fine is because his ability is not offensive. If you cannot dodge the killer power then where is the counterplay? You have to be able to attempt a dodge or it is no fun.
The issue isn't that you can dodge The Twin's power, the issue is that it's to easy. Tacking onto that, the window of time a survivor has to crush Victor is very generous, and after Victor is crushed the killer has to suffer through two different cooldowns. Survivors having fun against a killer is very important, but if a killer's power revolves around getting kicked in the face, even after they land a successful hit, how much fun that will be needs to be a priority.

So, what you're saying is, you want everything just handed to you and you don't want to be forced to actually put in work to catch survivors? Yeah....sorry, but no. Work for your food.
This's a really bad take considering how easy it is to juke, whipping your survivor around at breakneck speeds requires less than zero effort.
-
I assume it's survivor mains doing their killer challenges, the tome challenges are all mixed together so people are forced to do at least one challenge for each role. I understand that when survivors have to play killer for whatever reason they unironically run meta killers and perks. This happened a lot during the 2018 Halloween event where you had to use pustula plants to fill your vials to earn rewards.
-
Fairly certain this isn't a glitch, there's two ways to get up there, and both ways look like stairs leading upwards.

Maybe every chase escaped gives a token? It would punish the killer for losing you by making it harder to find you again.
Escaping from chases is incredibly easy, so much so that the game gives you escape points after being hit and running away. I do think your idea makes a lot more sense than mine, maybe if you escape a chase without being hit you receive a token. Maybe we can merge our ideas, make it so you receive tokens based on how long the killer takes to catch you in a chase.
-
There is a tome challenge to unlock the hatch with a key. Disabling keys when people have to use them in order to progress through the rift is not a good idea. Also, if I recall correctly, disabling items isn't as simple as flipping a switch. I remember the DBD team talking about the old moonlight offerings, and making a big deal about disabling them.
-
Do you have Franklin's demise? Camping keys is a good strategy, a survivor isn't going to do gens when their key is about to vanish. Good luck on your finals too.
-
I didn't even do anything and I feel the need to apologize.
That is honestly appalling, I know BHVR doesn't like handing out refunds, but I think you deserve a lot more than a simple refund. Did it look like that in the store? What does it look like in the store?
-
I agree, I feel like distortion should operate similarly to stake out, gaining tokens when inside the killer's terror radius.
-
Moris can still be used to shut down DS off of second hook, so if you get survivors running anti tunnel loadouts I imagine they'll dodge, or at least consider it. I played a chunk of my killer games today with ebony moris and people were ok with it. Not a single DC today at rank one.
-
It's a well documented issue that emblem related challenges don't always function as they should. Most players, and you, should expect these challenges to take more than one try even if you did what the challenge wanted. I know the DBD team is aware of the issue, but I don't think it's high up on their to-do list.
On an unrelated note, I'm glad to see you rated your match. People should be doing that more often, it's a great way for the community to voice their concerns without wasting breath.
-
How fast was the gen completed? I know that when a Gen is completed quickly at the start of the trial the game may have trouble updating properly.
-
You know that giant tree inside an arena with a constantly collapsing floor, what boss is that? All I know about it is that everybody and their mother hates that thing, so it would be a perfect fit for DBD.

Eh? Wdym? I've been playing for a few months and only just gotten a laggy game, if that's what you're getting at. Mobile versions way worse, imo.
I remember a while ago switch users were raising hell complaining about the mist causing performance issues, I was just checking up on you guys. I'm glad to hear you've been having stable games, good luck in your matches.
-
sniff sniff
Smells like somebody's being ungrateful in this thread! Next week you're only getting 5,000 BP, and you better enjoy it!
-
How's the switch version holding up, still a slide show simulator? Do you guys have performance options yet?
-
Absolutely yes, this game needs more offerings like this, even if it's simple "spawn here" "spawn there" kinds of offerings. Also having them double as blood point offerings is good too, in my opinion every offering you use should give you a point bonus.
-
They decreased the amount of shards we get from 1,000 to 500 without increasing the blood point rewards! Lets goooooooo! I'm gonna be able to buy half of one common rarity cosmetic with that!
In all seriousness, these charms and sweaters are very nice, I'm honestly surprised they just gave away Zarina's sweater. In my opinion Zarina's sweater is one of, if not the best Christmas sweater they've made so far.
-
Gotta love trying to abuse a developer oversight and having it blow up in your face.
-
In the most recent Q&A stream they said they're changing The Blight's FOV, but it's going to take some time because they have to change his animations as well. I'm not sure why, but they made a big deal about the player being able to see The Blight's hands.
-
I believe the game director specifically said he likes the idea of the game being balanced around 2 kills and 2 escapes, I think that's good. I find it odd how most people think that counts as a draw, especially considering how testicle terrorizing playing killer can be sometimes.
Winning for me is just having a match last longer than a few minutes. The trial doesn't last until that ten minute mark? BG

You're out here doing tests? Do you know where you are, we don't do tests around here. I'm going to follow BHVR's lead, no testing! If it's not in the statistics it don't matter!
-
Yeah it's a great game they should play it sometime.
-
Changing the struggle phase for the better would make people happy, so it's obviously not going to happen. That's like the DBD team's least favorite thing to do right now.

Ill start with the hits. Those hits are not normal nor easy to understand. Judging by how you reacted to me shift teching a fast vault/walking into it I take it you either rarely play survivor are have not gotten good enough to know the ins and outs.
If you fully land a fastvault you are safe in a normal situation where hits are fair. Test it in a kill your friends. If you fast vault a window and stand there then a killer lunges you wont get hit.
For blight on controller run max sense and work on flicks and not getting spun. Basics is all you need really. Once you get those down. The mirror advanced stuff comes in. PC is the only way to take it to another level
"If you fully land a fastvault you are safe in a normal situation where hits are fair"
Obviously not considering that you had 69 ping in the videos you showed. You can't claim that wasn't normal or fair when you got hit twice through shack window in a game with a solid connection. Also, both times you were hit mid-animation, you can't tell me to fast vault a window, stand there, and then have the killer lunge because that's not what happened. You're closer to the window when you're mid-animation, if you finish the animation, and then have the killer swing afterwards I doubt the hit will connect.
Also, max sense on console as Blight? My game is gonna look like an oil painting lol. Thanks for the advice.

Killer is not frustrating its relaxing. I get easy teams way more than sweat teams which can be boring but atleast I'm learning blight. I am red rank as killer. Funny that you say getting hit through windows are intentional I dont think you understand. Since you dont explain these hits.

https://xboxclips.co/azame-san/c379ab2e-4970-4e7a-96d6-0b9f14acb9f5
These were both custom but it's still insane to think about.
The killer's weapon hitbox is a massive square, the hits you showed are nothing other than normal and easy to understand. If you take the time to look at the videos you posted, you're standing well within range of a basic attack. Honestly I'm more concerned with the fact that you repeatedly fast vault shack window simply by slightly sprinting for a millisecond beforehand.
I'm glad you're finding relaxing rank 1 matches though, you got any tips for playing Blight on a controller?
-
How do I deal with SWF?
I lose.
I feel indignant.
Not always in that order.
-
If playing survivor makes you frustrated, playing killer is going to make your brain cannibalize itself. Unless you're below red/purple ranks, green & below is pretty casual from what I remember. Also, survivor queue is bad because playing killer is significantly more frustrating than survivor. Also, also, getting hit through windows in intentional, it's not going to be changed because that's something killers are supposed to do. Windows are an infinite resource, but they're not as safe as pallets, at least they're not supposed to be.
-
The best way to buff second wind is to remove the prerequisite, have the perk activate once you are unhooked. Think about it, you can only get unhooked twice in one match, you can only use second wind twice. It's not even that strong, even when you take away the prerequisite it's still not that strong.
-
That fact that people get upset by this honestly baffles me, these survivors aren't trying to disrespect your blood line by unhooking themselves. This an innocent attempt at a kobe, if you rush for an unhook when the survivor still have forty-ish seconds on their timer the least you can do is let them try to do the singular thing they can while on the hook. You don't lose anything by being polite, your anger is misplaced.
Also, waiting for a survivor to hit the second stage of the sacrificial process before you unhook them is against the rules. If the hooked survivor records you sitting there letting them die there's a very good chance you're gonna get thrown out the door.
-
Just to clarify both survivors and the killer can't get past that rock, they can't enter the shack from that doorway?
-
That's absolutely not how that should work, excellent report, hope this gets fixed soon.
-
That's a very unique glitch, nice find. I don't think I've ever seen a Claudette wear that outfit, probably because it's not the same color as a bottomless pit.
-
David's inability to wear clothing is a well known issue. Could you post the names of these problem cosmetics so the DBD team knows exactly what is clipping into what. Thanks.
