So when a Fog Vial has been used it is suppose to suppress Aura and Scratch Marks but I think the Scratch Marks part is bugged.

Not gonna lie i didnt know fog vials did anything of use. I don't play survivor so never read what they actually do but as a killer been seeing them a fair bit recently and i must say that when a survivor drops one i don't really notice any aura or scratch mark suppression because i can visibly see the survivor due to the fog vials not obscuring any vision really. However I will look down next time to see if any scratch marks

Perfectly balanced as all things should be;
Change it so when a Killer is blinded in any way, they get 60 seconds of being unable to be blinded by any effects.Make survivors slow down in tiers, the more bloodlust the killer has the slower the survivor moves.
Allow killers to DC 4 times before getting any DC penalty, alternatively make any DCing put any player on a 5 minute wait and progressively increase it. No more courtesies for anyone.
Make it so when a survivor is within 1 meter of a killer while the killer is in chase, that player is exposed.
If a survivor is unhooking another survivor, make it so no matter the state of the unhooking survivor, they are interrupted if they are hit and do not get the unhook.
Add a delay to survivor dropping pallet animation to match the duration of the stun killers suffer.Make it so if a killer stands still for 5 seconds or longer, survivor's auras are revealed unless inside a locker.

Where is the variety? It's so boring seeing the same thing over and over again.
See i was gonna say ive seen a bit more variety recently in regards to survivors and the perks they are running. yeah you see sprint burst or lithe every game but im being hit with perks i didnt even know existed as well.
I don't believe you are going against the same things every game however if you are and you don't like it then maybe its time for a break.
I don't mean that in a mean way or anything but if your truely finding the game boring because you feel like its the same every match maybe its time for a break from DBD and pick up a new game for a bit.
I did that for about 6 months came back with Vecna 2 and its been a real variety im going against -

Theres and argument saying since Hold W is strong against the First he needs to be 115% move speed to help against hold W
The issue is if you did this then he would for sure be to over powered. Although its annoying having a suvivor holding W you can counter it with perks such as batteries or other haste perks. Given that his power is really powerful at mid/high level then he does need some drawback else your playing an M1 killer with a kick ass power
-
@BongoBoys said:
Enough time has past it's time to discuss if the First is OP or not now what drived me to mskr this post was cause I've seen talk from creators like Otz and Hens saying he's not Op and actually exhaustion perks destroys the First and that exhaustion perks need to be nerfed.
What do you think?
Short answer to this is No.
The long answer is Yes and No
Why I feel he is OP
In the right hands he is OP. I have been playing him since release and honestly put more hours into him than i have played DBD over the last 6 months as i find him extremely fun to play. This means i am getting used to his power and the little tricks needed to get good with him. There are times i down a survivor after 4 perfect hits (2 to get into power then 2 to down them) and i do think sometimes "Man this killer is a tad OP kind of needs a nerf".
However there are times when i play him and miss a hit with his power then have to spend 3 - 5 business days catching back up to the survivor because he is so god damn slow.I feel like he is similar to Nurse and Blight. In the hands of a new/casual player he is extremely hard to play. If you miss your shot you lose so much distance, have to spend a while catching up and pray you don't miss the next one. But on the flip side those players who put the time to learn his power will start destroying survivor teams.
Why I feel he isn't OP
Firstly he is a slow killer. His slower movement speed means a survivor just has to hold W and you will have such a long chase. He is shut down fairly easily in a chase by any haste perk, if you don't run aura read then your just shooting blind especially on indoor maps where survivors can break line of sight all the time.
Secondly he is shut down by anything with elevation. I'm not talking about multi level maps like the game or RPD im talking about parts of the map that has temporary elevation. As an example the hills on the outdoor maps. You can't shoot thru them which means you have no choice but to either run around them or leave chase.
When your trying to get quick hits with your power if a survivor is near a staircase, The hill, even things like the railings on dead dog saloon then your power will end up hitting something completely different.I've been testing various counter plays with him with my wife in customs and there are a fair few things that you can do to shut him down.
Firstly Deception. Because he is a slower movement speed killer I personally find that deception is messing me up, You hear a locker and think the survivor is just hiding from your power. by time u get there you have no visual on the survivor because of the distance they have gained and i would say 7/10 times I have just completely lost the survivor.
Any sort of haste perk. Be it temp haste like sprint burst or lithe or a more perm haste like boon this really messes with the killer. Normally if you can light up the circle so the survivor is dead center then you are guaranteed a hit. But if survivor has any haste then that is no longer the case.
And simply Holding W. This won't let you escape but holding W and not taking a weird side to side path to lose distance will ensure that the chase with Vecna lasts longer than it should. -

It's something you can't quantify. If you make giving up or DCing wrong across the board, you end up with harsh penalties for situations where maybe the power went out or maybe you get a string of hackers (which are becoming more common). Even if it prevents pettiness, it starts to affect everyone eventually in a game this unstable. Alternatively, you get a system like the Abandon system we've gotten instead which spares your time in some scenarios but it doesn't prevent many of the reasons players DC or the source of their fatigue.
Essentially you have to let it happen for the health of the game, but improve things so players are less prone to do it. When morale boosts enough, players will adapt.
I dont overly agree. If your power is dropping that often its causing huge dc penalty then the game is the least of your issues
As for string of hackers how often are you really going against them? And if you say all the time then i want the proof. Over the last 8 or so years of playi g this game ive not gone against a single hacker that has made it obvious or held hostage. Lilely hood is just subtle ones thats it.
So yeah i stand by harsher dc penalties
-
Thats interesting. When i view my stats tracker it shows as an escape for the survivor.
This game was 3 dc then a abandon (1 hook and 1 gen done not sure why teh rage quit)but its good to know it it doesn't for the survivor at least
-
Just saying this was a rant post yet this descended into chaos XD.
I think overall the bottom line is players on both sides are salty when things don't go their way. Honestly i think there should be no reason to DC other than being held hostage by a hacker.
Again today I had someone rage quit but this time they DCed right on final down. Like they were dead and all they had to do is wait 2 seconds to be hooked. I had even picked up before they DCed so clear i wasn't gonna slug but no rather take a time out and rage quit than wait 2 seconds.
Another game a survivor run up to me and just DCed without even a chase. Just doesn't like the new killer.
Honestly I'm with those who say harsher DC penalties. Still have the first one being fairly free because honest disconnects happen like power outage and such but after the first DC need to start doing something more as clearly the current system doesn't discourage it.
I like the idea of having anyone who DCs being only qued with others that DC. Its sort of a soft ban. Longer que time and the game likely is gonna be a bad one however this would then punish the killer potentially if they get into a game with players who just rage quit. -

PPL that I play with only DC when the killer is tunneling, proxi camping, all for that precious mori. When a new killer is released that is all we get because that is all they want to do. Not worth playing it isnt even a match. For us we do not DC because things do not go our way it is because they do and the killer cant handle it so they slug and or tunnel. Which we can take chase but when you are the only one not being slugged it doesnt last forever. No one wants to lay on the ground forever while three ppl are on hook, not being able to take their chances to get off hook , because ya know why would we be able to, going next. There will never be a game balance they change things way too much and do not include all the changes in the patch notes. Like why do surv only get a slight decrease hook offering now, why did they just nerf anti-tunnel perks for an anti slug move that they tabled again. But did they reverse the perks they nerfed for it nope. The game is the game. One person mentioned play with bots. We as surv (not all I am sure) would love to be able to just play with a bot killer with different levels of skill, as I am sure killers do not care either if they have bots or not. I am not saying anyone is right or wrong I am just saying it is the game, it is a toxic game in nature. It has become my not so played game, easier to just walk away than get pelted down with nasty comments or lame game play (by either side).
This is fine for you but in my experience no matter how the killer plays survivors are DCing. I think you missunderstand my issue. You say multiple slugs and 4 abandons isn't the issue here. the issue is first down instant DC. outplayed at a loop instant DC. Majority of the time a DC comes after a survivor gives me the bags, gets rolled then cries and DCs.
I get that killers play in an unfun way (nicest way i can say it) with slugging and tunnelling but at the end of the day you que for a match play the match. If you can't handle a bad game every now and then maybe its best you don't play this game because no matter if you play killer or survivor your gonna have games that are bad be it either thru getting destroyed as the other team out skills you or just toxic behaviour from either side.@ImWinston said:
- Perhaps we should understand the reasons that lead DC to some survivors... for years I've heard (and experienced) the same story. If I were Devs, I'd try to understand why, instead of simply punishing with a ban. If this problem is really as serious as we all claim, it's time to ask ourselves some questions.
I think the reason a lot of the time is the player is just unhappy playing the game but plays it anyway. So much burn out leads to rage, toxicicity and eventually DCing if its not a free/easy win.

Goes to show just how weak the survivor mind set is when they refuse to play the moment the game doesn't go there way. No balancing changes can fix the players behavior.
100%. like i don't play tunnel or camp (unless survivor hands it to me by insisting on body blocking off hook) and i try to 3 hook everyone but no matter what it seems like a lot of the people I'm going against just want either a free easy win or they rage quit. I just thank the devs that after 4 disconnects im able to abandon so im not stuck playing with bots

Not if it were accompanied by meaningful and positive balance changes to the game. Something that we barely did get in 2025.
Even then just because its balanced doesn't mean its fun. No new content means rehashing the same thing and although some have their dedicated mains they go back to a lot will want new content to try to keep them interested in the game.

This is not a hate post against any winstreakers, and I'm not talking about cool stuff like 50 winstreak challenge, copycat challenge, or no perk challenge.
I'm talking about the tryhard comp guys who go in each match fully loaded on their blight, nurse, etc., or a 4 man team and absolutely demolish every single match as if they are in a tourney with cash prizes. These guys make maybe 1% or 2% of the entire player base probably. The majority of their matches are stomps with absolutely no chance for the unprepared average gamer to win. Even a relatively good player will often get smothered by these comp guys. If you ever had the misfortune of playing against one, my condolences to you. I had too and it's just a miserable experience. Dead by Daylight truly at its worst. if every match was like this, i might've actually quit the game long ago. Thankfully they are very rare, but my point stands. These guys should never be allowed to match against the average player.
This post is essentially just another post complaining about the trash matchmaking, which seemingly the devs dont care about, so whatever I guess. ==
So i get where your coming from but i don't agree. How would this work. What survivor is ever going to queue for a game that is guaranteed going against a player like this. What your suggesting might as well just be a perm ban from the game as they will never get a game again anyway.
As a killer I've been against survivor SWF that have destroyed me doing gens super efficient, destroying me in chase then all escaping with 1 or 2 hooks only and honestly its fine. If these games do come up so what you have a game you lose then you move on. I would 100% rather go against this than a toxic bully squad or a killer that wants to slug all players and wait for a 4 player bleed out. (although not as popular now with the abandon)
At the end of the day players can play this game however they want and if you have a game against one of these players who are super try hard then you play the game, likely get a loss and you move on.
With all the toxicity in the game these days having a game that is over quickly with no toxicity from the other side is a blessing -

Genuine question as someone who doesn't play survivor very much anymore, I had a chaos shuffle match where I played springtrap and rolled a team. I'm talking I had 10 hooks by the time 2 gens got done. I clearly won, but then I decided to relax and try to learn how to trickshot and they ended up getting out due to a genuinely long chase and an aggressive use of DS. I proceeded to get T-bagged in the exit gate they wouldn't have gotten had I not literally given it to them and they got 4 man out (which again, I wasn't really trying to win at this point.) What made them cocky there? What's with the toxicity? Did they think they got a comeback or something?
I see this a lot as a killer main myself but at the end of the day its not survivors that are toxic. its a minority of the community that are toxic. These sorts of players will be toxic to the other side no matter if they play survivor or if they play killer and i do see this a lot. I've checked profiles of toxic players in end game chat and their wall is filled with posts claiming they are toxic when they play survivor and when they play killer.
This topic is brought up a lot and you get people defending both sides justifying the behaviour of one side because "the other side is worse" but truthfully these toxic players are bad on both sides.
Now I will say if you play both sides equally you will find that more survivors are toxic than killers are and this isn't because there are more toxic players playing survivor this is because you see 4 times as many survivors as you do killers which means you are always going to find more toxicity from the survivor side and that's just math. -
I understand no mither as you said it ruins games (although is very funny when someone gets it with a self heal perk ngl)
for Boon Exponential and Unbreakable i wouldn't know. My best guess would be that in a swf any self recovery can lead to very long games if a swf wants to as all it takes is players going down in a boon while others with a flashlight show themselves meaning killer can't pick up but thats a very out there theory
As for A Nurses Calling my best guess is because chaos shuffle you can't guarantee anything having killers pull A Nurses calling means potentially no healing for survivors which would make the game kinda unfun especially if its a mobile killer -

I think that they should continue with a reduced release schedule. 3 full chapters per year are enough.
3 releases per year the player base would get bored.

What do you all expect. I'm honestly shocked we got anything at all. Ill take the 250k but its a bit insulting to the player base but unfortunately it will never change. If they gave everyone 2 million blood points for example with a new killer release coming next week then it would let every player actually get a couple of prestige levels for free and we don't want that now do we XD

I don't agree with Mandy's statement and view of how the feature "PLAY WHILE YOU WAIT" partially resolve the problem for Killer queue time and Survivor players are low. There are more Survivor mains, than there are Killer mains and that is a proven fact.
Besides, the community itself made that clear of how this is a "Survivor sided game" Matthew made that reason clear to Otdzarva's response as well.
Additionally, lack of players does not really cut it because why not have Killers do a custom match while waiting for a queue? So, much thought could have been put into this for Killers to freshen up.
I like the idea of a custom 2v8 match while you wait. Be able to play the mode with a friend against bots while waiting for a real game.
My main complaint about the "Play while you wait" and the reasoning behind it is I don't want to play survivor. Survivor is kinda boring and 2v8 increases that a little because now you have even more solo que team mates to let you down. -
A lot of comments so gonna give my overall final thoughts.
Firstly I did miss read the second part which is regards to no gen kicks after kill. After reading comments and re-reading the line I believe it works so as long as the first kill isn't the last person you hooked (basically hook, down, hook) then you won't get the debuff of not being able to kick gens or block them.
Now saying that it does mean that it is Incredibly easy to cheese this mechanic by hard tunnel first survivor for 2 hooks, hook someone else then go for the kill. you will trigger the gen progression for survivors but should not trigger the no kick/block gen debuff.
Overall a lot of the changes I like. The anti slugging is fine however I can see it being abused like crazy by SWFs feel free to ask how if u want. the buffs you get for unique hooks is great especially as a clown main who already goes fast that extra haste is gonna be amazing after hooking someone so incoming super speed clown :)
I'm very worried however about the numbers. Over doing the buffs or over doing the de buffs is going to make or break these changes and honestly my faith in them getting it right isn't high based on previous updates but I have some hope that they will at least fix any issues after PTB. -

And what if no one rescues them? They die on hook and if you wasn't quick enough to get another hook in (2 mins If I remember right) then they are your last hook and survivors get both bonuses, faster gen speeds and no regression. Can happen in a 3-man swf where they let the random die just to get bonuses.
This is a fantastic point. Have they thought about this. Would this also trigger the gen progression if someone is left to die on first hook. if both things trigger just because survivors haven't rescued it means survivors control if they get a buff or not.
Now on one side it means a 3 v 1 without losing any pressure so unless gens have already flown then if someone was left to die on first hook you can likely win that game 3k or 4k fairly easily.
On the flip side if BHVR has thought about this and simply being left on hook for multiple hook stages and even die on hook doesn't count towards the death before 6 hooks or the kill last hooked it means that proxy camping and hook defence is going to be a fairly strong Strat if their is no downside. -

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3989928#Comment_3989928
You're not throwing anything. It's a 3v1. Are players somehow losing 3v1s with multiple gens remaining? It's almost impossible to lose in those situations. The gen speed buff is there to make 3v1s slightly less impossible for survivors.
It depends on the match. Even if you hard tunnel someone out of the game unless the other survivors have been doing nothing or the one your tunnelling is going down basically instantly you will likely lose 2 or 3 gens before you get the kill. again very team dependant but at least 2 gens should pop.
When i say your basically throwing the game i mean just leaving someone alive because the game punishes you for killing them to quickly (which that statement as i write it is stupid in a game that revolves around killing people) means that its more pressure you lose which can very quickly snowball for the worse for you as a killer. -
@jesterkind said:
I think you might've misread part of it, regarding no longer being able to regress generators.
It's not - as I understand it - that it's any time you kill a survivor, it's if the survivor who was on hook last is hooked again + killed.
To put it another way, imagine your last four hooks look like this: Jake most recent, Dwight before him, Meg before him, Claudette before her. Now imagine they're all on death hook.
If you hook JAKE, you're locked out of regression. If you hook anyone else, regression still works for you.
Regardless though even if you do trigger the kill before 6 hooks never being able to damage a gen you might as well hand the win to the survivors. Faster gen speed and can't kick to regress them meaning so many perks are useless.
-
@Jacknalls_Paw said:
They were introduced specifically to discourage tunnelling.
Without them, the killer could easily tunnel as if nothing had happened, simply waiting for the collision loss timeout.discourage tunneling sure but there are 2 types of tunneling. now if you find someone you previously hooked or happens to be on death hook then you are forced to leave them and try and find someone else which means you will be basicly throwing the game to be the nice killer.
I have a real worry as someone who runs Devour Hope that given at 5 stacks devour hope allows you to mori the next down it means that im basically called a tunneler because ive killed before 6 hooks. -
100% agree. This is such a bad change and I pray that they see sense and don't make this go to live. If it does then Tombstone myers might as well be removed from the game cause anyone playing tombstone doesn't hook at all.
Honestly i get they want to address tunneling however all they are doing is making a worse game for survivors. You go from occasionally being tunneled out (be it a killer who wants to hardcore tunnel or…and this is MUCH more common, survivor induced tunneling) and now with the benifits killers are gonna get from not ever tunneling and spreading hook states its gonna make the experience worse for survivors i feel.
I can already see the forum posts now. "Killer buffs to strong"…"Roll back killer buffs just punish tunneling" -
The problem we have there is both sides want an easy ride. Killer's want free kills and survivors what free escapes.
Now i play clown as my main always have and yeah the buff to 15% haste with addon is insane im finding myself getting a lot more hits when i normally wouldn't. I don't class myself as an extremely good killer either. The one thing they can do is change the haste addon that makes it 15% instead of 12%. Base kit 12% with no addons to buff it would be fine. He would still feel playable at most tiles without being to over the top meaning survivors don't have a chance.
For those complaining about the 1 second bottle timer for activation it really isn't that big of a deal. Even if u make it 2 seconds you will just throw the bottle an extra few metres and a second earlier so you maintain the speed it won't change much. The only thing it will change is the first speed boost being 1 second slower.
The big thing that is getting me hits is survivor greed. So many people are playing loops like they are playing old clown and i think a lot of the issue comes from survivors not knowing the timing anymore to loop properly. Learn the timing and you will get that stun and escape. Just run smash hit and stun the clown and u will get away job done.
I think everyone should wait and see what the PTB brings next month and in the mean time just deal with clowns as they come. -

These are true, yes, but having such an improvement to DBD's extremely lengthy grind would greatly improve newer players incentive to play the game more and get whichever perks they want.
If a player is incentivized to play more, wouldn't it also be rational to think that they could end up having more investment into the game in general (either in characters, or skins, or getting others to start playing as well)
As things are right now, it takes 35 Hours of straight gameplay to grind enough shards for 1 character…
I guess it comes down to if new players are happy to pay to win. If your happy to P2W then you will just buy chapters and sink 1 mill bp into those characters to unlock the perks. If your not you will sit and grind out irry shards for shrine of secrets.
-
Simple answer is money. If you can get every perk at any time thru the shrine then what's the point t of buying all the chapters. If your a survivor main you will only buy the survivors you like and never a killer and vica versa. Honestly if every perk was avaliable then I wouldn't own half the chapters I do

yeah horribly unlucky has summed up my games today lol.
Honestly think being able to sell addons/offerings back to the entity for half the cost should be a thing. Expecially as maps are basicly wasted blood points now. -
Honestly just remove fog vials from the game completely. As a survivor they are so bad as people tend to drop them the moment a terror radius is nearby which alerts the killer to where you are. As a killer they aren't even useful as maybe once i've lost a survivor because they were running a full stealth build other than that injured you follow the blood/sounds or you just use your eyes and watch the survivor as the vision change isn't really anything. Overall this item is just obnoxious for both sides and ive only ever seen them be used by survivors trying to meme (aka throwing the game) and not used in any real situation

Honestly im with those who stopped playing. The only way devs will learn and actually put time into fixing game breaking bugs quickly is if they are punished. How do we do this? Stop buying DLC, Stop buying cosmetics and stop playing their game.

While we don't plan to have a separate queue for Fallen Refuge, I can confirm that the team has adjusted the map weighting to give this map a greater chance of showing up for players for the next week.
Can you explain why this is even a map to begin with. It was only intended to be a placeholder to show off the new tile then suddenly BHVR shoves it in as a new map which is barely seen by any players as you guys don't seem to want to promote your new map.
Why wouldn't you want to promote something that you worked on and have on live servers? -
As we know the coding for DBD is basicaly spaghetti so they don't know what effects what when they change things.
This could be fixed if they actually updated a more recent version of the game to PTB so that when things are tested its tested on the most current version of the game.
One thing I suggested a long time ago is every time there is a PTB then 2 PTB's are done.
The first one would be as it is now. Generally over done nerfs/buffs and broken as anything. This then gets fixed and fine tuned then a second PTB (which would have to be run on a copy of live servers) would be run to double check that the fixes and changes they made didn't break anything. They could even state that no further changes gameplay wise will be made with the exception of game breaking bugs and exploits. This would mean MUCH fewer bugs, especially game breaking ones, would go to live servers . -
I get its not a game breaking bug or anything but it is a bug none the less. Surely the fact that something like the loading screen but is so obvious and in theory is such a simple fix as likely just an image file in the wrong place it would have been fixed when the devs play tested their game…They do playtest their own game right?

Honestly not sure how to feel about it. on the one hand I used to use Lery's offering when playing wraith (silent bell and wall hack addon made it very fun for jumpscares) but outside of that i never used offerings unless i REALLY wanted to play a certain map. I do like the fact that i don't have to worry as much about going to a map which is inherently survivor sided like badham preschool 1 - 99 or Borgo but again if i did get those offerings i would just say sod it and focus tunnel someone just because of the map.
What should have happened is when this change happened have a way we can cash in our map offerings for a percentage of bloodpoints back as they are basicly useless now due to the gamble. We should also be able to turn them off on the bloodweb but this will never happen because its a way to dilute the bloodweb meaning everyone doesn't get stacked items/addons -
Whatever happens behaviour needs to give the conditions of what classes as go next or these is gonna cause more issues than it fixes

While they did say you could still ######### on hook faster in such a scenario, they didn't specify as to how: Are you able to miss skillchecks after a certain period of time to get auto-sacrificed?

My guess is that it's going to be checking missing skill checks, the anti-camp meter, statistic accumulation between Unhook and 2nd Hook, Trial duration, and Frequency of occurrence across multiple matches. But we'll see.
My issue with them checking missed skill checks is if the missed skill checks arn't going to end you on hook anymore whats the incentive to hit them. I would just tab out watch YouTube on my other monitor while waiting for the rescue at this point.

Even worse, you won't just get a DC penalty, you'll LOSE AN ENTIRE GRADE as punishment.
I may only have this opinion because i am a very casual player but does anyone actually care about losing a grade? Grades arn't visible to others, Unless your getting irry grade then the BP you get doesn't really matter as you could just play a handfull of games (or even the weekly gift) to get the same amount of BP.
Lets face it. Anyone who is actively going next a lot isn't getting a high grade and anyone who does get max grade every month isn't sitting their going next a ton. -
I'm really hoping they release what clasifies as "go next". The worry i have is like i said in my original post you can't really tell the difference between a hardcore tunnel and someone running to the killer to go next. If quickly dying causes the go next prevention to kick in causing a disconnect penalty it means that is killers wanted to they could hard core tunnel not only to get the survivor out of the game but also to effectively soft ban them from the game for a while.

It's pretty obvious that milestones reset every rift, they even have a timer that counts the days until they are reset just like the rest of the quests, so your math is off here, reaching max level is still definitely possible. But those are for players that play a lot, most players won't get close to maxing them unless they play pretty seriously, which is lame.
For me, my biggest gripe are the dailies. Why do you get a little under half a level and only 7500 BP for doing dailies? That's even less than the 30k you used to get, which was already not really even worth it. Aren't dailies supposed to be the best return for the least time possible, a big reward for just checking in? Dailies should be the quick and easy way that casuals can level their rift pass and get some BP without investing too much time, but the rewards are just bad. It should be at least 60k BP and 1 full level for doing all 3 dailies.
At the same time, if dailies become too important, then that's just FOMO that forces people to check in every day, and I'm so tired of games demanding this kind of followup nowadays. I'm sure they'll tweak and fix the quests so they'll be reasonable at some point though.
I mean yeah now we know that milestones reset then yeah full rift is doable every month including deep rift. Like you said though only the hardcore never touch grass/play this game for a living players will actually complete these every rift cycle.
For a casual gamer who hops on 2 - 3 times a week like myself where i used to be able to complete the rift thru casual play now I will have to be on every single day and even then i don't get max.
It also doesn't help that they are now forcing you (for the milestones at least) to play both sides. The rift should be completable regardless what side you play. As a mainly killer player i have maybe 1 or 2 survivor games per month if that but again now im forced to play more and more survivor which just isn't fun to me.@CrypticGirl said:
We also don't know how many rift fragments the rift quests in the future weeks will reward us with. They could (and should) offer more than the ones in the first week.
I highly doubt more will be given honestly. Behaviour has a long standing tradition of not giving much away so it seems unlikely they will give more rift fragments each week. In order to have the standard rift completed then they would need to up the amount of fragments by 10 each week for all 5 quests. this gets you to level 78 on the rift by my calculations.
Honestly this would be fine as it will allow casual players to complete the basic rift without having to dedicate a stupid amount of time to the game.

Unless im miss-reading isn't this how tombstone peice is meant to work? You kill, go back to tier 2, tier up again, rinse repeat?
Unless your saying your not losing enough of the stalk progress after a kill but that would be more feedback than a bug at that point would it not? -
I'll be honest I didn't see that part about milestones. If your theory is true with milestones resetting every rift then enough fragments can be made.
The issue is this forces players into playing a certain way. I did my dailies today and because I was dealt a bad map and very good survivors I resulted in throwing the game to get my dailies done and that's it. Having rift fragments being earnt based on your performance in that game would encourage better play and less throwing.

I see Chaos Shuffle has started and decide to hop on after a week break from DbD. And how do my first two games of the modifier go?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OFL853H4RLYM/image.png
Get matched against the same slugging Pinhead twice in a row. Like come on. Why are some of y'all SO determined to be as miserable as possible? And for those who'll come in and say they're just using it as a strategy or some other nonsense, no they aren't. Obviously I can't show it here, but their username was a taunt that made it 100% clear they're doing this to annoy everyone.
I'm so done playing survivor during events. Sick and tired of being treated as a prop to be pushed around by disgruntled killers.
But you are the plaything of the entity. We are here to ensure your played with. you are the prop. We will punish you as we see fit. We work for the Entity. We are not kind, We are not Friendly, We will not Meme…We will kill for the great and powerful Entity we shall call quasimodo (Because he puts all survivors in a hump)

Thrid edition for Chaos Shuffle and still the same. I faced against hard tunnel EVERY SINGLE MATCH AND u didnt nothing about this even after 2 editions every single player report this terrible style every match, congratulation. Nothing new, segregate MMR ( 2 modes online now), poor matches every single time. Another boring tome to play, ALWAYS we face it of the same challenges every event, and principal, why i should play this game mode if every single game u cant do anything? again. Congratulation to u BHVR for bring this event 3 times and still incentive the most toxic and boring play style ever. Looks like u want player base melt until the ground.
You faced against Hard Tunnel every single match? Can you prove this? Did you stream/record every game so that we can see this in action. No Proof of this then i say its not "EVERY SINGLE MATCH"
