I do not deny it. Because this game is the only crossover where I can play Myers, Freddy, Bubba, GF and now Pinhead like he's in a movie.

Since we have no other information we can make our own headcanons, for me the entity had it's eyes on the cenobites for a while but it couldn't take them since they were in hell most of the time and protected by leviathan, so it took one of the boxes from earth, modified and placed it on the realm for someone to open, Pinhead came and now he can't go back.
If it makes a lot of sense, enter the wolf's mouth, you have fallen into your own Pinhead trap, as Freddy and Pinhead are very powerful beings, the entity should catch them or force them to sacrifice for the entity.

Robin Buckley and Billy Hargrove... But it will never happen. Thanks Netflix for ruining my sleep.
-
To date I have no news of fps drops, which is good, but I hope they improve the optimization of the game for everyone as soon as possible, has not there been any news? It's ridiculous that no Dev answered this thread knowing that he is the greatest of all.
-
I would choose the power of Spirit because it would be entertaining for someone to look at me and out of nowhere disappear and appear on their backs.
Although my "real" power would be 100% stalking GF or Myers style.
-
Myers is fun to me when he played it. When I play survivor I have fun playing against a Hillbilly.

I'm with Scott Jund when he says that Pinhead is very much not in a good place right now- but the good thing is that he can very easily be improved to quickly be a skillful and solid B tier killer with a few good changes. Mostly to deal with the chains and making them the central focus of his kit but even the Puzzle Box I can see some clear ways with which to make that mechanic better.
- First off it's either one or the other: The chains need to either slow the survivors more significantly, or the chains themselves need to be more difficult to break. But either way there needs to be a greater reward for using his power and landing a chain because it actually isn't as easy to hit as you would think and missing the chain itself puts you so far behind in a chase as Pinhead. Because the survivor gains running distance during the time that you're throwing out the little portal, the time it takes for you to orient your own camera once you're "inside of it" and then the time it takes for the chain to reach out to it's maximum distance and be a confirmed miss.
- Without this greater reward Pinhead is really only subjecting himself to these great delays in mid chase, and you're really putting your own neck on the line for very little incentive. Too often is the slow not enough to stop a survivor from making another revolution around a loop and making it to a window or pallet, literally any environmental interaction breaks any and all chains completely and immediately (as in if you walk around a tree, rock, wall, anything- including if pinhead himself walks through the chain for some reason??) and survivors aren't punished at all after for this unless you're running add-ons that injure healthy survivors or deep wound injured survivors.
- The devs could also opt to create some kind of cancel mechanic mid chain attack, where if you've clearly missed you don't have to suffer the extra 10 or whatever meters the chain has left in it's trajectory, which only serves as precious extra seconds for a survivor to put distance between themselves and pinhead.
- To compromise for this, and to make survivor players more happy about the state of pinhead as a more balanced killer, I would be entirely willing to tone down the strength or annoyance level of chain hunt itself if his base power is made more powerful. This is just a standard balancing act, chain hunt shouldn't be what you're relying on for your downs but it is just a nice added effect if you can get it to happen during a trial. I don't think this is necessarily a necessary change, I think survivors have a pretty decent counterplay to his base summons of pain power and have ample opportunity to juke out the chains or hide behind some object to avoid them. I am simply including this in as a clause on the off-chance people are less willing to buff his base summons of pain power if Chain Hunt is kept in it's current state which seems to be the more powerful threatening part of his power since it operates as a passive hindrance in his chases that survivors are forced to be mindful of on top of normal chase strategies. Maybe the chains of chain hunt can be more easily broken than the Summons of Pain chains or something, or they don't slow you down as much who knows. Again I don't think it's necessary but I would put it there on the table just in case so Pinhead's power is at the very least allocated in the right areas. in the fun and interesting areas, and not in a dumb passive ultimate ability.
- As for the Puzzle Box though it shouldn't be the main reason people want to play Pinhead, I don't believe this part of his power should be neglected either and effort should be put in to make sure it can at least still carry it's own weight. As of right now I think it's far too easy for survivors to find the puzzle box and far too difficult for Pinhead to come across it. All survivors share the same progress bar to the chain hunt and very frequently I've seen matches where survivors will just constantly as soon as they get the opportunity to safely do the puzzle box without much threat of Pinhead teleporting to them they do it, and the progress bar never makes it even to like halfway.
- Instead the Puzzle Box should spawn as per normal but the aura of the Puzzle box is not highlighted to survivors until they've reached maybe 50% progress so the threat and likelihood of Chain Hunt happening might be slightly more present in your average match. Of course the survivors can equally come across the box by luck as well like Pinhead currently can- but this way it's not so easy for them to run across half the map, pick it up, and do it immediately.
- At the same time there should be a greater punishment for holding on to the Box for longer periods of time- literally draw pieces of paper out of the hat of status effects and anything would do. Whether you become exhausted, or incapacitated or something else doesn't matter, but as it stands the Oblivious thing and your average chain doesn't seem to be doing much. Perhaps a survivor physically cannot hold on to the Puzzle box for longer time periods. The Box itself could teleport out of the hands of the survivor after a certain time has elapsed, or Pinhead gets the prompt to teleport to said survivor holding the Box anyway regardless of the fact of whether they opened it or not- just because they held on to it. (Of course I guess they'd have to change the voice line for this interaction "You Opened the Box... I came" since a survivor wouldn't have opened the box).
- A very solid example of counterplay to Pinhead's Puzzle Box teleport (which I assume everyone will catch on sooner or later which is why I have no qualms about revealing this "secret" here on the forums) is to simply wait until he is occupied with another interaction, the most obvious: wait until he picks someone up and then solve it while he is carrying them to a hook. This I think is a debilitating counter as far as his Lament Configuration goes and is an overlooked aspect of Pinhead's power on the part of the developers- sort of like how they completely missed Lockers countered the twins during their PTB. With 12 hooks total the survivors can very easily never give pinhead the opportunity to teleport to any of them if they are patient enough to wait until someone is being carried to the hook. If all four survivors are knowledgeable enough, Pinhead will never be able to take advantage of the Puzzle Box teleport which makes this part of his power effectively useless seeing as he would never really have a solid opportunity to use it- it's as if it was never in his kit in the first place. The solution to this is quite simple however: increase the time window for Pinhead's teleport. In doing so you would give Pinhead the time to carry a survivor to a hook and still teleport to whoever opened the Puzzle Box immediately after. Don't increase the time to ridiculous lengths and give Pinhead enough time to make it all the way to the basement kind of time- but enough that he can still on average make it to the closest hook and still use the teleport in time immediately after the hook.
- Make the Puzzle box more difficult. This is both a balance thing, and a fun factor thing, it's no secret that the community (especially the long lasting community) are not impressed by interactions that are easily wrapped up by simple skillchecks. At this point in Dead By Daylight's history we're all looking for something of more weight and significance to sink our teeth into. Tru3ta1ent had a pretty decent suggestion and said to make the puzzle box skillchecks identical to the new yellow glyph skillchecks that appeared in the most recent tome. I would say make them a little easier than those skillchecks (you have to hit like 5 for the yellow glyph to be completed and I would reduce it for the puzzle box to maybe 3 instead) for the purposes of the puzzle box but either way it's a solid example of a fresh "challenge" without having to render something absolutely completely new like an actual legitimate puzzle. But this all falls under the same umbrella of just generally the puzzle box currently being too quick, simple, and easy for survivors to solve and finding different ways to make this mechanic have more depth and complexity to it would be welcome changes to this part of the power.
I'm not saying all of these changes should go through but these are some suggestions I've thought about or have heard from other people to make him a much better killer.
He has a very cool concept and foundation to his power and something everybody can appreciate- I think that's something that's actually more important than having a powerful ability straight out of the gate in fact: is to have a solid power with a good foundation. the only thing left is to match the strength to the uniqueness of the concept itself which combines a little bit of Nurse and Deathslinger, and a dash of Clown.
But as it stands without any proper significant changes he's going to be at or worse than the Clown, because the Clown has the same chase tool shtick- to slow down survivors, the only difference it's much more difficult to miss and he isn't penalized as harshly in his chases if he does miss compared to how Pinhead currently appears in the PTB. And being comparable to Clown whether that's just above, just below, or exactly where clown himself is in terms of strength, is just not a good place for any killer to be as far as the roster goes.
I like your ideas to improve Pinhead even more hopefully the devs improve it for their release, I have that thought that the killer is striking, his power is entertaining because in Hellraiser Pinhead his taste for torture is always the chains, he has an obsession With them, I don't know why here in Dead by Daylight I like its power too much, but it has potential, although I would not support that Pinhead was below Freddy.
Ash vs Pinhead
Ash vs Michael Myers
Ash vs Leatherface
Ash vs Freddy Krueger
Ash vs Ghostface
Ash vs Saw
-
Well it may still be possible because we have killers similar to him.
Freddy Krueger is a being and master of the world of nightmares but his power would be the minimum.
Pinhead is another being and the cenobite leader in Hell, serving Leviathan. His powers are much higher than Freddy's and Similar to Pennywise.
If they put Pennywise in, he would have to have a lore similar to Pinhead, who got there just because the cube is in the Realm Entity, but what I do not know is if Pinhead has the necessary power to get out of there with the Cube. With Pennywise even though he is an entity, he is an Eater of Worlds. and he may want to break into the Realm Entity without his permission or be willing to do the job on his own.

Just delete the chat.

Even if I don't vote, I feel like it's a Tier C killer, just because its main chain should have more slowing effect and a better spin, with pink addons I see it much better.
-
Nemesis may have its shortcomings in power, but it is a pallet wrecker and does not take its eyes off a survivor that is the good thing, but I still think that they should completely change the Tier 3 or add a "Tier 4" is exactly and ridiculously the same in Tier 2 and Tier 3 only that the difference is an additional meter of tentacle and faster when attacking? I think this is the same case as Myers, in Tier 3 it's ridiculous.
Nemesis and Michael need improvements with their respective tiers because they are not so lethal, one breaks pallets instantly and the other leaves you dying of a blow. The tentacle is ridiculous in Tier 3. It should at least remove one health status and infect at the same time, something that is different for Nemesis is what is needed.
Pinhead on the other hand, surprises me and at the same time leaves me puzzled by the power of it, it is cool to handle a chain that can serve as an attack and at the same time know the location of someone from the air. The only bad thing is its painful slowdown and the rotation speed of the chain, I think they need improvement and I have that strange thought that their pink addons should be a base kit, the chain should give an indication that a state of health will be removed the survivor as it happens with trickster's knives, he should be able to hurt the survivor with the chain and the rest of the chains slow down the survivor even more, I saw a slowdown comparison with Clown and Pinhead from a distance of 12 meters running in a straight line, Clown He can reach a survivor in a time of 10 seconds if he suffered a slowed survivor and Pinhead on the other hand only 14 seconds, with this test it should be enough to receive improvements from his chains.

I'm sorry but I don't think I totally understand what you mean at the end of this comment. Are you saying that you understand Pinhead's value but wish that the developers spent more time on lesser-known characters? I got that from your initial post but just wanted to know if I understood this response correctly.
No, I was referring to the problems that should be addressed, a dedication to the state of the game, the optimization problems on consoles is an example and should be priority before seeing an "icon" is popular or not. I also like Pinhead and Candyman, only that with the leaks everything pointed to Candyman but it fell suddenly with Pinhead being the new killer.

You get what you get man. I understand your disappointment in theory, but you have to accept that the devs can't just deliver everyone that everyone wants, when they want them. These things take time, money, and lots of negotiation.
Try to focus on the fact that this IS a legendary horror icon and that the game is becoming more and more complete in terms of being an all-time showcase of the genre, and that they didn't make a killer based on...I don't know, Dragon Ball or something.
If I also see that point and it is very important, it is also good to have Pinhead, it makes the survivors have to expose themselves to him trying to solve the cube to avoid the chains. In addition, everything requires your time. There are better things to see review than to see an icon.
-
I feel more uncomfortable because it is not the Candyman that I expected.
-
Part 6
-
Candyman deserved to be this chapter, I will keep protesting to see Candyman as soon as possible.
-
I hope she is the new survivor.
-
Without Candyman and even more so with what happened this day, Pinhead would not surprise me much, according to the game system, we would not win a killer, we would be replacing him.
-
Let's say Eleven and Hopper were able to find and rescue them, but unfortunately the Demogorgon also managed to escape.
-
Jonathan will be deleted in November, which I would like before they improve it visually because he seems to have a cut on his neck and also a new voice to remember. Maybe in 3 years if he does not return Stranger Things, few will see Jonathan and I will be one of them.

Yes I am.
"Hey like the Demogorgon? Come what our show on Netflix for a ten dollar a month subscription"
The flame for Stranger Things has died down and Bhvr thought "screw it, not enough income anymore"
I blame Netflix more than Behavior for this decision. Crap! I was hoping to see content from season 4 here too and it all went to crap.

Demo is not even a contender for being the most iconic killer in the game. Myers, Ghostface, Bubba, Freddy are way more iconic in the horror genre.
In my opinion yes, the collaboration was for the fame of the series in 2017-2019 but at the same time I think that this game is destined to icons of classic horror that we once saw. With Hellraiser it is returning to the classic Slasher genre, but this news and with all this time with the DLC, now it will be the characters of ST will be Legacy in DbD.

@GenJockeyNance said:
Am I the only one that is yes, concerned about the licensed characters futures as well but feel many people are being dramatic that this is the end of dbd? That's not meant to be condescending or anything, I just know dbd is doing well financially. Too well. I don't think it is the end at all. Just a heartbreaking end. You never know, if dbd ends for good, I'll eat my words but I think it'll be fine after the dust settles and everyone accepts it. :)
I'm really worried about what might happen to the licenses, I'm not sure if they all work the same, you have to renew them and if not, it will be removed, maybe the Nightmare on Elm Street license worries me even more.
But you can't deny what was always here, was Stranger Things.
-
@DwarvenTavern said:
Everyone is upset about this and some speculated the end of dbd....
But.... they do realize it's NETFLIX. Right??
Netflix is just an [BAD WORD] that's trying to bring its name out to it's services and decided to keep it's IP to itself now for just because reasons.
Netflix is not a good company, I knew this would happen eventually, I'm a little surprised no one else saw it too.
The whole chapter was just a marketing idea to them and when it stopped being as profitable, they opted to end the contract, this was probably a move they had set in the beginning as well
Are you implying that Netflix took advantage of Behaviour just for the proceeds of Stranger Things content?

I can not say goodbye to this map, I got my most recent followers here and also, it is the perfect map to play with GF and Jumpscare Myers, they can eliminate RCPD but Hawkins is not dead.

I'm pretty sure before the RE chapter was released we predicted those things were going to cause performance issues since they were so similar to the blighted cosmetics that cause performance issues already. They need to look into why things like that in cosmetics and maps kill performance.
I thought that there would be no problems with this chapter, much less did I think that RCPD would become a map due to how complicated it is to chase, I thought it would be Raccoon City in Ruins or Spencer Mansion, but RCPD is still a good map, only that its Performance and playability issues should be worked on and prioritized first, make it a little brighter and fix those pustules I mentioned.

I hope not because I like that stuff but if it means better performance I'll take it
The same is beautiful aesthetically, but at the same time the map is also dark in many corridors, the 2nd floor near the library is an example.
-
I discovered what is causing me poor performance on the RCPD map and it is that annoying orange pustule of deterioration, i demand they rework that map.
So far the performance has been good in most of my games, but that flickering and FPS drops in the blood network, in the files and when the game starts is annoying to see.

i think infectious fright is good on a huge ammount of killers 2
If also, also combine it with Knock Out, it is good to know who is in terror radius and also if someone is not, no one will see that survivor within a distance of 16 meters. It serves a lot to play with stealth killers so that they do not know where that survivor is, Also with the witch's blind perk it is fun to use.
-
The ones with the highest priority to level up would be Bubba, Hag and Plague, only for their perks, Bubba for Barbecue, Hag for Ruin and Plague for Corrupt Intervention.

It's a shame you didn't record how many games it took to get the adepts. For some reason I don't understand, I had a huge problem with Adept Nemesis. I think it took me about 10 attempts and that was straight after rank reset.
Also, you should attempt Adept Nurse while the SBMM is still on as it is very difficult if you aren't a good Nurse player.
That is bad, but since I have a good memory, I can say that the adept of Trapper, Legion, Nemesis, Wraith, Deathslinger, Huntress, Trickster, Doctor, Blight, Twins and PH, I got them on the first try, the rest required more games.
The Adept of Nurse may leave it to me for last, I still need to master it well.
-
@Dino7281 said:
Is it supposed to be like S tier easy and D tier hard?
I have done all killer adepts in red ranks and I really disagree with lot of those.
It is not from the easiest to the most difficult, in fact I put them in order from oldest to most recent, For example Freddy was my first adept for 1 year and I have no idea how I got it because I didn't even realize it, Myers he was the second, Trapper the third, Legion the fourth, Nemesis the fifth, and so on. Until reaching Pyramid-Head Adept, I achieved that achievement yesterday by taking advantage of the MMR.
-
It needs to be added yes or yes. So I can see the game even more complete.

Candyman as a legendary Nurse skin.

I understand your pain, I truly do. But, think of it like this: Candyman was teased around the same time Pinhead was, around 14 months ago and they have been in development since and that's just for Pinhead.
Can you imagine how crazy Candyman can truly be when they get released?
I longed to see a killer with lots of honey, bees and mirrors, mirrors where he says: "By my Victim"
But this, this was his best moment and now, everything is lost for Candyman... :,(

I’m not sure about the statement that the ‘community’ demands it so much. I don’t really care either way but I see some very strong ‘Fors’ and some very strong ‘against’. At this point if it is included, I think there is going to a be a backlash. If it is never included, there will be some very unhappy fans. The next chapter could be my pinhead dream chapter, I will just have to wait and see but if it isn’t, I will be sad and move on. I think some of the FNAF fans are going about it wrong.
Here we are all a community, it depends or not if you like FNAF or hate it.
-
It is the most likely, but since the community demands it so much, maybe it will arrive as an Anniversary for the next one, but hopefully it will be late because we have licenses like Candyman and Chucky available that should be before him.
-
Can you imagine that all this fuss between FNAF and Hellraiser was in vain and the next killer is original? I think there was war there.
-
For that it has the addons, to give maximum speed to the chainsaw.
-
I just waited with cravings for Leon and I didn't care who was the killer or not. But that was debated between Mr. X and Nemesis, but in the end Nemesis disappointed me with its Tier 2 and Tier 3. It is basically the same but faster and instead of 5 meters, 6 meters away ??? So I'm happy to have Leon but disappointed with the power of Nemesis.
