Ahh yes. I'm sure Sony released a statement saying "We have denied this patch because it's a laggy piece of #########".
So, assumptions being made, and then even more assumptions being made on past assumptions. Sounds like a solid plan.
Of course they didn’t say that, it was a joke. BHVR was the ones who confined they failed cert. about a year ago. Get off my ass, ass

Are you calling the creators of Daddy Trapper idiots?😮 Seriously I think the issues on Sony's end not Behaviours. You have to be in madness tier 3 to think they're keeping the update from you, are you in madness tier 3?
I think the problem was on bhvr’s end, but not on purpose or anything like this. It was probably the massive lag issues with the patch

Sony certification is much stricter. They probably sent it same time, but it failed PlayStations check once, maybe even twice at this rate. It’s happened twice before

Sony a bit, BHVR more, but both aren’t to blame that much. It was probably the infamous lag on this update that made it fail. That’s what happened last time Sony said no. The real menace is dat spaghetti code

Microsoft is known for basically staring at the patches for a week, then releasing. Sony has multiple times before rejected dead by daylights updates for being #########. It probably happened to this update ONCE, if not TWICE.

If I'm not mistaken, 10% of all skill checks are missed, across all ranks. The difference between new players and "pros" is not significant in terms of balance, since you're supposed to balance taking into consideration the "pros". Furthermore, SWF and solo have no bearing on skill checks.
Never said they do. Also, about 1% of players are rank 1 so....
You did. It was literally one of your arguments for why you said this change was dumb.
So skill checks all around need to be more noticeable. Both in difficulty and in impact on the game.I said the difference beftween solo and SWF is the core reason for all balance issues. Guess I was right in that one thread, you really are bad at reading.

It confuses me how to deal with toxic/cocky survivors. I feel like to counter them I have to go for them first and make sure they die on the hook asap. Is it right to target these survivors? I'm like well they're asking for it for getting up in the killers face. At the same time I feel bad for being mean to that one survivor I targetted. What do you think? Also, it’s almost always on purpose as they’re the best looper, and could run you around for a good while, then waste more time having you camp them. Only ever camp if it’s strategically the right thing to do, IE : exit gate powered, or if the entire team tries to hook rush, meaning zero people are on gens

I really don't see this as an issue, and it will make it harder for a survivor to sacrifice themselves for a teammate, because they won't be able to stop the killer from grabbing them off the hook.If the Killer is there, they can't stop it anyway. This won't stop Survivors from taking a hit for their teammate, if that's really their purpose.
Yeah they can, if a survivor goes for the unhook and then stops. The killer hits them and is locked in the swiping blood animation, that is when the survivor can go for the unhook and sacrifice themselves for a teammate.
How common is this, really? I've never seen it when I was on the hook, and I've never done it as a Killer either.
I can't say how common it is. I do it a lot though.
I'm sorry, but I don't think that's relevant enough to be a factor. Even so, that can create a stand-off situation, which is something the devs are trying to fix in regards to the hatch.
It happens during every face camp match for me. So a ton.

I mean, at the end of the day the type of player who's happy to stand there facecamping a survivor for ages, theyre not going to be detered by something like BBQ and chilli. But you can't make a perk that punishes all the killer players who don't camp.Going along with the OP, the moment a killer hooked someone with the perk at level 3 you'd have a burst of 150% extra to repair etc until the killer could move out of the 20 metre radius. If the average killer moves at about 4.6m/s then thats at least 4 seconds of 150% extra repair speed. And thats if the killer leaves in a straight line directly away from the hook. I'm assuming they mean a full 150% extra speed on top of the normal action speed. So all actions at 250% speed for 4-5 seconds.
It would also affect different killers different amounts. Where as it wouldn't affect Hillbilly and Nurse players as much as they can travel away and back much faster. Michael Myers or Huntress who move a bit slower are penalised more
Something straight forward like increased unhook speed if the killer is within a certain range would allow survivor's to counter camping better without the killers who don't camp being punished.
Increasing unhook speed is asking to be farmed or a complete snowball team wipe. His idea should just be weaker, and auto deactivate during chases

I would literally loop him around a gen my teammates were working on, intentionally, and he would run past them ignoring them. He ended up downing me because a teamate blocked a window and that same teamate farmed me twice on the hook (don’t blame them clown camped me hard) leading me to my death. After asking him why he tunneled me, he gave me multiple death threats and threw a couple racial slurs towards me even though I accepted defeat and told him the plain old gg. I played solo, had no flashlight, and never tebagged... I don't know why he tunneled.
Coldwind-Rancid rank 6
Is it my fault that the game was not fun for anyone? Or is the person not having a good day? Some people are just ass hats. Either way sounds like you out played the "clown" both the character and the player.
I outplayed the clown by being on PS4!

Why not just make a perk where if the killer is within facecamping range of a hook (call it 5-10 metres) then that survivor can be unhooked 150% faster? Or something like the pig's traps where if a killer is within 10 metres of a hook, the entity stops summoning? Something simple and straight forward.Never mind all this 150% to all actions rubbish. Why are suggestions always so out there and unbalanced when it comes to things like stopping camping or whatever.
.....so it actually stops camping? I mean, for such an ingrained tactic for most killers, it’d require an iron fist of F U to any form of camping to get it to stop. BBQ and chili didn’t do crap, even though they wanted it too, and people always defend it it because it “stops camping”. Only problem is that it doesn’t. At all

Hex : Thrill of the ass. Technically can’t be disabled because it’s a survivor perk, only pity will save the killer. It roots it’s power from hormones and hornyness, any killer who looks at a survivors ass with their center of screen will be locked in place the remainder of the match. Then shamed in the post game chat.

Eh not really. Biggest problem with the perk isn’t even being addressed. Just another cheap bandaid that hurts actually good perks and builds. Now sprint burst is the top dog EVEN MORE. As quirky as you are... you're very wrong.
Don't say things are "just a band aid"... just because everyone else says it. Sprint Burst is supposed to get you away from a killer. That's the point.
However.. running shouldn't allow you to regen that 40 second burst again... it's just bad. Now, people can't do that. It really balances out a strong perk, and at the very least will force people to shake up their 4-6 perk setup.
Vigil does need something done to it... I agree.
This nerf to all exhaustion perks is a good start. It might be too strong for tryhard survivors but we'll have to see.
I think they should just change sprint bursts cooldown to 100 or 120 seconds. AND have it require you to sprint, and then it’ll activate 3 seconds later. To prevent sprinting across the map freely, even if you press the sprint button for just a millisecond, it’ll still activate in 3 seconds.
