She's purty and has big boobs. That's usually all it takes I guess.
That combined with the fact that she turns into a giant monster and Id like to see more giant monsters in DBD, something along the lines of Demo but bigger and a bit more alien/monster-like.

Might be an unpopular opinion but Deep Wounds is generally fine the way it is and doesnt need to be buffed or nerfed in any way.
- Nerfing it too much will make it a useless effect. It acts as a time waster, it delays heals. It can still be lethal in some cases since it prevents Survivors from doing actions that take a long time (e.g. The Exit Gates).
- Buffing it too much will lead to Survivors being unfairly downed within a chase since it would be impossible to mend.
Keep it as it is.

So you're switching from Blight to Demo, or just gonna try Demo for awhile? I agree with most everything lol. Demo is one killer than I can say I've usually always enjoyed going against, even the sweaty ones.
Need some custom time? :D
Ive always been a Demo main, even back when I played on Console, which is why I was excited when Stranger Things came back since I could actually buy them on PC and wasnt forced to play on PS4 to play Demo.
Blight was my side-main after they messed with the Curve timing on Billy by changing it from 0.75 to 1 second; but with Blight being in a really janky state, I dont think Ill touch them for awhile until things settle down a bit.

Okay then here's my counter argument
Instead of asking for a bug to remain unfixed, petition behaviour to add it as a basekit feature.
The reason people aren't and won't do this is because it's unreasonable, you're asking for one of the strongest killers in the game to be buffed and it's obvious it won't happen but imo that's what you should be doing if you're that passionate about it
This is what my post implies. In fact, I mention games that remove the bug but add it as a feature.

I just play normally, if they die or live, it happens. Ideally you want them to lose so they lose MMR and get paired with other new players, but matchmaking isn’t perfect, so I tend to just play like I normally do.

my wishlist for this year anniversary
- day/afternoon/night map variations, i really miss the old coldwind farm darker version
- loading screens to obtain via store/rift/loguin reward
- offerings total rework: offering that make the maps darker/other visual changes to maps (this offering would be good for stealth killers on open maps) - complete rework of useless offerings
- new screen after the endgame just like dbd mobile has: showing the total progress on the match, time on generator, time on chase, survivors healed times, etc, more info and a new end game screen too (this hasnt been changed since when the game launched) - a background image with the entity would be really cool
- new gamemodes that the objetive is other than do generators, gamemodes should be about new stuff ignoring the main objetive of the main game
- new chase music for killers who still dont have it: bubba, pig, plague, wraith, trapper, freddy (the last chase music was for Nurse almost 2 years ago)
- Medusa visceral skin for PLAGUE for the Greek Collection and her mori is her turning survivors into a stone!
- New Resident Evil Collection Skins: Jill Battlesuit, Ada RE4 Remake outfit, Leon Re6 outfit, Wesker shirtless final boss fight re5, Classic Nemesis Skin
- fragments obtainable via rift
- bloodpoints increased for 80k, this would incetivize people to do more challenges and play with other killers, and a tab for survivors daily rituals too
send your wishlist for the 8th year dbd anniversary
~ Anniversary cosmetic for Demogorgon (kind of like what they did for Ghostface)… or just new cosmetics in general.
~ That's about it.

There is "playing the game," and there is "trying to be the only one having a good time."
Surely it doesn't take a 20-minute player satisfaction survey, which won't even reach the thousands of dissatisfied players who have abandoned the game, to identify the numerous design choices that have made this game an attractive choice for the black of heart.
I don't play Killer enough to encounter the "4-man sweat squads" that others bemoan—I really couldn't say how common they are since recent updates. But this sentiment extends to them as well.
The massive power swing provided by perks and add-ons does not do this game many favors.
I play a lot of DBD on both sides, I rarely have matches where all Survivors die at 5 Generators remaining; I think it's only happened twice to me within the past two months or so for me (1 as Killer, 1 as Survivor).
In general, 4Ks are not that common to begin with. Most of the time I get 3Ks as Killer or the Killer gets a 3K when I play Survivor since the final Survivor gets hatch or outplays them in an Exit Gate standoff. Yes, they could slug for the 4K, but not everyone does that, a lot of players just find it boring and would rather go next.

Were people saying this?
Honestly I did a killer tier list recently and more than half the killers were in A tier and it had me wondering if it's healthy for every killer to be so good when survivor is in such a weakened state rn.
I honestly think we're reaching the point for survivor that killer was at that prompted the 6.1 changes. I'm seeing the BP bonus stay at survivor later and later into the night lately which is absolutely wild to me.
Im sorry, but how do you make a Tier List and put half the Killers in A-Tier?
Not trying to be rude or anything, just I really don’t understand what basis you’d use to come to that conclusion.
For me, a lot of Killers are within B-Tier and C-Tier, obviously not the entire pool of Killers, but a majority are just “decent”, not bad, not amazing, just “decent”, which there is nothing wrong with that since Killers can be “decent” and still be viable given the right build.

Discussions like this don’t really add much in terms of constructive feedback towards the game, I think they only fuel “us vs them” arguments that lead the game nowhere.
I would actually recommend addressing problematic areas of the game and providing ideas and constructive criticism in regards to fixing said problematic areas, it overall pushes the game into a better direction and provides idea for BHVR to internally explore and test.

This is a Background Player issue tbh.
If you remove Flashbang from the picture, they will just swap to Flashlights or Pallet Stuns.
Background Player is, unfortunately, too good at doing its job. It provides too much speed, lasts way too long, and has an easy proc condition.
People used Sprint Burst before, since it was the only effective option, but it required good timing to use effectively for a save, and it’s speed and duration were balanced as well, it was fair since it took skill and positioning to get right… Background Player skips all of that and pretty much hands the Survivors a free save on a silver platter.
-
I believe that it is 10% by default, but can be further modified with other perks.
It is noteworthy that missed Skill Checks do not contribute to the 8-Regression Limit that Generators now have, so given the right build, it can absolutely punish the Survivors’ mistakes and/or bad RNG (e.g. getting a Skill Check when leaving a Generator).
-
Surge/Jolt is a good perk, but I would not go as far as saying it’s OP. I think Surge/Jolt is fair and balanced since it has a lot of restrictions for it’s effect, and it punishes Survivors a fair bit for making mistakes but isn’t “over the top” enough to be an issue.

You've got it backwards. It's not that strong perks are designed to be better on strong killers but that strong killers usually have the tools to synergise well with meta perks.
Take Pop and Nowhere To Hide for example. Both are often used in combination on exactly the gens that survivors work on. But to even get to that gen before it's finished you need to activate Pop quickly, so you need fast chases and reach the gen shortly after, which means you'll need mobility. Good case powers + good mobility usually is enough to make a killer good.
We had a time when weaker killers were able to use meta perks just as well as stronger killers but to be honest, that was miserable. CoB + OC worked but it wasn't a healthy combination, simply because it had no special conditions. If they were to bring back this combination now, you'd need to pair it with Nowhere To Hide and it would probably be horrible for solo queue players because they are mostly not coordinated enough to make the killer waste their regression events on all gens but pretty useless against a good SWF because they would simply bait out the 8 kicks and then push through with no trouble. Keep in mind, if you can get back on thag gen immediately, the regression is almost non existent.
So redesigning meta perks will not work. Instead we need to focus on the killers that struggle and change them accordingly. Killers need at least 1) a good chase power or 2) good mobility (often both because otherwise you need to compensate for the lack of one by doubling down on the other). Many killers have a few extra things in their kit but there is no way around these 2.
Honestly… yea. I agree with this.
Even in older DBD, Hex: Ruin (pre-rework) and Pop Goes could be insanely strong back then. Granted, it relied on RNG and a lot of luck to make sure Hex: Ruin was not cleansed, but against a majority of the playbase it would bring matches down to a crippling crawl for pretty much every single Killer, which eventually ended with Hex: Ruin getting a rework.
Perks that are generally designed to work well across all Killers get used to the point of being meta and/or get nerfed from being problematic (i.e. being unconditional and providing large amounts of regression).
-
The DBD Forums does not cover DBD Mobile, since DBD Mobile and managed and operated independently from BHVR.
-
People have already pointed out why Hex: Devour Hope is the way that it is, so to avoid being redundant, I’ll just leave you with this:
~ If finding the Hex Totem is an issue, I can recommend running Small Game to help; you can also bring a Map (item), with the "Track The Killer's Belongings" addon (which saves a perk slot and lets you track certain Killer powers).

No reason or anything?

(This got merged into another Thread, I spent so long typing this only for it to be buried into another Thread… thanks.)
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I think removing stuff like the "Hug Tech" is bad for the game.OTHER EXPLOITS WERE MADE MECHANICS…
In DBD, we've seen a long series of bugs and glitches become features, in fact, one of the easiest ones to point out was "Spinning," it was originally an exploit with the movement system that was going to be removed but was kept as a feature because the community loved it so much. It adds another layer of depth for Survivors that makes the game more interesting.
Overall, I feel as if removing stuff like this is overall a massive net negative for the game. The skill gap is reduced. The potential for both sides is limited. It makes the game less fun and dumbs it down.
OTHER GAMES INCORPORATE EXPLOITS AS MECHANICS AS WELL…
I come from many genres of games, I play a lot of variety. And with my experience in other games, I normally see it as a good idea to incorporate things that started as exploits but can turn into fun mechanics.
In Warframe, certain melee slide attacks would launch you far, and with the right button combinations, you could slide insanely fast; this was eventually removed, but Digital Extremes decided to add more movement mechanics in a similar light, where button combos make you move faster and reward skill, they kept the original idea alive but improved it by making it access to everyone regardless of their equipment.
In TF2, Rocket Jumping was based on a quirk with the Quake 2 engine, it gave various classes a new layer of depth and movement that lets players take advantage of their loadout to gain a tactical advantage. Furthermore, due to how it works, classes that do not have explosive weapons could benefit off of the enemies' weapons if they were skilled enough.
DBD COMP SCENE…
While the Comp Scene of DBD is vastly unpopular, this will have really awful affects for the Comp Scene of DBD.
Seeing how prominent Blight was, the Comp Scene relied on the Hug Tech to not only help with certain loops but it just outright made the Comp Scene more interest to watch and engage with. Bump Logic was, and is, still superior to Hug Tech'ing, but Hug Tech'ing benefited the Comp Scene but directing more eyes towards the high skill ceiling and fancy plays that both sides could make.
HUG TECH IS COUNTERABLE…
That being said, with the Comp Scene seeing a lot of people use the Hug Tech, a lot of counterplay has been developed for it. It's not like Hug Tech'ing is this uncounterable thing, it quite literally just creates more room for interesting plays from either side.
THIS EXTENDS BEYOND JUST THE HUG TECH…
Anytime we get a new "tech", are we just going to label it as an exploit and remove it?
Are we just going to dumb down the game for either side?
I fear that removing the Hug Tech is not good for the game as a whole, because it sets an awful idea going forwards, that skill expression must be removed merely because "it's not intended."
That instead of allowing room for more skill on either side, we must make the game as stale and boring as possible to cater to people who do not have the skill or might not understand the counterplay.
This isnt an issue that affects a single side.
-
If the Killer puts in work to down the Survivor, it denies the Survivor their perk. Likewise with H: NOED, if the Survivors take the time to cleanse Dull Totems, it denies the Killer their perk.
I think it is a fair exchange. H: NOED is the Yin to Adrenaline's Yang, both are equals and opposites. -
I mean, at least now you can stack a lot more anti-tunnel perks compared to before… not like anyone will use them anyways, since people stopped running perks that solve their issues like Unbreakable or DS a long time ago for some reason.

This is a public forum, not a private conversation.
You implied the speed boost is proper compensation, and I’m saying it’s not, because of the extra distance survivors can make since they might be getting hit twice by Victor.
OP was arguing that Twins had nothing, and proposed that they should add a Haste effect, even though the Developer Update mentioned Haste being added; OP even mentions misreading the Developer Update, which just happens sometimes, people make mistakes like that fairly often, including myself.
Also Reverse never mentioned it being "proper compensation," they were just saying that the Developer Update included Haste like OP was wanting. Their entire statement was direct towards OP, not towards you or anyone else.
-
The difference is how their powers fundamentally function.
- Twins was forced into a slugging playstyle bc of how their power works.
- Oni has the option to slug, but they fundamentally are not required to.

@BlightAbuser said:
Exactly what @Archol123 said. Bump logic was/is objectively stronger / more consistent with getting a hit. If they successfully fixed his collision, then bump logic will be even more reliable. Sad days, hug tech added so many layers of spice and fun to blight.
Kind of my line of thinking.
I never had issues with Hug Teching since it was normally easy to predict and counter; and I like it since it added a layer of depth to both sides.
Bump Logic is a more consistent, and by proxy, more boring way of getting hits. And basically forces the Blight to play each specific tileset the exact same way every single time, experimentation and new ways of playing is discouraged.
I really think playing against Blight after this is going to be miserable than before once people start picking up on Bump Logic more.

I mean people said the same thing about boons and look how that turned out.
Of course to people who don't care about winning probably think there are tons of usable perks.
Do you really think survivors have the luxury to run off-meta perks if they want to win?
It's not an overreaction, we've been down this road several times.
"Do you really think Survivors have the luxury to run off-meta perks if they want to win?"
Depends.
- SoloQ = Definitely no.
- SWF = Yes, since they can coordinate better to make use of off-meta things.
If you want to criticize a perk being weak, that's one thing, but I think your argument is better suited for talking about how BHVR is intentionally/unintentionally widening the gap between SoloQ and SWF with game changes, and in that regard, the new Adrenaline's design does not affect SWF but really is harmful to SoloQ.

I dont have anything to add to this honestly, I think this is the shortest and most concise way to respond to this post.
-
I think people are overblowing how "bad" Adrenaline is now.
Ill probably still consider bringing Adrenaline into my matches, granted, it wont be as good as before, it definitely got a massive nerf, but I still think it is decent enough to considered "useable", if not "viable" given certain situations.
Im honestly surprised they didnt attempt to nerf it more, given BHVR's history of trying to gut meta perks. I thought they would have removed the Exhaustion and Speed Boost effect but they decided to keep it, which is the main reason why I consider it "useable, if not viable," if they removed that part outright it would not be worth running at all given the rest of the changes.
-
Obviously there is a TOS that everyone must follow, but outside of that I dont think any player should be forced to follow an imaginary set of rules. If something was really "problematic", it should be addressed by the developers with sweeping core gameplay changes; other players should not shame or play "community vigilante" trying to enforce it, it should be the job of the developers.
This applies to both roles, not a single one.

Made For This only works while Injured. When you use FTP, you are considered Healthy, meaning you shouldnt get Endurance from MFT.
MFT + FTP was originally bug, and was not intended. Mandy explained this a few times when it got patched since a lot of people were confused about the interaction.

stbfl+rapid is good solution. forced hesitation beats the combo. it is just that most killer builds are game-delay perks, FTP+Buckle up is amazing combo for countering game-delay perks by game-delaying the killer downs. game-delay vs game-delay.
FTP transfers the Obsession to the user. They can bodyblock and I will lose stacks. This combo is not sufficient counterplay.

You dont NEED every character so quickly though. If you wish to play them, then buy them when you can, either with Iridescent Shards or with real money options. But to make it easy to be able to just buy everything with a pool of Iri shards that are given out like candy... why would anyone ever buy a chapter with real money again? At that point, BHVR would stop making money and they wouldn't be able to pay the developers nor server upkeep and that would end the game.
This response makes me think you did not read anything I put, not trying to be rude, of course, but I will address these points:
- BHVR has a Battlepass, Cosmetic Shop, Limited Time/Collaborative Cosmetics, and Licensed Content that they pull revenue from outside of Non-Licensed Characters, BHVR isnt going to magically evaporate if Non-Licensed Characters were made easier to obtain.
- Buying Chapters with money already grants exclusive cosmetics for doing it. For people who want to collect cosmetics or enjoy the cosmetics from the Chapter will buy it with money. BHVR can capitalize on this by making Chapter cosmetics focused more on quality instead of basic reskins.
- I never said Iridescent Shards should be "given out like candy," in fact, I specifically stated that character unlocks should be tied to a different currency since it will become easier for BHVR to moderate character prices without messing up their revenue from cosmetics.
- Dead by Daylight is not a free game, it costs 20 USD, yet it relies on a lot of the monetization practices that free games use. If the game was free, I wouldnt care about these practices, but it isnt.

I get this is just a rant about what you want from the event but keep a couple of things in mind.
You can't be "all for bringing whatever you want in a game" if you feel angry when people don't bring desired offerings during the event.
Yes it is a little entitled to feel angry at players who don't bring the offers you want. Players who don't aren't guilty of anything.
The key to all this is to realize that the event is not for blood point grinding, it can be used that way, but its not only about that. It's just a bonus event with some extra BP's. That's all.
One of the big things I dislike about events is players get so hung up on the extra BP bonus. This is often to the extent that they expect certain offerings and expect certain play (i.e. farming) simply because they brought said offerings.
The number of players who message after a game saying "I brought an offering you should have done this or that" Move onto the next game already.
I edited the post for a reason.
My original post did not articulate my thoughts correctly, and in a few areas I used the wrong terms which lead to my post seeming far more harsh than it was really intended to be.

You sound almost like the streamer that went ballistic because someone brought a green envelope instead of Bloody Party Streamers. Not quite, but you're close.
Sometimes people don't HAVE any Blood Party Streamers left. While they are green rarity, there are a LOT OF GREEN RARITY ITEMS in the game, so it makes every green rarity item rarer than an Iridescent item overall. When a Bloodpoint node is decided to have a Iridescent item, there is 2-3 possible things. But when a much more common rare node spawns, there is 30+ and increasingly more every time a new map is added items that can possibly spawn there.
BP Offerings are BP Offerings. It's not so much "dont bring this since it doesnt benefit me" but moreso "why arent you bringing something that at least benefits yourself during this event".
I even put a section that says "at the very least bring the Common and Uncommon Bloodpoint Offerings since while their benefits are small they can go a long way".
Pardon me if that was not articulated enough.

A Nurse's Calling is not a commonly used perk. I think Ive seen it once in the past year or so.

If Im near the Survivor, I normally try to heal them a bit so they can recover faster but they instantly assume Im trying to fully pick them up when Im not trying to (since SoloQ is as SoloQ does).

I don't see why we need to punish players for picking something you like though, just seems like a quality of life issue to me. Wouldn't affect anything other than it being nicer to use
I wasn’t opposing the idea of making it faster. I was just stating why BHVR probably designed it that way. QOL is almost always a good idea to add.
-
I hope, at the very least, we get an alien or beast Killer since I just want to see more creatures added to the game. I know we have Demogorgon and Xenomorph, but I’d love to see something original so I can have more cosmetics to toy around with.
-
Deliverance in EGC is fine imo. If they managed to not be downed the entire match and get an unhook, I think they deserve to be able to use their perk.
-
BC the Auto Bloodweb is not efficient at spending Bloodpoints.
Players can pick nodes specifically to have the Entity take large portions of the Bloodweb and save BP, but it's slower. Auto Bloodweb is faster but often wastes BP since it does not know how to do something like that.
-
Granted I haven’t escaped too much recently in my matches as Survivor lately, I don’t think it is as bad as you think.
Slugging isn’t toxic, nor is camping. They are things Killers can do that are coded into the game for a reason, for people to use to their advantage. Hell, they are even encouraged with certain perks (Territorial Imperative and Forced Hesitation). Idk why people get so upset by it when it’s been part of the game for years and will continue to be apart of the game.
And don’t get me wrong, I don’t like slugging or camping, I think it’s boring to effectively be forced to “sit in the timeout chair,” but it’s still not toxic.
Although BMing and post-game harassment I can understand as being toxic. Less so BMing since a Survivor or Killer tbagging wont hurt anyone (other than maybe their ego), post-game harassment is really toxic and should be take very seriously.
-
Survivors do get rewarded for playing skillfully.
The longer you last in chase, the more time your teammates have to repair Generators. If your teammates are not repairing Generators then your team, as a whole, is being punished by their massive mistake since they are not progressing the game, which is more so a matter of matchmaking being an issue than “rewarding Survivor skill”.
Likewise, doing Generators is not an inherently hard objective either. You sit in a single part of the map and hold a button, only to occasionally do Skill Checks. And you can still shortcut your objective with items/perks, e.g. toolboxes, which while you will sacrifice a lot of utility will absolutely breeze through your objective.
My only gripe with the game is that you lose out on other categories while being chased. I think the Survivor being chased needs to earn a portion of the Bloodpoints for Objectives and Altruism since they are buying time for the team.
-
I feel like most people are going to say Nurse, Skull Merchant, or Legion.
I would personally remove Chucky. I have a friend who has worse visual impairments than me and they literally just can’t see Chucky 95% of the time; also the Tiffany skin for Chucky on Ormand is just frustrating since you can barely see them and their footsteps due to the snow.
To put it bluntly, I rather play DBD, not Where’s Waldo trying to figure out where Chucky is.
