That perk combo has to go!! It's really making this game unfun right now. Survivor is miserable to play. Don't even get me started on tunneling and camping, lol. That needs to be made less viable. That's all I will say before I get myself banned.

If theres a three gen the survivors havent done their job right; they gave the killer a three gen. You've basically screwed yourself over and blamed anything but yourself. Pathetic.
You do know some killer's force a 3 gen by not leaving the area, right? It's not the fault of the survivors. This really shouldn't be a thing.

Why? I haven't got Leon to p100, but I'm getting closer. We have to prestige our characters once we hit 50.

I never said they weren’t busted. I personally do not use them. But there’s two sides to every story.
There are survivor perks that many consider just as busted.
Plus, we 4 out against this busted perk combo all the time. It can be strong, but if you’re good at looping to the point gens finish before you go down, eruption is useless.
I get that. Both sides have problematic stuff, but this thread is discussing the perks that the killer brought. Not DH or other survivor perks.

This, but they don’t wanna talk about it. 🤫
Why should anyone want to talk about it? This thread is about Eruption and other perks being stacked, not DH. Those perks are absolutely busted and you guys know it. Lol

I just play for fun. Ignore the toxic people and you'll feel better. I don't get why t-bagging and clicking upset people so much. Laugh and move on. Don't play sweaty if you don't want to.

The amount of tunnels and campings are killing my love for this game
This! Tunneling and camping happens in almost every game I play. I hate even thinking about uninstalling DBD, but I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to hate this game.

I play both survivor and killer and recently it dawned on me that I never DC as killer but I admit there are games where I do leave as survivor.
As with other examples, I find it hard to blame team mates (not advocating) when we get a sweaty Nurse slugging at 5 gens and they don't want to play against it. The same with the huge increase in unnecessary tunnelling off hook even with 5 gens still up, how can people be expected to just tolerate this without complaint?
I will be honest, I am currently on a 15 minute time out which is not something I like to admit but the games have been that horrible and I think I am just going to stop playing today as the vast majority of matches have not been enjoyable at all.
I don't understand people who play killer and tunnel someone out at 5 gens so they inevitably DC and then the match is pretty much ruined. How can this be fun and can you really consider it a win that you made the match so unpleasant for someone else they decided leaving and taking a penalty is preferable to having to tolerate you?
People don't really care about others. They just want to win. Sad but true

When survivors tunnel gens, killers tunnel the first survivor they hooked.
Do you even play survivor?????????????? This happens even if no survivors are on gens, lol. I even see killers doing this even though someone disconnected at the beginning of the game.
Edit- Tunneling someone out early is in almost every game I play (usually starting at 5 gens left). It's usually not because survivors tunnel gens (whatever that means). It's because the game becomes much easier when you get someone out early.

@RaccoonInATrenchCoat said:
If you had two out, with two to go, and kills ACTUALLY mattered to you for some ungodly reason, you could've dropped chase when the survivor clearly showed they were going to play like this, and find the other one possibly in a worse scenario.
Instead, you focused, probably didn't do many mindgames, just kicked every single one instantly, and then lost then came here to complain.
Yes, you'll lose some, sometime slowdown feels necessary, and it is, but there's no need for four.
I usually run just pop, or maybe pain res, and then three chase perks and normally end the game with 9 or 10 hooks, 2-3 kills.
Just accept you won't 4k everytime, realistically you should be 4king less then ~60% of the time, even if you're fairly good.
Well said.

I've had this happen before and my internet is pretty good.

I can tell you haven't played in higher mmr ranks. That's your post, as for the thread, it's about why gen slowdowns are necessary.
Feel invited to read the thread.
Didn't seem like he needed any slowdown perks. He just kept chasing the guy until the gens popped because he didn't protect them. lol
This thread is just a bad example.
-
So... you chased someone long enough for the other guy to finish 2 gens? Why didn't you just leave the guy?? What even is this thread???

You are acting as if this perk is single handedly breaking this game. It's not. Not even close. I haven't even encountered it in my last fifteen games.
Just because you haven't seen it in "your last 15 games" doesn't mean others are having the same experience. I'm seeing it in almost every game I play. I do believe it's busted and needs a change soon.

For this long? Dude, Dead Hard was left alone for YEARS. How long has it been since Eruption was buffed? July?
Your "this long" complaint is 5 months.
That is a long time to deal with that perk. DH has nothing to do with this, so I'm not even going to talk about that.

Killer runs an off meta build and plays nice.
Killer gets destroyed and called nasty names in postgame.
Killer goes back to meta and playing nasty.
I think it's mostly because these are strong perks and people want to win. I don't really blame people for using them. It's up to the devs to fix broken stuff.

If you think its exhausting to run every match into the same perks, then switching sides won´t solve your problem.
Just saying.
I find those 2 killer perks way more annoying than anything survivors bring. At least I do see variety in survivor perk builds. That's usually not the case in my survivor games. Killers will bring the same perks every game.

decided to just hang survivor up and go play more blight. This reoccurring build makes survivor intolerable. 😂
Agreed. I'm starting to play less survivor because of those perks. I just don't want to deal with that combo every game. It's exhausting.
-
I hate those perks... I'm seeing those 2 used in almost every game. Do something devs!!! 😂
-
Eruption is carrying killers at this point. I don't know why it's been allowed to stay in its current state for this long. It's busted and needs to be changed quickly. I'm seeing it in almost all of my games I've played today.

Yup.
It was 150x worse.
On some maps, you'd be literally unhookable. And people would run No Mither, allowing them to essentially take the game hostage, or force the killer to waste ages slug camping.
Eruption is annoying, but it has counterplay.
Eruption has counterplay when you're in SWF. Playing solo? You are screwed.
-
I can't wait!!! This is amazing!! Thank you ❤️
-
Give me your games, lol. Almost every game I'm facing killers that will camp and tunnel at 5 gens (they want the game to turn into a 3v1 as soon as possible). A lot of them are strong killers like Blight and Nurse using full meta perks as well. It's been a very unenjoyable experience for me when playing survivor.
With that out of the way I have gone against a few nice killers that just want to have a fun and chill game. Thank you to those killers!
-
I almost always give the last survivor hatch (unless I'm working on a challenge). I don't care all that much about kills.
I don't mind if the killer gives me hatch or gate, but I never expect it.

Yeah, I despise solo q now. It's pretty much a miserable experience and a waste of time.

Because they don't like the challenge. They would rather face weak solo players all day. Got to get that 4k every game.
-
Just ignore them. I don't care what anyone says in chat. Just play the game.

"pretty good spot".........
Yeah, that's crazy, lol. Most people that play solo know that it's not in a good spot.
-
Couldn't agree more. I only play solo when my friends are offline. It's gotten to the point where it's just unbearable in my opinion. Tunneling, camping and stacked slowdown perks are making this game miserable to play.
-
I say nerf anti gen builds and fix camping/tunneling. Game would be a lot better.

Gen-Rushing Perks? Potential Energy makes Gens take slower. And with the quality of the average Survivor, you will see Survivors who use this Perk, store their Gen-Progress and lose it right after that...
And while Quick Gambit increases the Genspeed if you are near Generators being repaired, it will always be more beneficial to just go where no Generators/only completed Generators are. The Perk is not really good.
This! The perk isn't that great. I stopped using it even on the PTB because a lot of the time I'd get hit after storing gen progress. It's just not worth it most of the time. Seems like you are complaining just to complain (the OP).

thing is those cosmetics should be his default and this should be an extra.
I don't really mind it. He's been in the entity's realm for a while and It's not surprising that he would change clothing (at least in my opinion). I'm ok with them giving him those clothing options as extras.

I'm not fond of him having a very modern look for someone who was born centuries ago. It seems like either DBD is too lazy to make him look like he's from his respective time period, or they're feeding into the ''attractive white guy'' thirst that this community unfortunately has.
Maybe they thought he'd be too goofy looking or something? I don't know.

Enjoyed reading through the comments. I get what some of you are saying but I still love his look (isn't this explained in his backstory?). I'm sure he'll get some outfits that will be closer to what some of you are wanting.

Was thinking this as well. Kinda funny tbh 😆

If I'm going against a LF, then I know I'm (or my teammates) are going to get face camped and possibly smacked on hook over and over. I can't remember the last time I went against a LF that didn't play that way.
-
@sulaiman said:
Well, to be fair, if i try to hook suicide its usually because i am going to lose anyway because of my teammates. when you have a game where you run the killer for 3 minutes, you go down, and see one survivor in the basement walking in circles and one hidding in a bush on the opposite side of the map, why would you want to keep playing at all?
You know you dont get any points or anything, because you won´t escape because 2 people are not playing.
You know the killer will at the end kill you, because he gets tiered of searching for the other ones.
So, if you slug me as killer, i just go afk. The problem is when the solo queue simply is a gamble all by itself to see if you get a decent team or not.
This. There are plenty of reasons that someone might want to leave a game. I'm not going to force someone to stay in a game that they aren't enjoying.

I'm telling you, it's not Nurse and Blight.
I see just as many DCs/AFKs/suicides when I play Ghostface or Nemesis.
Really? I play those killers as well and rarely see those things. Maybe it's your playstyle that people don't like?

People dcing against killers they don't like isn't a wake up call its a cop out that they are too scared to actually play the game they signed up to play
The DC’s were the worst it’s ever been in my games (even before the penalty was added). I don’t think it has anything to do with being too scared to play... I think it’s more about not having fun. Certain killers, add-ons and play styles can be too strong at times, especially for solo players.
Not to mention the stacking of gen slowdown perks on already strong killers. It’s busted and makes the game unfun. They need to take a look at why so many people leave games.

I haven’t seen this myself. Just people quitting against Nurse, Trickster, Legion and Blight. At least that I remember.
