Trust me, I am very aware of that. I used to main Wraith, before moving onto Demo and Wesker. I should have specified - While I was uncloaked. Fully out of invis. It was weird - Happened all game.
I’ve noticed it when I was playing Tiffany as well. It’s definitely bugged or something.
-
This doesn’t surprise me. I’ve been saying he’s not as strong as some people claim. He’s good in chase but weak in other areas. He is balanced imho.

I 100% agree. While his height gives him an advantage, it just means you have to pay more attention in game which adds a good scare factor. I really think he's the perfect balance of fun and lethal. And how can you get mad with those voicelines he has? I've thoroughly enjoyed my matches against the Chuck, win or lose.
Same and Tiffany is awesome as well!

Terrible survivor here, who just started playing again after a 2 month break. I really don't understand the complaints about Chucky. Slice and Dice is like any other charge up Killer power, align yourself correctly around tiles/prepare for it, and you can counter it. As for looping, he still has a red stain. You have to angle your camera lower to see it, but that's the only difference.
My main problem with him is bad teammates (of course), me getting mindgamed after multiple pallet fakes, and the fake footsteps mess me up more than actually facing him. Maybe I'm just happy to have him in DBD so I'm not frustrated, as I love his voicelines and the terror of playing against him, but he's not OP. Strong, yes. But you have to play against him long enough to learn his counters. I'm still learning, but able to put up a decent fight against him. If I can, most survivors can, cause I'm pretty terrible.
Well said. I’m not the best survivor player either and he has to work for a down, lol. I really don’t get the complaints about his height either. The only time I find him hard to see (not impossible) is in tall grass but that’s pretty much it.
-
@JudithMorel said:
he needs to be nerfed, i honestly feel like they are going too.
No, he doesn’t. You guys need to learn how to play against him. I’ve been playing a lot of Chucky and I’ve seen some very good survivors play against him just fine. He’s strong in chase but weak in other areas.
-
@EldritchElise87 said:
Its only been a day and im getting survivors that seem to have learned the distance you can turn with slice and dice enough to dodge it consistently, I am struggling to get hits on aware survivors when they are not animation locked, which idk if I just cant get used to the third person camera and hitbox, or learning how to mindgame around pallets properly with them, but I am not having the best of times tbh.
The slowed scamper fels like in nearly every loop in the game its a waste of your power, and you'd be better breaking the pallet, by the time I have scampered over the pallet the survivor is close enough to go around the loop again, so again the only value i really geting is the occasins where im right behind a god pallet, its dropped with my power off cooldown.
Which is not only situational, dont take much survivor brain power to just.. not do that which feels the same way with most loops, at 110% if survivors just dont drop pallets you feel like a short impotent lil bastard.
But im sure itll be nerfed regardless.
Yep, I’ve noticed that survivors are definitely getting better at playing against Chucky. Lol
-
@Hex_Ignored said:
I still think pallet scamper speed is too high. Unlike legion or wesker, Chucky doesn't have to go through an animation after scampering and can immediately m1 or slice&dice. This is further amplified by the running shoes add on.
I think the add on could be changed but I think scamper is actually ok.

If the Killer is Camping, you have time to cleanse 5 totems and do 5 generators. Even more so if you use Reassurance.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3597768#Comment_3597768
I cleanse them to avoid noed, while others don't cleanse and would rather complain about noed. Noed isn't the only perk you can avoid by cleansing them. if you feel its not worthwhile to cleanse against Noed, you are just objectively wrong. No away around it.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3597792#Comment_3597792
Then maybe you need to speed up your Gen progression, approach your playstyle scientifically and see what you can improve.
I play mostly solo. I do most of the gens, lol.
-
@Emeal said:
If you break all 5 totems before endgame, this cant happen.
I can tell you that in a lot of my games if we took the time to cleanse all 5 totems we’d die before the last gen is done. Especially if the killer is tunneling someone out early. NOED is mostly fine, but I would like the speed you gain from it removed.

well I got Tiffany for the pretty much $15 and I feel a little cheaped but I wanted her but still.
I got her for cheaper (didn’t know at the time), but I honestly wouldn’t have minded paying full price. They really did an amazing job on everything and I think they deserve the money. Obviously this is all just my opinion and how I feel.

@Vanishlord said:
It happens everytime a new killer comes out because no one understands the power yet and how to counter it. I have only played one match against him and he seems fine.
This!! I’ve been playing him since yesterday and people are actually starting to learn how to play against him. Or I’ve been put in higher mmr, lol. I’ve had people escape against me and I’ve escaped against Chucky myself. He is pretty balanced imo.
-
Definitely the most fun I’ve had playing this game and I started on console release day, lol. He feels very balanced and fun for both sides. I’m still shocked at how awesome this dlc is. Great work guys
-
I will be buying Chucky and Tiffany as soon as they are available. Haven’t been this excited for a killer in a very long time.
-
I get why you’re upset. Chucky’s power did feel very smooth when I played him on the PTB, but… was it really fair for the survivors? You could miss and then be back on the survivors ass in no time. I think this change is fair. You should be punished for missing.
-
AWESOME!! I’ve been wanting Chucky for so long! Can’t wait to play the PTB
-
I took a long break from this game but I came back because of the Halloween event and have only seen it like one time. I thought it would be a much more popular killer… what happened?

Uh game seems pretty fun, especially when they nerf MFT.
Nah all of these nerfs, and changes are clearly pushing people away. It's becoming very unfun
-
It's fine Imo but whatever. Let's just nerf every decent perk into the ground. This game is seriously becoming boring fast.
-
@Ariel_Starshine said:
I wouldn't miss her if she was gone.
A rework sounds promising a least, at least they are trying :)
She shouldn't have been released in the first place. Who in the heck thought her power was a good idea? Lol

To sum it up play sweaty (Camp, tunnel, gen-rush) will yield more sweaty opponents. Playing chill and go for hooks (like I do) and you have chill games.
Exactly! These people will sweat their asses off, then complain when the other side does the same exact thing. I've stopped trying to figure it out 😂
-
I'm back after taking a long break. Been playing the Texas Chainsaw game and creating content for that game. My opinion on this? GOOD! I can't count how many games this "tactic" ruined. Just wastes time for everyone! Neither side are playing as intended... I can't wrap my head around why people are against this. It's silly!
Edit: I'm not against bad killers getting buffed. That's a good thing!

Stop acting like if you step one foot closer than what's shown in the last pic that the survivor on the hook immediately unhooks themself, the exit gates magically open, they teleport to the gate, and their t-bagging sets your machine on fire.
Go patrol gens.
This, lol. I see no issues here. Killers should really go patrol gens instead of wanting to hang around...

So it was the killers who review bombed the game on Steam and filled the forums with complaints, right?
Both sides can be babies. These changes are needed though.

Do you have official statement saying it was scrapped?
The only thing I've seen is that it's currently not confirmed to come to the game but it's not scrapped either, the PTB test allowed them to get feedback to make tweaks. If slugging becomes an issue that will push BHVR to finish work on the basekit unbreakable/finisher mori. Kind of like how they originally said no to basekit anti-camping mechanic but now they're planning to release one thanks to increase in camping.
This! I believe basekit unbreakable will be put into the game if slugging becomes a big issue (like camping did). Killers are upset but they only have themselves to blame.

Well said, you two. I applaud our community for banding together and “taking turns” being martyrs, hanging on hooks as long as possible while teammates completed gens and escaped. This is what killed off basement bubba in 2022.
I’ll gladly sacrifice myself to benefit “strangers.” And why? Because so many players who came before me, did it for me and two other strangers. They’re the real MVP’s. Here’s a dropped Purple Toolbox at the exit gate for all my dead martyred homies: 🧰
That's great and all but no one should get mad if a player decides to leave instead of hanging on a hook and not being able to play the game.
-
He is busted. Not surprising.
-
You know what? I’m done with this game. My teammates are disconnecting almost every game.
I can’t even get to play a normal game. I’ve escaped like one game today and that was because killer gave me hatch after someone disconnected.

They literally rolled back on all of the issues people brought up and released only the best parts of the PTB. They have never listened to feedback and acted on it as well as they did this patch, and they get repaid by this backlash.
I don't know how they do it, I could never be a game dev, I'd want to shoot all my customers.
Calm down jeez. People are NOT HAPPY and are letting BHVR know. This is exactly what they should be doing. I'm sorry but this game is a mess right now.
-
People are just very unhappy with the game. I don't know why this bothers you so much.
-
Exactly. I've said this before. It doesn't really make sense to me.
-
@Trollinmon said:
Making it not a scourge hook would be a nerf to the perk honestly. The fact that you can avoid using the proc makes it have more value in my eyes.
The new PR is still a top tier perk like it was before but now it's mostly locked to players that want to spread hooks. Instead of using Agi+PR for 9 hooks you can just run new PR alone for 5 or 7.
There is less time needed to be wasted to get your procs since it's only 4 times and also less problems with hook rng since you only need 4 downs for the total value; unlike before where you really wanted Agi for the full value of the perk.
Yep, it's still a decent perk.

@blmpride5 said:
How is every comment in here talking about 3-4 gen regression perks, can you survivors read? What about bringing 1 single gen regression perk? If you want to bring 1 gen regression you would bring... what they all suck after the patch.
You can thank the killers for the nerfs to those gen perks. They were getting abused.
-
Unfortunately, these nerfs had to happen. The perks were getting abused and making games miserable.
-

And this is different then what I normally face how?
Was thinking the same thing, lmao. They are just looking for excuses. They say the same thing after every patch.
-
You can blame killers for the gen perks getting nerfed. We all know why the nerfs happened.
-
I don't agree with review bombing, but I can definitely see why it happened.

massive difference between "smart decisions" and "oh this guy has dedicated to the point where i can't avoid his flick" your argument is basically "i've put more time into it so I should automatically win if i've put more into it" in Formula 1 who normally wins the championship ? the guy with the best car regardless of how good he is as a driver .... it's not a coincidence ??
AGAIN . there is a reason he is a go to killer against top tournament players and it's not because he's a challenge to win with ... (once you've put the time in to learn the mechanics)
if you put as much time into wesker or nemesis etc for example you'd win more games than you'd lose but you wouldn't be anywhere near the win ratio as you are with blight .... what does that say ? you can be protective over it all you want because of the amount of time you try to show of but facts are facts the killer is hard to lose with once you learn the mechanics and that is not BALANCE.
Agreed. A killer shouldn't win almost every game they play simply because they play that character a lot. It's not balanced.
-
I think it will be a fair perk now. Killers like to hang around survivors that are on scourge hooks and abuse it. This is a pretty good change.
-
These changes will definitely hurt the game if they go live. I'm taking a break right now, but I will never return to the game after the update if things don't change (nerf to base healing).

I appreciate your response but these changes don’t say “bold” to me, they say extreme and overkill. You wanna nerf circle of healing? Cool. Why nerf it to the point that bringing it is a wasted perk slot? If you need a medkit or another survivor to heal you in COH regardless what’s the point of bringing the perk? For the few extra seconds off healing?
You wanna nerf overpowered medkits? Cool. Why nerf them to the point where it makes no sense to even have more than one kind of medkit if the nerf is meant to make sure that no medkit can heal you more than twice per match?
Why is basekit healing even being touched to begin with when you’re nerfing the most popular healing perk and healing items? How is neefing every form of healing all at once helping to balance anything?
Agreed! These changes are insane to me.
-
@I_CAME said:
I find it amusing that this is coming from a guy with a blight avatar.
Same. Lol
-
I think a lot of people will leave or switch sides if those horrid healing changes make it to live. Good luck finding games as killer as well.
Edit- Not to mention the amount of people that will DC after the update...
-
This isn't surprising. They nerfed healing so had to nerf the gen perks. I don't really care what they do anymore because I've already stopped playing. I was curious about these changes after I heard about them on discord (for a different game). Just stop playing if you are unhappy.
-
You can do whatever you want. Just don't be surprised if you get hate. I've taken a break for now because the game is a mess. Tunnel every game if you find that fun.
-
@TigerSnake said:
So you want every good regression perk to get nerfed and make every killer especially the weak ones suffer immensely? Hell to ######### no! Call of Brine and Overcharge are fine perks which are very much needed for other killers besides Skull Merchant to stand a chance. Take them away, and killer will be in a very abysmal state with no good perks period, for 3 gens or not.
Then the devs need to buff those killers. Gen perks shouldn't stack in my opinion.
-
@bm33 said:
I've played 6 matches - 4 Skull Merchant, 1 Deathslinger, and 1 Legion.
Really??? I've played 8 games and only one of them was SM.

Only thing im looking forward to are the eruption changes, map changes, and haddie rework. otherwise it's honestly the most boring chapter we have seen in a while. i feel zero excitement whatsoever.
Haddie rework?? Didn't know this was a thing. Are they updating her face? Her model looks horrible right now.
-
Not at all.
Edit- I am actually excited for the Eruption changes but that's it.
-
The update is tomorrow??? I haven't really been keeping up with the newest chapter. That's how much I dislike it.
-
You can tell by the posts on this thread that some people never play survivor, lol. Try playing both sides, then you can complain.
