  • Chucky is one of my mains and the nerf was needed. I didn’t scamper under pallets for free hits so this is actually a buff for me. Is Chucky the only killer that is guilty of getting free hits or forcing lose/lose scenarios? No. Other killers need changes as well. I agree with this change 100%

If you feel like you have to use those perks that sounds like a lack of creativity and imagination on your part

This… I main Trapper right now and I only use one slowdown perk (pop). I don’t understand why so many people say they need to stack 3 or 4. Maybe it’s a lack of skill? Idk.

  • Good changes imo and I play way more killer atm than survivor.

  • That crimson hue banner looks AWESOME!!

    Whats wrong with saying gg?

Its better to have a good sport than to have bad ones. DBD has enough horrible people playing already. Are we really starting to lash out at people who are nice now?

Nothing wrong with staying silent sometimes. I just don’t understand why killers will say “gg” or whatever knowing that the game was miserable for the other side (when teammates DC or give up on hook). As the killer I’ll just say “sorry your teammate(s) left” and move on. I see no reason to throw out a “GG”.

  • Yeah, I think it’s a bit silly to say “gg” in a game where someone disconnects or gives up. It’s clearly not a fun game for the remaining survivors in the trial. I usually say “ggs” or “gg wp” if everyone stays in the game regardless of the outcome… but saying it after survivors give up is just silly to me. It’s not something that bothers me too much, so I guess it’s whatever

  • completely forgot until I saw this post! Thanks

So the pay to win skin is no longer pay to win and that’s a bad thing why?

I definitely wouldn’t call it a pay to win skin. Equipping the skin didn’t give you an easy win. Maybe a slight advantage? I’m glad it’s fixed but let’s not exaggerate things.

  • Yeah, I experience the same thing. MMR doesn't seem to work very well. I started playing Huntress a few days ago because of the awesome Were-elk skin and I get mostly P100 TTV'S in my games. I've only played Huntress a few times since the game released on console.

    My Huntress isn't even a P1😫

Why is my question. Cant we have neat little exclusives that show how long we've been playing??

Imagine being a new player and seeing all those cool charms that you can no longer get. It would suck for those that are interested. I think the deep rift cosmetics are a cool addition that could stay exclusive. Charms and cosmetics (except deep rift) should be available to anyone that wants them. This is coming from someone that owns most rift charms.

  • I took a look in the store and the Naughty Bear skin is 1,485 auric cells. Huntress skin is 1,755 auric cells.

  • @Shirtless_Myers said:

As someone who has done all the rifts since the very first, I sincerely hope they add everything back into the game at some point. These are all digital cosmetics and shouldn't be withheld from newer players. There is already a struggle getting players into the game, and keeping charms and cosmetics locked away forever only exacerbates the problem.

This! I own a lot of the older charms and I’m glad they will most likely be bringing them back. They have been unavailable for years… it’s time to bring them back so newer players can get the cool charms as well!

  • The game is running great on my Series X. The only issue is rubber banding but I guess that’s a server problem.

  • @Royval said:

you’re stoked to play a nerfed killer?

I'm sure a lot of people are excited to play Blight after the changes. He is still going to be a strong killer, so I'm not sure why people shouldn't be excited. His power should be more consistent and that's a good thing. Hug tech was never intended and should have been fixed years ago.

  • @goodfriday said:

Wesker was never a problem compared to other killers. Spirit for example still op no counter play.

Agreed. I hate going against Spirit, Blight and Huntress. Nurse is crazy strong but it's rare to go against a good one. Wesker is fun to face imo.

  • It’s the worst map in the game imo. Love the look of it but the gen spawns are killing it for me! It’s awful…

  • SM and Chucky/Tiffany are my mains. I just find her extremely fun to play as and I love her cosmetics! I like that she can be stealthy and good at chasing survivors. I rarely get survivors that give up in my games though… I try not to camp, tunnel or 3 gen them from the start. Maybe that’s why?

  • @Yharwick said:

It just baffles me anyone thinks it's worth running, literally what happens is they do nothing for two minutes then you hear the noise for completion and then they go down 2 seconds later because the just gave themselves broken and told the killer where they are lmao.

I think people are just trying it out because it’s a new perk. The chapter just released yesterday. Thankfully I’ve only seen like 3 people using it and I played for hours yesterday. I think most people know it’s a ######### perk lol

  • @MalekithHatesSnow said:

I don't blame BHVR remember when everyone was pushing Haddie cosmetics for the sake of I don't even know inclusivity? or maybe they just wanted their demands to be met who knows what Twitter people want BHVR adds a bunch no one buys them I haven't seen more than 2 haddies without their default costumes cosmetics don't appear out of thin air you need dev resources and it takes time and money to do why waste that on something no one's gonna use?

Now why they keep adding SM cosmetics is a true mystery

I remember that. Creating these skins takes time and money. It’s pretty obvious why less played characters get fewer cosmetics than the more popular ones. Haddie is considered ugly by a lot of people and isn’t played much. Makes no sense to continue pushing out a lot of outfits for her.

New outfits didn’t even make a difference. You still don’t see her… or Gabriel. Sable is attractive and will definitely get A LOT of cosmetics (because of how popular she is). Just makes sense.

  • I decided to get him because he does look pretty cool but he is extremely boring to play. His power isn’t really fun.

  • I’ll probably buy Sable (and her cosmetics) but I’m not sure about the Unknown yet. I don’t really like his power.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

If this becomes the meta then I’m probably gonna take a break again

It will be and I won’t be playing either. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they are letting it go live.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Only thing he needs is a shorter power cooldown and automatically put him in cooldown after scampers/vaults. The scamper playstyle is braindead. Need to incentivize the skilled portion of the kit.

This. Those 2 changes would make him feel so much better.

  • @TheGriffinDore said:

The Good Guy is just straight up weak now. The power cooldown is way too long, the stealth is underwhelming, and when you do actually get to use his power, the skill expression and hit potential has been neutered. The amount of times I've hit nothing but oxygen and it counts as collision with an object 40ft away is ridiculous. He needs changes.

biggest issue right now imo is the cooldown. It’s insanely long. It needs to be shorter.

There is nothing wrong with being good at a character in the game. But it's different when the character is not hard to control to be considered "good". My point is, that his kit allows him to forgive many mistakes he makes allong the chase and still catch up. In case of chucky it's not that hard. You need a lot more practice to be considered good with the blight or the nurse. Strong killers indeed but useless in the hands of somebody who can't control their powers. Monstrous in the hands of those who can. Chucky however bypasses that. You can mess up a lot and still get the hit because of his advantages. That is my point

Getting a hit won’t win you the game. And he’s punished a lot for making a mistake. He is a 110 movement speed killer with a long cooldown on his power… too long imo.

  • @Atom7k said:

Kinda just a vent but for real. I dont want to buy an expensive headset and crank up the volume to max just to play this game.

I just got grabbed from a generator. We were three people and none of us saw or heard him comming ( no it was not tinkerer the match had just started and the gen was at 15 %).

Thats just unacceptable. His laugh is barely audible even with headset and without youre just done for. God damn it I'm so over this garbage killer

I play with no headphones and can hear him and Tiffany clearly before I see them. You have encountered a bug or have trouble hearing.

  • @OrangeBear said:

Gonna be honest, chucky is starting to feel weak.

His stealth is unreliable because hidey ho duration is so short. This is making me feel like the need to run the iridescent amulet and also run an additional stealth perk to make up it.

People are getting good at avoiding slice and dice. Pretty much never getting scamper chain hits anymore. Btw i was NOT doing 180s. I don't want to throw my mouse across the room.

Scamper under pallet rarely feels useful, and this makes me feel the need to run hard hat.

I hope that he becomes 4.5m/s or 4.6m/s OR his terror radius gets reduced to 24m, and/or hidey ho mode duration gets increased.

I'm not sure how i would change scamper because it's a volatile ability. I just find it a bit underwhelming. I do find it useful to scamper through windows though but most pallet loops it seems like survivor can still go through. I tried athletic shoes and it didn't really help unfortunately.

I completely agree. Chucky definitely isn’t a bad killer but he’s nowhere as strong as he was at launch because people are figuring out how to counter him. I think he could use some buffs as well. Maybe buff his movement speed and nerf slice and dice slightly? Idk.

edit- Or maybe a shorter cooldown on his ability because it is insanely long. He can’t really patrol gens that well either because of how slow he is. This is why so many Chucky players camp and tunnel. I try playing fair and it’s almost always a loss against good players.

  • @Atsuka_Anarchy said:

Poor Haddie, why did they do this to you? :( ....When will you people ever learn?? She's a human beeng, ya'll disguts me. #PlayMoreHaddie #HaddieDaBaddie

She is just too ugly to look at… and her cosmetics aren’t the best either.

  • He probably just needs a break. The devs don’t always make the best decisions, but I do believe that they care about this game. Just look at how much it has improved over the years. I wish we could get some changes faster but it is what it is. I still love this game and can’t stop playing since Chucky was added.

  • I’ve been playing mostly survivor today and my teammates do seem better than normal. They are actually doing gens instead of being allergic to them, lol. Don’t know what’s going on, but I ain’t complaining. 😆

  • He seems fine to me. Played him a few times today. That was a fix for something that was obviously not intended.

  • @UnusedAccount said:

Would being a 110 really change much of a difference for him?

Wouldn’t be a massive change but would definitely help. There really is no reason why he shouldn’t be 4.4.

  • I tried using hex perks and they usually get destroyed 20 seconds after the game starts. Not really worth it.

  • Why isn’t he 4.4? He probably should be tbh.

  • @Pulsar said:

    Because it's effective

This. I usually try to play in a “fair” way but it usually just ends up in a loss. Most killer’s just can’t get 12 hooks. This is why tunneling and camping are so common. It sucks but it is what it is.

  • Chucky is good in chase but lacks in other areas. He is not OP at all. He will get destroyed by good survivors and will do great against bad survivors. I usually just get gen rushed while playing him against decent survivors.

  • @brokedownpalace said:

People like to say they just really love her kit, she's fun to play. I don't believe it. You enjoy playing her because you know survivors hate playing against her.

I recently took a few months break and came back after Chucky was announced. I decided to purchase Skull Merchant (heard she got a rework) while I was waiting on Chucky to release, and I actually enjoyed playing her. She has become one of my favorite killers at the moment. She does have some issues that need to be addressed though.

  • @Quizzy said:

Sad part is, so far, every banner and badge till new year will be either fomo or must be purchased. And Im assuming the badges and banner will be in the next rift but in premium pass. So that will be 1000 AC to get most likely and grinding.

I don’t get the issue here. It’s not something that affects the game in any way. You can purchase the dlc to get the banner and badge or don’t. Its really that simple.

  • It’s pretty obvious that most of the people that say he is super OP don’t play as him. He is a good killer but definitely has weaknesses.

It absolutely is and Chucky's perk makes it worse because it exposes you.

    No, it isn’t.

  • @bazarama said:

Are survivors never happy unless it's a perkless trapper?

    I'm fed up seeing Blight.

    I'm fed up seeing Nurse

    I'm fed up seeing Wesker.

    I'm fed up seeing Spirit.

Get over yourself and play something else if you're not happy.

He's new and people paid good money for him and are entitled to play him just like you can pick the survivor of your choice.

This is true. Or just switch over to killer and play with whoever you want.

  • @HugTechLover said:

Strong in low mmr, struggles against competent survivor.

Cooldown for power doesn’t feel great. Just a slow m1 killer outside of dash.

Overall very fun and the voice lines are phenomenal.

Perfectly said. He is great against not so good survivors but will definitely struggle against very good ones.

  • @jimske83 said:

I don't know about you guys but i'm absolutely slaying with chucky. i'm completely destroying survivor group like i've never done before with any killer. he's super strong and fun to play. i feel bad for the survivors sometimes and give them the hatch. complete dominance. love it! He's a noob stomper too.

I was too at first… my mmr must have adjusted and it’s pretty difficult to win now, lol. Been playing him since release.

  • @Unequalmitten86 said:

At this point he has been out a week. The way people have been playing him and found ways to expose survivors for the ENTIRE game or stay silent. I will DC when I see Chucky and gladly take the penalty. I will not invest another dime until he gets reworked. There are plenty of other games. It's just tunnel, exposed, slash and dash, camp at hook at 4 gens. He needs a tear down like that girl from high-school you haven't seen until your 10 year reunion.

The thing is… camping and tunneling is an issue with the game that needs to be addressed. It’s not just a Chucky issue. I had a few Blights and Weskers do this yesterday.

  • @Lemonwolf said:

    Chucky is mediocre at best.

But it won't matter. Too many survivor mains complained already, so he will be nerfed, making him completely unviable like many killers before.

The things posted in this thread. Claim of Chucky being better than Blight. It is beyond ridiculous.

People complaining about the scamper ability......really? Just w shift away, he is is only a 110% movement speed killer. Looping with him takes like forever because he's so slow. You can still hear him while in stealth mode because he has a tendency to cackle.

Using S&D is very tricky. The video posted is invalid evidence. We are talking about him being played as he should be, not while using xyz exploit or whatever. I certainly don't play him like that, i don't even want to know how these exploits work because...well they are exploits!

People claiming he can traverse half across the map using his ability once....Really? In what universe? Certainly not this one.

His S&D hitbox is terrible. Often enough i ran into survivors and nothing happened!

Survivors who know what they are doing, especially SWFs will use you as a toy, literally.

I mean seriously. People complaining about his stealth being too OP, him allegedly being too fast, even though he has 110% movement speed and a 32m terror radius!! What is wrong with you? Ever played against wraith? Wraith is better in many aspects.

Most of this feedback thread is nothing but a farce. People coming in claiming the game is balanced towards killers and that soon there wont be survivors left willing to play the game....right...that's a good one.

Survivors complaining how "unfair" his undetectable is and he's "not fun" to play against. The Hex is unfun and unfair (in my matches the hex goes poof before it has any value, just saying) All his perks are so unfair.....we demand a killer to entertain us, we demand escapes. Whine, whine, whine...... And most of the whiney posts even get votes.

Sadly, BHVR listens to these whiney posts. Chucky will be nerfed for sure because of the excessive whining. That i am 100% sure of.

Yeah, no way he is as strong as blight, lol. I feel like a lot of people that say that and other ridiculous stuff you pointed out don’t play as him and it’s obvious. I don’t mind a little nerf to scamper, but I hope they don’t nerf him too much. Exploits need fixing too.

  • @Disco said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/398263/the-good-guy-feedback

My main issue with him is that he's just way too small so getting "mind gamed" by him at loops feels like #########. Like congrats you got that hit on me you really outplayed me there... if you were playing any other killer I'd be able to see you and you wouldn't get that hit. I think if he just had his scamper and the ability to go undetectable he'd be strong enough but the fact he can charge after you for a free hit basically after sneaking up on you to get his first free hit just feels realllllyyy ######### to go down to.

You have to be joking… He would be garbage without his dash ability. I’ve been playing him since release and I’ve gotten to a higher mmr and the survivors definitely give me a beating sometimes, lol. He can be countered most of the time.

The only issue he might have is being able to scamper under a pallet and then dash towards survivors. I think it might be fair to cancel his power once he goes under the pallet. I think he would be perfectly balanced with that change.

  • I guess that’s true. was fun while it lasted! Lol

  • @KhrisCo said:

It's to the point now that I don't want to play if I'm getting a Chucky. I will either just die on hook or just stand there and give up and let me get hooked. I am not enjoying playing against him at all.

Chucky isn’t that OP, lol. This is why people demand nerfs. You guys simply don’t want to learn how to play against him. I’ve been playing him since release and I can tell you a lot of the survivors I’m facing have gotten a lot better at dodging and I’ve been losing a lot more. You’ll get better if you don’t act like a child and give up.
