Damn that looks like a damn quick 180, kinda. (Even with 3 hours in between)
Nah, I've never said it's ok to DC. I just get why some people do it, but I still get annoyed (especially if it's multiple games in a row). lol
-
Now I’m getting annoyed. I just had 2 games where someone disconnected near the start of the game... one was a teammate that didn’t like the killer and the second was a Huntress. Both happened back to back.
-
Haddie. She is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen.

So did you read... Any of the comments in this thread? Or on others? Which explains perfectly clearly several times why people are upset?
Yeah, I still don't get it. Either buy them or don't.
-
Not surprising. The game is an unbalanced mess.
-
Does she need nerfs? Yes, 100%. Will she get those nerfs?? Maybe, maybe not. I think they are scared to nerf her if I’m being honest.
-
Don't really get why people are upset. Buy the cosmetics if you want them or don't. No one is forcing you to do anything.
-
@Audiophile said:
As expected… all replies basically saying “I’m allowed to do it and don’t want to waste my time”. No one admits its not sportsmanlike. No one cares about the other 3 players who get screwed. Just selfish people who won’t take responsibility…
And you don’t have to stand around while people do gens… you can down them, hook them, kick gens, do whatever… just don’t slaughter them before they have a chance to do anything.
I think I’m done with this forum for awhile…
Do I think killers do it because they want "in a real game as soon as possible"? No. Most killers try to turn the game into a 1 vs 3 from the very start of the game most of the time (tunneling/camping). They enjoy easier games. I don't blame them for continuing to play the game though. Farming is just boring. I'd rather join a different game.
-
Yep, it's unbalanced. Solo Q is a mess right now.
-
No, not really. Just played some games as survivor and guess what happened? I was camped (and tunneled) in both of them close to the start of the game. This isn't fun. It's not a mystery why so many survivors leave games.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
Everyone who understands how the game works knows how unbalanced Camping and Tunneling is in it's current iteration.
Yep! The devs really need to do something because it's gotten out of control and was made stronger with the killer buffs. I can't believe people defend this stuff.

In that sentence, I was... quite contextually obviously talking about online gaming in general? It's spread across online platforms as they realize just how profitable it is to arbitrarily release stuff and retire it immediately. Ergo BHVR's becoming the latest in a long line of companies to adopt this business model? That is the entire thing people are protesting; they don't want to see it here. I don't know how you could have misunderstood that, because DBD hasn't even been around for a decade.
I don't see what in-game currency has to do with anything when the skins in a FOMO model are currency only? It's the equivalent of those skins that used to be only available with cells, which they recently changed in preparation for the new FOMO system. Except BHVR can get more people to buy them if they threaten to take them away in a few weeks. Which is what I was just explaining.
And yes, these upcoming skins will be currency-only because DBD's new model is that a skin is cells-only for the first month and then can be bought with shards after. The limited-time skins will disappear before they're ever available with shards.
If you don't want to listen to how this works and why they're doing it, or you believe that it's somehow ineffective, that's your own problem. I was extremely clear.

That wasn't what they said in the surveys.
I guess I missed that. What was said?
-
I don't get why people are upset. I don't see a problem here. I think the outfits will return again next year anyways.
-
I don't get the hate, but I'm thinking the outfits will come back again next year.

I have, obviously not as much as when they're losing. But it'll be something like 2 gens left, killer has 3 hooks, survivor gets their first hook and immediately kills themself 🤷♂️
Maybe they had to take care of something (irl) or getting trolled by teammates/killer? I don't really know why anyone would leave if they were winning.

It is still on Survivor for me. I am almost never seeing on killer.
Same here! Opened the game hoping the BP bonus was for killer, but nope. I've been wanting to play killer, but I just don't want to wait when I can get instant survivor games with decent BP gains (if the killer doesn't play like his life depends on it, lmao). The bonus is almost always on the survivor side for me.
-
Uh, no. Unless you play with friends, then I think it's fun. Solo is just a miserable experience right now. Don't touch it, lol.
-
It can be a pretty terrible experience, especially playing solo. I started playing with friends and it's been much better. Still kind of annoying if you get camping/tunneling killers though...

The person the comment was meant for understood it well enough, I don't know why you require an explanation.
Valid reasons for ending the game early can take the DC penalty. This too was already brought up in this thread.
Please explain.

That just reads like immature brats who weren't raised right.
With extra steps and justifications.
"That just reads like immature brats who weren't raised right."- What does this even mean? lol
Some people definitely have good reasons why they want to leave a game early. Some were even brought up in this thread.
-
Welcome to the PTB :) I rarely test anything out for the reasons you mentioned. Not worth my time.
-
Unfortunately, more and more people are playing SWF because solo is getting to the point that it's almost unplayable. Can't blame them... I play a lot of SWF games myself now (only Played solo before the buff to killers). You have to play sweaty most of the time if you want to win as survivor. Blame the devs.

How exactly are Twins going to handle people with a 22s self res on a large map? They'll literally be up before you can reach them.
I'm talking about the 45 seconds. It's fine. The devs can nerf the perks that affect the time it takes to recover for all I care. I'm just glad this became base kit. Good changes.

Yeah, it sucks. Just hoping they get the hackers under control.

Same here! I hate Huntress so much. I wish they would remove her from the game. 😒

@Sluzzy said:
Survivors have actually been crapped on for 6 years.
This is more like a QOL change more than anything. I don't think the devs ever intended on killers to slug everyone on the ground all the time, it also removes the chance for someone to get the hatch which the killer shouldn't straight up deny because he wanted to. It is not fun to be incapacitated on the floor.
Killers are still very OP so winning a majority of matches will still happen, you just have to actually hook people like you should have been doing all along.
This. Killers are still going to win most of their games. This change just makes it a little less miserable to play survivor and will affect those that slug often the most (which is a good thing). Everyone is just overreacting.
-
@RoastedGarlic said:
the killers tears are sweet and delicious. You guys brought this update upon yourselves.
This! No one else is to blame. It's a good change.

This is a VERY healthy change for the game.
-
Killers overreacting as usual. It's fine

@Tsulan said:
Remember when killers said, that removing the BBQ incentive would increase camping and survivors went on like "lul, killers can´t camp any more than they do now!"?
Yeah about that...
It's not because of BBQ, lol. Those strategies were made even stronger because of the survivor nerfs and killer buffs. Killers are gonna play scummy until it's no longer rewarded as much as it currently is. They need to punish those things a lot more.
-
@Sumnox said:
Who fell for that anyway?
Not me. I've had discussions with people here on the forum wayyy before the huge buff to killers (disagreeing with them). I really don't know why anyone would believe that killers would magically camp/tunnel less simply because of some buffs. It's not gonna happen.
The only way to make killers do it less is to make it more punishing. Those tactics shouldn't be as rewarding as they currently are.

I'm more ok with it when I have a choice with it i.e. toss Victor or hold him. But it's crazy when it's an effect caused by another teammate going down after a killer kicked a gen that I happen to be currently working on. You get put in timeout for 25 seconds because you were on a gen.
This. I really hope they take a look at that perk. I'm not expecting much though.

Imagine having an argument so weak and so lazy you have to redirect someone to a different post you made and put the onus of finding it on them.
Not hard to find, lol. Weak and lazy? No. It's short and to the point. I want to dodge people that are most likely new to the game. Why should I play with new players that aren't gonna touch a gen and leave me to die on first hook? Same on the killer side. Why should I go against new players as killer and make their game miserable? This is a good thing.
Edit- Again, not all non-prestige characters are new players but a lot of them are. I'm not dealing with that.

I'm playing against objectively good people as Killer and I seem to be doing fine.
Some games I win, some I lose but I don't think I've had a single game where I've gotten less than 7 hooks in a long time.
This notion that even a "decent" team can bully any Killer is just flat-out wrong.
Hell, I know I played against a 4-man team whose newest member had 7K hours the other week with Wesker AND they took me to Coldwind AND I still won with 10 hooks.
You must be getting only comp teams because I'm having zero difficulty in almost all of my matches.
Every killer here must go against god SWF teams every game… At least that’s what you would think if you read the posts on this forum, lol.
Definitely not skill issues. We need to nerf survivors more.
-
@Rovend said:
I can't wrap my head around the idea of the devs being happy that one side has less chance of winning than the other, while at the same time saying that this was the state intended all along.
What did they expect it would happen? Survs cheering that they are dying more often?
They pride on increased killer rates while at the same time bribing survs with an almost permanent 100% bp boost to try to keep queues lines decent
It's a little weird, but I'm enjoying those sweet bp's and survivor queues. I started playing mostly SWF again and I'm having a lot more fun! Solo still needs buffs though. The game is very unfair and unfun for them.

Case in point. Low Prestige does not mean baby Survivor. This mentality is why Prestige should not be shown in lobby.
It absolutely should be. Does that mean they are a baby survivor? No, but I'd say that's the case more often than not. This is why I dodge those people to begin with (from experience).
-
No, I like being able to dodge baby survivors when I'm playing survivor/killer. I shouldn't be getting put with them anyways.
-
I love that outfit! Unfortunately, I can't force myself to part with Leon and this awesome outfit... 😆

its really not that bad. The only reason solo q fails is bad players. Maybe you’re one yourself? People are so dramatic about solo q. Lmao
It really is that bad. Why do you think it's complained about constantly?? I see complaints about it on Reddit, Steam, here, etc. It's a big issue right now. We need to give solo players more info in a match. Will it solve everything? Nope... it's a start though!

And I shouldn't be running gen slowdown & repair detection perks 24/7 in all my matches, but here we are both.
You don't Really need to as killer... at least in most games. Tunneling/camping are VERY common tactics and can really suck the fun out of playing this game, especially with how common it is. I don't feel like I always need to bring gen perks as killer, but I feel like I do Need to bring stuff to help with these terrible killer tactics.

As would be the proper strat for Nemi in this situation. If you got two survivors on two close hooks, I don't see why you'd leave lol
Theres no such thing as a "safe unhook" in this situation unless the killer is the nicest chap you've ever met.
It’s still tunneling. I really don’t know why people don’t admit it. I have no problem admitting when I tunnel someone… I just don’t get it.
-
@Pulsar said:
This is called the teammates shouldn't hook farm.
Like, wait for him to leave. He'd be purposefully throwing by going after the unhooker. You'd get way more distance than a person with BT.
What if he didn't leave? My guess is that he stayed near the hooks waiting for someone to come along. I could be wrong though.
