You also say as survivor if killer camps you just move on. But if they don't camp you send gg. Which seems to say you acknowledge that camping is not worthy of a gg
Nope I said if they camped or tunneled well or played with skill I gave a GG.

Maybe if you didn't camp, you wouldn't get any hate messages. I play killer and I usually play an aggressive build, in the past month I've gotten no hate messages and even a few gg's. (I play on PS4). Camping is literally frowned upon by everyone except for people like you. And you're whole thing about "...get them even more mad at a video game." is bullcrap. Some people play this game competitively, and you camping ruins they're rank and fun. I bet you tunnel as well don't you? You are the type of killer that earns us killers AS A WHOLE, toxic.
Nope I stated in my first comment that I dont always camp and still get these messages

You're right. At high ranks I don't really mind camping killers, other than it stops me from pipping. However, at low ranks camping is very common and leather face camping is even more common. People can choose to do what they like for the reasons that they like and going after them for choosing to play something different or saying that anyone who refuses to play DBD is committing "a kind of pussy move" because they were face camped is a poor personality trait.
I stand by what I said. Quitting a game specifically for that is kinda ridiculous. They buy a multiplayer game without looking into it? Then because one thing doesnt go their way they quit? Talk about having a bad trait.
-
Leatherface. I love the skin mask and big belly and the fact that hes a cannibal is a bonus

@konchok said:
I think that it's alright that you like to camp. However, I feel that killers that thrive through camping like leather face are unhealthy for dead by daylight. I've had 4 friends quit dead by daylight and for each of them it was because they got camped by a leather face.
Think about it, how many people are you responsible for being their motivation never to pick-up the game again.
Well I understand that camping can be a big negative to new players but I'm in very high ranks so I'm not really driving anyone away from the game. Along with that, alot of high rank survivors know how to counter camping and minimize its damage and quite frankly I still dont understand the survivors raging hate towards camping. I think it can be fun to play against between the jumpscares and risky saves. Not to be rude but if you quit playing a game because you got camped is kinda a pussy move. Either they didnt like the game all that much to begin with or they should maybe just stick to PVE games.

i have a hard time believing you're a rank 1 with that playstyle. good survivors will just do gens and escape if u camp, and camping prevents you from pipping lol
I dont always camp as I stated just sometimes. Also I dont sit in front of the hooks with a chainsaw revving. Like I said I'm good at camping and I know how to manipulate the ranking system

Fun is subjective, I don't have fun playing against him. I'm giving my constructive feedback about him and you're not giving me a reason why he's not oppressive to play against. Please offer a discussion on something I talked about instead of ironically just complaining about my constructive feedback. I'm interested in ways to counterplay Oni so if you have any feel free to reply.

We finally got a good killer that is super fun to play and also super fun to play against and you are already complaining about it? Unfortunately this is not surprising.

It's not supposed to be easy. You are playing against other skilled players. You're not playing against NPCs. You can't win them all.
Nah killer is supposed to be stronger

No, because "just pressure more" has actual merit. Knowing how to pressure gens is an actual strategy and something you can learn, which does help.
Not being hit ever is rarely possible unless you're up against a really bad killer that doesn't mindgame or try anything. Pallets are a finite resource, and windows are limited. At one point or another, you will go down. Don't forget the killer also has bloodlust.
And randoms exist. If I join a game of solo and some boosted random gets downed immediately and then mori'd right after getting unhooked, do you really think that's fair for the rest of the team? Do you think that makes me want to continue playing the game knowing it will end in the next 3 minutes?
Just 360 more

Ah yes the infamous "just don't get hit lol", in which my equivalent counter argument would be "just kill them quickly enough lol"
Who here is defending keys? Stop bringing it up, it's irrelevant.
Same advice as saying "Just pressure more"

So... you're admitting the problem is Leatherface and not the mori. So nerf moris and buff Leatherface.
Sure killers need more buffalo but moris also dont need nerfed

If Leatherface is so bad, I wonder why you play him 🤔
It's because you WANT to camp. That's the play style you like. Embrace it instead of coming up with some BS justification.
Which is fine, but I don't see how it's fun except if you enjoy ruining other people's time. Which I'm guessing you do based on your username and mentions of salty survivors. 🤷♀️
Actually I play every killer. Literally every single killer and i enjoy them all (except nurse). And the reason I play every killer is because they play differently and it keeps the game fresh

Camping and slugging can be prevented if the survivors are good. Using a mori is just a coinflip if you get found first and if you do, and the killer is focused on killing you once you get unhooked then bam, you're out.
It's also not the only way to win. This just sounds like you would rather have easy games instead of actually improving your killer gameplay. Apply pressure and you'll see that survivors will have a harder time pumping out those gens.
Have you also considered that if you're facing good survivors and you get outplayed, then you weren't supposed to win anyway? You're not entitled to win every game. It's important to take a loss and learn from it.
It's not about getting outplayed it's about super safe loops and the objective getting done too quickly. It's very hard to put pressure with certain killers. How tf are you supposed to win with a killer like Leatherface if every survivor on the team is atleast decent at looping and you have ######### addons? It's not gonna happen so you have to play to the Killers strengths that you are playing which for Leatherface is camping.

No. Moris, especially the Ebony one is unfair. The fact that the killer can just remove a survivor early game puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the remaining 3 that makes it very hard to survive. It's an easy way out for killers who don't even want to try to get better. It needs to be reworked.
Keys are also bullshit and need to be reworked, if you think I am biased.
Getting a survivor out of the game early is the only way to win. 4 options against good survivors: Mori, Camp first survivor, Slug everyone, or Tunnel. But all 4 of these tactics make survivors salty
-
Only thing related to moris that needs reworked is the survivors ability to see the Mori and therefore leave the games loading screen.

@anarchy753 said:
Hoffman had all the expression of a plank of wood, and about as much character development.
He was just some selfish, murderous ass who only worked with Jigsaw initially so that he wouldn't be one of his victims.
Amanda has a much more interesting and tragic backstory, and she's more intertwined with Jigasw himself. Most of the scenes that we actually see a Pig, it's her too. Hoffman uses the mask later on but there's almost no abduction scenes with him in the costume at all.
The game also got bundled with the first Saw movie on Steam, so it's possible they wanted it linked into the early characters more.
I highly disagree but even so, for the game Hoffman would've fit better. Its not a story game it's a horror game and Hoffman was a much better killer and would've fit better. Also the abduction thing is not true at all. Hoffman used the Pig outfit way more and there are way more abduction scenes with Hoffman than Amanda.

@BunnyTheHutt said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/110939/why-did-we-get-amanda-young-as-the-pig
Lore wise: Hoffman's fate is unknown, unlike Amanda's. So for all we know he could be alive and kicking and still putting people in puzzles.
Realistic wise: License. the devs have said multiple times they always want as close too the original version of a character as possible when it comes too licensed killers/survivors, so since Amanda was first she was the one they got.
Lore wise that doesnt really hold up though considering we have Myers, Leatherface, Steve, Nancy etc. The characters are not necessarily THE Michael Myers or THE Steve but A Michael or A Steve possibly from another dimension.

That's what I'm saying. The pig was only in a small amount of scenes for a few seconds for the first half of the franchise. But later when Hoffman is the main killer the Pig is used way more.
-
@Nyelo said:
The answer is in Steve and Nancy's lore in-game, even though it's very short).
I don't remember it exactly but it takes place after the events of ST Season 3, Nancy ends up in Hawkin's laboratory following some clues (Probably some traces of the Entity after it took the Demogorgon) and she calls Steve for help and when he arrives they just get picked by the Entity.
Yes I know the bios but it doesnt make sense unless in season 4 of Stranger Things they talk about this which I highly doubt will happen. If the franchise of Stranger Things was complete and there weren't gonna be more seasons then I would understand more.
-
No I think there is only one. I dont see any reason for why there would be more.
-
The new map is awesome. Its unique and changes up the game because it's so dark. It's more focused on stealth for both sides and I think is completely balanced.
-
Some of us have fun with camping builds. We shouldn't be punished at all for that more than we already are with the hard rank up.
-
@[Deleted User] said:

Yeah probably both sides.
With the lighting issues many maps are too dark to play killer. The new one is just awful.
It's very hard but I actually like the dark map. Changes things up and some killers benefit like Myers, Piggy, Ghostface, and any killer using insidious.

Not if so many plays killer it shifts the other way, wich is possible now that broken Oni and basement bug is live.
That makes no sense. Killer queue times would be longer if that were true even with a huge surplus of killers. If there were 20 survivors and 100 killers, survivors would instantly find a match
-
@johnmwarner said:
Survivor mains “killer A and killer B need nerfed, also add more pallets.”

This explains survivor mains perfectly lmao

I find that unless you're at green ranks killer takes forever. Solo survivor never takes long for me but swf is pretty bugged.
I guess its platform based. I dont have trouble finding killer games at any rank and currently I'm rank 2 and it's still quick.

@S_Panda said:
Sorry to be that guy but it's not that big of surprise: Survivor is much 'stronger' on consoles in comparison due to the limit of control killers have (see the multiple threads created in the past few days alone in general + on the oni in flicks). I've played killer on my friend's ps4 at times and it's amazing what they can get away with if you go for lunges instead of waiting to get closer for clicks. Don't forget the even more aim reliant killers such at huntress, nurse, possibly plague...
One more edit for serious discussion: The tome has quite a bit more work to do on survivor side that requires some 'luck' if you aren't giving up the game for your team (pallet stun killer twice without giving the killer free hits first, flashlight saves, safe unhooks)
I agree with that. I'd say the hardest thing with killer is the framerate drops. I've missed so many hits and chainsaws because of that.

I can’t just deal with it.
Its not simply because I don’t like the map. It is quite literally (NOT FIGURATIVELY) impossible to see much at all on PS4.
It’s just far too dark to keep much track of anything during a chase (if I even find survivors to begin with)
Its unplayable. Either I AFK or DC, I’m able to do little else with how dark the Yamaoka maps currently are.
I'm a killer main on PS4 and it is very hard but its alot of fun having a dark map. Its unique and gives it a creepy vibe
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I can’t play killer in case I end up on Yamaoka (I mean I do, but I immediately DC if those maps load)
I can’t play survivor if I’m hooked in the basement.
Its a debacle.
Why would you DC because of a map? Just deal with it instead of ruining everyone elses experience
-
@Widowmaker8197 said:
Why does every killer run ruin? I promise it's not mandatory in high ranks. Some of these killers just don't know how to apply pressure. I'm sure none of you will agree with me since 99% of this forum are killer mains, but it's whatever. Keep your precious crutch perk.
Welp you've obviously never played killer at high ranks
-
Welp guess I'm playing killer basement builds for a while xD
-
I play Ps4 and am either rank 2 or 3. The ranking system is quite terrible tho.

I agree with this. If more killer perks got buffed, there would be more diversity and surprises which I think would enhance the survivors experience.

You're deliberately making other players' game experience miserable with the intention of doing so. It's griefing. It's just "legalized" griefing because BHVR doesn't want to let go of it.
You're holding the game hostage for that one player who is on the hook. Saying it's anything else is lying to yourself.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/883349#Comment_883349
That is only true if the killer isn't intentionally making the game miserable for every survivor by playing like an #########. You can play normally and it can be fairly fun for everyone. Or you can camp and tunnel because all you care about are survivor tears. One is griefing, the other isn't. Nothing survivors do directly force the killer into a hostage situation where he just had to sit there and die on one hook despite being given 3 in a normal game. The worst they can do is move their model up and down.
Bringing keys is griefing. Bringing toolboxes is griefing. Oh and insta heals are also griefing. Oh yea and killing a survivor is griefing.

Yep it's almost as fun as rushing gens and playing a 3 minute match

-
@Atrushan88 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/882860#Comment_882860
The thing is camping is literally griefing. You see it all the time. A killer gets mad he's not doing well or a survivor tbags him or loops him for too long, then he camps them. It doesn't matter what BHVR defines griefing as, because griefing has its own definition. BHVR might not punish it, but it's griefing.
As for survivors learning their "protections", getting caught is inevitable. There are things put in place to where if a killer cannot do well enough they are still able to catch a survivor. As for the others, people complained about the Kindred buff saying it was OP, and they also complain about DS and BT endlessly. It won't be long before they become a "problem".
It's not griefing. Depending on what killer I play, I will intentionally go into a game with a camping build.

As the killer tho it's quite nice. They struggle mashing the button while you can just go break pallets, hit gens, close the hatch etc or just watch them struggle
