Just give him a free shirtless cosmetic and survivors will start dropping like flies.

It’s actually Huntress doing this to spite Trickster. She angry that the Entity replaced her hatchets with his knives.

This is honestly, a lot of help to me. See when watching people you learn a little bit. But hearing someone explain it, makes this easier to understand. Now to follow through and learn with trial and error. I think knowing what the killer is going to do is where I might struggle as that is often my biggest mistake. Guessing wrong lol. Never thought to search YouTube for a video about it, so thank you!
You’re welcome!
Also, one thing I have learned to do from several of their complaints on the forum, is to hold “shift +W” and drop a few pallets. Basically, pay attention to your surroundings, the moment you see the killer heading towards you, start running in the opposite direction. Don’t wait for them to get close. Just start running to a loop and keep on running.
In terms of DbD gameplay, this wastes a lot of time for the killer. I’ve been able to buy enough time for my team to rescue, heal and do a gen, just by doing this. Most maps have really strong loops. The corn maps have the Cow Tree (big ugly tree with cows hanging from its branches), which is a very strong loop, that usually leads into another loop.
The killer doesn’t know I’m bad, so I make a bluff by running to it and they usually abandon the chase because they don’t want to waste the time. Even if they don’t, and even if you’re not good at looping, strong loops can keep you alive long enough to help your teammates reset (rescue and heal), which can make all the difference in a match.
-
First, don’t be afraid to use Dead Hard. No one has the right to shame you for using a perk that the Devs intend for you to use. Yea, it can suck for the killer, but it’s no different from getting insta-downed by a killers power or perk.
Secondly, looping is harder than it looks. There is more to it than just running in circles. One of the biggest things you need to be able to do is look behind you while the killer is chasing you, while also being aware of your surroundings and knowing which direction to run the loops, how to chain the loops, and knowing where the loops are.
I can’t do much of the above, I’d like to blame my age and being an old fart, but it’s really just me being bad. So I can’t give you much advice. Instead, it’s better you watch this video

I don't like camping just to camp, but this was rather funny to read and I have seen friends do it. I'm a survivor main along with one friend of mine and they are rather toxic sometimes, and this happens to them. And I try my best to save them. But I try to remind them every chance I get, that they would be able to play normally with the rest if they would stop doing stuff to purposely anger the killer.
I’m a survivor main too, I only dabble in killer when I get a long streak of crappy teammates and just need a break from it or need to do killer challenges for blood points and rift.
I don’t care to camp, it is boring, but I concede that there are times when killers have to. I won’t do it unless I’m down to one or two gens and the survivors are obviously a good SWF and I need to force someone out.
The only other time I would do it is when my opponents show me no respect. If they don’t want to play the game normally and want to harass me with their flashlights or try and bait me into multiple head on stuns just for the laughs at my expense, well then, I’ll stop caring for their fun and give them a miserable game. It’s funny because, they almost always screw up near the basement, which just makes my time very easy.

Is the Halloween event just like Anniversary where we get cakes in the bloodweb for more bloodpoints? I have never done one before, so I have no idea what to expect.
Yea. Last year, they promised that they will no longer have events for holidays except for the Anniversary and Halloween, in order to focus their resources on the two and make them better than ever. That promise fell through, as you can see, with the Anniversary. They really didn’t do much other than reskinned cosmetics and blood points. No new temporary game mechanics or anything to spice up the game. They were hoping that the Resident Evil content would be enough for us.

Honestly, all the non-meta perks from both roles need to be given a looksie and made more attractive. The Meta has been the same for years and has gotten really boring and stale.

This is also a paper thin argument because survivors have absolutely no way of for sure being able to tell how many totems are done without a specific perk.
You don't need to know how many totems are done. You can wait for it to activate and then find it. It is something that you just have to keep in mind of, just like killers do when they chase anyone. Only, killers have to do it on a larger scale, with multiple survivor perks, with multiple survivors.
Should they tunnel the person that was just unhooked? What if they have BT and DS? Should they slug someone and go after the injured survivor trying to blind them? What if they have UB? What if the injured survivor has SB and DH? The killer has absolutely no way to know if a survivor has a perk until it is too late. If it is okay for one side, it is okay for the other.
As for your comment about Iridescent head, the devs never came out and said anything against or for it until they decided it was a problem. Yet, with NoEd, they have repeatedly spoken in favor of it. Though, if given enough time, I can see their minds change in order to appease all the whiners who want an easy game.

I used to, but these days, I'll only go for a-holes who excessively t-bag and are obviously in annoying me rather than playing the match. That, or those who intentionally sandbag their teammates or unhook in my face, immediately after I hooked someone. I won't take the bait right away, but wait until the right time and they're out positioned, then welcome to camp town, where you get an up close view to my beautiful eyes.

No, you are doing a service to the community. I'm getting bored with solo survivor and am thinking to purchase Bubbi Boi so I can share the love as well.
-
Yes. Altruistic swf. I hooked someone on a hook that had the routes to it pretrapped. Their teammates came rushing for the rescue and two of them got trapped while I downed the third. One escaped and rescued but got downed. The rescued person stepped into another trap that I had placed in the middle of nowhere. They all died.
-
Nope.
It's not over until the score screen is up.
Finishing 5 gens just makes things more stressful and desperate, since most of the maps resources are gone and the huge snowball potential that many killers can have.
I have the most fun in this game when I'm trying to rescue someone (if they contributed decently to the match) from a camping killer during endgame (don't worry killers, not disparaging campers, yall have nothing better to do after 5 gens, I know). Heck, when I play Trappi Boi, the stakes are higher and if I manage to get a hook or two, I can swing the match in my favor, even if I only had 3-4 hooks throughout the map, and I only run Whispers, Lightborn, Iron Grasp and Corrupt Intervention along with my brown add-ons.

I got around 200 hours in this game, and 30 of which is from playing survivor. It took me like.. maybe a DAY or a day and a half to go from Survivor Rank 20 to Rank 10. For 170 hours I've been playing killer, Legion, and i've barely gotten to rank 15. This game is MASSIVELY geared towards survivors. Heaven forbid I wanna even TRY a new killer, like Huntress, because I'll get royally curb stomped into the ground by a 4man who are all carrying flashbangs, blind me while im breaking a pallet, and use that perk that makes a gen blind you when you kick it. Liek I was a Lvl 1 Huntress, with 1 Perk. Like I didn't have a choice in picking better perks, I just wanted to try her out--and instead I just get this grueling task handed to me.
This game is easy on survivor, work on killer imo. I think I just need a break
Just wait until the SBMMR is implemented. It wasn't perfect, but during their last test, I had many more fair matches with people in similar skill than I do now. And for killers, each killer you play will have a different rating, so if you're new to one, you would be matched with lower skilled survivors.
The other thing is, don't play killer after 7:30PM. That is when all the sweat lord swf bullies are online. You can't avoid them always, but you can minimize your interaction with them, though there isn't much avoiding them on the weekend.
-
I'm a nice survivor. I don't t-bag unless the killer stabbed me multiple times while I was on the hook. I don't do that annoying rapid flashlight click where it's bound to the scroll wheel. I only do one or two clicks to reveal where I am so the killer doesn't tunnel the person I just unhooked and come after me instead. I will let the killer down me if they were struggling and seemed new or just having a bad time. And you know what, there are others like me. Not all survivors are toxic, it's just the toxic ones stand out more and the bad times usually stick to your memory.
I dabble in killer too, but not much since they seem to refuse to buff my Trappi Boi. So I understand your frustrations. You are correct in your final paragraph, the killer role is work. It is bound to be, you're only one person against 4. Throw in communications, it becomes miserable. But you can have fun and winning as killer is much more satisfying than winning as a survivor.
The biggest issue for killers is the coordination of swf and the fact that the devs can't do anything about them without killing the player-base. The best thing you can do for yourself, if you still want to play killer, is to equip your strongest add-ons, bring in a mori and tunnel the weakest link at the start of the match. Against good swf, that is really your only option unless you master Nurse, Spirit (currently bugged so don't try with her) and Blight. Run Lightborn as well. It will save you so much headache from all the blinding and become your favorite new perk.
Find a killer that you genuinely like and just accept that you won't be able to win them all. Don't feel bad if you have to tunnel, slug or camp. Your opponents don't consider your feelings when they undo all of your work when they pallet rescue, blind or sabo a hook. It isn't scummy, that's just a technique babies use to try and guilt trip you into playing nicer and according to their own made up rules.
Finally, it may simply be that the killer role just isn't for you and it would be best to play survivor or move on to another game. You need to have thick skin to play this game, in both roles. I get toxicity from killers and survivors all the time. Heck, I've had teammates cuss me out or try and shame me. For those people, just imagine them as lazy, sad little teenagers who have zero social skills and a terrible up bringing, because that is what they are. Ignore them and move on to the next match, or do like I do and feed off of their hate and aggravate them more (I can be a spiteful little turd sometimes).

You have to loop to be able to hold m1 that much lol. I'm done here
You're done here because you have no argument, just entitlement.
If you win after doing five gens, the game would immediately end. It doesn't.
And no, you don't have to be able to loop. I can run in a straight line and pre-drop pallets and waste enough time that two gens can pop. I can barely look behind myself and loop a killer. Heck, If I just start running the moment I see the killer coming for me in the distance, they either lose a gen chasing me or have to go find someone else, still wasting time.

They're there for points and Hex Totems. And if you think NOED is getting cleansed before the damage is done, then you don't play this game enough.
You absolutely do deserve a win if you beat a killer so bad they didn't even get 6 Hook States. NOED is ruining games, especially at lower ranks
No, they're there as a way to slow down the game. Against competent survivors, NoEd would only give the killer one down/kill. You don't play this game enough if you think otherwise.
You absolutely don't deserve a win just for holding M1 for most of the match. Average survivors should have 2.5 gens done before the killer gets their first down. You only deserve to beat the killer when you exit the match, nothing more and nothing less. Completing gens is only half the battle. You deserve to die to NoEd if you and your team can't distract the killer long enough to cleanse bones.
-

Ah yes, how dare the survivors not do a 6th gen that the devs didn't include?
It is only one lit totem after the gens are done.
The Devs did include dull totems. They obviously want people to cleanse them, otherwise they wouldn't have kept NoEd as is for as long as they have, nor would they have buffed small game and introduced a new tracking perk as well as new hex perks.
You're not obligated to do dulls, but you're not obligated to have an easy escape after holding M1 for most of the match.
-
I've been playing for 2 years and it can be boring, but it is addicting. And winning, in either role, is just so satisfying, especially if the match was close. It's difficult to get the same feeling in other games.

NOED is a crutch perk, and if you can't get 6 Hook Stages by Endgame, then yeah, you were thoroughly outplayed. It's a simple change and it stops killers from playing terrible all game then getting 2 kills through no good play of their own
That is your opinion, not fact. If you and your teammates can’t distract and loop the killer long enough to do gens and totems, using the many crutch perks, strong tiles and 15-20 pallets that the game provides, then you simply got outplayed.
No change is needed except for the lazy attitude most players have in this game.
-
Yes.
-
@Tekno_Badger said:
Noed is not fine, bad killers use it as a crutch and it spoils games even if the survivors thoroughly outplayed them. The best way to fix this is to only activate it if 6 Hook Stages were achieved
Survivors don’t “throughly outplay” a killer if they get downed by NoEd. If the killer was bad and survivors were thoroughly outplaying them, they should have had no problems cleansing totems. Even if they didn’t cleanse totems during the match, they can always find the lit and crackling totem after the fifth gen pops.
And no, your suggestion wouldn’t work since most gens can be completed by competent survivors by the time the killer gets their third hook. Note, I said competent, not sweaty swf. Just average players who know the game.
Completing 5 gens doesn’t entitle you to an easy escape. The game isn’t over until you’re out the door.
Finally, I’d argue that killers earn NoEd by playing most of the match with 3 perks. If they were bad, and still get use out of it, it’s on the survivors. If they were so impressive that you couldn’t do bones, then they earned its activation.

I love this! I enjoy people who expect that, that is the end and then you just pop off and they're like "Well shhhhht"! and just watch you run away. But I also understand some reasons for not letting people have the KOBE. Also, would Jake Park's Calm Spirit keep Hag traps from triggering, do you know?
No, calm spirit just prevents screaming. Try holding crouch while you attempt to jump off. It may work, but I haven't tried it against hags trap yet.
-
Well, it wouldn't be bad, but it would still be nerfed if that happens. Part of the power of NoEd is in the unknown until it is too late. It forces survivors to be more careful and consider if the killer is running it. It's no different when killers have to play around DS, BT and UB. The survivor may not have it, but most killers play around them because it can really hurt them if they're wrong.
-
Okay, to be a little more serious, I'd like to buff Self Care to be twice as fast.

Make Noed no longer a hex perk and allow it to activate after 4 generators are completed. Then sit back and watch the fireworks.

It depends. Did we just get outplayed, did the killer tunnel at 5 gens, or did we screw up?
If the killer brings in an Iridescent Head and tries to tunnel and mori from the start, being the vindictive ######### that I am, I’ll become one with the shadows and prolong the game as long as I can without holding it hostage. I’ll take my time doing totems, searching chests and only do gens when I’m sure I’m safe.
If I was the first hooked and all three teammates are crouching around doing nothing? I don’t try to hit the skill checks when I get to second stage.
If the killer is just better than us, spreads out the hooks and downs us quickly, I’ll stealth since it’s my natural play style but let them kill me in the end. Sometimes I’ll try to meme around to give them a good chuckle before they kill me.

They're the best perks you can use on any high mobility killer. They're no more common than DS, BT, UB, DH and SB. People are only complaining about them because they need to blame something other than their or their teammates own lack of skill to counter it.
All the perks have easy counters
Ruin: Cleanse the lit totem.
Undying: Cleanse the lit totem.
Tinkerer: Split up on gens. Having Sprint Burst can be viewed as a counter.
BBQ: Get in a locker, behind a gen or into the terror radius.
Not a single thing is difficult about this perk combination. I've seen people complaining about Tinkerer a lot lately, some calling it OP or problematic. I don't understand why. Don't most people say the most fun part of the game is getting in a chase? Tinkerer allows the killer to quickly go into multiple chases throughout the map. I think lazy or bad players are the ones who whine about this perk.
-
Even though I prefer male characters, I can’t deny Huntress has the looks if the Devs would texture her properly.

NOOOOOOOOOO... But before you assimilate me, may I ask if you think the change to Whispers is actually a good one? Your feedback is very important to me. Anyway NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Ok, since I don't want to get in trouble for going off topic, As a killer, I'd love it, but it feels a little too strong. It would almost be as if it were wall hacks, which sucks, because as a survivor main, one of the most things I love is breaking chase and disappearing, especially against someone who tunnels at 5 gens.
I had a killer tunnel the other day, they tunneled the first person they found, running instant down hatchets. When everyone realized they were tunneling only to mori asap, we all became part of a bush (seriously, super stealth mode). It was extremely satisfying watching the killer look all around the gen that I was working on and not be able to find me, while I'm just positioning myself behind a rock. If they had your buffed Whispers, they'd have found me immediately and no one on our team would have had a chance.
Also, Imagine this perk on Spirit. Only Spirit mains would enjoy that.
If anything, I wish they would make it so Whispers would just not light up if the closest survivor is on a hook. That way I would know not to look around for someone and look elsewhere for my next chase.

Well yeah but like even myers can win on most maps against most teams with ruin pop and never reach the endgame. Obviously if you get haddonfield you are ######### but I mean you dont get haddonfield or even any of the other maps that are absolutely ######### like the game or RPD half of your games you dont get instacleansed ruin half of your games and if you are constantly playing a weaker killer I would really expect you to know how to play them efficiently. Having rough games is ok thats why I said majority of games if your games is that close that even with the strongest perks you still reach the endgame idk what to say other than like hold a 3 gen better finish your chases earlier learn to ditch chases when you need to etc etc. I am not saying if you ever lose you are a bad player sometimes the game just cucks you but if you are consistently losing while using some of the best perks.
Your opinion is still wrong. So many factors go into a match that there is really no absolute way to judge skill. And to be fair, most maps are fairly survivor sided and killers can't win unless they capitalize on survivor mistakes. Killers have to run slow down perks to even stand a chance against a group of survivors with more than two brain cells. Heck, during the last match making test, the people I got matched up with consistently got gens done within 5 minutes.
I am literally terrible at this game when it comes to looping, I can't look behind while running, I crutch on Spine Chill, and yet, I can easily start running when I see the killer coming for me in the distance. By the time they make up the time, I'm already at a pallet, and can run around it at least twice, drop the pallet and run to another loop while they break it. In this time, if my teammates are doing what they're supposed to be doing, two gens will pop, easily. If they have prove thyself and tool boxes, 3 gens will be gone or near gone.
You act as if finishing chases for killers is easy. They are not, unless they're bad survivors. Even then, if they predrop pallets and run like I do, the killer has no chance without slow down perks. Also, guess what, NoEd is a slowdown perk. With out it, the only people who would cleanse dull totems would be Inner Strength users.
People are not bad players for using specific perks. If they were, then everyone who plays with any perks equipped are bad and should, from now on, only run perkless. Calling them bad is just trying to shame for using a perk you don't like, in hopes of making them not to want to use it anymore.

If you run ruin pop and still get use out of NOED most games then to be completely honest you just suck at the game. Having the 2 best tools for slowing down the match and still getting to the end most games is kinda embarassing. Like if its one game every now and again against amazing survivors sure no shame in NOED happening on top of all your slowdown but like if its anywhere close to half the time hell even like a quarter of hte time then I hate to say it but you arent just running into god squads you are just kinda bad to put it bluntly.
Or, hear me out, they're not playing one of the stronger characters and perhaps even got cucked with a bad map. Maybe all the survivors weren't sweaty swfs but know the game well enough to split up on gens and know how to run away before the killer approaches them?
One could turn this around and say if you can't cleanse ruin, do gens separately and cleanse totems before NoEd pops, then, well, maybe you and your team are just bad at this game? A combination of 16 perks and 4 brains can't counter 4 perks (two of which can be removed from the game) and one player, man, that's just bad.
