funny how many say don't Q up and play if your going to DC or stop DC your bad you should uninstall, because of how many DC I see if every DCer I see quit today there be no game. lol
and there almost is no game or you think the long killer Q time showed up out of no where?
sucks the long q for killers make me have to play survivor more and with the BP bonus gone from my perks the game don't feel fun anymore and it mostly the grind tho solo still sucks.
I finished my Survivor rift challenges yesterday and started on the Killer challenges. All of my killer queues were nearly instant. Didn’t have to wait more than 10 seconds to find a lobby.

Lmao. You would need to be on the east coast of US. Is the name the same as on here ?
I faced @KayTwoAyy not so long ago. I was playing pretty bad that game though
I live in the Midwest (Specifically Missouri -don’t come here, the humidity is atrocious).
Yes, I use this name in-game as well. I like how it sometimes instills fear in my teammates, thinking I’m just going to hide most of the match.
-
Trapper as long as I have one of his iridescent add-ons equipped.
Funny enough I hate facing him as a survivor. I’d rather get a face camping Bubba or an infectious star struck Nurse who slugs and bleeds everyone out at 5 gens.

I'm cool with her range add ons until they shrink maps. Then by all means. Reduce the range.
Going back to the other conversation. I won't call myself a god blight or nurse. But I'm brutal to go against using both. You can do more against my nurse by forcing 50/50s. Then you can against my blight. You're just sorta dead if I see you.
I'd argue at this point. Blight is stronger. Rather it's basekit to basekit. Or add ons to add ons. Basekit blight keeps traversal, and there's not many hits I get with speed. That I can't get basekit. While nurses traversal is terrible basekit, and worse then a 4.6
Blights add ons are more broken then nurse funny enough. Even with range. You can still break LOS and force guesses and read what the nurse is doing. If a Blight of my level is running c33...You're just dead.
Good Sir, if you ever see my name as one of your opponents, I ask that you be gentle with me.
Also, people need to stop taking the bait.

I’m not. I hardly ever see Nurse or a Blight (Thank God) and killers don’t steam roll us (I play solo) like many claim. I do get the annoying baby dcers and afkers.

The range add ons aren't necessary at all. Yes those maps are stupid, but that does not justify having a broken killer in the game with broken add ons.
This is like the stupid circle debate people would be having about old keys and moris.
"Well we can't change moris because keys are a problem. And we can't change keys because moris are a problem! Therefore, we'll be keeping everything as is!"
Just. Do. It.
Make the first step and the rest will follow soon enough. Change one thing, and then the other, and no it really doesn't matter which one they change first if you're truly on board with the idea that Nurse is overpowered. Either change is a step forward at this point.
Okay then, rework the maps and then rework Nurse.
-
No. I want a chainsaw wielding survivor so I can camp killers.
-
Yes, to rescue the person who looped the killer for three gens even if it cost me my life.
-
No, I'll stick to Self Care, Inner Strength, Boon: Circle of Healing and No Mither.
-
Claudette.
She is simply the best.
None in Dbd can compare to her.
All who try to defy her suffer a terrible demise.
-
The ground located at the exit gates is special. The entity purifies it every trial and survivors use it to clean their behinds because the trials don't have toilet paper and the leaves on the plants are too harsh.
-
Behaviour has no control over my power. Soon The Bush will consume all.
-
Because the players who main him deserve the frustration. 😈

I rescue them out of spite.

well its not lazy, if you are an aggressive player who doesnt focus on gens as much and you dont tunnel you just add pressure but at the same time if i dont have bbq and i hook and walk 20 meters away towards a gen 50 meters away im not gonna keep going. its smart to down 2 survivors while the other 2 are doing something else. they are split up or stacking on a gen and once 2 survs are hooked and i chase 1 more the other does nothing and if they both run to the hook ill pressure the whole team. but yes some killers will go back to hook mid chase with a survivor even if youre cross map which is annoying and pointless
So basically, it’s okay for you to play smart but it’s wrong for survivors to play smart. Got it.

iri head XD its dead and its only use is for meme builds. also if you take aggro then yes you are playing right. but do you just hide after unhooks while your teammate is running away? do you hide after healing them and get them tunneled?
I take hits for my teammates when the killer is lazy and rushes back to the hook.
-
I haven’t used it in a long time. Inner Strength has always been the superior perk.

Every reworked map, for both sides.
But, if we take them out of the equation then the worst map in my honest opinion is Dead Dawg Saloon, both for Survivor and Killer.
Aw, that’s my favorite map. The bushes on that map are excellent! I think it’s pretty even once the killer breaks a few doors on the main building.
My worst map is RPD. Teammates go into second stage because it’s hard to navigate to them.
Poo Poo Bird Lady’s map is a close second because it has no bushes. It’s not enough her chase music and constant cawing and screeching cause my ears to bleed, noooo, her map has to be anti-Claudette too. The dumb cow. I hate her.
-
Blight and Freddy (Sorry @GeneralV )
Blight because I can’t be bothered to learn how to traverse the map and what I can and cannot bump off of. I tried doing that rift challenge where he has to hit six survivors after doing a rush and couldn’t do more than 2. I have more respect for Blight mains now, even though most of them play like their life depends on winning.
Freddy is just so uninteresting and uninspired. Nothing like I thought he would be when I thought about the Movie Freddy. I never played the old Freddy (they reworked him before I started playing) and hope for the sake of my dear friend that they rework him and give him back his old power with some QoL improvements.

nah because i typically go against smarter survivors who do gens so when i get that potato who hides all match ill always be pissed. he screws his teammates over and avoids taking hook states and i hate when my teammates do it.
I play stealth. I can’t loop well (issue with looking behind while running) but I can avoid the killer, do gens and I take aggro for anyone on death hook. I and many players who play like me are not screwing the team over. We enjoy this aspect of the game and shouldn’t be disparaged for it. Not our fault you don’t want to adapt.
You’d probably tunnel and camp for anything a survivor may do that you don’t like. I bet you run Iridescent Head and get frustrated because survivors don’t want to give you easy downs.

Seeing as I only ever played Code Veronica, I have no idea who Sheva is and think of this character whenever she's mentioned:

You will be forgiven. Your teammates will understand that the newly modeled oppai are hard to resist.

No such thing as a toxic build or perks. Your behavior is what matters when it comes to toxicity.

You really gonna make me choose between Artist and baby crow, huh?
In all seriousness, MMR improvements, above all else. I had a Feng plant a CoH against a Plague, when she was the only one healthy yesterday. Not in combination with another boon either. Just…ech.
The correct answer is Baby Crow <3
And yes too MMR improvements. They need to include more than just escaping. Hours played and how much you contribute to objectives/helping the team needs to be parameters that it takes into consideration.

Okay, a fair question as I play a lot of solo.
I'll go through your suggestions, then add my own. Assume a non-mention is mostly an agreement.
- No. One of these is more than sufficient. Basekit at 3 seconds? Sure. 5 seconds? Sure. 3 seconds, double activation? Sure. All 3 together - not a chance in hell.
- I've suggested this in the past, with the easier solution just being able to see what perks everyone else has. The problem is that this would result in lobby dodges if anyone is running stuff off meta. Your idea is just...too complicated.
- I think BHVR realized that these won't do much, for the work they'll take to implement. I like the idea, but we'll have to wait.
- Chests? Sure. Totems? No. Totems are already meh.
- Baseline Kindred with survivor auras only? Absolutely fine. Killer aura - no. Too strong for basekit. The information that aura gives even if the killer isn't camping is ridiculously good.
- YES. But...I'd rather see this done in the same way other games do it - rather than falling off over time, DCs now require you to play multiple games out without DCing to get the penalty to decrease.
- Sure. But it would be used excessively and would get a bit silly.
- Just rework it.
- No, Artist is nearly perfect.
As for my own ideas...you actually got most of them.
I'd like to see:
- SWFs gain a temporary inflated MMR number, proportional to the number of people playing together. This means that communication is offset by a slightly stronger opponent. This would also free up killers of the correct MMR for solos.
- If a killer remains within a certain radius of a hooked survivor, they lose their ability to use their power and perks. This persists for a few seconds after the unhook, or they leave the radius.
- An ingame tool to help people find groups. Something like a 'LFG'.
And for some controversial ones:
- Solo players get a bonus to BP and a bonus to score events. Pipping is...honestly too damn hard at times.
- Survivors gain a portion of the BP/score events earned while on the hook, much as they do during a chase. This will encourage people to not suicide.
I agree with your controversial points. Solo needs some love when it comes to blood points and pipping (though I personally don't care since I'm mediocre at the game and don't want to be up with the higher skilled sweat lords).
I would love it if SWFs gain an inflated MMR as you suggested, it would make me play killer for more than just challenges.
I disagree about killers losing powers near hooks unless it's killers who have a one shot ability. Maybe make it to where if they stay at the hook for a certain amount of time, their power wouldn't down anyone, but put them in deep wound state, even if they were already injured.
LFG, ah, that brings back memories of my addiction to WoW and all the times my corpse has been camped while trying to level up in outland, admiring and wondering where they got their netherdrake mount. Yes, it would be a good addition. To add to this idea, I'd like to have a feature that would let random teams who enjoyed each other to queue up for the next match together.
As far as artist goes, I don't necessarily hate her power. It's her darn caw cawing, screeching, and chase music. It just makes me cry. I figured replacing her with a cute little birb that just chirps, and has all her powers would be easier on my ears.
For DS, I'm okay with what someone else suggested, where we can have one base-kit DS after the first hook and the perk could add one after the second hook. It doesn't necessarily need to be 5 seconds, it just needs to give the survivor a chance.
My visual indicator does seem complicated, but some perks like Head On could use something. As you said, if perks were revealed in lobby, lobby dodging would make a comeback. It was just an idea that I hope the devs would mull over.
They could put a cool down on the map marker or limit how many times it can be used, it shouldn't be too troublesome.
Hopefully, RpD gets reworked with the upcoming Resident Evil Chapter.
All in all, I admit I'm no game developer and just spitballing ideas. It would just be nice if Devs took solo queue more seriously several years ago and release balance patches more often. It would be fantastic if they would do more trial weekends like they did with the blood lust weekend and see what works and what doesn't.
-
@StibbityStabbity said:
I don't like the idea of DS being base-kit. Just a me thing. However, if it WAS base-kit, I would make it so that the Base-Kit version works only on FIRST hook, and has the 40 second timer akin to DS tier 1. Taking the perk makes it work on both unhooks and gives the benefit of the increased time based on tier. Stun time should be back up to 5 seconds, rest of the normal penalties apply.
This would be fine by me. Would make getting farmed while playing solo less miserable.
-
@PaintedDeath said:
Base kit DS available on both pick ups and I stop playing Killer entirely. I dont need that kind of negativity in my life.
Why? You're still able to tunnel if you want, but at least this way the survivor has a chance to play a bit more. It'll still deactivate after gens are completed and be useless during endgame.
-
@Aneurysm said:
1) more consistent matchmaking (new players should have their own queue and not come into contact with experienced players for a while)
2) kindred base without killer aura
3) a base 3 sec DS on unhooks. Current DS can increase the stun time to 4 or something
4) bigger speed boost after unhooks
5) you being banned for being rude about artist
6) base info just so we can see who's being chased doing gens etc. SWF already have this info
7) no more perks that hurt solo way more than SWF, case in point: eruption
8) don't see how deleting RPD will really help solo specifically but it won't hurt to try
I wasn't being rude about her, I was being honest. (Thanks for the chuckle though).
Deleting RPD would help solo because I would stop getting lost on the way to hooked teammates and finally be able to rescue them before they go into second stage.
I like the idea of a longer speed boost after being unhooked. I hope the devs play around with that.
-
Yea, no. Survivors shouldn't be able to resort to cheating in order to be able to help their teammate escape. The punishment should be worse for players like you.
-
I'm a team player unless my teammates are potatoes or trolls and I always run BT because it gives the unhooked person a chance at playing just a little longer. I even take a hit for them so as to get the killers attention in hopes of preventing them from tunneling. I would like teammates to do the same for me.
-
Should have washed your computer before playing.
-
Around 160k.
Claudette hasn’t had any sexy or interesting shard cosmetics for a while so I’m hoarding them.

There's really no way to tell because with the Dead Hard nerf, Killers also just given free kills by the developers in this patch so they felt like an "unstoppable force".
If the patch had actually been fair instead of developer added cheat software for killer, then maybe a judgement could be made on Dead Hard. But who knows.
By your reasoning, we could say that survivors got free escapes when they had the original Dead Hard and the devs did the right thing and nerfed it so now, survivors have to earn their escapes rather then get easy escapes.

This ^
I was fine on the PTB but with what feels like a majorly reduced FOV on top of the filter on top of losing distance it just all combines together into one big headache that leaves me playing with my eyes shut half the match.
I just go to the corner of the map and wait it out so I don't have to worry about my eyes rupturing. All the filters they use are annoying. They had an orange glyph challenge that added some screen effects and horrible sound and I wanted to quit the game. I finished it tho, Claudettes science girl outfit had to be mine.
-
I prefer stealth but I've recently been enjoying chases as long as matchmaking works and doesn't give me a killer who is much better than me. I just wish devs would stop with the aura reading perks and barren maps like Poo Poo Bird Ladys bushless map.
