Again, in which part do I control my teammates not doing stupid stuff in end game and them not trying to be super altruistic or something? Also why shouldn't the killer camp his totem by hooking the downed survivor next to it if it's not on the other side of the map?
It's like we're talking about braindead killers here. But survivors have to be at least decent.
Not being able to co-ordinate with no communication features doesn't make one a bad player, they make them disadvantaged.
A killer getting someone cause the survivor walked to a dead zone he didn't know was a dead zone is not a skill issue on the survivor's part. It's a game flaw since we cannot communicate to each other where pallets are left.
Survivors having trouble doing all gens is cause we don't know where the gen getting worked on is. It's not a skill issue I cannot guess a random gen. It's a gameflaw that requires me and my teammates to play as a team but gives us no means to do so. Do you know how many times I've wanted to send some sort of message to my teammates to go finish my central gen?
Even if matchmaking was fixed, the communication stuff is still missing. And matchmaking would greatly benefit upper levels where survivors are well-rounded in general. But mid to low levels would also benefit more from some sort of communication system, like ask for healing or ask for a specific gen to be focused on.
Till then let me 'git gud' at being a mind reader.
SoloQueue now has communication in the form of the action icons of the HUD. You now know what your teammates are doing at all times. You can tell if they’re on a gen, doing nothing, cleansing a totem, hooked, opening a chest, healing, cleansing a debuff, slugged, or are in a chase. If you pay attention, you can see if someone was on a gen and let go of it and can usually assume they’re going for a rescue. Nearly everything you can communicate on Comms is give to you visually.
Knowing where the dead zones are is part of your job as a survivor. You keep your eyes open and pay attention to where the killers been. Listen for their terror radius and if you don’t hear them chasing near by, then it’s safe to assume your local resources are still available. You can also use your eyes as you make way from generator to generator and make note of what resources are available. If you struggle to do that, you can crutch in Windows of Opportunity like I do.
Theres no excuse for anymore Solo Queue buffs in terms of communications. You have everything handed to you and you have plenty of perks to fill in any of your individual weaknesses.
As I said earlier, it’s only a case of bad matchmaking and getting gud.
Otherwise, learn how to make friends and play SWF if solo queue is so unbearable. That is still an option.

The gore isn't for everyone.
I really like the main characters and the story it tells.
Yea, I can appreciate it having a good story, but I’m too much of a visual person. My imagination is also very vivid. It’s to the point where if I see someone put metal in their mouth, I can start to taste it in mine.

That's like saying "I am not racing cause I have black friends" and then proceeding to say a racist thing anyway.
First you claim the way to counter NOED is for your whole team to cleanse the totems, which requires co-ordination that solo doesn't have. Then you tell me to "git gud" when the game's matchmaking is ######### and survivors of hugely different skill levels are matched.
That's again a great argument there. Can't even admit that certain strategies are strompers for solo just gotta say "git gud". Kinda sad killers couldn't wait out dead hard like the good ones.
The whole team doesn’t have to spend time cleansing totems. You can play cautiously and just not get caught when the fifth gen pops and then look for the disco totem.
One person can use one perk that lets them know where totems are and how many are left. One person, out of four, can equip one perk out of a combined 16 perks, to counter one killer perk.
Maps are also a thing. If you don’t have any, Plunderers is a great perk to hoard them.
Game should not be balanced around bad solo-queue players. The game should be balanced around players who know how to play. If it’s bad teammates you have a problem with, then ask the devs to improve matchmaking, not easily countered killer perks. Barring that, you’re more than welcome to form a swf.
In the end, git gud.

Yeah, I'm sure if I played in a SWF no totems would make it to end game, but as it is I am not and I cannot control my teammates. Try harder next time with your answer, thx.
I only play SoloQ and unless my team royally screwed up, the killer doesn’t get more than 1 down with NoED.
If your team fails against NoED, it’s not a problem with NoED, the killer or the game, it’s a problem with you and your teammates, regardless of whether it’s Solo Queue or SwF.
git gud.

Can't the exact same be said for NOED?
If survivors do all 5 gens why should a perk allow the killer to undo his bad decisions for the last 10 minutes?
If the killer was bad, y’all should have no problem looping him long enough to do the gens and 5 totems, especially since they’re only playing most of the match with 3 perks.
Even if you’re too lazy to cleanse them, you can wait for the 5th gen to pop and it’ll light up like a disco ball making it easy to spot.

Now, to take advantage of that and slow down a little bit in their releases and taking the time to fix what needs fixing instead of pumping out chapters one after the other...
We already have so many survivors and killers, and a ton of perks no one uses. They should take a few months to focus on QoL, balance and reworks.
They should go down to two chapters a year and use the extra time to rebalance/rework weaker killers while improving maps and the games code (complete rewrite plz).
We also need more cosmetics for Feng.
-
- Bush cosmetic for all survivors. Claudette will have an extra special version that changes color and shape depending on the map. If there are no bushes on the map then it’ll turn into a rock, barrel or desk.
- Revert the nerf to Ruin. (The recent one)
- Buff Undying to allow hexes transfer up to two times.
- Hex totems will not be lit (even if active) at the start of the match. They will only light after the first gen is completed. The exception for this would be Third Seal because it’s a PITA.
- Slugged survivors bleed out 50% faster.
- Nerf Pig.
- Completely overhaul the character models and cosmetic system. More customization options and slots.
- More interactive maps. Slippery floors, quicksand, moving objects and whatever else we can come up with.
- Rework Myers to have base-kit wall hacks. No more insta-killing someone who hasn’t been hooked. No more insta-killing a healthy survivor. Base-kit mori for those in death hook. Faster movement speed and add-ons that improve it.
- Buff DS to work after both hook states but still keep its current restrictions.
- Killers or survivors who haven’t moved from their position in 60 seconds lose collision.
- Survivors who aren’t working on an objective for longer than 2 minutes have their aura revealed. This disables if they interact with an objective for at least 15 maybe 20 seconds.
- Match limit will be set at 30 minutes maximum. No need for any match to last longer.
- Serial DC’ers will be matched with like minded individuals.
- Rebalance maps to make most loops 50/50 and then rework Nurse to have 1 blink with faster movement speed.
- Remove the screaming/wailing from Nightfall.
- New map on Ormond.
- New whacky game mode where balance doesn’t matter.
- Dbd-Kart kinda like how Mortal Kombat ripped off Mario Kart in one of their games.
- Brenda Meeks with Legendary Cindy cosmetic and both get voice-lines.
- New female Mr Baldy skin from the newest movie.
- Candyman Skin for Artist. Instead of birds, the crows will be swarms if bees.

Regarding your point on Haste stacking, I think there's a very simple solution. Perform a consistency pass, like was done with methods of applying Exhaustion way back when™, and make it so you're only ever effected by 1 form of Haste at a time, whichever is greatest. This then removes the large issue of MFT stacking with other Haste perks to become genuinely overbearing while being okay by itself, and allows other perks like Dark Theory to be buffed to a useable level without worrying about causing some extreme combination. Also frees up potential design issues for future perks, as Haste stacking is no longer a concern.
It may not be a problem now, as the only 2 that can be consistently stacked is MFT and Dark Theory, but changing it now can free up the design team for a lot later on.
Get out of here with all of that sensible talk. This is the Dbd forum. Only doom and gloom are allowed here!

Personally I wouldn't be bothered by having to mix up my perk loadouts, because I'm not tied to the meta. But it would be seen as punishing players for playing with friends, particularly as SWF is not always an advantage. SWF merely provides the opportunity for a higher level of coordination, it doesn't guarantee it, and it doesn't guarantee those players are using voice chat.
I know it’ll be seen as a punishment but any rational person would understand that it’s not and that it’s all about balance.
I doubt the Devs would want to open that can of worms though, seeing how reasonable and mature the player base is.

It's punishing people for playing seriously with their friends. Not disagreeing with your overall suggestion, just calling it like it is. I like Dead by Daylight as much as the next guy, but I play in a duo and we mainly play for fun. Like, yes, we want to win but not if the cost is being a sweat and ruining not just our fun but the killer's fun aswell.
Winning is nice, but it's not the reason I play dbd.
It would only come into play when it’s 3 or more players in a swf and no, it’s not punishing anyone because the information gained by using discord as well as not having to play with a SoloQueue potato more than makes up for the restrictions. Duos wouldn’t be affected.

Am I the only one who thinks swfs are necessary at this point. Some of my most fun and sweatiest matches were from swf. Swf brings a completely new element to the game. Yeah having infinite info all the time wasn't how the game was designed but it's here and there's no way of stopping it. The only way to bring solo q up to swf level is vc and we all know we don't want built in VC for every match every person so Dwight can yell about how you suck because he was hiding in a locker and you didn't complete 5 gens.
That being said swfs are the highest level of gameplay for survivors, and killers alike. Is it hell going up against a really awesome swf of course, but it pays off as far as learning goes, you can't just run around downing whoever and camping whoever, you have to have actual game awareness and strategize. As many have already stated there can't be a nerf to swf without indirectly in some way hurting solo q. As far as solo q being buffed maybe an emote wheel of pre set phrases to let your teammates know what the plans are, so you cant just talk ######### to Claude for hiding in a bush although she may desrve it.
Dont know if any of this makes sense but just inputting my 2, hope everyone has an awesome day!
First, Claudette’s hiding in a bush is a natural phenomenon just as fish swimming in water. Don’t hate.
Secondly, SWF can be nerfed without harming Solo Queue. The Devs could limit perks they can use when queuing up with 3 or more players. Some would say it punishes players for wanting to play with their friends and I’d argue balancing the game to make it fair for the killer player is not punishment.
-
The conspiracy theorist side of me says it’s intentional so the SWFs can have fun and keep playing games while making funny videos for their followers.
The rational side of me says there’s just not enough high skilled players who play killer, probably because they got tired of the stress and sweating. Therefore, you get thrown to the wolves.
take your pick.

Just to echo what others have said about the PSU. If you smell something burned and it's not powering on at all, like no beeps, no spinning fans, nothing, you probably have a failed PSU. If it actually overheated, it will usually give you a warning and shut itself down before a huge thermal event takes place. And you'd be able to turn it back on once temps returned to normal. Luckily a PSU is fairly easy to swap out with a known good and test.
Yea, unfortunately it’s not the PSU. The case fans and the graphics card fans all come on when I power it on. I’m pretty sure it’s the CPU and/or the motherboard.
I’ve been wanting to upgrade for a while and get a smaller desktop so I’m not as annoyed as I could be. I just have other things that I need to pay for before I can splurge on a new computer.
It’s just, playing Dbd helped me remove myself from my daily struggles and just let me easily escape reality when I needed a break from everything. Oh well, I’ll still stalk the forums and use every excuse I can to share cat pictures.

Sounds like it might be the PSU. Either way, sorry to hear OP. You can always get a cheap laptop and sign up for nVidia GeForce Now to play DBD. Not the most ideal but at least you won't miss the event.
That is an option, but I don’t like subscriptions and I like having a full desk top set up. While the withdrawal symptoms are rough, I can use this time to try to be a little more productive with my free time. I might go to the library and get some books. I used to read a book a week and my addiction to the internet ruined it. It’s a hobby I’ve been meaning to get back into.

It's usually only one PC component that malfunctions/breaks. The fact the PC shut off completely could be due to the CPU overheating, once it reaches a certain temperature it automatically shuts off in order to not damage itself. That either means you have faulty fans or the liquid cooling isn't working. It could also mean your CPU simply cannot handle hefty tasks anymore. You don't need to build a whole new PC, try a repair shop or try to diagnose which component is causing the most damage if your PC is old.
I’m going to have a friend look at it. I thought I could fix it myself since I built it but I did notice a very faint burnt plastic scent coming out of it. It’s a bit on the older side so if I have to replace the CPU or motherboard or even both, I’m just going to save up and build a new one if I don’t go the Mac route. It’s just ridiculous how expensive graphics cards are these days! I choked when I saw the prices. I’m better off getting a PS5 and a new TV.

“The screenshot shows that your team massively screwed up” im sorry that im playing solo que on an indoor map vs a killer with hex third seal. “It takes one person to bring unbreakable” sorry i couldn’t tell my teammates to bring it since again im solo que.
“killer was way better than you” i got downed 1 time in this match if thats all it takes for the killer to be better than me in a game then ok i guess.
just give us a bleed out button. Thats ill take that. But your “just bring unbreakable soul guard” (you cant be serious about no mither) take was very unfair
It is a team game and your team is only as strong as the weakest link. You didn't have to tell your teammate to bring in Unbreakable, you could have equipped it. Seeing as you didn't shows me that you don't think slugging is as big as an issue as you claim it is. If it was, you would have equipped it.
You getting downed 1 time and dying isn't a problem with the game, the killer or their perks, its a problem with bad teammates. Ask the devs for better matchmaking or go the SWF route.
I'm all for a faster bleed out option, but me telling you to bring in a perk to counter the killer is in no way "Unfair". You just don't want to hear it. And yes, I am serious about No Mither. I've had groups show me how strong it is in a team that comes in prepared to work to its strengths. You may not be good enough to run it, you may not have good teammates to take advantage of it, but that's a player problem, not a game problem.
-
@EmmaFrostyEyes said:
Also I remember killer players were complaining how the game have 0 variety because of survivor running the same build: ds dead hard unbreakable and bt. So saying “just bring x perk” is just gonna lead to the same thing
There will always be a meta no matter how much anyone complains. It’s the nature of multiplayer games. Killers and survivors will always gravitate to the strongest perks .
The survivors have an advantage in that they can make teams and vary the perks to help cover everything a killer may do.

You saying “just bring unbreakable” is a bad take. We are at the point where you shouldn’t need to bring perks to cover game flaws. Hate being tunneled? Just bring ds. Hate being camped? Just bring deliverance. Hate bring gen rushed immediately? Bring corrupt.
basekit unbreakable was a terrible idea i agree with you there, but there needs to be something in the game that prevents you from just being left on the floor for 4 minutes.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/4FE12PV9IVWM/4fb738ba-fd3d-4f89-9d08-06ab90ec7037.jpeg
Case and point.
they are already looking at countering face camping and i hope they can find a way to help slow down the game for killers. I personally would love a second objective like to find part or to find a glyph to unblock a gen.
This isn’t a fighting game where both sides are equally equipped to be able to counter each other. When it’s 1vs1, the survivor is supposed to be at a great disadvantage. Perks and some game mechanics are meant to help alleviate some of that disadvantage. The game should not hold your hands, for either side, when you make bad plays.
The only thing that screenshot shows is that either your team massively screwed up or the killer was way better than you. It would have taken only one person on your team to bring in Unbreakable and reset the team. It also doesn’t take any perks to spread out and get picked up in a safe location.
I agree that getting left to bled out for four minutes is a problem, but giving survivors a free get out of jail card isn’t the solution. Killer won, sure, they’re being toxic by not hooking, but the game shouldn’t punish them by letting the losers reset. The solution is easy. Let the game detect if the survivors have a way to get back up on their own, if not, the killer automatically Moris one survivor and the entity takes the rest. Maybe cut down the base bleed out time to two minutes or even give survivors a concede option.
Im not against making the game fun for both sides, I’m just against making it more fun for one side while taking away player agency or punishing someone for playing well and rewarding someone for playing poorly. It why you don’t see me saying anything against base-kit BT or the upcoming anti-face camping mechanic. They punish poor killer game play but don’t really reward survivors for misplays.

Hey friend, I don't think anyone would argue that spending four minutes on the ground is a rocking good time for all involved. But the ability to pick yourself up unconditionally had some very clear knock-on effects elsewhere in the game and we saw them very clearly during the PTB where it was tested. If something fixes one problem and creates several others, then it's not something that we can really justify doing.
This does not mean that we think that being slugged to death is a great time. It just means that this wasn't the right fix for it, and rather than barreling ahead with it, we would rather give it the time and thought to find something that works. But all that said, putting words in our mouths isn't going to help anything. If you insist on inserting your own assumptions into our responses, it's just going to sour your opinion from the get-go. We're not evil masterminds who are out to get you specifically, we're just trying to make a game that's fun for everyone.
Hey Peanits! Have you guys considered or toyed around with the idea of speeding up the bleed out timer? I would think it’s a better option and would give the killer a sense of urgency that would feel more fair than letting a survivor pick themselves up.

It's impossible to bring perks to counter everything players don't like. If you could pick yourself up multiple times it would be too much but a single use version wouldn't have been bad.
Survivors aren’t supposed to be able to counter every thing a killer can do one for one. Killer is supposed to have an advantage. Choosing which perks you equip isn’t supposed to be easy. You have to put thought into what you think is more important to use in order to counter things the killer may use or do. If someone chooses something over Unbreakable, then that tells me getting Slugged isn’t that much of a problem.
Also, survivors are a team. They can compensate for not having certain perks by working together. You don’t have to bring in a healing perk to heal each other and you don’t have to bring in Unbreakable if you don’t group up and let the killer slug you all at the same time.
The game shouldn’t punish killers for playing well.

You're using perfect scenarios for your argument, which rarely happen in solo que and are more likely to happen in SWF groups particularly with looping killers. I know your response to that is "everyone should just get better" but I know that is not going to happen and killers will continue to abuse slugging because they know everyone isn't going to use self pickup perks. Being left in the dying state for long periods of time has been something talked about here and within the community of the game for years. I'm not asking for the ability of being able to unconditionally pick myself up from the dying state. In fact if you read my posts here about this subject you'll see I argue the exact opposite and think that the situation should be conditional. I'm completely aware that there are situations where the killer leaving a downed survivor on the ground for a few moments makes sense. If you down a survivor and see another nearby then it makes sense. However to leave a survivor in the dying state for prolonged periods of time, especially for full bleed outs, is not necessary and in my opinion is completely toxic. If you equate that to "having my hand held" then you and I have completely different perspectives on what equates to fun and fairness in this game.
If the killer knows they have no more than a minute to hook a downed survivor then the issue of slugging would be over. The power difference between the killer and survivors is bigger than you think. Survivors have to deal with repairing generators, unhooking, healing each other and often times worry about hex totems all while avoiding the killer. The killer doesn't suffer from the same down time survivors do. Our time to recover works in the killer's advantage because for every second we have to deal with everything that doesn't involve repairing a generator is a second the killer gains to find someone and reset all or a lot of our recovery progress. Leaving downed survivors for prolonged periods of time crosses the line of fairness when survivors already have to spend half their time recovering from injuries and unhooks.
Also just to be clear, this isn't as much of a problem when only 1 survivor is down and 3 others are still in the match. It becomes a problem when 2 or more are down and the killer simply refuses to hook them. It plays too much in the killer's favor, especially when killers get addons that are so powerful they could be considered an extra power like instant down addons. All I want is for killers to focus on the hook objective more than relying on slugging. Being downed and unable to do anything but sit there bored out of your mind is something survivors shouldn't have to deal with under any circumstance.
I am not using "Perfect Scenarios", I am using logical ones.
Solo queues problem isn't with killers or the tactics they use, it has to do with terrible matchmaking and terrible teammates or just teammates who don't have the same goals in the match as the rest of the team.
A total of 4 minutes isn't a period of long time. If you can't handle it use the counters that the game provides. If Solo Queue is too hard, make some friends with a similar mindset, that's what the option is there for.
Plenty of things have been talked about for years, doesn't mean the complaint's are correct or that anything needs to be done. You or anyone not liking something doesn't mean it is inherently bad, especially since the devs have provided counters.
You don't need a conditional way to pick yourself up. Unbreakable is a perk because it is a very powerful ability that can snowball the match towards the survivors victory. You just want a base-kit way to punish the killer for playing in a way you don't like without having to give up a precious perk slot, yet expect the killers to have to come in with builds dedicated to counter anything they don't like that survivors may do, like rush gens or use strong loops on strong maps like Garden of Joy or Borgo.
There is no issue with slugging other than survivor entitlement, trying to whine and whine until the devs cave in order to force the killer to play in a way they want them to, yet will never ever consider how they themselves play might not be fun for the killer.
Even if it's only 2 people left, you don't like being slugged? Bring in the appropriate perk, crawl away from the killer (use tenacity) and get picked up in a safe place, don't be the one that gets found first. You don't deserve a base-kit way to pick yourself up. You don't deserve a reward for losing.
If you are downed and unable to do something, that is your fault. Come prepared.
Killers find getting looped around the same loop over and over, only to be led to the next strong loop and then into the shack and to another loop extremely boring. Should the devs remove 50% of the pallets and vaults? It's boring for them, so the devs should hold their hands and not expect them to come equipped or get better, kinda like how you don't want to get better or come prepared.

No no you got it all wrong.....it's all a out the Survivor's fun and not the Killer's..... remember the Killers are the Survivor's punching bags for many Survivors out there....
Heck I even saw someone say that if they want to have fun they will just group up with their 3 friends and run a Head-on and flashlight/flash bang combo....and yet they said they were not a bully squad.
You are correct. That's what most survivor mains want. Doesn't mean they're going to get it. It used to be much worse for killers but the devs wizened up and made it harder for survivors to do their bullying. They had to because the queue times were skyrocketing since killer mains no longer wanted to play a game where the deck was completely stacked against them.

I'm not greedy with other perks. I see certain situations in this game as detrimental to its fun and overall experience that should not have to rely on the use of perks to deal with. And yes I am being forced to run the perks you mentioned if you say that is my answer to dealing with this problem. There is no reason for the killer to leave a downed survivor on the ground for more than a minute and even that is pushing it in my opinion. It wouldn't be fair if survivors could leave a generator and have it continue to be repaired would it? Then why should killers who refuse to hook survivors be rewarded for playing this way? "Get better at looping" is not the answer to this. If after 7 years most survivors can't loop a killer for half the match then its never going to be the norm.
That is the game in a nutshell. Perks to counter things you don't like. It's the same for both sides.
You can't compare being slugged to a generator getting completed on it's own. It's rather ignorant. The killer already takes a risk that you will either be equipped to get up on your own with a perk or smart enough to spread out and get picked up in a safe location.
If you're down for more than a minute, that is your and your teams fault. You deserve to be punished, not have your hand held and given yet another chance (after all the chances the game already gives survivors) to win the match.
Get better at looping is one of the many answers to this. If you can't waste enough of the killers time in order to let your teammates get picked up, that is a you problem, not the game. No one is asking you to loop the killer for half the match. If it takes your team half the match to get up, your team deserves to loose.
You can't always have fun when you're losing. Not everything in a video game needs to be fun. The game just needs to provide "just enough" fun to keep you playing. It is impossible to make every aspect of a game like this to be a fun experience.

Four minutes on the ground doing jack is perfectly healthy gameplay, got it. FFS.
Then ask the devs to speed up the bleed out time.
Or don't group up.
Bring in Unbreakable, No Mither or Soul Guard.
Equip Tenacious so you can get away from the killer and reach a survivor who isn't slugged in a safe place.

No. If the killer ignores the hook objective they should be punished for it. It shouldn't work in their favor for leaving everyone on the ground. Ignoring the hooks should never become a strategy for killers. All they would do is hunt down all 4 survivors until they are all down and go afk until they bleed out.
The survivors should be punished for not looping well and grouping up rather than splitting apart. They should also be punished for not coming in equipped with the counters for a play style they don't enjoy, just like killers are expected to come equipped to counter survivors doing gens as fast as possible and using strong loops. Survivors do not deserve their hand held when they perform poorly.

Its called not having to force every survivor to run the same perk loadout forever to deal with something that shouldn't be happening.
I run Unbreakable in every match and I maybe have a chance to use it once out of every ten matches.
You're not forced to run anything, just don't complain about not being able to counter it because you're too greedy with other perks.
Slugging should be happening. It's a sign that the killer is playing well, by applying pressure on multiple survivors. You have enough ways to deal with it, one of which is to get good at looping so the killer doesn't down you, buying time for your teammates to get up.

I mean, it wasnt "basekit unbreakable" to begin with. It was like 40 seconds to pick yourself up, which is quite a lot. As long as the Killer did not want to slug multiple Survivors, they should not have noticed it anyway.
And if the Finishing Mori is still coming as planned (or somewhat as planned), there needs to be something to counter slugging.
Potato/po-tah-toe, it literally did the same thing Unbreakable did, which is allowed one to get back up.
The game already has enough counters for slugging, all a survivor has to do is equip one of them.

I didnt like basekit unbreakable idea but there needs to be something done about slugging for the 4k
Only thing that needs to be done is for the game to detect if anyone has a way to get up on their own and if not, speed up the bleed out time. Maybe give the survivors an option to concede the match when all 4 are down.

We need something to deal with unnecessary slugging.
It's called Unbreakable, Soul Guard or No Mither.

Yep. Imagine having to pick up Survivors. Horrible.
Imagine having to not group together and play well or entering a match equipped to counter a play style one dislikes. Disgusting!

206,000.
They haven’t released any nice cosmetics for Claudette in a while. Everything they do release for her is hard to mix and match, preventing me from wanting to buy anything.
Non of the killers available for shards seem worth it to me. Skull Merchant doesn’t look fun, Knight seems fun but gimmicky (to me anyways) and while the upcoming killer looks cute, nothing in his kit really stands out to make me want to play him. Myers is really all I need.

Rather than deleting perks, I'd be up for a one day a week game mode where you can only bring in one perk or two perks at most. See how the game play would feel with more basic builds.

On that last bit, I can confirm that Claudette's outfit design was not taken from one of the past cosmetic contests. Only a select few people at BHVR see the entries, and even fewer see the finalists. Outside of the winners, which are posted publicly, we do not share the other entries with anyone, including the DBD Mobile team which is a separate team outside of BHVR.
Of course if the artist chose to post their entry publicly, there's no telling who may have seen it. But given that frog kigurumis are a real thing and have been around much longer than the cosmetic contests, I would assume it's much more likely that the outfit was inspired by the dozens of real world counterparts. If I recall correctly, this outfit has far more in common with those real world versions than the design you're thinking of.
For context, we've received thousands of designs over the years. When new outfits are designed so frequently between two separate teams, it's inevitable that there will be some similarities to past entries. But I can confidently say that the vast majority of submissions do not even make it past the first stage of judging, and the designs that are not selected as the winner are not stored or shared with the art teams for either game.
Thank you for clearing that up. I was just excited to see it (being obsessed with Claudette and all <.<). I should have known better and honestly, I should have used the word Used or borrowed rather than accuse anyone of anything unsavory. I also didn't know that about the frog kigurumis, thank you for enlightening me.
While I don't deserve it, I do implore you to get the art team to introduce one for Claud! It should have a custom animation of her hopping around when crouching repeatedly rather than the t-bag animation. I'll pay big bucks for it.

Because they’re different companies. BHVR doesn’t work on the Mobile version of the game.
It doesn’t excuse how slow they are to give more cosmetics for more characters though. Part of the fun in playing video games is customizing my character.
Also, did they steal that Froguette design from an earlier community Artist entry?

I really don’t see many Nurses, Blights, Spirits or Artists anymore. If I see any of them, it’s maybe 1 out of 20 matches, if not less than that. Billy is close to them in rarity too. I see more Demodoggies more than I see the aforementioned killers.
I see lots of NemNems, Hunty Mommies, Whiskers, Ghostie Bois, Knights, Mr Baldies with a sprinkling of Wraiths here and there.

"Unless Solo Q has an unbelievably low escape rate that drags down the average to 39%"
Is Solo Q rocking a 10% escape rate and SWF a 69% escape rate?
Because the data we've been shown hasn't supported the notion that Survivor is OP.
The Devs haven’t revealed that information, have they? So we don’t really know.
Even if they did, they’d have to distinguish whether or the the players in the SWF were casual or if they were going all out and using the strongest things they can.
You can argue that a only a small percentage of SWF may be broke but because that percentage is so small, it’s not a pressing issue, and I’d counter with that same reasoning with Blight and Nurse, especially since the Devs did release their specific kill rates showing that, in general, they’re fine.
