Wasn't Felix Blight's son? Also Felix himself had an unborn baby.

Where did you get that from? Talbot grimes wasn't german. And was from like the 1800s. Felix's father was member of a secret society trying to combat the entity.

  • I mean we have a scarecow skin for hillbilly anyway. Tbh I'd love to see a werewolf killer. Maybe with 2 forms, perhaps a mechanic similar to Oni's.

  • *laughs in demogorgon*

Fr mainly play demo, ghostie and then whoever I have on daily rituals.

Would love to see wesker get killswitched just so i get to play against different killers for a change. Hate playing against dredge so seeing him get killswitched is also fine

  • Totally agree. Both awful maps. Swamp is just awful for killers (can't believe eyrie was the one killer mains complained about most) and midwich is just an awful map for everyone. Too small, floors hard to switch between and hook spawns are hot garbage.

  • Weird flex maybe bring plunderer's instinct. I find purple/red keys fairly frequently using that perk. Then you can stash it somewhere the killer won't check (basement) and go grab it during end game if killer shuts hatch.

  • Killer definitely demo (in case you couldn't tell by my profile pic) He's the reason I brought the game. Spent ages trying to find a physical copy of the nightmare edition for xbox so I could still use him since I only started in august. His playstyle is so cool and he's very balanced, requires real skill to use effectively. Wish I could buy some cosmetics for him tho. 🙃

Survivor used to like kate, steve and david but I've settled on jeff. As a fellow metalhead and doglover he's very relatable. Plus he has some dope outfits, and is a very wholesome character.

  • @Deathstroke said:

Make Oni start with his power this will only make him viable agains't good survivor but will not affect middle or low skill survivors as agains't them you get hit anyway. The power can disable once you down first survivor so good Oni will not down entire team which rarely happens anyway.

No way that should be basekit. Too strong with lethal pursuer. Maybe as an iridescent addon. Tbh oni is good, he just requires skill to use effectively. Similar to demo, hard tonuse but very powerful when used right.

  • Yh i find me and my team don't get gens finished very often. Most of my escapes tend to be hatch or the odd farming game.

It's one of the things I kind of dislike about dbd. Matches are always very onesided, either gens get finished quick and 4/3 escape. Or gens don't get finished and survs get shredded with maybe one slipping out via hatch. Reckon survs should get a buff when first surv dies if there's 3 or more gens left.

  • She was having a sleepover with ada. You could find it somehere on the internet I'd imagine.

  • Tbh trapper's pretyy good at it. Did one last night on eyrie when I was getting genrushed. Had every single trap set up around the 3 gens in the corner 🤣

Definitely revising my earlier opinion after that game. Some 3 gens are impossible lol.

It was a 0.5 second dash that gave a few meter additional distance to emulate "dodging an attack" plus the still remaining invincibility frames during it.

But at some point it wasn't used to dodge a hit but simply to gain the free distance to make one more loop or reach a window or similar. This was also done outside of the killers reach, the "dead hard for distance".

Killer that weren't dash or projectile killers couldn't do ANYTHING against it.

It also made the survivor lose collision so the could try to dash through the killer, to more or less success depending on the experience of the killer player, and they could dash THROUGH trapper traps.

Wow that sounds insane. And people complain about it now 🤣 must've been awful before.

  • I'd go with vulnerable. Expised does sound like a locating effect rather than a one hit down.

  • Adepts have been buggy ever since they changed them 😑

AND DCs will ruin your adept, which is hugely unfair.

  • Personally I feel like an M1 killer is one who's power can't help them during a chase.

Trapper for example, yes you can set a trap on a pallet midchase but the surv will either run for distance or pallet stun you. So you end up shift W and M1 to down a lot of survs. So personally I think trapper is an M1 boi.

If the power can keep survs perma injured then I don't feel like that is M1, chases against a wounded survivor are so much shorter because they have no 2nd chance (unless they run DH) so I'd consider plague and legion not to be M1 killers.

It's probably why I like playing stealth killers. Ghosty and a stealth build demo are my 2 fave killers to play because I can bypass the chase mechanic.

  • It easy to do accidentally. I have this issue even when playing with my swf. In solo q you have no chance.

  • @Skill_issue said:

i know it was opressive but honestly the current dead hard allows them to get to pallets/windows anyways, tank the hit, and then get a sprint burst afterwards. either way you still have to sniff the survivors butt before you swing.

at least with the old dead hard killers could use their secondary attacks (tricksters knives, huntress hatchts, victors pounce, demos shred, etc. and recover to launch another ranged attack) trickster gets hurt worse because it just resets the laceration meter and victor didn't get kicked after whiffing through a dead hard unlike the current version).

killers who used exposed perks could wait it out and hit them after the recovery now they just tank the hit and run off while gaining knowledge of what killer perks are in play (noed, haunted grounds, make your choice, devour hope, etc.)

    Thoughts and opinions?

Question. I've only been playing since august. How did old dead hard work?

  • Win streaks aside probably running chase. Killer roll I find fairly easy, even sweaty swfs I feel comfortable combating. My killer record is pretty decent (or would be if i didn't tend to deliberately release one or two survs most games)

Surv on the other hand, running a good chase requires a lot of skill, quick reactions and map knowledge. I know the basics have run good, long chases before. But more often than not I get wrecked in chase, I can't loop to save my life and I'm not very good at vault mind games. I've got mad respect for survs who run chase well consistently. You know the ones, those survs who always manage to hit that vault so you miss by a fraction.

not necessarily, the mods will often delete a comment that's on the line or if it's quoting someone that's broken the rules..without notifying the user, there's simply not enough time for the mods to notify everyone of a comment that's been deleted. We rely on users to be understanding and to consider why their comment was deleted in the context of our forum rules.

the automated system removes things if it thinks it's spam. this can be caused by new accounts posting rapidly.

mods remove confrontational posts and posts with leaks. leaks should be obvious, but posts that are confrontational might be harder to identify and subject to opinions.

comments that are abusive are also removed.

sometimes a post gets moved and it messes with the responses

    things like that.

It's weird. Usually if a post gets deleted on a forum there's still evidence it was there, and you usually get mods messaging you warning about breaking the rules.

The comment of mine that got removed wasn't anything I'd have expected to be against forum rules, confrontational or anything.

Wesker isn't an original character and isn't sexualised in DBD. This whole chapter screams "buy us cause we're hot" and not "buy us because we're fun and unique". You can have both, but this ain't it. Even Thalita and Renato's cosmetics are "please look at all the skin we're showing"

Lol idk a LOT of the playerbase sexualise him. Besides there are plenty of revealing skins for other characters. Swimsuits, bare chests. I don't see why this chapter is any worse than normal.

Since it's a newer feature, I would imagine they're still doing behind the scenes testing and analysis to figure out if this bridged the gap enough. There will never be a perfect bridge unless they add voice chat which they seem to be against and honestly I'm with them on this one. Never add voice chat to dbd.

If that happens, what's your plan to prevent the already heavily killer-sided solo queue from becoming a wasteland?

And "voice comms" are not the answer. If you ever played an online game with voice comms, you know exactly why.

Idk why people are so against voice comms. Pretty much every multiplayer game has it. Sure toxicity/annoying people are always a thing, but that's what mute buttons are for. Easy to use. And that's only if you can't simply get someone to stop, treat people respectfully and they'll usually do the same. Doesn't work everytime for sure and in that case you mute the offender. Simple

And with dbd it could bridge the gap somewhat between solo q and swf. Currently SWFs dominate and solo q games are killersided. If the playing ground was equal devs could balance around voice comms after seeing the change in kill rates. Make for a more enjoyable game all round with the only issue being you have to mute the occasional troll or screeching 12 year old.

  • Idk either. Devs knew about it before the adept/rating change update but clearly didn't care.

  • Players horny for men got daddy wesker.

No reason why players horny for women shouldn't get something too.

Tbh I'm surprised wesker hasn't had a topless cosmetic yet 🤣

  • His backstory text does seem to suggest it. Which is cool, adds a bit of character depth.

There's nothing wrong with expecting better. They've come out with 2 pretty sub par chapters in a row. They're ignoring a lot of the older killers that could do with rebalancing. The game could do with a myriad of improvements and QoL stuff.

People are going to ask for changes they want to see. That's kind of the point pf the forum.

Imo most of the stuff we ask for simply won't happen because the focus is (and kind of has to be) about making money. Most of the effort goes into churning out a new chapter every 4 months. Because that's what keeps the money rolling in.

Creating one for dh right now, one for camping/tunneling/slugging in the long term and then one for the flavor of the month hated perks?

That would be amusing to look through 😂

Like looking deep into a bucket of sewage I'd imagine 🤣

  • I agree. I actually asked about it before on here just before the adept achievement changes were made. And a dev confirmed a DC would not count as a kill and therefore ruin an adept.

I said that didn't seem fair and they didn't reply 🤷‍♂️

  • Probably never unfortunately.

Bhvr are neglecting a lot of the older low profile killers. And don't seem interested in going back to them to balance them.

Deathslinger, freddy, twins. All virtually unplayable against a half way decent team at the moment.

But bhvr have made their money from them amd see no profit in improving them so i guess we're stuck.

Toxicity would be present. Like in every game ever, but as long as they add an easy to access mute then everything is gucci.

  • So.

    He won.

And was also against, presumably, some of the best survivors in the game.

I fail to see why perks should be balanced around the top 0.01% of players.

Sure the best survivors in the game can nail DH on the regular. And still get 4kd.

But 99% of survs can't hit DH that consistently.

I mean come on. This is tournament level play. If only one play uses DH you know that they will give it to the player who is insanely good with it.

When people complain about DH they make it sound like it ruins every game.

  • Knight is kinda weak though. You can beat the guards just by holding W.

Can't do the wraith one because that involves dismemberment

Remember, the most dismemberment they are allowed to do is a single finger

Also, trapper'a would just be a copy paste from huntress then. We already have a copy pasted mori with skull merchant, we don't need any more

Buuut I suppose if it's to the side and not the forehead it would be different enough

Yh didn't mean wraith actually popping their head. Plus they have a mori dismembering the tongue as well.

Tbf trapper you can only do so much with a machete, but maybe use a bear trap to execute as other ppl have suggested. That'd be cool.

  • Because that's exactly how this post comes off. Sometimes it is simply a skill issue. I used to 4k all the time on old eyrie. I don't really have a map as killer that I have a real issue with. I perform well on all of them. Depends a bit on the killer and my build. But none of the maps feel disadvantageous to me when I play killer.

The perk is broken, not so easy to "bait it out" as you suggest, some situations any killer will get burned by it.

Very rarely. I play killer a fair bit. And I'm not that "experienced" a player according to a lot of forumer on here. I probably have 250 hours on killer.

And I deal with DH just fine. To use DH effectively you have to predict almost exactly when the killer will hit you. And most players will either run at you, or wait for you to lunge. Holding off for 1 second will let you see the surv dab then you smack them. Sure extremely good players will use it at pallets or vaults. But they still get stuck in an animation and there is a gap between the dab and being able to drop a pallet. People who can use it tonthat degree are few and far between. I drop prestige 80+ players with over 100 days play time.

As killer you simply need to have the discipline to not swing at the first possible second. Be less thirsty for the hit and you'll find you start to encounter it a lot

-"And the fact that everyone is ready to call a 10% regression + 12 sec aura reveal a worthless perk, just shows how much you all just rely on game delay instead of actually making plays."

I expect you to laugh in my face if I said deja vu was a good perk and you should use it. There is no way I can get any value out of the rework of the eruption perk (which originally was going to be 10% regression of current progress).

The current version of the perk gives forces a survivor to stop working on a generator and keeps them from doing anything for 25 seconds. The rework should have just made the generator regress for 30 seconds and nobody can work on the affected generators.

You just pressure a different generator (said in the same tone I imagine everyone saying : you just bait the DH).

I almost never use eruption. But the majority of people I play against use DH.

-"Pop and jolt encourage chases and progressing the game."

Pop is beyond dead and almost nobody is using it because most of the time you're getting 5 seconds of regression or less (when you factor in how long it takes to kick the generator). This perk used to give you 20 seconds every time you used it. Would anyone still use Sprint Burst if instead of getting 150% speed for 3 seconds you only get a speed burst for 0.75 seconds? I think not.

For Jolt to be a valuable perk it needs to apply any kick perk you have (that does not require a cooldown) to the effective generator. Actually let's talk about regression speeds. Killer regression without a kick perk should be equal to a single survivor if four people are alive. The fact that it is not is a reflection of poor design and shows just how out of touch the developers are with their game. Whenever anyone dies just cut the regression by half. That means with 3 people alive it would be double the current speed and with 4 people alive it would be four times faster than the current speed.

Jolt does literally nothing if :

    1. the map is large
    2. The survivors run early because they are in a SWF or they are paying attention to the hud and the terror radius. Shift W is a huge contributing factor as to why why there are only 2 viable killers in the game.

If CoH got a nerf on the level that Eruption was getting then killers would be destroying any boon with no perk just by kicking it. Likewise if hex perks were buffed to boon levels then they could be rekindled indefinitely and instantly (just like a pentimento interaction) unless every dull totem on the map had already been broken.

Boons would be balanced if you had people desperately cleansing totems all the time for fear of the killer always using Blood Favour. And that's exactly what would happen if that change went live. Overnight every killer would be using Blood Favour because it would be reactivated over and over again until every boon on the map had been destroyed.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3362435#Comment_3362435

-"Baiting DH out requires literally one second. A killer wise to DH won't get burned by it."

If you're at a pallet and you have DH then I can't counter any play you make. That's broken.

You can also watch killers like Otz wait 3-5 seconds against very good players and they still have not used the DH. You're spouting some false rhetoric that is only viable when survivors do not play the game well.

Hardly, at a pallet it's not going to be a sure thing, the timing required to pull off a play like that is insanely tight. So many players on this forum seem to have a top down mentality. Just because the absolute best players in the game make effective use of it means a perk is broken?

You're basing an opinion on the top 1% of players and that isn't a healthy way to base game balance. If I can bait out DH, from players who have over 100 days solid playtime, on the regular. When I have only been playing since august last year then it can't be "broken"

It's a good perk to be sure. The absolute top players make damn good use of it. But it is by no means unbeatable. It is counterable. It requires skill and fine timing to use. If new survs were out playing experienced killers on the regular because of it then yes it would be broken. But they don't, and it isn't.

  • @MasonOliver123 said:

Everyone else is having their say, so will I.

As we all know by now, dead hard is a very broken survivor perk, I do play both sides I choose to run SB rather than DH.

The main issue with DH is the potential to extend a chase, even when the survivor makes a mistake, significantly.

I've had a very good amount of games where a survivor, out of position, uses dead hard and extends a chase by an extra minute.

You might ask - why not bait it out? Why not leave chase?

Well, baiting it out "waiting for it" is pointless, the survivor can use this time to get to a pallet in which they guarantee safety and leaving chase simply is a massive waste of time and leaving them would simply allow them to heal up and do it all again.

Another main issue I have with it that some seem to forget is this game is 4 v 1, if all 4 survivors, of equal skill, use dead hard and know how to loop you can extend a chase by a minute at least, if all 4 survivors do that, that's an extra 4 minutes wasted by then most gens will be done.

One perk should not have this sole power, especially when 4 people can use it against you, I'd certainly like to see it changed, to anything. the 3rd health state on a perk is ridiculous, even if it was changed to a one time usage (Like DS) it'd be much better.

Baiting DH out requires literally one second. A killer wise to DH won't get burned by it.

Idk why people keep claiming this perk is broken. It's abused by high mmr players but so are loops, flashlights, bodyblocking and sabotage plays.

Even a prestige 100 players can't get an easy dead hard if killer counterplays it and I'd know because I bait it out all the time when I play killer and I frequently thrash players with much more experience than me. Sure it's punishing when you get caught out, and they can occasionally force catch 22s on the odd pallet but the timing required is insanely tight. At the end of the day it's a skill issue. Not a broken perk.

  • Hehe "vent" i see what you did there.

In all seriousness though hatch challenges do really suck. It's a nice backup mechanic but explicitly needing to escape via hatch requires you to either throw the game or risk it all during the EGC. Which given most survs habit of sitting in the exit gates to teabag the killer makes that risk all the worse.

  • Just keep grinding at it. Once you have the tactics down, bully squads are pretty easy to take apart. They make risky plays and you can punish them for it, especially if they try to do bodyblocking plays. Just slug em and get multiple downs and make sure you face walls to avoid those flashlights, or run lightborn. And while they are bullying you they aren't doing gens. I usually 4k bully squads fairly easily now.

My main issue is when I get a 4 man SWF who gen rush and are individually very good at juicing time out of chases. Those games are much harder. Gotta try and force 3 gen early on and abuse those regression perks.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/366759/update-mori-animations-for-trapper-and-wraith

I feel like the end game mori thing is their first step to making cosmetic moris. So you can buy new mori animations in the store. First they need to build them into the main game. I think their original idea was too complicated. They should just make the yellow mori basekit and make it so when all the survivors are downed/hooked, that all the hooked survivors go through their hook states instantly as if every survivor was on the hook does now.

Then, once they become more common, they can start selling new animations.

Ugh, tbh since we've heard nothing about it I was hopeful that they were shelving that change. Not a fan of an auto mori when you down the last surv. I like letting players go, and I'll often down last surv and let them wiggle out so they know I'm being friendly. But custom moris is definitely a fun idea.

I feel that way sometimes but part of it has to be that you only remember the bad games not the good ones. Because I also have games were I dominate as killer and I do win most my games but I do sweat a lot. Recently though on survivor killers just tunnel first survivor they hook or at least try that at 4-5 gens left so obviously most of these games end as easy win for killers. Probably that's why they do it but I just hope games that both sides has equal chance. I think it's bit unneccary to tunnel agains't soloQ survivors who play casually. I myself try to identifyi if I need to tunnel or not as killer.

Im same as killer. You have control of the game in that roll. I only tend to tunnel if survs genrush or one annoys me in particular. But as surv if killer decides to tunnel you there's only so much you can do. Especially if you aren't a great chase runner.

  • Personally I'd like to see more addons designed to alter the killer's power. Like dream pallets, or doctors add ons. Or ones designed to synergise well like demos whistle and stickey lining, or knights addons for getting one guard more and giving you a bonus for that guard.

Ones that mitigate the killers weakness are good too for newer players. But I'd like to see the useless ones removed. I mean debuff and bp bonus is a cool idea. But some of the add ons are straight garbage with no benefit or have such a negligible benefit they'll just stack up in your inventory. Looking at you deer lungs

Some of the iri add ons definitely need a solid nerf. As a demo main I freely admit that demo's iri add ons are an utterly busted combo. I only run them when I've lost my temper with the game and have been getting beaten and trolled for hours because it's basically a free win with little effort and I can bring some pain against even dedicated squads with that build. Iri hatchet, alchemists ring the tombstone. All of them are amazingly frustrating to come up against. (Like seriously why is tombstone a thing? No one enjoys it. That achievement is such an unpleasant slog because survs hate playing against it and will just jump in lockers to deny the achievement)

  • Depending where you are sometimes the mori camera will get stuck in the wall. If imma mori someone I wanna see it. Plus sometimes survs like to meme and watch/photobomb the mori.

Windows of Opportunity helps a lot. I run that 100% of the time. (No Exhaustion perk.) I'm not great at chases, but I'm not the worst. Killers will sometimes just ditch me mid-chase. The problem is, they pick it back up soon after because, again, I'm practically the only survivor they ever see.

The thing that really ticks me off is the many matches I've had where the killer chases me off gens, kills me, then finds the other survivors and rather than kill them tells them to do gens and lets them escape. Why should survivors ever participate if they're rewarded for hiding until their teammates die? That happens annoyingly often, and the ridiculous thing is that sometimes the killer gives up and kills them anyway because they continue to hide and/or run aimlessly rather than work on gens.

That's right, killers, matches don't end on their own when you kill the only survivor or two actually touching gens. How do they not notice that gens aren't popping during those long ass chases??

Sorry, I'm ranting. During the community event, I played a bunch of survivor and freaking gave up on it and started memeing as killer because I was reminded how goddamn awful survivor is.

Yh i always run windows. DH. Distortion. I just haven't been able to juice good time in chase against any killers except obviously baby killers.

  • This is why I've totally given up grinding rank.

I hit iri 1 on both roles in one month and I decided I was done. Its was mad stressful and all it gets you is some BP.

Game is much more fun if you just aim to enjoy it rather than sweat for ranks.

1 … 31 32 33 34 35 … 58
