yeah, it is fun for the one who is toxic. you know, 9 of 10 people have no problems with bullying... FUNNY EH?
also, ask yourself why social media spawned a word like shitstorm but there is no word like lovestorm. at least, it is not as omnipresent as the negative version. toxicity is the same, it is just how humans are, especially when they feel untouchable
I like your deep analysis, it is true humans are now kinda toxic in society therefore it is translated into the game :)
Facing toxic survivors is way more fun cuz they are more challenging and have more funny interactions, I am sure I am not alone

No, I expect people to play with good sportsmanship and not insult others in the post-game chat (and not play scummy either).
well these are 2 different things:
- Playing toxic style is fun; you are free since DBD is about being a killer you are meant to act harsh and it makes DBD pretty unique
- Insulting is an universal unacceptable behavior regardless the game, so you can report these abusers
Sportmanship is ok for streamers and championships but for chilling and having laughers it is great being toxic killer/surv, in fact, playing with such sportmanship is so boring; you are pretty much working more than playing, repeating everything like a robot meh....

They’ve previously mentioned that the perk presents them a bit of a conundrum. They’re really unsure what to with the perk without making it broken or encourage camping.
Righto, and they are taking over 4 years to make up their mind

I think it is well balanced that sometimes the loops are too short or sometimes a bit OP
Looping is the hardest part of DBD to master and sometimes it is better to give up instead of following a pro looper
DBD devs are improving from time to time the looping paths that are too OP, props to them on that!

They've refused to acknowledge its existence for over 4 years (since the game came out) despite it being the worst killer perk and being much worse than many other killer perks they later buffed. I'd say the chance is about as high as getting a basement kobe with the killer having this perk (but we don't really know if it's a literal 15% or 15% of 4%)
yeah over 4yrs unhearing the community and they punish us with bans when we complain too loud
in this game the figure of product owner with surely less than 1k hours is the one that makes the unsolicited changes in perks and unhear us

Guilty until proven innocent then? Seems like a system with no drawbacks if you ask me. Guess I just can't play the game anymore!
well it could be implemented a subsystem to control if there was a crash and determine it was unintentional but I doubt its in their TODO list

I honestly don't know what else to put here other than just this. Because holy #########, I'm locked out for over an hour, and 30 minutes before that, and 15 before that. I don't DC often. But I have a potato computer that crashes every now and then on certain maps. So what am I supposed to do? DC on those maps? Oh wait, I can't. I just want to play the game. If your systems are intelligent enough to let me send a crash report why the flying ######### do I still get penalized for it?
Are people with bad setups just not allowed to play anymore?
because it is impossible to demonstrate that it was unintentional

I like to check their streamings after a match so I can download the video and upload my facecampings in my channel

Just played a match where the killer was not hooking survivors when there were available hooks. He would pick up the survivor and take them to a corner of the map (farm) and would have them wiggle out in the corner where there were no pallets, windows, etc., and he would be able to down them within seconds of wiggling out. And he repeated this process probably 20+ between 4 different survivors.
In the post game lobby, I just said "I hope you're proud of yourself" and "now I understand why so many people hate this community". His reasoning for doing it was 2 of us had DS. He proceeded to say how it's sad that we can't win without having to use perks like DS. (Mind you, he was using ruin, undying, thanataphobia, and BBQ - LOL).
Part of my rant is, it really bothers me that people who play like this never get any consequences, but someone will get banned for saying something stupid in post game chat.
It helps to relieve stress and shows who is the boss there. Maybe you should get more looping skills?
I strongly recommend Uncharted's videos to GITGUD at looping, this aussie guy practices 8hours a day in live streaming:

there is black market of stolen accounts that use cheaters unrespectfully and eventually got banned massively
as far as I know the anti-cheating engine received a major update that is complicating the injection of code, so there are less hackers

lol yeah so predictable to be a bug instead of free skins given away

I was playing my third ever games as Demogorgan and I was griefed so hard I went toxic.
The entire game they blinded me nonstop. 4 purple flashlights with extra batteries. I could barely do anything and I was getting so upset that I finally gave up on having fun and just downed them. Over and over and over. No hooks. No nothing, I must have done it for a good 3-4 minutes until they all disconnected then I hooked the last person.
I feel terrible for it. I really shouldn't have done it and I feel gross for being part of the toxic problem. I had sworn I wouldn't be like that but it just made me so incredibly annoyed. I get how people get so toxic in this game now, toxicity really really spreads so easily.
playing that way is the funniest way, no need to feel guilty

It's a fictional character with certain characteristics, no different from Harry Potter or Gimli. Saying she's "a bunch of millions of polygons" completely ignores how fiction works.
I understand how the abstract fantasy works but arguing and spending energy about the sexuality n such is useless, although you give a lot of importance to the gender identity since defined urself as bisex

Anywho, I look forward to her rift cause I feel her lore will be the day to celebrate. ❤️

You escaped which is awesome. If you wanna teabag and be an overall sore-winner, I really couldn't care less. Honestly if you're playing SWF and teabagging after gen-rushing and the likes ...well...I'm at least glad you are all having fun. I don't even mind letting you heal at the gates for those extra points.
But flashing flashlights at me (ESPECIALLY more than 1 person doing it at once) can trigger seizures in me. I don't get them too often but it's still a risk.
Heck, just don't do it with me - I'm only ever Mikey or Doctor.

From pro facecamper to you:
- Do you facecamp from 1st hook to death every single survivor if possible or just a few randomly?
- Do you do the tornado before hooking (if not you should), if yes how many spins at average?
- Do you torture facecamped hooked surv with single hits or M2? how often?
- Do you nod your head to hooked facecamped survs?
- How do you deal with survs trying to deal with facecamped surv? M2 always or try to perform a CATCH?
- Do you enjoy the end chat haters or leave it fast?
I think thats all, thanks

In the face of the recent trend of criticising certain practices and people, I think there are things that need to be cleared up a little.
It saddens me to see so many users penalised and posts removed. It appears that many people fall for a misconception regarding the way things are operated.
Please, don´t assume that everyone is subject to the same rules and standards. We as customers are just guests here in the forum, for example.
Some are free to break the rules of DBD. They are also free to act in a toxic way, to hurt others and to get them banned, unpenalised as they please. There is nothing you can do about it. You may dislike it, but you may not bring it up if you want to continue being part of the community.
Most of what has been brought up recently is already known by many people. All that is achieved by posts addressing certain issues is the poster getting banned. Some things have to be discussed elsewhere.
The forums have much more to offer. Personally I really enjoy being able to interact and exchange opinions with other community members. There´s great stuff to read here. People looking for help or advice usually get these in an impressively nice manner.
Please stop criticising the wrong people, it´s neither news nor will it change anything about the way things are. Let´s instead focus on productive or engaging things that are allowed, we are not entitled to fairness.
Just my 2 cents
DBD mods seem pretty talented politicians with skills to solve conflicts using beautiful words and reasonable-like arguments. This does not mean they are always right with a sole truth; it means they have great abilities to convince customers and accept the mods' actions.
I also believe mods are too easily triggered lately using way too firm hand showing a big ego and ban power, to abort possible revolutions among angry customers that sometimes frustrated, insult - in 2020 insults still exist to describe ideas as part of the freedom of speech.
What the customers don't like is the recurring issues not addressed. We want to have a pleasant gaming experience and we do not want an unnecessary war in the forums against the mods, perhaps both sides are more easy triggered nowadays due to the covid situation...

I was in a match with the additional goal of harvesting a flower. The killer caught me before I could find the flower but we past it on the way to the hook. After hooking me he backed up a little bit and then just stared at me. He was also standing very close to the flower. So there I am, hooked, face camped and looking at the flower I so very much want but can't get because I'm hooked.
I could have suicided since it seemed unlikely to end well. But in my opinion, that's dumb. If the killer is face camping me, he isn't stopping the other survivors. And if others try to rescue me, it can lead to interesting game play trying to get a difficult save.
Someone did try to save me. They were very hesitant once they saw the killer but didn't give up. They tested the killer several times, but the killer didn't react. Finally they just came for me and got me off the hook. We ran but I stopped a short distance and looked back. The killer still didn't move.
Thinking he might be AFK I circled around behind him and started harvesting the flower. I was very close to him, in the open, injured and grunting. Halfway through harvesting the killer started moving. The flower was my white wale, I wanted it so I didn't run. I just watched the killer look left and right, but never turn completely around to see me and take off running away from me.
I wondered how he didn't hear my grunts, but I got my flower. And I survived the match in the end. I suspect I may have successfully taken advantage of a bathroom break.
I don't understand why people give up. So often I see people DC as soon as they are downed, or refuse to struggle if they reach second phase first time hooked. It's not over yet. I find the games that started out poorly for me are the best wins.
its much self-explanatory if u record a video next time, and plz add TL;DR;
you can use FlashBack Express Recorder (free)

No. Only if the charm caused a REAL advantage in game such as +0,1% extra speed or a 5th perk slot, then I would fight for it.

I feel like many people exaggerate how horrible and common these two things are in the forums. Like seriously, almost every game to the point where you don't really want to play the game anymore? Yeah I find that hard to believe, but who knows? I might be wrong which is why I am posting this discussion. If possible, provide a possible reason as to why you were tunneled and/or camped.
I have been tunneled and camped pretty hardcore before for being considered "toxic" or just for literally no reason sometimes. However, it is usually 1/20 games for me. Usually if the killer tunnels me and I know that he/she will not stop I will use all the resources I need so that everyone else remaining can escape. If the killer camps, I stay on hook without struggling (because I have kindred) so that my team will know what is happening and they can finish the match and move on.
Not trying to start a war, just curious as to how common camping and tunneling are for you. Please include things like rank or playstyle such as being a rank 9-13 or tbagging a little bit (tbagging is ok IMO, just don't get upset with the consequences) along with flashlight saving.
I DO facecamp in every match for no reason, cuz it is toxic, easy/chilling and still have tons of funz

Hello. I would like to say something to the developers. We didn't get anything for Christmas last year. You don't have to create anything new, just give us a winter lobby, some lights on the hooks and barrels. Some christmas boxes in the bloodweb. Same stuff like previous years. Just to make people feel the christmas presence. I don't want to be as disappointed as last year. That's all I wanted to say. Have a nice day. 😘
they will give us a permanent 5th perk slot

Arguably it would make sense for you to be able to purchase a game and use it on whatever platform you wished, but things are more complicated than that. However, Stadia and Steam are not comparable to previous generation consoles and current generation consoles. Stadia is not an upgrade to Steam or your PC.
Arguably indeed, old machines losers are forced to move to Stadia and pay DBD twice because devs failed at optimizing the game!
-
@Orion said:
I'm guessing it's the fact that new consoles are being treated as hardware and software upgrades (finally), the same way you don't have to repurchase the game if you change your GPU or get a new OS on your PC.
it would make sense if they gave DBD for free in Stadia for Steam users

This is the first positive thing I've heard about stadia. It runs like crap for most people even with fiber internet and good pc specs. The fact that they want a subscription and for you to pay for the games is laughable
there is no sub needed, its free with non-4K game, I self-quote:

This is probably the most economically savvy thing to do. Like I use to think that stadium (or whatever) was for aged millennial hipsters clinging to their youth but that was me from the past.
Now with the world ending and all that it only makes sense for people to do this.
This thread was so thoughtful and considerate of you, if only more people cared for the welfare of the members of this community as you do.
You even remembered to include the console gamers, which are usually the afterthoughts of the community.
thanks, the real intention of this thread is comparing buying a new machine (minimum 600 bucks) vs 20 for regular Stadia game
and
enhance the acknowledgment of devs to OPTIMIZE the game for not needing to reach this extreme edge of purchasing twice DBD in Stadia

we have both opinions if Stadia lags or works smoothly, I guess it depends on your connection, ping, zone, devices connected, time...

Been a while (thankfully) since there's been a priviledge flexing topic, though, so I guess we were due.
