better yet.....just practice and get better. than you wont need any buffs
-
probably never. because its the only thing that really makes sense! and we all know how making sense doesnt usually equate to what gets done! but im in before the multitude of them comes to say its not needed and all that blah blah blah
-
This thread amounts to one thing, killer mains mostly happy it’s gone…..and the reality is such a small percentage use it now. I’m sure there’s a use for it but if you have any high ping it’s a perk that will never be used.
-
It’s pretty insane how stingy they truly are with bps, I’d bet the percentage of people with all max perks on all characters isn’t too high, and to top it off bloody party streamers are so rare, you see them 1/10 blood webs. I don’t understand their motives, they literally go out of their way to make the game as little fun as possible
-
Imagine if the killer actually breaks off the hooked person and chases another survivor that is trying to keep the hooked person alive, it’s almost like it’s a killer perk since he litterally knows he can just patrol the hook to find people to chase, the reality is killers seem to be mad they can’t just pull one person out of the game at their leisure without the other side being able to fight back. I guess you should consider leaving hooked survivors and actually play the game and chase people, I mean where’s the fun in just sitting by a survivor on a hook
-
Killers asking for ez mode again I see. Never ends

Because hook suicide is basically DC without any penalty at all? who gonna love broken, toxic and extremely unhealthy mechanics like that.
Nah.....its not basically dc...its built into the game like slugging, tunneling and camping. whether you agree with it or not. its part of the game design

It's the reason why people kill themselves on hook that people are upset about not that they can do it, you say they are entitled sorry but it's people like you who really are entitled that think they have every right to kill themselves on hook just because they get a killer they don't like, a map, found first and got downed quick when you thought you could loop that killer for ages.
I do the same thing if i know a survivor just wants out of the game because i hooked them before a gen popped so they try and 4%, sorry but if your team gets you of the hook your the last person i'm hooking, if its a emergency then DC by the time you have sorted out the emergency your DC penalty will be over.
I don’t need people telling me how to play, if I want to die on hook for any reason at all,I am perfect able to do so whether you think it’s right or not, and back to your previous comment, it’s ok for killers to do things survivors cringe about regarding tunneling and all that other hoopla so if you wanna play in a toxic manner which makes people want to move on from your match, so be it, killers have this cringe idea they are the only ones who dictates how a match goes, and the way to combat that is to simply show yourself to the hook and allow the entity to take them. If the devs had any desire to fix the mess they currently have on their hands, how about actually give survivors something they can use when a killer decides he’s just going to take a player out so he can get ez mode.

This whole topic was about the hate for people doing it not that you can or can't do it, if you load in and find out its a killer you don't like and you make yourself get downed then hooked first just to ######### on the hook, the survivors are going to hate it because now you just made the match even harder for them and the killer is put in the spot do they kill everyone knowing its unfair or take pity on the survivors.
That's one example of why people hate people that hook suicide not that they can do it but the reason behind it, you hit that ready button means your ready for a match and willing to face what ever killer, map and teammates if playing solo. If you get a killer you don't like play the match out instead of being entitled and killing yourself, how many killers do you see DC if they get the game knowing how many pallets are on that map.
sorry bruh....dying on hook is......"strategy" afterall. welcome to the opposite side to camping/slugging/tunneling....

Hate is a strong word. Hate implies an obsession. Nobody get obsessed with worms.
That being said, if a survivor attempts to disrespect his team in my game (now only as killer, soon also as survivor) I make sure he stays for a long time. Curiously, or not, quite often his teammates ... how shall I put it ... let's just say they emphatically express their dissatisfaction.
I shall not give details because it's not pretty.
This may be the one match situation where survivors and killers can agree with each-other.
I wonder why.
sounds pretty toxic to me....if they dont want to play and you hold them hostage. thats no better then them wanting to leave. But this is how the community works. you basically just admitted you're goal was to make the game fun for others. the problem is you are entitled and think that them leaving is against the rules. hate to break it to you. but people outside of d/cing have every right to just let themselves die on hook. if you dont like that im sorry. but you do not control others

@SuzuKR said:
Hook suiciding (when it’s not for hatch/cheater) is for immature players. Don’t queue up if you can’t handle playing. Uninstall instead of ruining the game for 4 other people.
having a har dtime understanding this one.....are you calling somoene who d/cs a cheater for leaving so a pal can get hatch.....if thats the case isnt it kinda bending the rules of hatch if the killer decides he wants to play the slug game so he can prevent the dynamics of hatch from working? i mean one is more scummy than the other. killers wanting 4ks so much is what led to the delusion that all killers arent viable. problem really is that people arent good enough with that killer to make that killer a viable option at high ranks. but noone wants to hear the truth
-
@GlamourousLeviathan said:
Because just because your teammates are bad, it doesn't give you an excuse to quit the game. That is not how multiplayer cooperative games work mate.
just because a killer decides he wants to play in a way that makes it so bad i dont want to really play. doesnt mean i dont have the option to leave on my own terms. thats the luxury of it all. we can just call it "strategy".
-
but somehow, its ok for a killer to slug, tunnel, camp and its called strategy....well i hate to break it to anyone...but making the game unfun for others might come accross as strategy for some...but for hte other side, survivors know dying on hook takes away any fun a killer might have had. and whether or not anyone agrees with it. until they do something about all this so called "strategy" on the killers part that makes the game incredibly dull for one side. I see nothing wrong with doing whatever it takes to return the favor. its not dc'ing, its giving the killer his free kill he was so desperate for in the first place
-
How about they just take the ability for a killer to see the name and any items a survivor has.
-
they arent capable of doing said things op.....sorry
-
This is what happens when you cater to one side and leave the other side with nothing. Anyone with any intellectual competence could have seen the last update and said hold up, there’s a potential problem here but not behaviour. If i have played 20 matches since the update dropped I’d venture to say 7/8 of those were legions. And every one of them had thano. This isn’t the diversity they were aiming for if I had to guess. Lastly don’t get your hopes up they will attempt to fix this blunder for at minimum a year since their main concern is to drop new killers and outfits for revenue. I have 0 confidence they can fix the game at this point
-
they wont fix anything that actually needs fixing....so dont get your hopes up

Hasn't seemed work for Nurse, SWF, camping or any of the other complaints that will never die. Sometimes it's just a lot of screaming at a wall.
But seriously, I think keeping one thread on a particular issue going is probably going to be more effective than seeing a million new threads on the same topic, as at that point it just becomes annoying white noise.
But very little if any of these changes are going to be walked back at all until time passes and data is gathered, probably holiday season if at all.
Last thing we need is them using their data, I’m certain whatever measures they use to gather data, they should consider using something else. Because as we’ve seen. It ain’t working.
-
Op has a point, I feel the end is here as well. Game is no longer fun

It hasn't even been 2 days!
Just 29 hours since the patch dropped and everyone is claiming that this is the end.
Honestly, the biggest issue is, that people refuse to play normal. I've had teammates with crows over their head, exiting a locker to finally go for the rescue.
normal? lol. like taking away everything a survivor can do to defend themselves and replace it with nothing? thats normal for who?

Lmao us killers had to deal with Boil Over and COH. A lot of us jumped to survivor but we didnt need to resort to AI killers.
What I'm getting at is...you guys will be fine.
I myself am enjoying my time on both sides. A few games have been terrible but I'm not seeing the kind of bull that people were pulling when Boil Over came out.
well deal with people quitting.....because its coming.....this update is the end whether you like it or not......

lol you literally dont understand all the differences that were made do you?

Nobody seemed to give a ######### when killers quit during boons+DH+snowmen ruining gameplay for half the roster.
And now you think WE will listen to THEM?
well when you lose 20 percent of the people compared to 80 percent it is a substantial difference. but i dont expect you to understand that. time will tell...but this game is on the bottom of the atlantic for the most part
-
I used to play 60-70 hours on average every 2 weeks I looked last night and it said 6. Not that me alone holds any evidence a decline in the game, my opinion of the game as a whole has declined to the point the desire to even open the game is more of a hassle than it’s worse. And to be even more honest coming to the forums is a complete drag on life, by far the most despressong environment on this planet

They buffed gen times, reduced the distance gained after a hit and buffed bloodlust (who asked for it to be buffed?). They also nerfed DS and DH, both of which previously helped ease the pain slightly when playing against the top of the range killers.
The only real benefit solo survivors get now is a guarenteed 5 second base BT... which does absolutely nothing against tunneling. In fact, sadly BT is still a must have perk for me because of the buff to camping playstyles and because there is no chance that an unhooked survivor is escaping end game without it due to the DS nerf.
Poor matchmaking and survivors doing challenges doesn't help either, or nurse players. Solo queue has gone from bad to worse.
nothing they ever do makes any sense anymore. its easier to deal with once you realize it lol

Fantastic as in the game needs to be completely broken in favor of killer with an unfair advantage, then I don't see how that is actually fun to know you are guaranteed to win.
That is not the definition of a game.
this is what they have been crying for years for! its like when a kid gets their way....and they are happy for a few days....but dont worry tomorrow they will be complaining that something else on the survivor side needs nerfing....i wish i could see the future when they are crying there arent any survivors left to play against!

Not that I'm comparing playing a video game to alcoholism, but, do you think it's as easy for an alcoholic to stop drinking as to "just put down the bottle?" It only takes one simple hand movement. My point is that saying it's "just one click" is really ignorant.
some people just dont know when to stop

A sad person can be sad for a great variety of complex reasons.
Leaving the game takes one click. If it is no longer fun for you, then it is not worth staying.
No one needs your advice on what they should do. the forums are here so people can voice their opinion of the state of the game

I don't think you understand my man, saying "just stop playing" is like telling a sad person "just don't be sad bro." I wish it were just as easy as "just stop playing."
not to mention hes just being a jerk. just leave is the easy way out......calling them out for terrible decision making is justified given the majority wanted something to help solo que.....and all they did was go and make it worse...thats the true state of the game
-
they literally lost all confidence anyone had to fix solo q......this game shelf life is coming to a close

I pretty much only solo queue. I haven't actually kept track, but I would say I escape against a nurse at least ***50% of the time. Nurse can be OP, especially against a solo queue, and especially with certain add-ons, but her learning curve is also pretty steep. There are a good amount of Nurses who are still learning and they are fun to loop. I say "accept your fate" of taking chase as much as possible to learn how to juke them. If they blink where they think you're going to be without keeping line of site... PUNISH them for it LOL. If I'm running around a corner and no longer see them while looking behind me, and hear them blink, I double back. This works against even somewhat decent nurses if they're in that bad habit of blinking on faith. All in all, a really good nurse, you're going to need more than that, but the more you juke beginner-intermediate nurses, you get better, and the matches get funner :)
All in all, Nurse is a tough killer to play as, and play against, but its not always a death sentence as long as you don't try to loop them around tiles, the same way you would most other killers. Breaking line-of-sight will be your best friend as the nurse is SOOOOO much slower than other killers when she's not using her blink to travel. Survivors run at 4.0m/s and Nurse "runs" at 3.6m/s so unless she's blinking she's actually slower than you.
stopped reading after i saw escaped at 50 percent rate in solo q against nurse.. you arent fooling anyone sorry
-
Nurse is the most broken killer in the game, and the obvious thing to do would be for hte dev team to evaluate why. However they are too busy nerfing all the perks that give you any chance against her. so expectations of them doing anything to help in that fight should be minimal. These guys have no idea the path they are setting sail for this game....along with the new perk changes its not going to take long before most people just say im done

The answer to your brilliant riddle is that the killer is also unable to progress the game - it's a free stalemate at best, which puts the killer into a no-win situation where they either go for the grabs just to get saved, or ignore them and lose the ability to pressure at least half of their opponents.
Flash saves out of lockers frankly shouldn't be a thing in any context.
I swear killers will complain about EVERYTHING. It’s a you issue, you should just change your way of doing things and it won’t be a problem. Not everything needs to be nerfed

This is seriously so annoying.
I know people don't love Nurse but at least try right? Nurse will not go anywhere. So how about you try adept against her?
And killing yourself is just helping Nurse, not your teammates.
What’s annoying is playing against nurses. It’s the state of the game
-
i have faced enough good doctors to know you just arent doing it right. keep practicing and quit making judgements based on how you perform with them. thats the common theme around here though
-
shaming lol.....how is this post not banned?
-
i truly feel no matter what. op will find a way to complain about a new perk. no matter what the flavor of the day is. its always NERF NERF NERF. why dont you just use your 5th and 6th perks where you can tunnel one individual out and/or camp them while they are on the hook. and im sure 1v3 will be much more in your favor.
-
@ad19970 said:
They need to nerf tunneling and camping into the ground. Of course they should also look into making normal and skillful strategies more rewarding and viable for killers, but camping and tunneling need to be turned into very weak strategies.
It's so annoying, and I am sure especially in low ranks it's the biggest reasons why kill rates increase so much.
It's very frustrating to have skillless strategies to sometimes be more rewarding than skillful strategies.
100 percent the reason people are leaving the game in hoards.....its at minimum 4/10 killers are basically killing off one person because its an easy W especially in solo qs. but we all know the only thing the devs are worried about is adding garbage killers into the game for that added revenue.....state of the game cant be any worse than it currently is
-
maybe they should just put an easy mode. where the killer gets props they can just go swing at and they dont move. i think that might just satisfy you! and btw...you dont need to collect data when the result is well known across the board. killing swfs means the end of dbd. Plain and simple
-
I think you just dont want to look in the mirror and say......."maybe im just not that good"......i have come to the realization as a survivor ill never be great at the game.....i think some people are just to quick to say its the game....when in reality its the person at the controls that is the real problem
-
the truth is...solo q is basically unplayable. but somehow killers want to be buffed to the point they can destroy swfs...i have taken a step back from the game lately just because i have lost all confidence the devs will actually do anything to make the game better. They are too blind adding new killers to the game than to fix what needs to be fixed.

There are a lot of killers that claim they like playing against SWF let's call their bluff
may be one of the worst ideas i have ever seen. might as well shut down the game right after doing so
-
for other reasons....i have decided to step away from the game....the devs have truly lost touch with the game....and i have lost all hope they will do anything to fix it...i think its pretty much the end for me at least. the only thing they trutthfully care about is new chapters with new killers so they can make more money.
