lmao the next one.
i love how you entitled surv mains use any opportunity to tell us how "killer sided" this game is. Disconnects happen because peeps cant take if the game doesnt go their way. Thats all to it.
survivor sided? wrong.....im a neither side. i just spoke the truth...you didnt want to hear it. i quit becasue the devs lost touch with the player base
-
because the game is stale on survivor side. literally same thing since the game came out......now killers have a astronomical advantage that cant be overcome by solo q and you have your perfect recipe for a game to sink. Thats not going to be a popular opinion. but its got validity

Well, aside from my acquaintances, solely on this thread you can see people think the same, that the dredge is overrated, and actually being more on a weaker side.
If you actually have read my first post in this thread, and still think that I need to learn "how to play Dredge", before I continue I want to ask the same question again (last time): Learn what exactly? How to use locker teleports? How to use remnant? How to basically play any M1 killer?
If you don't want to be more specific, I don't think you should give any (unwanted) advices. Dredge is not the Nurse, when someone telling "Learn how to play nurse" - I'm not asking with what exactly, since it's clearly meant to "get good with blinks". With Dredge it's a different story, you have to be more specific.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3265623#Comment_3265623
Lockers not going to help you get a quick down.=) At least not against a good survivors who knows what to do. Most of the time, when you're playing Dredge, you don't really want to use his ability at all in a chase. xD Survivors just getting distance on you each time you're putting down a remnant, they changing direction if you teleport to lockers, he's a basic M1 killer, when it comes to chases. He has a strong and very easy counter to his ability.
You can't get a fast down from a chase because of that, and this is why I think this killer is not as strong as some people might think he is.
Dredge is really overrated. I actually have seen that someone was putting him into A tier above Artist and Huntress, that was making me wonder if they are actually understand what are they even talking about.=)
calling a killer weak because you arent good at using him is the problem here. its basically the epidemic of the forums. everyone says every killer is weak. and yet in the real world where the games are being played you will see a wide variety of players that are great with said killers taht people say arent any good. this is unfortunately how it works. people will start using a killer, 2 matches into it they quit using them and claim the killer is weak

What...? Dude the Dredge is one of the easiest killers to master. Get better with what exactly? xD
yeah.....sure....funny how others dont seem to share your struggles with him. me think you just need to learn how to play dredge
-
i quit because so called "strategy" camping hooks, tunneling, slugging.....i dropped 3k hours almost in a game that i thought the devs actually care about...unfortunately they really dont know what direction they want their game to go in. hence the whole unbreakable thing. they clearly dont know what they want
-
get better with him....and then you cant say hes not good. thats usually the problem
-
@Veinslay said:
You could nuke Nurse from the game, forcibly teleport Bubba to the other side of the map if he's by hook for more than 2 seconds, make Trappers traps hot pink, make Nemesis take 6 whips to down etc and survivors would still DC and kill themselves on hook if they get found first or can't loop the killer for 5 gens or get outplayed and downed at a pallet cause they messed up Dead Hard. Catering to crybaby survivors is why Billy, Freddy, Twins, Pyramid Head and Deathslinger are all terrible
requoted as to say.....those killers are terrible because you just havent tried to learn them. Now its better!
-
slugging for a 4k is petty anyways

I am not forcing them to stay in the match. I am just not taking them out.
I guess as survivor I am keeping them in by saving them but thats literally one of the parts of the role and if survivors werent supposed to be able to make that decision for their teammates they would have a mechanic like they do for healing where you can prevent a heal or pick up by pressing shift..
you are though. youve had made it clear under those circumstances no matter if it benefits you or not you will not hook them. dont try and flip flop. you know as well as i do your intention is to quote on quote retaliate because they attemped to do something you didnt like. Thats the problem here. and to top this off.....you are no less petty than the ones you retaliate against. Do you not see this?
-
@Sharpefern said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3246214#Comment_3246214
Wait what? Please show me this because I believe if a survivor flashlight saves another survivor and I decide to retaliate by tunnelling them out of the game that is 100% in the normal playset.
was mostly talking about grieving other players by forcing them to stay in a match because they didnt play how you wanted them to play. one is part of the game...the other is just being a jerk...you decide
-
@Sharpefern said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3246204#Comment_3246204
I am not trying to dictate what they should or shouldn't do. But as killer it is my decision to choose whether I chase, attack, or hook someone. 100% normal for me to ignore a survivor chasing me with a flashlight because they want to loop me because I know they arent doing gens. How is me ignoring the survivor pointing to the hook any different?
and by the same token as a survivor it is their decision to continue struggling or not. its their decision to try and kobe. its only fair if it fits your agenda
-
@Sharpefern said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3246023#Comment_3246023
So one of the reportable categories is "Unsportsmanlike". Which is defined as "purposefully losing the game, not participating in or disconnecting from the game early to avoid defeat." This is exactly what non-tactically (trying to give another survivor hatch) suiciding on hook is. Purposefully losing the game. This isnt about players actually trying to kobe, because of the struggle stage. And its not just that they missed two skill checks, they ignored two skill checks. Because missing skill checks by hitting early or late doesnt auto kill you. The player is intentionally trying to die out of the game.
And my player retaliation of isn't breaking this rule at all. Survivors saving survivors is part of normal gameplay. And killers ignoring certain survivors to go for different ones also is part of normal gameplay.
retaliation in any form is breaking the rules

@Sharpefern said:

They arent attempting to leave naturally. They aren't attempting to survive or have others survive, their goals as survivor. They are not doing primary or secondary objectives. They are attempting to quit.
so you think you get to dictate what a survivor should or shouldnt do? thats not your decision. Thats the point.....did the survivor break any rules by deciding to let theirselves go on hook?

Yes.
And damn right it's a good thing, I dont support players ruining other fun because they wanted to throw a children's tantrum because they got outplayed or even up versing a killer or map they dont like.... like ffs people quit verse legion, kinda stupid.
you dont know their circumstances. you are just assuming at this point

Hardly. Providing a brat the incentive not to be a brat is about the only positive impact a killer can have in an otherwise immediate 3 v 1.
2 wrongs dont make a right
-
I dont see how this conversation is healthy. Its clearly an omission on several in here basicaly forcing people to quit out of a match if they want to leave by attempting to leave naturally if it doesnt fit someones narrative. This is downright sickening behavior on some of the posts in this topic.

What am I preventing them from doing? They are asking for a DC without the penalty.
And my "job" is to kill the survivors (plural) before they escape. If someone is doing nothing to assist the others from escaping, I am wasting time (downing and hooking them) and resources (the hook they break) which could make additional survivors escape.
they arent asking for a dc penalty. they are trying to exit the match by means in which actually gives them a chance to not have a dc penalty...you are contradicting yourself

My stance. I'll go out of the way to make the slugged tool see the other survivors get their BP.
and that kind of thinking is what makes the in game community what is currently is. its pitiful to see both sides act this way
-
@Sharpefern said:

How? Because they are saying if you want to quit the game you have to quit the game and accept the dc penalty that goes along with it. They aren't hindering the killers chances of winning so why should the killer kill them.
because your job is to kill them. not force them to have to dc. its pretty simple

Iri addons? Half of iri addons in this game are ass, lol.
nah....maybe you just have to get better at using them. its not always the game that is the problem. sometimes one must look inside to find the reason something isnt that good. I know as a player most of the times i mess up...i dont blame it on the game. i blame it on myself

If they get up and play the game normally it's fine. But if they keep pointing at the hook they'll stay with me. They can DC for free if they want, I'm not "forcing" anyone to play.
Openly admitting to holding someones game hostage is a direct admission of playing against the rules of the game.

It is getting irritating. As killer I'm seeing so many survs suicide on hook. It decreases my points on a good game denying me BP across the board since you should be interacting with 4 survivors not 3 and several times it has handed me a win I should not have had. Which makes me feel bad for the other survs in the game and tbh gets kinda no boring. No challenge ruining 3 players with 4/5 gens left. Also really sucks when myltiple players decide to do it. Had 3 survs hook suicide in one game before. I let the other go
As survivor it obviously annoys me because it practically throws every game it happens in.
Imo killer should get fully bp for survivors who progress hook stages by attempting unhooks and missing skill checks on struggle phase. Don't want to encourage facecamping of course.
make it harder to suicide. As a killer I'd be absolutely down for attempting to free yourself from hook to not take chunks out of a survivors hook progress. You get 3 attempts to koby yourself then you have to wait for sturggle phase. Would make the game a little more interesting tbf if survivors got the odd self unhook without running deliverance. And makes salty lips and luck builds actually viable, because currently they are a bad idea. They don't increase your chance of unhooking enough to be worth risking progressing a hook stage.
Perhaps reinstate it if there is only 1 surv alive after the hooked surv to allow tactical suicide to spawn hatch.
I wander why people are doing this, there has to be a reason as to why people dont want to continue on in these matches......nevermind, it really doesnt matter. Because the idea that we might actually get to the root cause of the issues in the game is just a sense of false hope. This is what happens in games when there is a sense of no chance a win being a possibility. "Strategy" from one side is whats hurting this game more than anything. Well that plus devs slow roll on fixing major problems within the game

@Unam said:
If the killer is not allowed to stay near a hook to secure a kill, then survs should not be allowed to sit on a gen with 3 ppl to secure it gets done.
One is ok, the other is not.
Just another entitled surv that probably hasnt ever Played killer and got 4 Minute genrushed.
If you facecamp from first hook and you manage to get more than 1 kill, the survs are just plain garbage.
Learn to loop, so you dont get camped 🙃
Entitlement to think you can make the game unplayable for one person just because it’s in your interest
-
i know the feeling, I’m considering letting it go pretty soon, I feel the devs to be out of touch with what’s truly happening in the game, I’ve held on to hope for the better part of a year, but I can’t do that much longer. It’s been a fun journey tho, just too bad it had to end on a sour note

glad this isn’t a thing

I’d imagine with the auto aim built in those numbers are far less than the yd be if it wasn’ta thing

SWF is what makes and breaks this game.
game wouldnt survive without it. most swf arent all that great.....but in these forums it would lead you to believe they were. people being bad with certain killers is what really breaks this game. because they are the real problem. in the right hands any killer is viable. thats the concept people here cant understand.
-
We can start there and end with nerfing call of brine, pain res, eruption and a couple other perks you see every match, I’m down
-
agree op.....3/10 matches is wesker for me and his ability to hit you thru a pallet and then all of a sudden you are back on the other side of the pallet you threw from the other side is downright sickening
-
This game in its current state is hard to enjoy. Ive been holding out hope maybe the devs will see whats going on. But when all you want to look at is stats, im afraid that ship may be sailing away. Solo Q is the most demoralizing way to play in any game ive ever experienced in my life, and for months all we get is radio silence. they are either out of ideas, or just too busy trying to create more content to water down the game even more.
-
I think survive morale is gone, speaking for myself, I have no hope anymore they will fix the problems they themselves caused to begin with.
-
@Crowman said:
The stats are certainly incomplete and don't show the whole picture, but I wouldn't say they hold no ground. For example, the stats show that Sadako is surprisingly effective in high mmr.
shes not weak.....people that say shes weak are those that just arent good using her

How are they unbalanced? Specifically explain how they are unbalanced?
Survivors get basekit BT for 10 seconds with 10% haste. OTR makes this 80 seconds, minus the speed, but you get Iron Will and Aura Immunity.
Reassurance is in the game, which pauses hook timer for 30 seconds at T3.
There's actually a lot that can be done against these. Not sure how they are unbalanced.
In solo queue, I agree, but generally speaking, if the team knows what they are doing. It's fine.
you seem to forget even if you do have that base kit bt killers just have to hit you once and then turn around and hit you again...its not like a gain invincibility for 80 seconds regardless if a survivor gets hit or not
-
@Crowman said:
There's nothing unfair about tunneling. The only goal the killer has is to kill survivors and focusing out a survivor early is just the best path to victory.
You have teammates who can take hits and try to get pressure off of you, you have perks like BT, OTR, and DS to aid against tunneling, and you can always waste a killer's time in chase.
tell that nonsense to the people on the other side of that.....and see how long people hang around on the game, if the game is miserable for someone they arent going to play it anymore....and that seems to be the ultimate goal with being able to take one player out every match and it does nothing but guarantees a w for one side.....if you cant see that as a problem, then theres nothing anyone is going to say thats going to change your mind.

@Zephinism said:
Game is not in a good state, playercount continues to rapidly decline. The double BP event of July didnt even register on the charts, the RE2 release hype lasted less than 2 weeks. The game is bleeding players, the matchmaking is awful. The bonus BP per role seems completely random. We still cant see our MMR and the map pool does not feel random as some maps seem to appear way more than others.
they basically did everything to make the game unfun for 80 percent of the people in the match, so it’s to be expected the game is in a free fall. I don’t even consider playing it anymore just because it’s obvious there is a lack of understanding what is really going on. But that’s what happens when you base your decisions off of statistics and not listen to people who play.
-
it wasnt like this before 6.1 at least not to this degree. we all know where the problem is....they just dont want to admit it

So we shouldn’t be able to try to 4 percent? Geez you really do want ez killer mode

This is such an insanely awful idea from BHVR. Literal infinite use Unbreakable-speed self-recovery with the perk on, and even without it, still literal infinite use self-recovery.
Nah, it’s not awful at all, just ensures the game is as fun for everyone as it is for the killer, now you will just have to be more aware things you do, and to top it off no longer taking away a chance at hatch for the survivor!

I mean, you'll never be able to appease everyone, yeah I agree camping is "boring" although I personally think people just like throwing that word around for a tactic they don't like, eg. Camping, bodyblock, tunneling ect ect but like...all that exists because it's fun for someone somewhere
its a huge problem. go play solo q for a few hours and see for yourself
-
right stop doing the objective....sounds like a fantastic idea

@OrangeBear said:
Whenever people say this the message i understand is "Don't camp because it makes the game unfun and harder for survivor players".
My response to that is why should i care?
I don't play this game to entertain other players i play it to entertain myself. I play games because i like being rewarded for efficiency, tunnelling and proxy camping and rarely camping are the most efficient strategies. If i ignore these for the ultimate sake of positive reputation then it comes at the cost of me having fun. It's not worth it for me because i like i said i don't play the game for that.
If people aren't having fun playing the game then i suggest they play a different one. I do the same myself, i respect all players regardless of how they chose to play, because i look at it from their perspective.
so you have fun just sitting in front of a hook...sounds about right
