What are you trying to refund??
Because I can save you some time and tell ya there's a 99.99% chance its going to be a no
Going off their last post, they want a refund on the shards they spent only a short while before a shard discount was applied.
@topic Especially with shards I don't think you're getting any sort of refund

What complaints was this system a response to, though?
Because this seems like a complete waste of dev resources.
Maybe the complaints about face-camping.....

Huh? This another case of someone not reading the policy of no refunds on purchases?
Yeah but there's also normally context as well. At this point I'm not even sure if they're talking about DBD.
@XeroMishaps if you were to be specific and not just cussing people out, someone may actually be able to help you

Not a pot shot. You tried to attribute an argument I never made to me then brushed it off.
We? Who is we?
We is rulebreaker. They've always used we and us pronouns to refer themselves
You still haven't answered their question

This is you:
"That...honestly sounds more like your fault than anything else. If they tricked you into thinking they're somewhere they're not that's just you"
But it's not just him, you said IF THEY tricked you. If they trick the killer, that implies they did it on purpose, by choice.
And the game is being tricked, unless jump-offs when no one's camping is working as intended.
Doesn't really matter who's tricking the game, though, the problem is the game being tricked.
Here is a scenario when the anti-camp mechanic supposed to come into play: When the killer is staying within a certain radius of the hooked survivor WITHOUT a reason
The killer being tricked (which is partially their fault because while the survivors may have been the one to trick them, the killer was the one to fall for it) and staying within this radius chasing their own shadow long enough for a survivor to jump off the hook means they are either chasing a survivor who isn't there around the hook, so they may as well be camping, or they are chasing a survivor who isn't there further out in the radius for an excessive amount of time, either of which the anti-facecamping mechanic needs to trigger because they are staying too close for too long without a reason.
They THINK they have a reason to stay in the area. The game KNOWS they don't. As such, the anti-facecamping meter fills up. The killer screwing up is not the same as the anti-facecamp being tricked, especially when you consider the killer still has to stay there for a good amount of time for the hooked survivor to get a chance to unhook themselves

You replaced the words "game mechanic" with "something." Does that mean you don't understand the difference or are pretending there is none?
Tricking the killer is fine, tricking the game is an exploit.
Except no one's tricking the game. The killer is near the hooked survivor. The other survivor is not. As such, the anti-facecamping meter goes up.
Tricking the game would be like the anti-camping mechanic on PTB, where a survivor could lead the killer to the area above the hook, where the anti-camping meter would go up, even though neither the killer or survivor is close to the hooked survivor. That is very different than the killer making a wrong read and staying near the hook even though the survivor left.

So it's anti-camp and anti-killers who can be tricked? Killers should know better than to go to the place where they think survivors are?
Some would call abusing a game mechanic through trickery to be abusing a game mechanic.
So survivors are abusing something because the killer ######### up?

My point in the post is, this was obviously an unintended use of the mechanic. And as expected survivors are finding ways to exploit it.
So your mistake is the survivors exploiting? What are they exploiting? Their brain?

@WilliamSN said:

Pretty positive the concept of "Luring a non-camping killer next to the hooked survivor, then mindgame / Loop around the hooked survivor so he gets off the hook for free because the game now thinks hes being camped" falls under *exploiting an unintended flaw in the anti-facecamping mechanic*.
Dont believe it takes PHD in game design to understand that this is problematic, and needs to be ironed out just like inclusion of the grace period + dying / picked up survivors stopping the timer.
Except the survivor wasn't looping around the hook. They specifically said the survivor left the loop and they didn't know, meaning they were just chasing their own tail around a hook
-
@Reinami said:
Already had survivors exploiting it, by running the chase near the hooked guy who was near shack making me think they were looping shack, but then they just run away. So i start trying to mindgame while they aren't there, meanwhile person unhooks themselves.
That...honestly sounds more like your fault than anything else. If they tricked you into thinking they're somewhere they're not that's just you
-

Report then, hope they get banned.
Nothing the OP said is bannable?
-
If you remove the basement, you have to get rid of the killer shack. The reason basement is such a powerful spot for killer is because it's under shack which is a powerful spot for survivors. For maps that don't have shack, you'd have to remove one of the more powerful loops if you removed basement.

I don’t understand why you would not want to outdo your friends with Fog Style points. I feel like it is next evolution of this game.
Devolution is the word your looking for. Not evolution

They're not going to offer refunds and they shouldn't. When it comes to a live-service game like this, things are always susceptible to change. You accepted this. You had to before you could even play the game.
-
So about the refund and the suing. You ever heard of EULA? You agreed to accept this

So then my question isn't deliberately tunneling and focusing one person, 'Intentionally targeting to ruin gameplay experience'. One survivor gets taken out of the game most of the time with under 10k, because the killer intentionally decided to take them out of the game, This ruined the gameplay for that survivor, and in addition it ruins the other survivors game play experience, because instead of being a 1 vs 4 as intended a good or even lower skilled killer can make that match a 1 v 3 in less than 5 minutes. Especially if they are running the right perks, but even perks like lethal or Floods of Rages aren't even needed to do that.
In addition "slugging for the 4k" doesn't that also ruin the gameplay experience for the survivors. It removes the hope of getting hatch because the odds of the hatch spawning next to you in most cases is next to 0, and even if it happens to be close the speed at which you move while downed makes it neigh impossible to get to it. To be clear I am not suggesting to change crawling speeds, but I am suggesting adding the base kit unbreakable that was teased many patches ago. I realize the final mori that was coupled with it probably was a dud. I know I wasn't a fan of it, but the unbreakable was worth it. In addition it would alleviate the aforementioned problem of people slugging to grief people and ruin gameplay for the survivors.
Not exactly. Last time I checked, that rule only applied if done repeatedly, because there's nothing wrong with tunneling on the part of the killer.
If that rule is still the same as it was last time I saw it brought up, it means intentionally targeting one person, this 1 person specifically, over the course of multiple games. So if a killer and a survivor got matched together back to back and the killer tunneled them out at five gens both games that would be an example
Another reason camping and slugging are exempt from this rule is because there is no guarantee the killer was doing it to ruin the gameplay experience unless they explicitly say it. Until further notice, they're doing it to make their match easier and set up a win. The survivors not having fun is just a by product of tunneling and slugging.
Plus, if we were going to say tunneling and camping go against this rule because it makes the game unfun for survivors, there is a LIST of things that both sides hate that would have to be marked as bannable behavior as well
Tl;Dr The devs have reasons that tunneling and slugging are not bannable under that rule and that rule has very specific requirements

"ur overreacting"
"lol just don't buy it"
I don't care lmao
You have no concrete defense of their actions.
Several people have already stated that if customers don't voice their dissatisfaction, nothing will ever happen or change.
I mean it's not like they're actions really need defense is the thing. They may be ######### and greedy, but that's pretty par for the course for any company.
And while you may disagree with them, crowman is right about one thing. If people keep buying (which they are), bhvr will keep doing it

"I'm tired to see nurses, ranged and high mobility killers" -> remove MFT. Legit thought process.
How about nerfing mobility killers instead? How does that sound? How about the nurse getting reworked since it completely ignores the game mechanics (instead of adding additional blinks)? How about removing alchemist's ring and addons that increase speed for blight?(how come the blight need speed addons when it runs iirc at 9 m/s?) and in addition limiting the rushes to 3/4. How about giving an exhaustion to m2 killers, who can hold m2 power endlessly nullyfing mindgames at a dropped pallet or windows, without being punished (pyramid, deathslinger etc..)?
I think these changes are healthy for the game since it restrict a bit the gap between let's say a blight and a pig and we'll se a wider variety of killers without the needs of a system that would be nth band-aid fix
How about we leave killers that don't need to nerfed the ######### alone? That would be a good starting point. Aside from nurse and some of blights add-ons, none of the ranged or mobility killers need a nerf. If you're going to nerf balanced killers like that you would have to nerf survivors again, and no one wants that
-
Nope. Netflix pulled out of the deal, BHVR can't do ######### about that

behavior isn't exactly eager about adding religious figures to their game
*looks at plague
*kinda looks at pinhead
guess it's ok when the religion is more dead or implied? for some weird reason?
like... did you not know pinhead is totally jesus?
Adding a priestess for a dead religion or a character that simply implies religion is not the same thing as putting the devil in your game, so yes
-
Yeah....no. behavior isn't exactly eager about adding religious figures to their game and considering lucifer is very prominent in some religions, lucifer is probably on the bottom of that list. Just adding the devil to your game is a whole can of worms bhvr probably doesn't want to open
-
Considering how dbd isn't able to get stranger things back, fear street probably isn't anywhere close to getting into dbd
-
Yeah....do yourself a favor and don't get used to it
-
GUD! I like stealth play. It's not done enough
-
The problem is, typically something imbalanced is only fun for the person using it and not the other side. Old DH: fun for survivors, not so fun for killers. Insta-moris: Fun for killers, not survivors. The more imbalanced something is, the more fun the side that has access to it will have, and the less fun the other side will.
-
I think you're mixing those two games up. I think you meant to say tcm can't compete with dbd

The fact people got so used to them is probably why they're keeping them. I'm imagining something similar happened with blights hug tech because that still hasn't been patched.

I don't know why they aren't showing the killer's ping (or username) in lobbies, that seems counterintuitive.

they could force the playstyles out (like they're doing with camping), but there would likely have to be some sort of compensation for removing something like that.

It's really not. That might be why you run it, but I sincerely doubt a large number of killer players see it as enough of a problem they need to bring a perk to counter it.
That's what I was going to say. If anything, people run it to counter sprint burst

Without a replay its hard to say. If they were matching you're speed while healthy and that's not just them playing the map right, they're cheating. If injured, they likely have made for this.

newer players would be the only ones affected by this change since it does nothing for the experienced players that already have the info they need.

Because people on this forum enjoy making noobs suffer for some reason. A notably odd trend
