I mean Grave of Glenvale has a terrible main building that requires you to knock down what? 5 doors to open up?
Ormond has the same issue but also has vertical spots where survivors can loop with no real way of stopping them.
RCPD is just… no.
The Game is hash with its pallet placements but has at least one area where you can get pallet trapped. Outside of that I actually like it
Midwich Elementary would be fine if the main hall of the building didn’t need to be broken into at both ends so killers can rotate.
The Artists map is so bright that you can spot the killer from anywhere and it has terrible loop placements.
The farms… dear god they really hate killers in those fields. It’s already hard enough to see scratch marks in the corn and now it’s like looking for a needle in a corn..stack.
And before I get people who say I’m hating them because they don’t give me a 4K each match. I don’t care for 4Ks. I just want to have fun on the map and these once aren’t fun. It’s like getting spawn camped in COD levels of fun when you have a survivor run to a loop that you have to literally break three doors to open for yourself.
I actually have a few favorite maps. I love the swamps and I love the Auto Wrecker maps. The Yamaoka ones are okay too (after they fixed the lighting so it’s not pitch black). And the other ones are about Even when it comes to pallet placements and loops.
I serious think they should just have a certain number of pallets that have to be a certain distance from each other. No more pallets 8 meters apart. Or at least change where they spawn. Maybe not have one next to this Double L loop one game but it’s there the next.
You forgot about Badham...all of the versions of that map are just bad for the killers.
I think i personally only like midwitch as a killer rest of them are just horrible. The game as a huntress yeah.. i cry inside everytime.

Everything about our lovely demodoggo is straight from the newest season. Even the mori.

I mean if i see a map offer when im a killer im putting my evil pants on. I know most people will try to abuse the map with boons or boil over or just because they know it has god loops so i'm not going to be very nice.
I don't use map offers when i play a survivor since i like the game to be fair for both sides.

I don't recall the RPD offering being used or any boon totems. I was found fairly early in the match so my only guess is the killer simply didn't like the map and took it out on us. If not that then they simply camp for the sake of camping. Either way, there is no excuse for people to do this in my opinion.
Many hates that map with passion and just doesnt feel like even trying. So did he end up with 1 or 2k?

This right here is why this game needs to fundamentally change. The first picture is me and after I died on hook I had the displeasure of watching it happen to another person on my team. Every time a killer does this the whole point of the game is ruined. This is not good for the game at all. I don't know what all is coming to DBD with these changes being talked about but I can only hope that it somehow makes it to where we see a lot less of this in the game.
You didnt give information about this game. First of all RPD and pinhead not a good combination. Poor guy is just a basic M1 in a huge map.
Did you guys put this map offer? Did you guys abuse boons or boil over? If you didnt then maybe he just thought this is the best option for this map.

People are constantly taking this tunneling and camping as an issue but what about the killers issues? We have huge maps..lets be honest most maps are heavily survivor sided. We have gens that go by fast since prove thyself is almost in every game + toolboxes. WE have SWFS that almost everytime annihilate the killers unless they are too altruistic or new. We have breakable walls...who came up with that? its horrible.
We have bodyblockers, only killer that can go through them is Sadako. We have people that abuse BT / DS at the endgame, lets be honest DS should not activate anymore when gens are done.
So yeah tunneling and camping happens DUE to these issues quite often. How about we check whats wrong with the basegame and not make it worse?
Sure there are killers that facecamp your beautiful face from hook one but that killer most likely if survivors play correct wont get more than 1-2 kills. Sure there are killers that will tunnel from first hook, but id say if the gameplay was more BALANCED a lot of us wouldnt have to resort to tunneling.
I for one try to play as fair as i can and i stack up gen defense because im a slow huntress, but still most of the times with my first chase 1 gen pops maybe even 2 depending on their perks and items. Unless i get super lucky and find them fast (i don't use lethal ) How do you want me to play fair after that? I know im at disadvantage so i have to put my mean girl pants on and tunnel 1 person out of the game to put pressure back to them.
So yeah...help survivors so they wont be camped and tunneled but also help the killers be able to kill without losing all the gens in 3 minutes and being bodyblocked / DSed at the endgame.
-
I mean BT is one of the meta perks for survivor so shouldnt killers get meta perk as a basekit and not some F tier garbo skill? Give us BBQ without the bloodpoints as basekit or corrupted. I dont do anything with bloodwarden or brutal strenght.
-
I don't usually agree wit Sluzzy and i dont even agree with him now, but i do agree NOED needs a change.
I'm not a survivor main so i dont see the game through rose colored glasses. I think NOED is a perk that helps weaker killers win some games and get kills they wouldnt have gotten otherwise.I see NOED as a perk that doesnt help people improve their gameplay because they are leaning heavily on that one perk.
I think it should be token based so every hook gives you a token for that perk up to certain amount but right now its just a heavy crutch for a killer that might still be new or not as experienced. I also think if you lean on this perk and think like oh well i got 1 hook in the game but i 4ked in the end due to this perk i am good...but are you though? Survivors didnt find your totem and tried to maybe save their teammate and ended up dying due to this perk alone...not because the killer had experience to kill them during the game.
To me its simpy a perk that holds people back from learning their killer or killer overally and leans on this perk to carry them.
-
I have over 2000 hours in the game and ive seen 3-5 cheaters. So yeah you don't see them in every game.
You can also cheat on console.
-
Favorite survivor / Meg
Favorite killer / Huntress
-
Sadako : Condemned survivors should be exposed yes but i also think condemn should grow passively. Its completely useless at this stage.
Deathslinger...well i dont mind fixing him a little but i think he needs to make a sound when he's about to shoot someone. Just like every other range killer, they make audible warning when they are about to do their range attack except the deathslinger.
Ghostface: Fix the revealing. He can be now revealed from behind walls and from other side of the map so yeah...he's not great to play.

NOED punishes survivors for not doing the bones.
Dead hard doesn't reward anything. It only gives another chance to the survivor who should be otherwise dying.
NOED can be denied by survivors and only happens late in the match.
Dead hard happens in every chase and can only be baited or waited for which is BS.
NOED also rewards bad killer gameplay. Usually when i see killer than gets 0-2 hooks in the game i already know they have NOED.
Sorry but how are you going to improve in killing if you are always relying on NOED. DH is broken perk as well i hate it as a killer. It rewards..pressing E and getting to a pallet or to a window and prolonging the chase. Both of these perks are bad for the game.

Doesn't help that If you're Playing Trapper Or Wraith against decent to good survivors,
Kinda hard to stay good as those two when the game sends your traps to the corner and you're down like 2 traps, =D
If Noed rewards bad killers, Then why not Do totems? =D Food For Thought,
I do totems. I just personally think NOED does reward bad killer gameplay just like dead hard rewards bad survivor gameplay quite often.
Trapper will always have issues in the game until his core mechanics are fixed. I dont think using noed makes you any better trapper even if you 4k with it. You will just 4 k because of 1 lit totem that people didnt break or couldnt find.
I am not a survivor main by the way i play both sides lately i feel like more killer than survivor so im not biased towards any side if anything im leaning more into the killer side, but i personally hate NOED and how it works.

too much attention is being given to these "content creators". Can we start looking at the average gamer, rather than someone who has no-lifed DBD into a job - make no mistake, they carry water for BHVR
Just because someone makes money out of playing this game doesnt mean they arent good players. Many content creators are the best or really good killers in this game or survivors.

on the contraty, make it punish lazy survivors. Every survivor who cleansed a totem becomes immune to the instadown.
Guess people would die then since im usually cleansing 3-4 totems per match. I play both sides i dont use NOED as a killer but i do think its a little too strong perk for killers that get 0 hooks in the game and end up 2-4k because of NOED.
-
There is camping and then there is camping.
If killer puts a survivor to hook and sees other survivor/s around the hook instantly or downs another survivor near the hook..the killer has no reason to leave the hook. This is the fault of the survivors. I see this a lot in my killer and survivor games. I am there hooking a person and someone runs to me i down them next to the hook.. i aint picking that person up i let them be on the ground next to the hooked person its a win win situation for me. I also see this as a survivor when im hooked. Someone gets downed near or next to the hook and just stays there giving the killer no reason to hook him or her or leave. Survivors are quick to blame killer for camping or slugging at this point not realising its their own fault.
Then theres the actual camping put a survivor to the hook stare into their pretty eyes until they are dead. Which camping are we talking about?
-
Just make it token based. Reward good killer gameplay. If killer hooks a survivor you get a token for NOED. Make it max 4 or so tokens.
Right now NOED rewards killers that play badly during the match and its a crutch for the endgame and quite often does give the killer 1-2 kills sometimes even 4.
I used to think NOED was fine perk but lately i see it way too much and way too often on killers that perform badly during the match and they get rewarded by 1 perk alone.
-
New legacy outfits, maybe with the midnight blue color instead of the yellow.
-
None... if i had to say one then maybe midwitch but honest all maps are good for survivors but midwich isnt complete butts for killers like rest of the maps.
-
Just throwing it out there.. If you look at the most used perks from killers you see what the issue is in the game? Gens go too fast. so as much as im into this meta perk shift since honest its boring, im little worried since gen speeds havent been discussed and they even give survivors more perk ( the new Haddie perk) to make gens faster. Hopefully you fix prove thyself too.
Anyways im looking forward to it. Seeing same perks and using same perks all the time is getting boring.

You understand that there is basically 0 difference between you and the dcers right?
Except i dont do it willy nilly. If there is 5 gens up after 5 minutes and 3 survivors hiding behind a rock yeah get me the f out of the game Ill kill myself on hook. I have better things to do than watch survivors urban evade behind every bush they find being too scared to touch a gen.
Dcers will just dc after being downed for the first time because their ego cant take the fact they are ending up on a hook.
I'm not going to apologize for not spending 30 minutes to do all gens alone and im not going to apologize for not wanting to feed bloodpoints to heavy tunneling killers at 5 gens.
-
Tried it few times.. was pretty sure i got it but didnt and i got annoyed and stopped. I don't really enjoy playing twins so im kinda not feeling this tome.
-
I am quilty of killing myself on hooks sometimes if i have bad teammates or super campy tunneling killer since i dont want to feed bloodpoints to these people, BUT my biggest issue right now is the amount of dcs that happen from survivor sides.
Everytime survivor gets hooked or caught or doesnt like the killer they babyrage and quit...its getting quite silly and im kinda hoping something would be done about this. 5 minute penalty isnt enough.

Its not really the map its more the killer you are playing
So what you are saying we should all play blight and nurse? Most of the maps are heavily survivor sided and big so M1 killers or stealthers have hard time patrolling them. If killer chases a survivor long enough to get to bloodlust 2-3 they screwed up.
Only time i chase for that long is when you are second last or last survivor and i have time to waste on you other times ill just go find a weaker survivor and down them.

Interesting results, thanks for sharing!
Honestly I’m surprised Resilience usage is that high, I don’t see survivors use that perk nearly as much anymore ever since coh entered the meta.
I love resilience. Its a perk i cannot let go. Now with legion in every second match and plagues here and there i think resilience makes a lot of sense. Also running to the boon and healing constant is just boring to me so i rather stay injured and get some value out of it.
-
Its much better. I have to say the chase music is still kinda bad but the near and the approaching sounds are pretty damn good.
Thanks for fixing the music behaviour! It really did cause me a headache and im not saying this to sound like a cool kid :)
-
I mean if i see a map offering i know the survivors are sending me somewhere they know they have an edge over me or good for their build or for boons. I play little dirtier as well.
I've been send to RPD few times and yes i will tunnel you out of the game. I'm not going to be playing nice if im being sent somewhere they know they can abuse for their fun. I'll get my own fun by playing little nastier too.

None? Why would one perk becoming basekit warrant another for the other side becoming basekit as well?
Simple answer to this. Fairness. You can't give a survivor a perk as a basekit allowing them to equip another one instead of using BT.
Killers would still be stuck with the 4 perks while survivors get BT+another perk they equip instead of BT. Most killers would just ragequit at that point.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying Ghost Face is strong or weak either way, I’m just disputing that claim above that the average time to force a pallet or get a hit is 60 seconds when both the survivor and killer know what they’re doing.
And I agree, as a killer part of the strategy is knowing which survivor to chase when you have a choice and when not to bother starting a chase in the first place (like when a survivor is off 35 meters away in the middle of nowhere when you know the gens are being worked on nearby.) The macro gameplay of deciding where to go and who to chase and such is at least as important as the actual chases.
Best tactic for GF to stalk someone is to stay near anyways. I usually try to 99 people and go close and insta down them. Stalking from a far is usually pointless since you raise the chances of not catching them in that 60 seconds.
Its sad though that people arent playing him. I've seen 2 ghosties in last month...2!! Mostly saw nurses, blights, huntresses and nemmies. Gets boring but i get it.

You don’t even have to believe me on the 60 second thing, pull up any game from any streamer playing a basic attack killer and track the seconds between when the survivor starts running and when either the killer gets a hit or a pallet is dropped. The solid streamers get it in 15-30 seconds typically. I’m not as good as they are and I do about 20-40 seconds. (I even did this experiment myself just now, pulled up a random recent Ghost Face video on RedsGamingGears, his chases were all in the 10-30 second range). 60 seconds average between when the survivor runs and a pallet or hit means the killer messed up probably. And that makes sense, if it took you literally a minute to even get a pallet drop you’d be spending three or four minutes just getting your first down which obviously is never the case unless the killer is really screwing up.
And you can assume people are using cover but I know for a fact I see a lot of people on streams not using cover well as a killer.
To be fair a lot of the killer main streamers have already lost the chase against that 1 minute exposed timer. If the survivor gets into a good loop and doesnt insta drop the pallet they can prolong the chase pretty well + that all mighty DH being in play almost everytime.
So yeah not everyone plays badly so its very possible to not get a down in 1 minute, but good killers do not continue chasing these kind of survivors and find the weaker links first.
Ghostface is weak and im saying this with heavy heart since i love him and i used to main him. I'll stick with my huntress for now until something massive happens in the game.
-
You did make revealing ghosty a little bit too easy now. Its like everyone has streched ress and he can be revealed from almost everywhere.
He's not great to play.

On this note: We hear ya, and we'll be working on an improved version. In the meantime, we'll be turning down the volume of his chase music in the first bugfix patch.
Thank you! I've seen only one GF so far and i can't play him due to this music so im glad you guys are doing something about it.
-
Haddonfield is more balanced but id still put it more to survivor sided. The house loops and the windows are way too strong.
Don't worry though you still have all the farm maps and badhams to play with and even mothers dwelling where slower killers usually struggle so we killers will enjoy our midwich
-
You don't have to instantly mend. Give it time. Also im struggling more with survivors that are so hell bent on healing that they waste 10 minutes on healing instead of doing gens so we lose while having 3-4 gens up still since ...healing against legion is so important...

The DC penalty is totally fine, as long as my opponent(s) are not way better than me, to the point that I don't get to do anything in the game. I love going against Nurses that I can loop at least for a little bit, even if they kill me in the end. That's fun. What's not fun is not being able to dodge a single blink hit, 'cause the Nurse is top tier, and no juke I attempt works against her. Now add to that me going against a top tier Nurse 4 matches in a row.
Yeah sorry no.. im tired of having baby ragers like you that hit that quit button instantly when they realise they are matched against a killer that they dont like or that are good players.
As a killer i feel bad for the other teammates when people like you just rather deal with penalties that die on hook and as a survivor i feel annoyed when teammates like you screw the rest of us by not *having fun*
Hopefully they increase the penalties because this happens way too much. What i dont understand at all is survivors that DC on their deadhook and lose all their earned bloodpoints...whatever floats their boat.
-
Sorry behaviour i was really looking forward on playing my old main again but with this chase music i cannot.
It sounds like a really broken washing machine or fax machine from the 80s. Its jarring and causes a headache after listening to it for a while.
I'm quite disappointed you couldnt just change it completely you left the jarring repeating washing machine grind sound there.
-
Agreed map offerings need to be removed. Make it fair..make it random dont give one side opportunity to abuse a map they know well or is good for boons.
-
Yeah this happens. Lately i've had matches where gens have been already done after i have 3-4 hooks. I'm not sure how behaviour thinks killer is supposed to get 12 hooks in that time but hey.. just play nurse or blight right
-
Little disappointing not gonna lie..
-
Both.
-
3-4 kills should be adept. Its ridiculous how survivors can get adept just by escaping and killers have to jump through hoops to get theirs.
-
Dwight is adorable.
-
You don't. If they have common sense how to play this game you just don't.
-
Sadako can teleport but thats about all she can do. Poor thing...i was really looking forward on her too but in the end shes weak M1 killer that can be easily bullied. I'm sure the next killer will be ranged since Sadako is M1
-
Yeah. To me it looks like babyraging that can't handle losing in a game. Also like someone earlier said you will be ruining the game for others if you just leave.
-
I mean it looks nice but its starting to look little bit like Badham which scares me since i hate that map the most.
-
I always try to be positive in the end game chat. Say GGS even if i lose because im not going to be salty about dying in a game.
I've had killers that had really rough matches getting matched against people that had 1k+ hours to him/her and yeah they were broken after the match even little salty sometimes. I talked to them calmly and in the end they ended up being super nice and we wished eachother great days.
As a killer i don't do pity hooks. I get its usually from kindness if im having a super tough match i just carry the survivor back to the door. You beat me fair and square take the win i'll try to improve for the next match. I think a lot of killers don't want these pity hooks.
Sadly there are always going to be people in this game that will want to hurt people, but what i wish is that people would not get so upset about losing. There is no point hurting another human being just because you lost in a game. You don't know whats going on in that other persons life and you being toxic might just actually hurt them quite badly.
-
Same with Freddy hits...feels like his arms strech way too long sometimes. Some killers just have little bit busted hitboxes.
