So she was bled out for struggling even though she could have been hooked..? So survivors shouldn’t struggle because a killer might give them hatch if they don’t?

    Yes?

I mean, to be fair, whats the point of struggling, if you the last survivor and there is a hook near by?

This is how I do it, If I want to give the last survivor a hatch (for any reason), I down them, picking up, and if they struggle, I hook them, if they don't, I'm going for the hatch.

It's kinda irritating, when you trying to carry a survivor to a hatch, and they keep wiggling even if they see you're passing the hooks.

So if they wiggle - hook them.

    To OP:

    1. Killer was not sure if they can carry you safely to the hook.
    2. Killer was angered by you or your teammates, and decided to "punish you" like that.
  • "Am I the only dbd player who don't give a single "esh" about charms, and don't even pays attention on who's wearing which one...?"

I might sound really rude here, but... I think if behaviour remove charms from a game, (as someone said...) no one will even notice it. xD

  • "IF YOU DC AGAINST NURSE, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM"

Yes. It's all I can say.

  • If survivors didn't escape, he\she dead.

    "Released" from a trial... What?

No, only 2 endings - You escaped, or you died (sacrificed).

  • What in the "hill of all hills" going on in this thread...?

"Why so many people on this forum care about 1 guy's winrate?"

If you have 99% winrate as a killer - you're insanely good as killer, I wish you even more wins in the future!

You don't need to prove anything to anyone, stay cool... Be mature.

I mean, I know how quickly gens can be repaired, so definitely no for that one.

personally if i get a killer whos doing well, im on death hook and maybe someone else is with most of the gens left and then the killers whole gameplay style changes and theyre all of a sudden a baby, i find that very offensive

i dont need you to go easy on me, idc about pips or bp, its just plain offensive that you think i need you to hold my hand. just play normally, kill me and my team mercilessly at 5 gens left. tunnel, slug and camp to your hearts content, chase me on sight when im death hook, etc. if we never stood a chance, dont make us stand a chance

its like facing your 6yo nephew in a halo 3 1v1. you absolutely should just destroy him, and humiliate him so bad that the bloodline cannot continue with him, not go easy on him, let him win, then tell him you went easy on him just so he could have fun because you are the superior player. (more simply, theres a difference between simply being better and rubbing it in your opponents face how much better you are, the analogy is a little off since if you never told your nephew, hed never know, but the player youre vsing does know regardless of you telling them)

I was never telling them in the end-chat that I actually went easy on them. Imo, thats cringe as hell. xD

Most survivors that noticed that, just saying "gg, thank you!" on which I reply with "Gl and hf in next!" Thats it.

Never in this game, I was bragging like: "I went easy on you guys", or "I was puposely throwing". Thats really cringy to me, and yes... Thats exactly why you can get offensive, I understand that.

"if we never stood a chance, dont make us stand a chance" - Why?! This is exactly what I don't understand!

There is a lot of unfair scenarios, when some killers just can't play serious, like: dc from the beggining, suicide on a first hook, killer went against "baby survivors", survivors just joking and messing around... I can't play serious sometimes ya know? xD

Ofc the fun part about this game is playing against strong survivors that you can just playing without holding yourself back, and giving your best till the very end.

But sometimes, the most fun part about this game is exactly some goofy scenarios or moments, that you can laugh at. xD

  • Usually for killer, 3k is a win, 2k is a draw.

For survivors it's only "Escaped or not".

Hatch don't count, you can consider it as a draw, coz it's random.

Personally, I hate farming and just want out of that game. I always prefer to just play a normal match. Especially given how quick queues are now, it's quicker to just play normal games than it is to farm for eternity in a single game.

When you playing a killer, you probably had messages from some survivors like: "What a tryhard", "go outside", "sweatlord". =)

Some survivors don't like when killer is sweating, some survivors don't like when killer is gives in on purpose...

You just can't please everyone. xD

noone i know really cares about bp, but in cases of a dc i just want some chases and to go next. forcing me to just completely give up gives me no bp (i dont care about that so no biggie), and gives me no gameplay (which is usually the reason people play games)

It's not actually even about bp or pips... I think at the whole - it's actually playing the game for fun, and don't sweat when you don't need to.

Look, let's say... You're playing a survivor and you're facing a "god nurse" for example, and this nurse is sweating as hell from the beggining to the point of none of the survivors have done anything and they're all on death hook.

Then this nurse just "turning down" for a bit and letting them complete some stuff, she still chasing them, but playing less efficient on purpose, is it really a bad thing to do as a killer?

I've seen some people even finding this rude when someone gives in on purpose, like: "I don't need you to go easy on us", it's actually feel like it has something to do with their ego.

Why do the killer needs to be sweaty, if he\she facing a survivors which are clearly not matching them for example? (MMR issue)

I’ve been there, everyone on death hook before even a gen has popped. I’ve backed off to let them at least play a bit before kill anyone but it’s still a form of farming. I know you said you wanted to give them a chance to not de-pip etc but if they are telling you to hook they obviously don’t want to hang around for that. I personally would just hook them.

Whenever time I see they pointing at the hook, I'm hooking them. Otherwise it's just forcefully holding them at the game which is not right.

My question is why? Why just don't do gens and go next with a lot of points? Personally I don't understand.

    @xni6_ said:

some people like to play the game instead of farming, and would rather that you just end the game so they can play another match, instead of having to dc and lose all event progress and bp from that game

They completed only 1 gen, even if they stay and don't dc, they're not going to gain much if killer just decides to kill without hesitation.

  • No, they're on a death hook already. xD I don't actually farm with them, I'm just letting them to do some stuff before killing them. If the match is about to be over pretty quickly.

They pointing at the hook, coz they just want this match to end.

I wouldn't say most, but it's definitely split the player base in another direction.

You simply can't know what any given player will consider 'fun', and there are wildly different opinions. So there is no correct course of action.

    You can't play nice.

    You can't play sweaty.

    You can't farm.

    You can't end games quickly.

Because you will get complaints whatever you do. So don't worry, don't read the end game chat, just do whatever you're going to do, and if the survivors take issue with that, it's their problem. They made their bed.

It's a shame because the most fun games are always the ones where everyone is on the same page. The anniversary event was great, because I was able to dominate the start of most matches as Dredge, secure my 2 hooks per survivor, maybe kill one, and they'd more or less get all 5 gens done in that time. The amount of times it worked out that I'd orchestrate this 1K scenario that everyone benefitted from, without actually needing to pause the game and farm, keeping the pace so that everyone thought I was playing normally, it was great.

Sadly that doesn't happen anymore, since 6.1 everyone just gives up the moment they stop 'having fun'.

Yes! I think this is exactly why I'm getting confused over my gameplay.

It's different opinions from a different people.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Some people just don't like farming. I personally don't mind it now and then.

As for the not hooking comment. Were you slugging? I personally can't stand when you get farming killers that slug over and over. It gets tedious after a few slugs.

No, it's survivors just standing by the hook and pointing at it.

Ranks (now grades) arent tied to matchmaking anymore, they're specifically for the monthly reset bonus BP. People have distilled their win condition specifically into escaping or killing, as that is what the MMR scores are based off of. Most people just dont care about pips and it shows.

Some of them still do care tho, mostly ofc I have a positive messages after such matches, but some of them are just... Idk it's weird.

I remember the same thing happened with Plague's Maiden Guard cosmetic, the one that's currently being recolored in the rift. Half of her face lacks animation because normally that part of the face isn't there. Seems like it's the same thing with Swamp Creature Hag.

They could probably rig the mouth better so that it syncs up with her base mouth (maybe it was a clipping issue?), but for the eyes, there's nothing to tie them to, so they just sort of sit there. I don't think they usually create new model animation for skins unless they're legendaries, though I could be wrong - the most we see is usually glowing textures.

It'd be nice if they touched this up, though.

I saw her eyes didn't move even in a trailer, I was ok with it actually, it's not that big of a deal.=)

But the mouth (jaw), I was actually surprised and... Disappointed. =(

Her animations contain: Drinking (after hit animation), chewing (mori), almost all her animations contain some jaw movement. xD

You just HAVE TO animate this part of her face. If not, then this outfit will actually looks like a suit with a mask on.

If they can't do that for some reasons that you were saying... Well... I'm just gonna having it, but not using it. xD

sorry my english is not the best, i mean i cant enter the game, so my account has been banned, yes. But sadly they dont write exactly why only "chat violation" and they also dont write if its permanent or just for some hours.

Well, first of all, check your mail. When someone getting banned, usually they bring the reason and time in the mail box on which your account is.

Second: create a support ticket, it's the only way for you to at least have an answer, if not appeal even.

  • Is there even a thing like "Permanent chat ban"?

Perma ban is only considered to accounts. Not chats.

Try to use it after 24 hours.

He said it would still deactivate at end game in his post. Just edited my post to reflect that.

    Now I see.=)

Completely agree, DS right now is just nothing, tbh. I don't know why they nerfed it to 3 seconds in a first place. The only problem with DS was, when survivors were abusing it in the end game to have a 100% escape after being unhooked.

They got rid of the main problem, there was no need to nerf it further.

  • I like the idea, but it still should go off, when all gens are done.

  • What I like:

    1. Last one standing mechanic.
    2. Basekit mori.

    What I don't like:

    1. Basekit unbreakable will remove a huge chunk of your pressure capability, since no one needs to get slugged survivor up.
    2. Camping and tunneling will be more agressive and more efficient. Which is bad for both sides imo.
    3. "High mmr" bully squad will get even more annoying.

Honestly, they should've make it so basekit unbreakable will appear only if 2 survivors left, to prevent the killer from slugging third survivor for a 4k. No need to give survivors infinite unbreakable for a whole match.

Slugging survivors when there is 4 of them often times is a really good tactical move to create pressure. By removing this pressure, killers will have to camp and tunnel more. Not cool.

Didn’t peanits specifically state (and other devs on livestreams) that very few players are actually high MMR? It seems that a plethora of killer mains believe themselves to have high MMR, but that doesn’t really match anything BHVR has officially said about MMR. I think, as you mentioned, it’s important to recognize that facing skilled players doesn’t necessarily mean oneself is at high MMR. And while I do believe more killer mains occupy the high MMR bracket than survivor players, I do not believe that facing a specific caliber of survivor means the killer player is at high MMR. None of this even considers the soft cap.

Matchmaking indeed chaotic right now, but for some of my killers... I'm playing (each match) against 3-4 people in a group (I can tell by the end-game chat), with prestige level 40-100.

But even tho, why are they so toxic and hateful, disrespectful and cringe?

The worst part about it, is that I'm actually starting to hate survivor mains to the point of actually start slugging, camping and tunneling like crazy.

Giving the last one hatch? Hell no, never in this game.

I have always wondered how people know their MMR is high though, I'm not disputing that OP is high MMR because those are behaviours that I rarely see and I'm an average solo Q player so I don't expect to be in the higher echelons of the game.

Hell, as killer I'd be right at the bottom of the pile and I'm still battered whenever I play lol.

But, how many people claim to be or believe that they are in a high MMR when in reality they are bang in the middle and just not as good as they think they are, or is there a way to tell?

You're waiting in queue a little longer than usual, aside from the current time.

Survivors in your lobby are really... "Fashioned" and they also having a high prestige levels, 40 or above for now.

And in the game as I mentioned above.

If you're having a lot of cheaters in your matches, there is also a reason of high mmr.

  • @AcelynnBen said:

Welcome to High MMR where somehow people instead of being respectful and with brain they are the opposite

i really recommend just lowering your mmr its just pretty bad it does feel good when u punish the HELL out of them but most of the time its not worth it

and quick tip if someone keeps teabagging, forget the respect, MAKES THEM SUFFER, and if the whole team does it more than once....well you know what to do you (and general rule of life if u see a lobby with no items just put franklin's or lightborn on )

also watch someone tell you how do you know your mmr is high or mmr doesn't exist

Lowering mmr is something I was thinking about of recently. Because it's just really unfun to play. I mean, I'm still winning the matches, but it's just a "bitter after taste" left from these matches.

I was looking for more interesting and close games when I was playing against strong survivors, I did not expect to see what I've seen from it.

"also watch someone tell you how do you know your mmr is high or mmr doesn't exist" :

I mean... Every single killer main who was playing long enough can tell even without knowing numbers. Each killer on 1 account has own mmr.

Literally 1 chase is enough to tell, if this survivor is really good or bad or a cheater. Am I wrong?=) And if you having 3-4 really good survivors almost every match, that means you're probably playing at or above 1600 (or whatever).

  • Actually... I didn't even noticed, but I stopped saying "gg" at the end like... At all.

I forgot when was the last time I actually spelled gg at the end chat. xD

Overall, it's not that serious to me, it's just 2 letters...

  • Skin for Yui, Artist, Hag, looks pretty dope.

Actually I don't know how to feel about Hag's "swamp creature", looks goofy as hell. xD

    Also thank you for list!

  • Comparing previous blighted skins and these 2... I was expecting more tbh.=)

Both blighted skins looks underwhelming imo.

  • How to counter that?

    1. Play hag without shackles.
    2. Don't put traps under the hook.

    And you good to go.

So you think those occasions are just 100% proof they're scripting and not just using dead hard by chance?

Because for me that's like when someone is hiding in a locker, and the killer happens to search that locker right away instead of others. It's not proof the killer is hacking, it's coincidence.

You're protecting a clear auto-dh scenarios is so sus to me. =)

If you think otz proof isn't enough... Read this, please...

I'm playing a lot of games as a Hag, and I have at least 3 out of 10 games with subtle cheaters, due to my mmr.

Recently, I was having 2 characters in different matches: Ada and David. Now try to protect this scenarios...

    1. I knew that David have a DH, coz he used it before, so David stepped while injured on a trap while I was busy drawing one, so it took me a good 1 second to teleport, when I teleported he was quite far from me to hit, but I still lunge due to muscle memmory (insta teleport hit), guess what? He used DH out of no where being far from me right at the same time as I just started a lunge. He was using DH perfectly before, while he was pretty bad at looping.
    2. Now with Ada on another match... Same thing: I knew she has DH, and she was injured, I was chasing her to a pallet, and then she dropped it. We end up at the different sides of a pallet just staring at eachother, then I decided to M1 this pallet to scare her away, guess what? She used DH for 0 reason, again at the same time with my M1. She was on the other side of a pallet, why using DH?

No matter how much I wait for DH in these 2 games, they never using it, when I don't M1. And these 2 guys using DH perfectly even without looking behind. This is nonsence.

I'm reporting every single such situation, I know, there is A LOT of auto-dh users.

As in League of Legends there are champions that are very outdated and Riot makes them a complete VISUAL REWORK for those who know League of Legends, Mundo, Udyr, Urgot among others had their large-scale visual rework, speaking of DBD, I think the Wraith has become very obsolete compared to 2022 after 6 years... I think BHVR should do a complete VISUAL REWORK to make it a real wraith

I think NO ONE thought of him today.

    What do u think, devs?

I don't think he needs a complete visual rework. IMO, all outdated killers just needs some animation adjustment.

Look at the new killers animations, how they turn, how they move after a hit animation, moris... OG killers still looks good, but their animations outdated.

Hag requires competent team work to even stand a chance against.

In my opinion, she's the strongest killer after Nurse,

Your playstyle is disgusting to go against, Let's look at what you wrote...

    1. First of all, brake her 3-gen. You do this gen, I do this gen...
    2. Someone needs to go after her with a flashlight and remove as much traps as possible.
    3. Call out about all traps she puts, and destroy them when she's carrying someone.

Your ''counter'' to Hag is to have excellent communicative skills, that means solo players instantly lose against Hag.

The perks are all meta, the cicada is one the top 3 add-ons for her, 3 gening is always ignored by solo players, and even if one or two players noticed it, the rest won't.

Why did you make this thread? Do you really need us to convince you that you played fairly?

Wait what.. xD Why my playstyle is disgusting?=) You think I should proxy-camp and tunnel like others and have more less fun matches?

In the match I was describing they were not a soloq. They were 4 people on discord with a clear intent to escape, not for fun.=) I watched the replay.

About perks... I'm up against a strong survivors almost each match due to a lot of 3-4k, I mentioned I'm playing on high mmr, survivors always bring most meta perks against me, especially DH which is so good against hag insta teleport, flashlights and toolboxes...

You want me to don't proxy camp, don't tunnel, don't run any perks? Oo

    I don't think you've read my thread correctly.=)

I've said why I maked this thread in my first message btw, look at the end.=)

  • You're still not going to reach.=) I played hag through scrollwheel, still wasn't enough to reach, so I went back to ctrl. I got used to its timing.

At some point most Survivors can counter a Killer but pressure gets to some of them and they start thinking of saving teammates rather then continuing with the counter

There are some Survivors who just don't care (want to have a good time rather then sweat)

Have ideas of how to do it but get shutdown

There are a lot of reasons... but yea anytime a SWF losses they blame the Killer rather then looking at what each other did

Well, I'm not gonna lie, I'm sweating as heck when I'm up against a strong survivors. But mostly because I play her differently. I'm trying to play her as less annoying as possible as I mentioned in my first message. Me and survivors are actually having more fun when I play that way.=)

A good ammount of survivors after my games in the end-game chat were really bumped up and had a lot of fun, they were not mad at all even if they lost. But when survivors getting angry at me even knowing that I don't proxy camp or tunnel as hag... Actually kinda upsets me sometimes.=)

  • @lagosta said:

I can't speak for those guys, but I will shed my perspective on versing a Hag. I will go through on your items first:

    1. Breaking a 3 gen against a hag is harder than it sounds. Corrupt Intervention sets you up for a 3 gen immediately as by the time survivors mobilize to available gens, you have time to set a web in the vicinities. Hags can also use Corrupt as a safety net. In case the game is derailing and you lost your 3 gen before downing someone, you can migrate to the 3 blocked gens and set a web there (excepting when you've spawned in the middle of the map, then tough luck). Finally, breaking a 3 gen also requires at least 2 coordinated survivors.
    2. Setting someone to distress the Hag by disabling traps can be tough as it requires a Flashlight or practice activating the traps while shifting your direction away from it. This alternative does not demands a coordinated team, however, requiring an item to properly counter a killer is just a coin toss where the odds are stacked against you as the killer can dodge the lobby if they see 2+ flashlights. Also, it's not always possible to trigger a trap and dodge a hit with movement alone, especially if you're already injured.
    3. Call out traps again requires coordination and vision. The former requiring voice comms as we have no in-game means of communicating danger, and latter being difficult to achieve in cramped indoor spaces where one has little alternatives of movement. Knowing were traps are also doesn't solve the issue of disarming them as you need a specific item. IMO, Hag's power is fundamentally annoying to deal with, it's an item check.

Yes, I completely agree on all 3 points. I never anywhere said that hag is easy to counter, but here's a thing.

I could tell by their account lvl (at least one of them), that they were playing this game for a really long time, much longer than me, and if the matchmaking system matches them with me (I've had a lot of 3-4k for a long time with Hag), that means that these guys have escaped a lot of matches. Which is also means, that they're good. I also looked up for their previous matches just to see how they loop a killer and etc... They're playing for wins clearly. They're "sweating".

What am I trying to say... Guys, if you want to win in your games, you have to use a counter tactic against each killer you're facing. If you're good against Oni, it doesn't mean that the same tactic will be good against hag. Besides, you know how to play against her, why you got tilted and silently throw a match after first hook?

Yes I know, hag is rare. So thats probably why they got comfy against certain killers and probably got rusty against a hag...

Also, you don't really need a flashlight against hag, you can trigger trap and instantly change your direction to prevent a hit. Only if you expect the trap in that place...

  • @badrepo said:

Don’t let people like that get to you. Hag mains in general get my respect but your play style makes it better and even sounds pretty fun, for you and the survivors. When I play hag I’m guilty of playing proxy hook hag most of the time, don’t judge me lol.

To your question, I think it’s the explanation is SWFs tend to be way too altruistic, making dumb moves to save their friends at all costs. This is made worse when they “think” you are camping/tunneling or they “feel” you are playing unfairly. You did absolutely nothing wrong teleporting back to the guy who needed his flashlight back, that was his misplay, and your opportunity.

I actually don't care if they got salty or whatever... I'm just wandering... Is this an actual kind of survivors, who's always asking for certain killer reworks, or nerfs?

Because it feels like this is exactly a kind of survivors, which asking for killer reworks or nerfs... And this is not right.

Don't ask for a nerf or rework, if you can't play against it properly. Hag is not op.

  • If survivors will have infinite unbreakables, killers should have infinite moris when they dead on hook. Hands down.
