The fact that it counts people being on the hook is terrible in my opinion. All killer will have to do is proxy the 3rd survivor to get a 4k most of the time.
I think 4th survivor will never unhook the 3rd survivor, he will hide untill hatch, as the only option.

It’s only one mori animation per match but that’s obviously way more than right now where most matches have no moris. Also note that Devour Hope now will auto-sacrifice anybody you hook while you have five tokens, so even though there’s no mori animation the net effect of killing survivors on their first or second down is still pretty much the same more or less.
Don't get me wrong, but I could care less about Devour Hope or Rancor in my matches.=) But I do love to use mori offerings...
Devour Hope is just don't exist in my matches, because unfortunately I play on a "high mmr". Hexes at all just doesn't exist for me.
Survivors just know the position of every single totem on every map.

These clods have no idea...

I have nothing against twins, but this slugging nerf was needed. I cant stress enough how much i have been bled out lately just for the killer to stand next to me nodding.
Completely agree.

@HugTheHag said:
The whole purpose of the update is to make Moris more common and appreciate the animations better ??
Why would the moris be removed from Rancor and Devour Hope ?
I get that the effect given in return for Devour is theoretically equivalent (though it's really not as good since if you down someone in a dead zone, you can't kill them as quickly anymore).
But a big part of using Devour Hope (or Ebony Moris) is to see the Mori several times in the game. Specifically Devour, to be rewarded for playing fairly with cool animations.
Devour Hope was already a fragile perk since it could be broken anytime once people realise you have 3 tokens, now at 5 someone can break it after you've downed the survivor, on the way to the hook, and now it's just a normal hook ?
And if that survivor is one that already had 2 hook stages from earlier in the game, Devour 5 gives you literally 0 value from it ?
I really, really detest this change and hope it will not come to live...
I don't know how to feel about moris... We'll still have those as a base-kit... Ehh... Idk.
But I adore the idea of less slugging in the matches.=)

@gatsby said:
To me at least, it seems like the Mori Update is tailored to making 3v1 and 2v1 games end quicker. The Killer can't stall out the game forever or slug for the 4k. It basically just forces the Killer to end it if they have a big advantage.
Its a big nerf to slugging, but it seems like the goal is similar to the endgame collapse: making the game end when its basically over by removing stalling.
I don't know why, but you sould like it's a bad thing. =)
I really think it's a good idea for such situations when killer slugging third survivor to find and kill last one without triggering a hatch.

Anonymous mode doesn't really change anything with regards to reporting.
You still need to make an in-game report against the player - this flags the match to us and links us the player.
Then send your additional evidence (the video) to our Support team as normal - you do not need the ID of the person that you are reporting in order to complete this form. We are able to find the information that you have previously given us in-game.
Not all players can provide a video. Developers or MODS have to carefully watch every single report about cheaters and exploits themselves.
I personally don't even understand the idea of playing a game and record every single match I playing, just to have a cheater banned. This is first for me.
If the only way for you to ban a cheater by video evidence, you have to implement match ID with possibility to download a match and replay.
If you don't record your matches, does it mean, If I report a cheater it will be useless if I have no evidence?
I refuse to download OBS or using Nvidia recording while I'm just playing a game. The game should not require that.

My least played killer is Blight, because...
- He's hard to learn, even if you did learn him, he's hard to play.
- Driving mouse left and right through whole table is not a healthy way of playing. In my opinion.
- I don't like making changes in my keyboard or mouse, just to play certain killers.
- "Hugging techs" or other stuff that you have to "learn" on him is a clear bugs, I don't like using bugs.
I would love to play him tbh, I like the design, I like sounds, I like animations, I like the power, but... I can't, it's so weird.
Blight is just not my type of killer. Sadly.

So according to the rules working with the opposite team is reportable and it's under griefing, but what if that's not what's happening? There were 4 scenarios I wanted to ask about...
1: A teammate is purposely blowing gens, body blocking survivors into corners, not helping and going out of their way to teabag, not unhooking someone but starting the animation to grief. If survivors are practically trying to work with the killer (and I hope I clarified I don't mind simply playing selfishly) is it bannable for the survivors to work with the killer to get them out and get on to a normal game?
2: A survivor is clearly or subtly hacking and the other survivors can tell so they body block and point out the survivor's position to get them killed.
3: (Usually only works on the killer's side). The player needs a challenge or an achievement so instead of playing normally they are friendly so the survivors will let them meet their goals.
4: On that note can you get in trouble for holding a hacker hostage?
Sorry if this was a dumb question but it's something I think about at night, especially watching videos of some really popular players going against real griefers and hackers. Thank you everyone for reading! ^^
- If a survivor purposely making the game unwinnable or unplayable to other survivors - bannable. Working with killer to get down other survivors - bannable. You have to have an evidence of that.
- Hackers (cheaters) are not players. If you play online game with cheats, your reports have no meaning. If survivors have a cheater in their team, don't report them for helping you (if you're a killer).
- Farming, doing archives or achievements are not bannable.
- Read point 2.
If you want argue about cheaters, feel free. =)

Well, still, not killer falt. Killers can have preferences, he wanted you dead.
The exact D-k move was from your teammate in this situation.

There are two survivors left usually me and someone else, and the killer can't find me because I'm off doing a generator in the farthest regions of the map. If they come around, I'll go and hide because I don't wanna be caught, because I wanna keep playing. The killer always runs into the other survivor, and eventually lets the survivor go. What does the other survivor do? Run them right over to me and points me out, just so they can farm me right off the hook until I die and the killer lets the other survivor escape. This is the 3rd time this happened this week, why do you killers do this just because you can't find me?
Killer just want his 4k.
What your teammate done to you, is a clear TOS braking and you should report that.

The things you say are not toxic, most definitely are… are they not bad behavior towards others? Your very own google definition of toxic?
Most survivors always want to bully/antagonize killers in the name of “fun.” It is toxic, they know exactly what they’re doing. And tbh I think you know all the things you listed as “not toxic,” are just that. You’re just trying to play off words to defend it, but your definition and list of not toxic behavior contradicts itself. In my humble little opinion.
Well, I totally the opposite.=)
I don't get offended by T-bags, or being hit on a hook, to me it's just a simple game things that don't affect the match at all.=)
But if this person, purposely wasting my time, telling really bad stuff at the end-game chat, or using cheats, or using bugs to somehow hold me hostage or getting advantage, I'm actually feel like this person "attacking" me as a person through the monitor, if you got what I'm trying to tell.=)
To me, this is exactly what toxicity in dbd means. Not T-bags or etc.
Also, don't pay too much attention to what I've searched from Google.
@sulaiman said:
Can you explain why T-Bags are not toxic?
If a player getting angry at who T-bags, I think this is their personal matter. I don't find T-bags or nodding toxic.
They're not hurt your gameplay, the match still goes on.

If your intent is purley to try and piss the other person off. Yes, I'd call that toxic behaviour.
I agree.=)
But not everyone are getting angry because of T-bags or F-clicks, or when they getting hit on the hook.
@HugTheHag said:

To each their own :)
If toxicity is hurting the other person, then each player has their own limit as to what "hurts" them, and therefore their own definition of toxicity. Any objective definition of toxicity will then be interpreted, like we're all doing on this post.
I'm glad you've got a tough skin, keeping a clear head during games is essential and you must manage it well ! ^^
You can't be even more accurate.=)

Exactly. Intent is everything.
I remember I created once a post about being hold hostage as a Hag on a Garden of Joy map. What I'm trying to say...
The only moments when I got really angry and mad in this game, are the moments when I'm facing subtle cheaters or people that want to waste as much of my time as possible, want to waste my effort I put into this match, and people who's not playing the game, they just here to make you feel angry to the point that you don't wanna play.
To me, the exact intent of "hurting" the person behind the monitor is exactly what I see as a "toxic behaviour". And thankfully, they're all bannable.=)
-
@HugTheHag said:
I appreciate your effort to break down the behaviors of players, but I don't agree with all your points.
In your post, you put the definition of toxicity ("having a bad attitude or behaviour towards other players which hurts the community or the game itself"), and then in your 4 toxic points you reworked the definition as "any behavior or attitude breaking the rules of the game".
In my opinion (which might be wrong), excessive teabags or clicks, hitting on hook/nodding, can be considered toxic according to the definition you looked up. They're all behavior executed specifically with the intention to irritate or insult the other player, which (at least in my books) counts as "having a bad attitude towards other players".
Now, I personally am not that bothered by teabags and I've had honestly lovely chats with people who clicked or teabagged during the game. But I won't argue with someone who feels hurt or humiliated by such behaviors, which were done with this very purpose, if they call that toxic.
(Please do not take offense to this comment : I'm simply giving my thoughts on the subject, I don't mean to undermine or reduce what you're saying)
I added "Hitting survivors on hooks" in not toxic.=) Thank you, I completely forgot about it.=)
Don't even think about any "offense" by your comment, you're completely free to express your thoughts!
I appreciate your opinion. =)
So you think any behaviour or acts to irritate or insult the other player should be considered as toxic behaviour?=)

I don't really talk to them cause I assume they don't read the chat and I have crossplay on, so I'm not really ranting or lecturing my teammates.
Thats why I told: Just try.=)
I mean, you can't really do much or "deal" with new players in your matches if you already got into a match.
The only thing you can do is to prevent these matches in a first place. Dodge them if you see the "signs" of a new player. That should be an answer.
-
I'd really love to know as well.
-
Well, first of all:
- Don't rant at them, don't scream at them, don't get angry with them.
- In the end-chat, try to speak with them and give them advice, teach them basics.
- Give them advice to watch some guides on a YT or other.
If it's really bothers you in your matches, try to give some advice to any new player you got matched with. It's not gonna take too much of your time. But you can make them play better next time.=)
-
Important question is: How do you know that they're dodging coz of someone's prestige? =)
-
"The killer camped on-top of the hatch and when I ran into the room, he slammed it in my face. Why? Just slam it when you find it?"
Just read this: Survivors "camped" the opened exit gates waiting for a killer to T-bag and flashy click the hell out. Why? Just leave and don't wait for a killer?

@SmarulKusia said:
I am, by no means one of the best survivor players, I'd like to say I am above average though.
When the big update came, I was largely unaffected as the only 'META' perk I used was BT, cool. But with all the favourable changes to killer, the game has become so lopsided, that I lose my appetite to finish my games nowadays.
I am getting killers that are only ever winning because they are playing in toxic and scummy ways. Not because I am getting outplayed. Not because the killer is good at playing their character. No. Yesterday, I had a game against a Wesker, I wasn't downed once - He was absolutely dog at chase, failed to hit his dash, and just didn't have good map awareness. My teammates were weaker in chase than me, and unfortunately ended up all being sacrificed, at the expense of him pretty much face-camping the hook. Upon the last hook, it turned into a game of RNG, who finds hatch first. Unfortunately, I don't get anything out of escaping through hatch but saving my item. The killer camped on-top of the hatch and when I ran into the room, he slammed it in my face. Why? Just slam it when you find it?
Game after game, I am running into killers that are simply boosted. They can't chase, they can't pressure gens. They are aware of it, and resort to camping the hook of whoever the poor soul is that got caught. You 'stats' say that you weren't happy with the kill-rate, that it needs to be higher? Are you trying to make the killer role braindead? #########? I feel lied to, and betrayed by BHVR.
The quality of the games are steadily going down, where after weeks of not touching the game, 2-3 games is enough for me to not want to touch the game again.
I'm really sorry, but I feel like you just opened this "survivor rule-book" and just judjing the killers that you were against.=)
There is no such thing in a match as "toxic" as long as you're not braking basic rules of the game, like:
- Holding someone hostage.
- Using real exploits.
- Helping the killer to expose your teammates. (as a survivor)
- insults person in the end-game chat, in consequence of the way they played.
Any tactic or gameplay you should not consider as "toxic or scummy".
Besides, if you're saying that they can't chase, can't pressure gens, can't do that and this... Are you losing to such killers?
If yes, imo there is some skill issue.=)

I suggest you play someone who takes good advantage of STBFL or blight/wesker.
It's relatively easy, especially if the survivor dares to dedicate a slot to DH or OTR and you just hit them off hook. Imagine a 6 stack STBFL clown with a bottle thrown to the hook as a survivor unhooks. He comes into range just as it's done and hits the surv with 7 stacks now,the killer barely has a cooldown,Survivor has the basekit BT + the now severely reduced injured speed boost.
If there's a slight dead zone (which if you got downed there there probably is) - you might just be ######### immediately. And that's a ######### clown. What if you get hit by someone who can follow up with a high speed M2?
Well, before 6.1 if you got unhooked without BT, you go down instantly after a hook.=) Now even if killer have STBFL, you still at least have more time to reach a pallet or window to at least start the chase again. xD
-
Actually never tunneled someone before 6.1, and after.=)
But i'd say there is no way it's easier to tunnel after 6.1 with basekit bt. Sure DS is a quite sad perk now but still.
-
Mainly I play Hag, Nurse, Artist, Spirit. I also play on pretty high mmr.
I'd love to enjoy killers like: Billy, Trapper, Dredge, Sadako, GF, or any other below A tier, on my mmr they just feel completely hopeless.=)
I'm still reassuring myself, that it's nothing to do with tiers, I'm just playing them wrong.
Hag for me still the best killer, I love making tactical decisions while playing a killer, learned how to play her from one of the best hags in dbd, really enjoying playing her.=)

@Hannacia said:
I mean...its Bubba... 95% of Bubbas play like this or they facecamp / insidious camp. Nothing new here.
Seems like you don't understand the whole main thing of playing like this bubba. Allow me to fill you with some knowledge.=)
So matches like this:
- First and foremost - it's not fun expirience for hooked person in any way. You got only 1 chase and the rest of your match you're just looking at the killer. Thats it.
- I can't find how it's fun for a killer either. For me it's the most boring thing you can do as a killer. I mean, the whole concept of this game is forbidden at this point. No chases, just stand and watch at the hooked guy. I mean... -_-? (don't get me wrong, camping when all gens done, is ok, nothing wrong with that, coz it's a perfect time if you want kills)
- Matches when the first person gets facecamped by Bubba are poor with bloodpoints and pips. By the end of the match, no one will get more than 13-15k of bp. At this point, even if you escaped as a survivor, you're not getting much, coz you didn't even been chased or unhooked, or healed, etc.
(Personally) I think matches like this, is a complete waste of time for a killer, and 4 fellas who's playing in 1 lobby.
It is, an unhealthy way of playing this beautiful game.

For me dbd at its best isn't necessarily about fear but really close games where it feels it could go either way for most of the match, which is still pretty tense
From a psychological point of view, in the new environment (people start to play a new game) people first and foremost paying attention to the atmosphere, which is on certain maps are pretty dark, gloomy, scary. Behaviour really nailed it.
Add to that atmosphere a TR (Terror Radius), and this is pretty much the combination to make the player be afraid and alarmed. Not to mention the genuine ubnormal look of some killer characters.
But people get used to any environment if they spend a lot of time in this environment, and fear is practically go away itself.
Aside from as you said "Tension".=) Tense of being chased is something that people not getting used to, it's more like an emotion they experience on a regular basis. Plus survivors just wants to outplay a killer in simple words. This is exactly why this game is not getting boring even for the most experienced and old players. Some players are actually addicted to this game, don't forget. =)

❤️ Behaviour!

Hag is just irritating to go against since she can just trap hooks and semi-camp them. Yes, you can crouch, but as soon as you go for the unhook, it triggers.
Although these survivors are pretty horrible, how'd they lose with 2 bnps?? They also have flashlights, they can burn your traps easily. They also chose the map offerings. Yes, you played hag, a strong killer, but they brought equally strong crap.
Amm, no.=) Even if hag put a trap under the hook, survivors can do a safe unhook without triggering it by crouching. It only works if BOTH survivors are insta-crouching.
I'm not gonna lie, it was so hilarious to see a crouching survivor going for unhook, while there were no traps under the hook, and I was just watching them from a excavator. xD
They were not horrible, I wouldn't say that, but they were pretty lazy. Some of my traps were really hard to spot, since I hid them in the objects like grass. But there were traps a little beside windows in a clear view. Like there is no way you don't see that trap it's full in the open. And they still triggered it - got hit, went to a near pallet, with another trap in the grass. -_- To me, they were just being lazy and played carelessly.
Tho 2 survivors at the beggining were trying to get my attension by triggering a trap and running away, clicking the flashlight while doing so. They were clearly confident and underestimated the killer.
I've had Franklin's, their flashy's were gone after 1 hit and never return, since I put a trap on them instantly, they couldn't manage to take them back.=)

I'm absolutelly agree with you.=) In my matches it's always 1 or 2 survivors that constantly getting hit by a traps, goofing around and playing with traps, and the other 3 or 2 are actually playing smart, disarming traps when I'm busy and trying to steal 1 gen from my 3gen webbing.=)

She said that this game can get my attension, and oh boy she was right.=)

I don't know if it's sad or hilarious that half of Hag's rarest add-ons prevent her from teleporting xD
People were using such addons just for mem builds, Nurse have similar with 1 blink only. Unfortunatelly you can't play on a high-caliber with such builds.=)
If everything, I know that hag has 2\3 most irritating addons, it's Rusty shackles and Dried cicada \ Necklet. I stopped using shackles, since survivors were constantly DC from my matches after 1-2 downs. They were actually refusing to play at all. Only a few games I was able to play till the end with all 4 survivors. But they didn't escape tho...
So I got rid of this addon, and now... Almost every single game with hag people at least playing till the end without dc, I'm pretty fine with that.=)

A) What are your graphic settings? I love how vibrant these screenshots are--my game is so dull by comparison.
B) Hag is my least favorite killer to face--primarily because her counterplay is "slow is safe"
On paper, Hag really isn't that difficult to play against. She has a lot of things going for her, with area control, but her counter is pretty easy if survivors are methodical and deliberate about their actions. They can always default to resetting far from the Hag's web, but it turns her matches into a game of attrition, somewhat like the Plague.
It's not very fun to play against, especially because she doesn't chase--and that is where the thrill of DBD comes for experienced players.
C) I'm surprised you ran Franklin's, considering they only had 2 beemers and no medkits. I assume BNP on toolboxes, which would instantly rule out Franklin's value on half the survivors. The beemers are obviously a detriment to your kit, but I wouldn't have assumed 2 green batteries and filaments--looks like it was a good call for you in the end.
A) Thank you.=) I'm using max out graphic in settings, with Nvidia GeforceExpirience tools in the game. No advantages in gameplay just to make a pretty picture.
B) Survivors that escaped against me, were really thrilled in the end-game chat, I can tell they were having a really good time and worked hard. By the end of the match in the chat, they were throwing compliments to each other and me, but it only happens, when they escape! Thats what I don't understand...
C) If I can be honest, long ago while I was learning this killer, I didn't use Franklin's at all.=) And there was 1 really depressing match which I never forget with 1 survivor with a flashlight. He was following me everywhere watching every single trap I placed and almost instantly shine them off, If I try to spook him off or chase him, he always run to a near pallet or window, taking a hit if needed. This match I lost with 1 hook just because of this 1 guy with flashlight.=) I even stopped playing hag, I thought it was a really bad killer. Now I learned to put traps into the stuff like grass or behind the edges and run Franklin's to insta draw a trap over dropped items and... My games got much easier a lot less stressful.=)
@Zen_but_not_Zen said:
I don't mind playing against them usually, but loads of traps all around the hook is kind of annoying, my screen goes bonkers when i run through them all haha. Seems like a waste putting so many in one place though for those who do it.
Long ago, I was putting only 1 trap under the hook, never understood why some Hag's putting multiple traps, and I've no idea how they were suppose to win with 5 or 4 traps in 1 spot. -_- Now I understand that you better put traps much further, so you'll hit survivor from a far, and he will come to a hook injured already.

I think if survivors knows how to deal with her, she's really enjoyable to vs. I'm not winning everysingle game with her, there are some swf or really good soloq who easily beats me and having a really good impression after the match.
So... In my case, if all 4 escaped, they bumped up and praise each other. But when they lost and died, "Hag is so boring", "I hate that killer". I mean... -_- There is no way that only if you won, it was a gg and fun match.

It's frustrating because it requires you to bring an item to counter her power which doesn't matter if she has franklins, so constantly crouch walking around in any situation is an annoyance, because they may or may not have the add-ons that allow them to teleport across the map. There's nothing fun going against that. (back then, Urban would've been the best thing to ever bring)
I even remember going against a Hag that had the add-on to teleport across the map and she was on the other side of the map when I went to painfully slowly crouch walk in the basement to get the save. By the time I rescued and made it to the top of the stairs is when she was able to to make it back, and she had franklins so our flashlights didn't matter. it was so miserable.
Also the other problem, because Hag sucks at chasing, she has to choose a three gen and basically set camp and play around it which isn't fun for the other side. And a lot of killers likes to be able to chase and aren't fond of Hag's play style.
Obviously these survivor's you were playing against were being pretty comp with the map offering and toolboxes, but I'm saying in general, these are the reasons why Hag is irritating to play against. Hag has franklin's to counter flashlights, and has built-in camping and can camp while being on the other side of the map (with certain add-ons), Also the bs rusty shackles add-on. Overall killers that have built in camping, slugging, etc. is just not fun to go against. Also some ppl just don't like going against trapped based killers.
Well in my case, I didn't use any "overpowered" addons, I was not camping (didn't put traps under the hook) or tunneling at all. The only "irritating" thing about my playstyle was Franklin's... If people getting mad over her power, why is she still the same as before the buff?

You are prestige 12 with hag. So you invest points from other matches into her or you are pretty used to play her. Many survivors are not used to play against her. In the hands of an average player she is pretty weak, no chance to chase, quite immobile.
I'm not gonna lie, I've invested a lot of time and patience into this killer, I learned her really well and I do enjoy playing her after.=)
Survivors are not used to play against her... Ain't that a skill issue of the survivors?

The only fun thing in the game is interaction with the Killer, and with Hag, 90% of the time the gameplay against her is:
Hag places a Trap -> A Survivor trigger the trap -> She teleports and slaps the Survivor -> She either leave or continue depending if the Survivor is running around her minefield
And you can't do anything about it because thats how her power works, she just teleports and hits you, there's nothing else more to do or to say, with other Killers that chase you, there's a tension building up while the chase goes, and you're thinking like some plays to pull off.
With Hag it's just... teleport -> hit -> teleport -> hit
She's in the club of "fun to play with but not against" with some others specific Killers
Survivors can play smart against her, there is a times you just can't insta hit a survivor, when they react fast. Flashlights, crouchis, defusing them while she carrying someone, I mean, so much to do against her, yet she's more irritating than nurse? Oo

i despise hag, she's my most hated killer in the game, every second i play against a hag i feel miserable. No its not a "skill issue" but ######### hag
Amm... Oke.=)

Because of some perks that survivors have, I can hit a survivor and lose him\her in 1 second.
Periscope... Hmm...

You can if you want, it's called Altruism.

"Difficult", "better player" or "outplayed" is often misspelt as "boring". I blame the education system.
"It's nothing wrong with my doing, it's just stuff doesn't work." So true.
It's a shame to say "I got outplayed", so I'd say it's "boring".

Survivors: Pointing at the killer.
Killer: sweating "Yes... YES... Whatever you're doing, just don't do gens so I will have time to facecamp another one."

Well I do have more good games, rather than bad ones.
People are more addictive to bad matches and remember better bad matches, thats why you see a lot of these posts on a forum.=)

I'm very ashamed, but yes. As a killer I nod to T-bags or some dum playes by survivors. xD
-
I didn't see a match, but I can tell, that killer was not having fun even with 4k at the end.=)

I agree with all of these. But this.
Holding W without looking back in the chases.
Is entirely the devs fault. Blame them for only releasing anti-loop killers for two years.
Well, it's not the point of what I meant, but... If I play Dredge or Artist I do find W-holding by survivors really boring.=)
And I don't blame anyone tho.=)
