  • Yknow, I'm all for being merciful.

Being it I think someone is doing adept so I won't kill them or giving a second chance when I downed everyone because of a missplay from their part early in the game. Even giving mercy kills as survivor when the killer gives up after the gens are done, even if they could've gotten a kill or two.

A killer like that even happened to me this week, so that just makes me want to do it as well <3

Both of these have been debunked. I owned the dlc from day 1. People are getting it who haven't played in months and dont have any DLC

    Well, nice no dlc needed.

Again, I just hope it's not only avaible during this week's login event, cause that wouldn't be cool.

  • Well, looks so far you get it randomly after buying the dlc.

I just hope now it's not a timed thing, cause that would be an ass decision (I mean good, cause people would buy the sadako dlc for a chance for the charm, but still an ass move)

There is counter-play. It's just more difficult. Addons get spent though, and the good ones aren't too common.

    Exactly good sir.

  • I mean they still have A power, alright ?

If you struggle in chases, you chase perks (like brutal strength, hex blood favor, bamboozle, play with your food etc.)

  • No no, you've got a point.

"] nothing should be changed according to them, except solo q experience itself"

One instance of this I heard is they wanted to test new things for the ui, like if a teammate is working on a gen a minimalistic animation would show up around their character's icon signifying they are working on a gen (how the obession's entity sticks or fangs or whatever move a little when it's being chased). Why should they give a buff to people, even if a slight one, just because they are playing solo ? They still play with 3 other players in a team, just no voicechat and less coordiantion.

Sure, those 2 things are the difference between solo q and swf, but if you feel like you really need vc and coordination, just play with a buddy or a group. Again, sure it's not always avaible, but if you don't enjoy the game otherwise then only play with your buddy / friends.

  • Exactly, nice of you to write those tips.

I guess the only problem now is no counter play to a nurse using add-ons. I mean the counterplay is still the same, but yknow. Recharge let's the nurse be more agressive, range let's traverse even faster, and one additional blink is just "easy mode" as someone said.

Still a fairly balanced killer without add-ons. (Balanced as in the expertise she requires to use her power well)

Pro Tipp: stopp caring about escaping.

Even if you die, it dont matter.

Exactly that, just focus on completing archives or getting as much bp as you can (not to the point where you throw the game ofc).

Also this behaviour might've increased because new players. Which is bad because you don't get saved, but good to know new people actually are trying out this game.

Nope, just want to him to run, just like every other game he is in. If he could break stuff, he would end up being the best chase killer because his main ability would break stuff at tier 2 and his mobility would break stuff. In a 1v1 that would make him stronger than he already is.

He's already running in his movement animation.

Equip fire up or PWYF if you feel a need for extra mobility (like i do with Plauge for an example).

  • Well, they already nerfed that "strategy" a bit by removing 50/50 (only 2 people affected by bear traps but way higher chance to kill).

Yeah it's boring from both sides (or atleast for survivors, cause why would you do something boring and not profitable. I guess some Pig players find it "thrilling"), but with how rare it is to go against and how small the chance to die due to it actually is... eh leave it be.

  • Very fun, can't tell where she is at times (even with empathy) like it was with myers or is with freddy in his dream world.

I find myself taking out a tape to safely work on a gen and then forgetting to insert it and almost getting fully condemned xd.

....in chase tho she still an m1 killer, a bit better than looping a legion.

Also mind games and moonwalks usually included with Sadako. Be patient or just loop the loops normally depending on Sadako's behaviour.

  • A nurse I played against was so good I didn't believe he was using a controler. He used Monitor and Abuse, Nurse's Calling, Pain Resonance and Corrupt Intervention. But yknow, pc builds will work as much on console. Sloppy Butcher and Unrelenting are also good choices as you are learning (instead of the first 2 perks). Thanatophobia is also good with sloppy butcher, if you don't have pain resonance or surge or pop goes the weasel.

  • I think with "weak" killers you still get the enjoyment from downing and outplaying a survivor, but it's just less consistent. (My recent experience trying The Artist cause her teachables)

Also it's a pain when even with "the strongest" build (no add-ons) you still struggle against a good team with meta perks. (*looks at legion with bloodfavor)

  • Well I've had a hag which was somewhat new to the game, and what she would do is down a survivor, then trap all around him ....NOT pick up until she baited someone else to get downed, AND then hook the survivor she originally downed. (And then ofc the second downed survivor gets healed up, she doesn't even go for him, just makes sure to trap the hooked one and camp). And after we somewhat managed to rescue without trading, she tunnels the unhooked survivor and does the same xp !

As unfunny as it sounds, it was quite funny if a bit boring. And in the end we were so boosted (played in a swf, but no vc) she got a 3k + hatch escape.

Sorry if it about tunnelling two survivors at once, but tbh it doesn't happen that often. It used to with the Artist....... (but tbh I tried her recently to get her teachables and meh, satysfaing when you get the with a crow tho.)

  • @fulltonon said:

None, because I will always hard-tunnel a survivor, there is no "but I wasn't tunneling" situation.

That's fair, tis the point of the game innit ? To get rid of survivors as fast as possible.

  • And also not everyone has a milion bloodpoints in reserve for when the new killer comes out, and yknow how it it when playing without perks

  • Just fo*in unlucky man, or maybe they slightly increased the indoor map spawn rates because of pig's chapter (imagine that).

All an all still winable maps. Just sacrafice a perk for one to deal with pallets, learn the maps more and no longshots sadly :(

  • I had the same with ghostface. I thought I was going to get an easy adept, but I faced such good survivors. Literally made me want to turn crossplay off, but I cooled after a bit

  • Well.... He isn't the WORST killer mechanically, but yeah the mechanic about revealing him can be wonky. But hey, what can you do than just be sneakier and hope you don't get revealed across the map. (Honestly when I play as him it is hard to stalk people properly, especially with normal stalking, not leaning over, taking considerably longer. And on the opposite side of the spectrum when I play survivor it's bloody impossible to reveal him when in chase or while he stalks me. So there is that I guess)

  • Exactly. But hey, I had fun and got to save as video the last 15 minutes of the game, including the trolling. That's enough for me

  • Sure dud, why not. But How will i manage with half the killers on level 1 and me playing on console :(.

Well I'll post how that turned out after the event lel

  • I mean.... I see your point, but totems take a bit of time to set up and the killer can just snuff them out instantly. They annoying af, sure. But on most maps somewhat easy to deal with.

Would you know the name is you saw it because there's a list of all the Fog Whisperers here: https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/fog-whisperers-program

Bro... the name was "SWEATY ." xp

As far as I looked through the list there was no fog whisperer named like that (and they could've been just playing off stream, so)

Skill checks are annoying. We already have enough of them in the game, I really don't want to see more of them. It's not fun. Why do they keep adding elements that aren't fun. The first thing they should think about before adding or changing anything is "is this going to make the game more fun". Granted, spamming buttons isn't fun either, but it is not annoying either. Now, I get that some people may prefer skill checks. Great, make it optional.

I mean the skill checks to wiggle off are literally to make the game a bit more accesible, so for people that have a problem with spamming 2 buttons or wiggling around the joystick the change will be fun.

But I'm pretty sure they will make wiggle skillchecks an option, because it doesn't actually make you wiggle off faster

You can give props, it's "hidden" in the report menu, the leftmost option. That should work across platforms.

I know and I did at least that :p

  • Also sorry for this post not really being a disscussion, but idk just wanted to share and maybe someone knows who I played against :p

  • It really is hard to nerf that perk huh ? To be honest keep the 100 %. Hell, make it 125%.

But allow survivors to just place it once or twice. But no, that would upset every survivor. I mean cmon decisive strike can only be used once, same with unbreakable.

I mean if the idea of boon totems is that they are a stronger version of some perks (Boon:Exponential = infinite Unbreakable, Boon:Circle of Healing instead of medkits and Boon: Shadowstep instead of Distortion.) but on limited radius and for the price of wasting a bit of time blessing a totem..... then I guess tweaking with numbers is the only move to balance them rn.

Maybe they will be able to recode the Boon: CoH how it was supposed to work (as ppl heard/theorised). Just a selfcare without the penalty. No extra healing speed when using a medkit or getting healed by another survivor.

The original post doesn't say anything about trash talking or insults in aftergame chat. And yes, harassing people in chat is bannable, it doesn't matter whether it happens in one chat or multiple chats.

As far as going against the same killer multiple times because the matchmaking is putting you against them, that's not "stalking" and not bannable. Nor is tunneling or camping in those matches if that's what happened.

I know I was just giving an example of harrasment being bannable on playstation.

I guess the one easy thing the OP could do (and already did I think) is to put crossplay on. Since the killer which put OP on his hate list still has crossplay off, there is little to no chance of OP meeting him again.

Drawback being playing against PC, but I think it's a small cost in this situation.

Ok, well if someone is hacking to get into the same lobby as someone else over and over that's bannable.

Sadly it's not hacking, just crossplay off means a smaller pool of players so the odds of him facing the same killer are really high.

But that being said constant harrasment (and kinda stalking, I mean the killer doesn't try to find out and can't about the player himself) is still bannable, if not by behaviour then by playstation. I mean hell, my friend got banned for a week because he trash talked someone after a fifa game (played on ps4). So with footage it won't be hard to give the killer atleast a time ban. Maybe a perma ban.

  • True, when you have little to no gen regression they pop like crazy. But you can back it up with playing super aggresively. No gen regression, just perks to make your chases super short (like enduring, bamboozle, brutal strength, "I'm all ears" is also underrated but I see it more often recently and not just on ghostfaces)

In a vacuum, Dead Hard validation is a good thing.

In practice, Dead Hard was about tied for the strongest Survivor perk in the entire game even with its ping inconsistencies on the Survivor side. Moving those ping inconsistencies to the Killer side was essentially a buff and who the hell buffs the strongest perk in the game without a compensation nerf? Don't get that one.

In more practice, the false positive feedback of a successful hit is stupid and can sometimes mess you up. This is annoying. You can play around it, but it needs to be fixed sooner rather than later.

In even more practice, there are multiple Killer powers in the game that exist where the killer or projectile keeps going until it hits something. Dead Hard validation incorrectly stops those powers when it 100% should not. This bit... honestly this bit should have gotten the validation or the perk in its entirety kill switched. The fact that it didn't is mind boggling to me.

Yeah the last part. Idk where I heard it, but I remember that dead hard just shouldn't "eat" your attacks/power. If a survivor is protecting someone and you throw a hatchet and they dead hard, the hatchet should go through the dead hardie and hit the survivor behind them. But no, it just absorbs the hatchet and they both escape.

While the current problem with dead hard validation is annoying, it's still hard to use as a survivor. And even then survivors can use it like once per chase, so keep that in mind. [And you can usually bait it out so... Unless they use it to get to a pallet AND you also get stunned because lag then it's like >>:( ]

  • As @Phasmamain said the counter is not slugging. But if you have a situation where it's profitable or you have to slug, maybe count in the head the approximate time it takes to get up with unbreakable (which is like 24 seconds) and try to pick up the people that were on the ground the longest (if everyone is down or you down 2 people and the rest is far away).

  • While you can win on meat plant...

Yeah it has the most and safest pallets.

Since you hate the map so much, could I suggest farming instead of facecamping ? If you know you will have a bad time, might as well get some bloodpoints out of it, instead of frustration.

And if the survivors don't get the point, just kill them as usual. You will get more familiar and better at the map with time (even tho it's survivor sided af)
