This game is not for the lighthearted, and breeds toxicity by its nature. Really any PvP game does.

What are you talking about Pale Rose is very Survivor Sided with all the LoS blockers and both have the underside of the Docks and the buildings that can make the life very difficult for the Killer.
The entire map of Pale Rose is basically a gen lock, most gens out in the open with no nearby defenses for survivors.
-
Instead of giving us reworked swamp, they randomly added a squeaky noise to the lamps on the docks in yesterday’s update. Confused the heck out of me when I first heard it, thought it was Jonah on his iPad.

There's several ways to get down from the second floor without using the stairs now, namely the hole in the floor and the two broken walls that lead outside.
It's unnecessary to have a hook up there now that the Killer no longer has to navigate all the way down the stairs and out the building.
There was a hole before the rework too. The survivor kept intentionally running towards the chest up top, and the basement staircase opens from the opposite side. I still would have made it?
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
You can easily get from the Top Floor to the Basement.
And I am glad they removed this Hook, it was stupid. Not weaker than the Basement, maybe even stronger.
Ok, even if I could make it to basement this time, basement doesn't always spawn there. What then? The hooks seem so scarce or outrageously spaced on that map.

yeah but even that one time use perk was one too many.
I think I know the answer based on your previous posts, but are you then ok with camping, face camping, and tunneling as they currently are?

the unhooker never should've had protection with old BT.
It was a one-time use perk, and I’d wager it discouraged camping a lot more than we’re seeing these days.

Are you kidding? They are waiting for your BT to be gone. This perk is not anti tunneling.
Its only function is to protect a recently unhooked survivor. That is what we are defining as tunneling, yes?
Please explain to me how current BT helps you reach a hooked survivor that is being camped, and successfully get them off the hook.
-
@Sakurra said:

BT is more for camping...so yeah
That’s a common misconception. Only original BT helped against camping as it also protected the unhooker. Current BT only protects the unhooked survivor once they are already unhooked; hence, it is an altruistic anti-tunnel perk, compared to DS being a personal anti-tunnel perk.
-
@Sakurra said:
I feel like we need another perk for tunneling. DS is not enough in my opinion.
Borrowed Time is also anti-tunnel, but easily avoided (12 second duration vs. 60 seconds of DS). DS needs to be usable after both hook states, and disable killer powers for five seconds following a DS stun (so high mobility killers can’t just be right back on the DS user’s butt). Then it will be in a much better place.
I don’t think it’s too much to ask BT’s endurance timer to pause while in a chase too, except maybe end game.

I'd write a report but I'm worried people might start abusing it once they realise which hook it is
But you’ve already mentioned it where the heaviest traffic of the forums is... 😂

@Brokenbones said:
There's a hook on the new map that the killer can perfectly bodyblock and there's no way past them to save
Hoping this has been reported?

That's not an excuse as to why it was permitted in the first place or why it shouldn't change.
As mentioned above, it came with a killer that essentially forces you to hold W anyways. So what's the problem?
-
One very apparent and annoying one is the sound that generators are still being repaired, after they’re all done.

Terribly designed perk with no counterplay that encourages holding w. Hope is gets removed along with dead hard soon.
It.. literally just got added today. It’s not going anywhere. Not that soon anyways.

I'm just confused from the "You saw that someone would take your "beautiful" perk" part. What does that even mean?
Not sure. From what I can tell, English isn’t his/her first language.
-
We need to hide survivor names in the pre-game lobby - and perhaps even during the trial - because of people like you.

Hmm, what an odd day to make this request. /s

They actually tryed that and it got abused badly by the survs
Sigh. Not this again.
How do you abuse this? Killer either chases and downs someone near a hooked survivor, or the hooked survivor eventually dies to the Entity.
-
Even though these would be buffs, it would kinda kill them both for me. These are some of the best sounds in the game!

Hoarder, but yes, I see your point.
Good callout. If only they had kept the effect that lowered item rarity from plunders, even that would be debatable then.
-
For starters, I'm not aware of any other killer perks that benefit survivors... someone please correct me if I'm wrong. (Unnerving Presence is debatable; I'm talking about the straight up benefit of faster healing DL gives the obsession.)
Edit: I guess Soul Guard, unlimited Unbreakable if a hex is up. But the hex should be helping more than that one condition, and that's such a niche situation. Also, another commentor brought up Hoarder - gives additional chests to survivors.
-
@Saitamfed said:
I mean, survivors get the item back if they escape and they can get their add-ons back as well and the killer will always lose its add-ons so... I don't think it's fair to compare both of them.
Not unless they pick up the item; and no, add-ons are always lost now, unless the survivor runs Ace in the Hole.
-
After my last match as Blight with Blood Favour since the buff, it should definitely be a hex. Maybe you haven’t tried it since they vastly strengthened it. I’ve never had an easier time on Temple of Purgation, one of the best survivor maps.
I would like to see most totem spawns fixed, only realize it will also help hide boons from killers as well. Also, only turn them into hex totems once the perk is in play (i.e. Devour Hope gets two tokens, first hit with Third Seal, etc.).

What needs to happen is actual suspensions over face camping. No it is not too harsh of a punishment and no I do not care that it allows the rest of my team to gen rush so I can die for it. Face camping is an extremely toxic, unfun and unfair act by the killer that does absolutely nothing but ruin the game for survivors. The killers that do this already don't care about winning. They do it to be toxic and piss off survivors. The only way this stops is if people start getting suspended for it. Face camping needs to be recognized as something that disrupts normal game play and become a punishable act. This crap would stop so fast if this were to happen.
@Starrseed said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2667527#Comment_2667527
But how will the game detect this cause the game can only detect the time you are close to the hook cause you loose points. Say you get suspended when you have xtime near hook then survs will lopp around hook all day long and you basicly can't defend.
or should it be with the report system then you can bet your checks on every killer being suspended after a week cause every swf that did not liked how the killer played or which killer he played will report.
That's the sad truth the moment bhvr is trying to do something against camping or tunneling the survs will find a way to abuse it and the past shows that cause the tryd something like kinship while the killer camps the hook state pauses and after a week or so survs where abusing it so hard
Yeah, it would be too hard for a fair system to ban people just by being near a hooked survivor. They just need to decrease the hook timer by up to 90% based on the killer’s proximity to the hook. That would buy up to almost two extra minutes for survivors to take care of business while the killer loses the game.

If you’re trying to argue that survivors are underpowered without certain perks you’re probably not going to get much traction with that argument. Consider for instance you yourself just argued that Bubba needs to bring Deadlock and Ruin for facecamping to have a chance of working.
He doesn't need to; again, it simply enhances it. It can obviously work without them.

4 solo queue players and none of them thought to bring Kindred? Seems unlikely.
I mean, you could assume, but why would you when you can bring a perk that will just tell you?
It's always a perk that's the solution, isn't it? Camping, tunneling, and slugging require no perk usage from the killer (their perks only enhance these playstyles); yet survivors always have to bring a perk for this or that situation. And it often requires multiple survivor perks to counter those playstyles, from one or more survivors.

How is Ruin a problem if Bubba isn’t chasing people off gens? It has literally no effect.
And we’re talking here about higher skill survivors for balance purposes who should have a pretty good idea when the killer is camping. The top survivors don’t even try to do a save until close to a hook stage ending.
Exactly. Assuming all solo players here. So I think Bubba might be camping from across the map with Ruin active. I do my best to commit to the gen, but guess what? No one's saved the guy and he's about to hit second stage. I can either finish this generator then go, assume someone closer is saving, or risk that the killer may not even be there and leave my gen to regress. It's a lose-lose scenario either way.
Even doing all gens optimally, they are spread throughout a map and there is just no mathematical way all five are done if someone is being camped early on.
-
@dugman said:
He’s above average but his lack of map mobility makes him weaker against survivors who spread out. “Facecamping” Bubba is a popular complaint but note that 1 kill is still a loss, so a Bubba who literally just downs one person and stands by a hook for two minutes will have all the gens be done and the game be over by the time that person dies if the survivors are doing the gens efficiently.
Given they all know the person is being camped, and aren’t all going to the hook at the same time, and no Deadlock or Ruin... see the problem here?
-
Those two status effects are fine as they are for the functions they serve, and how easy they are to apply. They just need to lower the rarity of some add-ons related to them, and also ensure that blindness is always applied for a minimum of one minute.
-
Trickster’s Blades is the only one that stands out as blatantly OP. I’d be ok with the others, provided a NOED nerf or rework.
-
Yep, he is killer on training wheels.
- As long as you can hook one person one time, you’re guaranteed at least one kill (no other killer can really do this, perhaps Trickster)
- Chainsaw sweep that typically requires very little accuracy or precision, except on some loops (especially compared to his predecessor, Hillbilly)
- Chainsaw sweep can run for ridiculous amounts of time and distance (outlasting Sprint Burst) with the chili and other add-ons, also allowing for multiple downs
- Three chainsaw sweep charges by default that recharge far too quickly, even without the add-ons
- Far less punishing revving function comparative to Hillbilly; I think it’s up to five seconds of revving without add-ons to make him enter his tantrum, which it also cools down at the same rate as it builds up
-
@GuyFawx said:
Report in bug section so it gets noticed fast by the team responsible for bugs asking here helps nobody
In what world do bug reports get noticed fast on here? Maybe noticed, but never “acknowledged” or “fixed”. I have so many that are more than half a year old just sitting there.
-
Any time!
-
He should get deleted and wiped from any kind of memory in this game. So no.
-
Possibly, I’ve had at least three personal accounts of high rarity items being stolen from me while escaping through the exit gates. I know because I only had one of the item on that survivor, and it was just gone. No Franklin’s or anything like that.
-
Trickster already does this. .22s to be fair, but the point still stands.
-
Do you want boons to be just as difficult to find and snuff? Legitimate question.
-
@lav3 said:
Blame Devs.
Honestly I thought they would prevent that by adding laceration while charging chainsaw but still it is same as it was.
Right? There was this huge hype with the Bubba rework that his face camping capability was being nerfed or removed. Surprise.. only difference is not holding M2 the whole time. The amount of revving needed to go into tantrum is a complete joke. Same amount of time to charge up as it is to cool down.

Yes. Right up there with camping Bubba and Trickster. Which is how 90% or more of Hags play. Along with scroll wheel basic attack and Franklin’s Demise.

I would quite like to see the exhausted status itself be reworked to be more punishing. For example if you're exhausted you cannot drop pallets or fast vault etc. Or it requires you to "recover" in a way similar to mending otherwise you collapse after x amount of time.
Lol no.
-
@BaldursGate2 said:
It's not only the best exhaustion perk, it's the best survivor perk. Even if the survivor does not have it, you expect it. Some just wait for that and have really good reflexes, to use it at the last second when you are about to hit.
That's the only perk that really needs to changed like a token based one. Way too strong.
@JPA said:
Yep, I see DH in pretty much every game, and when I'm on an MMR tear it's not at all rare to see all 4 survivors running DH.
Do people still claim sprintburst is more powerful than DH these days?
I would still argue Sprint Burst is stronger due to its infinite utility all match, and for rescuing you out of dead zones. But it may be a tie when you consider that Dead Hard can be activated on demand (given you are injured and not exhausted).
