I don't understand why you think that...?
Because solos ≠ SWF? What’s hard to get about that?

The game gives point for gens, saves, chases and for not getting hurt.
https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Emblems#Survivor_Emblems
Note that the same mechanic applies to the killer. If a killer kills all the four survivors in a couple of minutes, he'll get about 15k bps, if that.
In both cases it's to reward a good game. A survivor only playing QTEs while his team is fighting the killer will only get points for one emblem. (And the 3 other survivors may "only" get points for the 3 other emblems.
It's one of the reasons many players seem to think a survivor gets less points than the killer.
If you want to get close to 32k bps, you need to be in a couple of chases, do one or two save unhooks and, if possible, escape all your chases.
There’s just the reality that you’re not always going to have opportunity to take part in every aspect of the survivor role in every trial though. Only so many unhooks and heals can happen, only one survivor can be chased at a time, only five gens and totems, etc.
Whereas killer typically gets all four of their scoring categories just for playing normally. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it seems to me there maybe should be some aspect of team point sharing if one is heavily contributing. Or, they could allow scoring categories to go over the 8k maximum at a diminishing rate, while still not exceeding 32k total (to prevent farming).

Yeah... because it's only one category, sure you did "most" gens, but you didn't heal, didn't get chased, or didn't interact with killers powers, you were just... boring
I said the most work. That can be running the killer, doing solo gens, working on totems, or any combination of the above. If you are hardcore chased long enough, camped on hook, or doing solo gens while someone else is, you are contributing the most to the team for the least return. This isn’t a matter of opinion.

Being in chase barely gets you anything, unless the killer is eating pallets nonstop.
The most BP in this game is doing gens with another person, or unhooking.
Doing solo gens and getting chased is meh. I think a whole solo gen is 1250 points and takes 80 seconds, unhooking someone with BT is 1500 and takes like 2 seconds (and gets you stacks).
I think 1 gen with Prove on gets you the equivalent of 4 gens solo?
Not to mention, cleansing a totem for 1,000 BP or blessing (as many times as a free totem is available) for 1,500 BP! And that only takes 14 seconds! Doing a solo gen needs to award 2,000 BP - skill checks aside.
-
@Brimp said:
You get survivor, chase, and altruism points as well to fill out. Just because you did 4 gens doesnt mean you did the most in the trial.
He might have. Four solo gens (start to finish, in his own words), if true, is simply ridiculous. Just depends on what the other three were doing, which we don’t know. They could’ve all three been participating in chases and saves… or, opening chests and hiding for easy unhooks. 🤷🏼♂️

You’ll often find that the survivor who does the most work in a match is rewarded the least amount of BP. Sorry my man.

No. They just added them to the newly reworked Haddonfield. They’re not going away.

To each their own, but I think BHVR pulled off their concept and design very well. They’re honestly the most unique set of killers the game received in a long time. But yeah, their DLC was riddled with bugs and issues. And I get not everyone loves their most optimal play style. Those Victor noises get me every time though, and even Charlotte’s! 😆

Fun Fact: You can even heal in a locker with Inner Healing and keep the DS, as Inner Healing still doesn't count... as HEALING.
Another fun fact: that survivor can get healed from that perk, then get grabbed out of the locker - nullifying the heal. So that is a risk they run. As well as a cleansed totem from the match, meaning one less possible area for booning.
So you shouldn’t complain about that perk combo.
-
@Kurri said:
It sounds more like you're choosing to run two perks that conflict with each other, and I don't think you will find a way around that. Discordance is really a perk you run when you want to chase 2 survivors off a gen knowing full well the other survivor you don't chase is going to come back and start working on the gen again, better slow downs to work with that are Dying Light, Theatrophobia, Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain, and Hex: Pentimento. Otherwise you will need to remember what gen has Call of Brine, and then make an estimate on if the noise notification came from Brine or Discordance.
OP has a very valid point. It’s not up to us as players to ensure perks have reasonable synergy with each other. The devs should definitely address this.

It was a bug, but a good and fair one that should simply be a part of the perk.
-
I disagree. If a hex perk is in play, it should immediately be cleansable or blessable. That being said, I would be all for something similar to @sizzlingmario4 ’s idea above. A hex totem is completely invisible to survivors until its effects first take place (two stacks of Devour Hope, the first time a survivor rush vaults with Crowd Control, etc. etc.).

How would you make vaulting slower for Lithe then? Exhaustion perk that requires vaulting, and you'd reduce the speed if you vault?.
Windows Of Opportunity servers a complete different need than Exhaustion perks.
I think they mean the slower vaulting would be in effect only upon being exhausted, i.e. only after triggering Lithe.

You both know nothing what you're talking about. In a small map, or even with just agitation starstruck nurse is oppressive. You don't just hold w and be fine. Like i said, you can't balance instadown perks because of that busted killer. At least with this change you could make strong intadown perks for killers (not hexes one) while not being overpowered on nurse. You all propose nothing.
Sorry, you’re not going to convince me that on any map you have to be in a Nurse’s TR of a downed survivor. I already gave the counterplay to Starstruck above. You’re only going to stay there if you’re greedy for a save or to do an objective nearby. When a survivor goes down near you, and you suspect or know the killer has Starstruck:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oeX1XXQNi-QOr alternatively, hide (one of the best techniques against Nurse).
-
I’m not gonna lie that I don’t think Pig should see box auras - period. Leads to easy tunnel kills and box camping. Not sure why this is a thing.
That being said, how do you feel about the add-on giving permanent aura reading on a survivor after they remove a head trap, until you next hit them? Kinda keeps in theme with Amanda sabotaging the rules of the game. I feel that is a powerful yet balanced effect for a very rare add-on.
-
Not sure about 100% even for walking, as in conjunction with other perks it could make a survivor untraceable. But any buff is better than nothing for this perk.
I also want it to make blood pools disappear 1/2/3 seconds sooner, since survivors don’t have a perk for that effect. Especially with the upcoming haemorrhage buff.

@PlaysByShady said:
Starstruck Nurse is a bit unfair
I've got a radical idea... hear me out.
How about, you keep your distance from the Nurse when she's downed someone or picking them up? Simples.
How is it fair for a killer is next to no mobility other than her blinks to have all attack related perks nullified because you don't "counter-play" Starstruck?? Survivor's always be crying "where's the counter play", and when it's obvious enough but they don't want to do it, they still cry. Sheesh!
Starstruck is the singular most avoidable exposed perk that it is laughable when anyone complains about it. Counterplay: ‘Oh sh/%, the killer has Starstruck. I should immediately start running away from the terror radius. I now know for the next time they go to pick up another survivor.’
End of story.

I love the idea of keeping the medkit after!
Do you think it would be just as fair if the syringe didn't destroy the medkit, but it lowered the charges by 8 or something like that?
I don’t see why it needs to lower the charges either, as it is an iridescent add-on. I know some killer iridescent add-ons have downsides, but usually only in the case of game-altering effects. Also noteworthy is that survivor iridescent add-ons are one use only per trial, whereas a killer add-on is in effect the entire match.
But I would gladly take less charges than losing the entire medkit.
-
Doubling the blessing time every time a killer snuffs is ridiculous. No one who isn’t throwing the match is going to spend 28 seconds to set up a 24m 2% speed boost. Just put the boon perks on a reasonable cool down when snuffed.

Yep, and that’s what I do.. snoozing all the way.

I don’t get why this and the Styptic Agent still consume the medkit upon use after their nerfs. Brand New Part used to do the same thing, but now just consumes itself. And all add-ons are lost regardless of the outcome of the trial for survivors without Ace in the Hole anyways. Plus it reveals to an attentive killer that it was just used, possibly negating its usability.
Survivors should get to keep their medkits when using these add-ons. They are otherwise fine.

Mobile Bloodmarkets are way worse than bloodwebs IMO because you have literally no control over what killer's addons you get. I also prefer using bloodpoints to level up characters to needing to play that character and get Xp on them.
It is indeed somewhat worse for killer, but amazing for survivor (as all purchases are shared, and universal offerings can be used on both killer and survivor). However, there’s no denying that the blood market is incredibly bloated with rare items and add-ons. Not to mention you can watch ads to get anything from a ticket to try a character you don’t own, up to any random iridescent add-on. My account is loaded with crazy amounts of “very rare” stuff, think I’m somewhere in the 1,700s now for Skeleton Keys.

Anything is allowed as long as you use game rules, you can farm, gen rush, tunnel, camp, flashlight stun, pallet stun, vault, stab, mori, escape with key, as long as it's in the rules of the game, they can do whatever they want
Almost right. Farming would explicitly fall under this line in the unsportsmanlike reporting category: “refusing to participate in normal gameplay.”

Legion is incredibly boring (just draws out holding M1 simulator), plus finds you nearby just by hitting another survivor with FF.

I've enjoyed Overcome when I've used it. I can never manage Sprint Burst, if I try using it I always forget I'm running it because I never run Exhaustion perks, and then it's just a wasted slot.
Realistically speaking, I imagine Sprint Burst would replace DH if DH were nerfed. Overcome has Exhaustion and it requires being healthy, whereas SB only has Exhaustion.
Not to mention it is rendered completely ineffective against insta downs. If Overcome were buffed to work with endurance (as it should), it could possibly compete with Sprint Burst. But right now, it’s very risky in its current state.

IMO they should keep her Power (the Blinks), but change her ability in a way that the Blinks are not the only way for her to get Hits. Her entry level should be easier, but the power overall should be weaker. So something like not being able to blink through walls, but being at least 4.4m/s Movement Speed. So it should not be a complete Rework like Freddy.
BUT - this will never happen. Because BHVR does not want a big backlash from Killers who seriously think that the one broken thing of the past should stay in the game.
And what about survivors who think Nurse is fair? 🧐
There would be very little reason to play her if she could not blink through objects anymore. Doesn’t matter if she has a faster base movement speed. What you propose is to kill her viability and unique traits. Leave our Nurse alone!
-
Had to chuckle at your name, given the topic/post. But yeah, that chat filter needs to go, or at the very least be optional.

@WeenieDog said:
I mean.. yeah, it's a chase power. But's not lethal, so it's value as a chase power kind of falls off when you start to chase an injured survivor. IMO, it can shorten chases by getting an easy injure, but the first hit isn't the hard part as some survivors will purposefully eat an m1 if it means that they get to save a pallet for later.
Soon it is - if you manage five hits in one FF run! Have fun with that one though.

I found her a breeze to pick up. She was the first killer I ever mained, for probably the first 400+ hours of DBD. After that it hit me how broken she was and moved onto other killers who were actually a challenge to play. I have little to no respect for nurse mains.
Was that time all before the nerf, or some after?
I would rather face a killer who’s strong in chase than one who has the easy convenience of camping and tunneling. Nurse mains deserve far more respect than a great deal of the killer roster.
Wondering how much time you’ve had on her with more experienced survivors and maps out there these days.

Survivor main here, Nurse base kit is perfect. She is the best killer in the game to face, with the most skill ceiling. As others have said, I could only see range add-ons being nerfed a bit; but they also better rework her two meme add-ons.

I would love if they nerfed nurse, too many bad killers get carried by her. When they did the rework and like 80% of the nurse mains quit it was a very happy day
Bad killer and Nurse really don’t go together well in the same sentence. Nurse requires more mechanical knowledge and expertise than any other killer in the game. A lot more thrilling trials than a ‘skilled’ (by MMR standards) Bubba who stands in front of a hooked survivor.

I would love to see the official quote on that, because the DC penalty is the built in ‘solution’ (if we can call it that) to leavers. Also, if it is ‘justified DC’ (i.e. cheaters), why is the DCing player receiving a penalty?
Never heard of anyone being perma banned for DCing, as there is already the accumulating time penalty in place.

I think it's that many people don't want to have to watch their team die completely helplessly because the killer decides to stand in front of the hook. It's a game design issue they resolved through perks.
It's way too trival to tunnel someone out if those perks are not used. And killer passive slowdown is at a point where doing gens isn't even the counter anymore.
Resolved isn’t the right word, because it still happens with or without the perks. These devs need a serious wake up call to their inherent base game issues.
