  • I was playing a game the other day and I forgot to report it tbh, but I was insta-healed into injured from downed. The game suddenly acted weird, like when you think the killer is going to dc, and voilá I was up and running when I had been bleeding to death just a second ago. I thought I had missed someone healing me but no, because the other guy was like 100 mts away and I had no unbreakable so I have no idea how I got up but I died right away so yeah
  • Kinda same would be nice for hatchets downs when the range was 30+ meters or so, something like deathcams from known shooter games.
    Killcams lol
It’s always nice to see how that antiterrorist was camping that spot until he saw you and BANG game over
  • All I care about is the drop of fps whenever I hit someone and there’s the animation of the weapon being wiped clean... it looks like the game explodes just then
  • From my perspective the game is focusing more and more into chasing and stealth gets less and less important. And tbh? I like that. Stealth is FOR ME boring and was only interesting in my first 10 hours of the game. After that I was actively searching for killer interaction. Same with Killer for me. Nothing more boring to search survivors who are stealth masters.
I love to stealth and to leave the game without having  been seen. Some games do require you to face chases (which I’m not really good at) but you can also ninja it thru. With the release of legion, stealth players have been affected a lot and there’s no real counter to it. They pretty much ruined a playstyle.

And I agree that lightweight should reduce footstep sounds. At least from a survivor perspective, steps are so much louder now after the patch than they used to be...
  • It would be fun: damn, it was right next to that spot I just ran by, silly me *kills himself*
  • The wise choice, which I didn’t make for survivor but I did for killer, is to unlock only those perks you want. That way you will have those perks at tier 3 before you even make it to lvl30.

What's the issue with it? I don't play console, so I wouldn't know.

I accidentally switched to other characters.
I always main Feng and found myself in a match playing as Ace with crappy perks.
    10/10
    EDIT: WORKING AS INTENDED.

yea this happened to me but I was David and switch me to Quentin who had nothing good on him.

It happened to me, ended up with Dwight with literally nothing to use.
  • It looks like you need to go to ER, you’re losing too much blood and killers don’t want you going thru an intense experience in that condition. They care about you.
  • 2nd game today: I join the lobby, first person. 3 others join altogether and I was waiting for the dodge, instead the killer pressed ready. Red countdown started, killer dodged. Really? Don’t blame SWF for your toxicity.

I mean to make the Ranking System truly meaningful you'd have to make Survivors rank up solely for if they Survive or not, and Killers would only Rank up if they got 2+ kills. Remove the hatch at Rank 5+

That way, high rank matches become more interesting as you will be forced to be more helpful to your team, otherwise you have to work for your victory.

But this kind of meaningful ranking system would make all the people who don't match the age rating for the game quit. Which is a good thing anyway.

A ranking system based on survive/death ratio wouldn't be bad

I play killer and survivor, when i lose to either side i accept my loss and move on i don’t immediately run to the forums complaining about “ crouching” “ swf bullying me” lol as long as im having fun i really could careless win or loss mind games is what makes me play this game... What next are you sensitive players going to complain about next? survivors that are running away from you

the problem is people stay in the game a lot of time even after the gates are open and as a killer you need to put up with that or dc

  • There is a real situation here. You just made it to rank 3 because it's really easy to get to it. The problem is that you might be facing red rank survivors that have had much more experience in the red ranks and are very comfortable with facing high lvl killers. You are probably making some mistakes that high lvl survivors will use to their favor and it will mostly cost you the game. Keep practicing, fine tune your chase skills.

  • I simply say that the fear of SWF is killing the game for us solo survivors.

It does suck to fly under the radar, but neither you, or the killer wants to get stomped.

Maybe a more robust loadout system which modifies who you're match made with based on your loadout, how much stuff you have, and rank could come into play.

    And factor in SWF.

They could pretty much show SFW players with a different name color or give killers the chance to preselect the type of matches as you do in KYF.

Believe me, I would love the idea, and I asked for labels for months, but people who defend SWFs would tear into it saying the dodging/filtering would kill the game.
    And they might be right.

Then the perks should have a different effect if used in SWF. It'S not hard to duplicate the skill and change it so that if you join a game thru SWF the effects have a different impact, lesser maybe

  • One of the survivor's unique perks should be a passive skill so that each survivor can be profiled differently.

  • I don't think people understand that the killer as of now is the game host and that survivors join your game. Leaving a lobby when you re the host is penalized in lots of games. It will be different when dedicated servers are launched tho. Maybe give the killers the option to kick survivors from their lobby?

Once or twice. Pretty rarely, but i also dont give them reason to dodge. Solo player mostly, no items, dressed as a noob meghead. Keep your legacy and items at home and you get dodged a lot less.

"Don't use a feature of the game so as to not upset the killer."

I find it so funny that I need to go into noob mode to avoid the killer from feeling abused beforehand and dodge... then you go into the game and you get camped, moried, tunneled, moonwalked by legion, yada yada

  • The ranking system is obsolete as of now. But how can you separate new players from more experienced players? Maybe give the option to choose a certain type of difficulty based on played hours? I don't know...

  • So, you spend bloodpoints on items that you can't use because you need to please the killers' insecurity. Nice. Now, I do have to suck it up if I get camped or tunneled, because I also have to please the killers' bp hunger and they won't spare me for having avoided the use of items before starting the trial.

I'm hoping for the day lobbydodging is punished as much as dcing in game, both for survivors and killers.

  • I would like to see what the player base is. I assume it goes up a bit once a month with events and once per quarter when the new DLC is released, but it then goes down to the same few.

Against a nurse i dont dc because in dont want a ban ofc but i let me die on the hook as fast possible for move into the next game.

I understand the Nurse is OP, but dcing is poor sportsmanship. Imagine if killers dced against every SWF team? It should not be up to the players to risk bans to avoid game breaking stuff but on the devs to rework or nerf OP things.

They already do that before the game starts
  • That’s why I ask killers not to dodged based on assumptions. They are making it worse for solo survivors.
  • They Will probably ask you to remove this because you’re showing the name
  • Lol A survivor whining about lobby dodging is hilarious when you don't lose anything and can literally join a new lobby in seconds where as the killer has to wait minutes.

Have you been playing the game lately at all?
  • 225 gens for 9 pieces of cosmetics... that would be 45 games if you do all 5 gens

While I understand the reasoning behind dodging, it does get tiresome, esp to solo survivors. It has gotten much worse on PS4. I had 4 straight lobbies where a dodge occurred. I had no items on, using Dwight in his stock cosmetics. Nothing flashy, nothing to scream here I am. In all but one of the lobbies, the rest of the survivors had no items either. So nothing that should have been a red flag. Yet a dodge happened.

Do not get me wrong, I used to dodge some lobbies if I felt it was a SWF team. Now I only dodge if it is a name I know is a much higher rank playing in a SWF to try to bully, which is rare since my memory sucks. I try to play in all lobbies and make the best of whatever is thrown at me. If I realize you are a SWF and possibly a bully squad, I switch things up to make it fun for me, like using the Clown and bottle bomb people all game. This does not work for all people, as I stopped playing a serious/competitive game long ago. Just remember, not all SWFs are bully squads. Some times a lobby full of flashlights are actually solos. If necessary, bring in Franklin and swing away.

As I was reading this I got dodged, again. Now I can but laugh... heh

I swear it wasnt me. I am still at work. I cant dodge lobbies right now.

    You betta

Try to work out why you are getting dodged, and avoid that.

    Just a tip

There are no reasons why I could be dodged. Red jacket Nea without any sweaty perk but UE. Got no items. Still dodged

I'll only dodge if a real life event comes up (since I won't be able to finish the game that I've started) and high ping lobbies (I really hate P2P connection). I won't dodge for any other reason, others should do the same.

And who are you to tell them what they should and should not do?
I also don't dodge but I don't feel the need to force people to play the way I want.

    @popoles
Because there is no other reason to dodge a lobby and I never told people "how to play". I only said that you should only dodge in these scenarios (and that's why I said, "Others should do the same") because these are legitimate reasons to dodge while others just dodge for the stupidest reasons.

It's ridiculous with how many people dodge for the most stupidest reasons in my opinion:

    2 Flashlights? Dodge.
3+ Toolboxes and afraid of BNP? Dodge.
3+ Med-Kits and afraid of Instaheal? Dodge.
3+ P3 Claudettes or Legacy survivors? Dodge.
Someone has a key? Crap! Dodge.

If you see this, instead of dodging (not staying you are dodging, just a PSA for everyone) then use YOUR items. Bring in your add-ons or offerings to balance things out, they are there for a reason, namely, strength!

Lastly, why is dodging a problem?

You may not think dodging is a problem but if you waited 10 minutes to get a game just to get sent back to the lobby and wait another 10 minutes. That's 20 minutes just to find a game, that's double than you normally had to wait. Usually dodging isn't a problem for fast game times but it's devastating for the people who have long wait times.

Those are all valid reasons to dodge. You know what else is? Dodging because you feel like it. No one has to justify themself to you or anyone else. Killer is a stressful role, so if the killer doesn't want to add even MORE stress by playing a match against 4 people with flashlights or toolboxes, that's their right. You do you boo boo and I'll do me. If you don't wanna get dodged, don't have 4 flashlights/4 toolboxes/obvious SWF usernames, etc. The killer isn't obligated to play against you if they don't want to.

Again, you assume everyone plays SWF and brings toolboxes or flashlights into the game, yet you are wrong.

My bf and I play on PC and PS4 at the same time. While he has been enjoying it much more frequently due to how many dodges I go thru per hour, we both have real fun talking about it, about what can or could done at certain situations and such. He teases me in regards to how ninja-ey I can be, and I tell him he shouldn’t run so wildly into the open. It’s good fun, for both of us :)

  • I once spawned like 5 to 6 meters away from The Huntress at Badham Preschool. As the camera was going around me as the game started, I noticed her staring at me. No time to run haha
  • So, pretty much every dodged lobby is based on an assumption, okay then... lol

Mhm if so many killers chicken out, maybe that's because they don't feel skilled enough?

    Fix that for ya.

And even if a killer isnt skilled enough? Why should he willingly go into a game where he literally gets bullied? NOt his fault that the ranking system isnt working properly and allows you to climb into ranks where you dont belong

What kind of mind reading powers does a killer have to know they will be bullied? If you’re not comfortable enough with your rank and the type of games you get, then you’re welcome to depip back to 15, but what prevents you from bullying newbies, right?

Killers don’t want to be “bullied” but they will bully you if they got the chance. I’m making a general statement because clearly, everyone assumes survivors are all bullies who play only SWF and want to abuse genrush, because yes, that’s all we do, huh

Deranking takes quite some effort and time, maybe the killer doesnt want to go through that?

    Then, uninstall the game.

How can someone be so salty about the hatch?

It reminds me of those killers that couldn’t hook anyone but still win thanks to NOED. And don’t come and tell me “you should have cleansed all the totems”. We know. We didn’t. Killers should have hooked all the survivors. They could’ve, yet they didn’t. Same story.

Is this for real? I almost cried.
  • I always let the last survivor escape unless they are toxic. I sometimes down them and grab them just to drop them on the hatch if I saw it first.

if you people feel like the hatch is not earned, when everyone is dead and you’re the last one, a random chest could spawn with a one-use-only key that you should grab to be able to open it.

In this post there are always people exaggerating.
When playing survivor I get dodged about once every 20 games.
If you get dodged so frequently maybe you are the problem, not the killer, maybe you have adquired disrepute for something. Try changing your name ingame.

It’s not an exaggeration. We all got our own experiences.

I was about to make another post too : Survivors, stop frigging disconnecting and ruining the game for the rest. Because it’s been happening every single game, if any, I get to play.
