You see - THAT is real tunneling. What most people call tunneling usually doesn't involve that specific series of events. People will get unhooked right in front of the killer, run at them with borrowed time, and the whine that they got tunneled. Things like that aren't tunneling.
Unironically ######### like that has been every ######### game.

Interesting, just remember that this is just a one time kind of situation though, or an uncommon one at the least. This has happened before where I go into a few bad games in a row. However, it is important to know that this doesn't happen every game.
you say that but it has literally been every single survivor game for the past week.

To be fair - if we're still at 4 to 5 gens, most skilled killers will go out of their way to eat the DS stun early. That's called strategy if you're pepega enough to USE it early.
yeah i know it's pretty good to eat it but i mean wasting 2 gens of time chasing someone, camping them, tunneling through bt and eating a ds stun as 2 more gens go, then continuing the tunnel as they lose the final gen. like, just chase other people and continue the pressure, it makes the games more fun for all.

Has that always been there? lol, I have read her power a few times but kinda just skimmed over that part, I guess this was not a bug and is indeed, a feature.
I- I can't even-

Hi, am at rank 3-1, depending, and honestly recently it has been every single game, at least recently. By that I mean, hardcore, will ignore everyone except the victim (usually the first person to be hooked), will eat DS stuns early and then continue the tunnel, will chase someone for 4 gens then stand hitting them on hook instead of just chasing a different person and will tunnel through BT. It's been insane and is just making me play killer more and more.

I LITERALLY EDITED THE ORIGINAL POST TO SAY I MADE A MISTAKE CAN YOU READ?

This is talking about her phasing sound when you are outside her TR, this isn't new and they already said it IS a bug that you hear where she is during phasing. Don't spread false information like this, it's really tacky and makes you seem like CNN.

IDK why they don't just make the footsteps louder and more consistent. That was honestly a pretty fair thing, since if you heard them you knew she was right on top of you.
Honestly I'd prefer the footsteps over this since that'd have the same effect but more consistent but I guess I can't complain; beggars can't be choosers.

Well it's the same reason they didn't give out Legacy so I'm fine with it. They'll probably be able to change the requirements to reach Mercliless when MMR hits, as they've said they wanna do before.

Patch 2.3.0 - 16 October 2018
AUDIO ADJUSTMENTS:
The Spirit's phasing audio has been adjusted: Survivors within the Spirit Husk's terror radius will not hear the phasing sound. Survivors outside the Spirit Husk's terror radius can hear the Spirit's phasing sound, but will not be able to determine its direction. Survivors will no longer be able to hear the Spirit's breathing while she is phasing.
okay okay ive already admitted it was my bad no need to rub it in

Yeah I'm with you too; I definitely think it's a well-needed change (not enough but oh well), but I wish it'd been tested or even just announced to the community- at least we knew about Discordance.

There's a rule in gaming that you should NEVER buy something on release day. This goes for macrotransactions as well. The skins will remain on display for all to see the entire event, so why not wait a week or two first before making the decision to buy them? There is no malice in my intent nor am I trying to 'end one player's experience as soon as is possible', I'm trying to win the game. There is no obligation to be semi-nice and I don't expect the other people I'm playing with to enjoy it when I do use ebony. They simply have to join another match and get back into the game. This is a PvP game after all. Try phasmophobia or another co-op if you're taking other peoples feelings into consideration.
Considering how I play killer the majority of the time, I'd rather not have to play other games where I have to rely on my team to do well (co-op games); being able to play the 1 in a 1vx game is the fun part for me.
-
IMO Father's Glasses is a lot better than people give it credit for; it allows you to use a 4th perk slot to still completely neuter Iron Will as if they're injured, they'll leave blood around. Thana, RuinDying, and Sloppy with Father's Glasses (or replace RuinDying with Pop/Corrupt, that works too) is ######### brutal. It's a solid B-tier for me, maybe even A-tier.
Also, Mathbox is a lot better than people give it credit for, imo it should be C-tier not D-tier. Sure it's far from immaculate and has so many issues it's laughable, but nobody- and I mean nobody expects a Nurse to be able to catch up to them. it's gotten me so many hits and- I kid you not- my 1 blink Nurse used to be significantly better than my 2 blink Nurse (now it's only slightly worse).

Hold up. It’s not any players fault Ebony Moris were designed this way.
What? You expect people to come on the forums and find GoodBoyKaru posts to learn when and how they’re ‘allowed’ to use an iridescent offering?
I get your intent but do not appreciate your implementation.
No, I don't expect anyone to come to the forums to read my posts. It's not the players fault for their implementation, either; I'm saying that people who tunnel with an ebony on first hook are the people that everyone else hates to face because they just want to end one player's experience as soon as is possible. You can use whatever you want, and play however you want; you bought the game. However it's a multiplayer game, so it's usually a semi-nice thing to think about the other player who also paid for the game, and also wants to have fun.
If you want to play like that, all power to you. Just like if you want to play IriBelt Huntress, or Ormond with a key, go for it. These things are in the game and you can use them however you want to. However, don't expect the other people you're playing with to enjoy it (hence my statement of, "You're the reason people hate facing moris").
-
Hmm, it depends. As survivor, I think my favourite map is Blood Lodge, just because of how many pallets there are. On a good spawn I can legitimately have a 5 gen run. My least favourite map would have to be... Oh, I'd say Dead Dawg Saloon. I ######### hate that map.
As killer in general, I'd say Hawkins is my favourite map, although the exception to this is as Pyramid Head and Nurse; least favourite would still be Saloon.
As Nurse, my favourite would be Midwich, hands down her best map imo. Least favourite would be Rotten Fields, for obvious reasons, closely followed by Hawkins.
As Pyramid head, I don't really have a favourite map, but I can confirm Saloon is my least favourite, closely followed by Hawkins.
-
They didn't fix this though? I can still do it just fine.
-
@piggypablo said:
Some people are saying only use on death hook, what's the point of bringing it then? I always use it after the first hook. Leave the hook immediately, baiting others into unhooking. Then tunnel the person that was on it and ebony them.
1) Congratulations, you're the reason people hate facing moris, and the type of player people hate facing in general.
2) The reason people are saying to do that is because op said they were feeling guilty about using moris. Using them on death hook, instead of on 1st hook and tunneling them out of the game, makes people feel a whole lot less guilty.
Personally, the rare occasions I use an ebony on first hook, the game is just... easy. There's none of the fun challenge I love as killer, so I (yes, me, not everyone, but me) normally go for 2nd hook moris for cool animations.

Can't find the source of the issue? Just change the challenge, easy

I have seen low rank killers that refuse to hit bodyblockers entirely. And it always ends bad. It's a good idea to hit bodyblockers, even if it cause survivor escape from grab. They giving you free pressure when all of them are injured and not doing gens. Sucks if there is all gens done, but hitting bodyblockers is always a good idea.
This ^^
If you can hit someone whilst carrying another, do it. Free pressure, it's amazing.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but your own experience, without any other input, is incredibly unreliable due to the nature of this game. There are so many different variables and they all act in a different way when combined with one another, so your experience from Screenshots alone isn't the best source; the only real way to compare these perks is to have matches be ceteris parabus and only compare the two perks whilst everything else is identical but that's impossible in dbd.

@Bullettimegod said:
So... imma be that guy and defend moris because im tired of posts like this.
Moris skip 1 hook state. Is it fair? Ehh.... is it needed? Sometimes. Is it fun? Depends on your outlook.
As any killer player knows time is against the killer. Killers cant be 4 places at once. Also it feels like the reworked maps are surv sided. It sounds like an l2p issue, and maybe it is, but moris help reduce thr amount of survs to buy the killer time esp since he cant be 4 places at once.
With all the informations survivors have. And all the second chance perks. A good portion of the time, Esp on maps like ormond or red forest, a killer fan fall behind very quickly and never catch up.
Point is, moris as much as people dont like them are a necessary evil. Just like keys are.
I'd like to counter this by saying that if one side didn't have an insane amount of op ######### (built to last + streetwise + commodious; keys; ds+unbreakable) the other side wouldn't need an insane amount of op ######### either (spirit; moris; ruin+Undying+Tinkerer (before someone gets on my ass imo it's only busted with Tinkerer in the equation)) etc.
If one side didn't have busted things the other side wouldn't need them. This isn't a "if killers didn't have x survivors wouldn't need y" or "if survivors didn't have x then killers wouldn't need y" comment, it's just about both sides (again before anyone gets on my dick about it, it's trying to be unbiased).
Therefore moris, being part of the "op #########" gang, need to go to actually achieve a balanced game, like spirit, keys, OoO, actual genrushers (as in, leave people to struggle on hook to get gens done), iribelt, etc. They all need to go to actuslly achieve balance, and make people think they don't need to bring their strongest builds every game.

@Aldath said:
Wow, those are some helpful replies, much appreciated!
Regarding what you guys have told me, I'm quite bad at mind games, it's one of the things I'm trying to improve. I get nervous when chasing a survivor and I think it's noticeable, as they have all the time in the world to taunt me.
I play in Latin America South servers, and the playstyle here is much more altruistic than I remember; most of the time I'm being swarmed by survivors body blocking and disarming hooks, coordinating to rush gens, and more often than not, they start the match together.
Since ending chases quick is one of my issues, I found Clown to be a killer that helped me in that regard; however I can totally see how he falls off later. I've been told that The Nightmare is one of the strongest killers and isn't that hard to play, but honestly, I can't seem to grasp how to do with him since putting survivors into the Dream World seems to barely affect them (I know, I know it might just be me).
I'd say my three biggest failures as a killer are...
-Not ending chases soon because of lack of mindgames/nervousness/inability to use my powers/etc.
-Not knowing when to patrol a hooked survivor and when to patrol generators. It usually happens that I hook, I know which gen is being repaired, and by the time I'm on my way, the generator is repaired and the survivor is unhooked. If I patrol the Survivor, usually two gens get fixed and by the time I'm looking for other survivors, the gate is open or at least other gen is repaired.
-Still not being able to find the killer that completely clicks with me, I often bounce from killer to killer. I own everything but Legion, Pig, Ghostface, Demo, Shape and Spirit. The killers which I haven't unlocked the teachables for are Oni, Nurse, Huntress, Deathslinger, Trapper, Wraith and Nightmare, mostly because they are super low level (below 20)
This might sound really weird but if there's a lot of bodyblocking going on, try out a perk like Forced Penance (The Executioner, Level 30; survivors who take protection hits are broken and can't heal) or Mad Grit (The Legion, level 35; you have no cooldown on missing a swing whilst carrying someone, and whenever you land a hit whilst carrying someone (when they bodyblock you), the wiggle timer is paused for a couple seconds (2/3/4 depending on perk rarity I believe)).
