And none of this information can be used to form a solid opinion without knowing all about the timer as well, which we do not.
-
Notice the wording. You don't need to get the save, you just need to blind them while they're holding a survivor.
Blind the killer during the hooking animation. You get your challenge, and it's substantially easier than otherwise.
-
Thank you all for the cows I shall treasure them forever 💖

I'd assume it's like all other events when previous event cosmetics were given out for free (think this Lunar New Year, for example). Nothing.
And I don't think there needs to be, either. The cosmetics being given out were given out for free to celebrate the games anniversary. I don't care if other people can join in the celebrations now too.
(plus 4th year crowns are probably remaining exclusive bc there was no mention of those on the stream)

Bit concerned how this would play out vs a Huntress camping on top of the basement stairs, though.
Her hatchet-M1 combo typically means the survivor can’t even reach the top of the stairs, even with OTR.
I'd argue this is more of a basement makes camping far too easy problem

Again, from an argument standpoint one could still say yes. It is the survivor's fault for not managing to adapt and hide if they know they are being tunnelled for an inability to run tiles well. From the other standpoint no. The matchmaking can be especially brutal and crazy at times with putting people who are clearly not at similar skill levels in a match together. The game also shouldn't allow profile viewing in the pregame lobby the way it does because that doesn't help the issue
This argument is all well and good until its a Blight, Nurse, or cracked Spirit deciding to tunnel you. Because people don't use it as a last resort, and they don't just use it on weaker killers.
-
Huh. Neat.

At least the team have been trying and no doubt will try again when conditions are more fortuitous. My question is that if it is Netflix which are the issue, how come those 3 skins from that horror series (cannot remember the name, but Doctor, Hag and Hubtress each got a legendary) remain, because aren't they Netflix also? Or have I missed something?
CryptTV and Netflix are not related

They teased it in the stream. We're getting Scorching Summer BBQ back.

The first week begins May 23rd with a Bloodhunt, with a new event each week until the release of End Transmission on June 13th and the Anniversary Event on June 21st.

That Film was not directed and produced by a convicted pedophile.

Deathgarden made by Behaviour Interactive so i don't think don't be a dbd killer.
People called it a dbd killer. It wasn't made to be, but none of these games were. They were simply labelled dbd killers by the community, and as they didn't then live up to that expectation were dropped and left for dead.

Okay then.... I mean the game: Deceive inc.
What I will say is the second people call the game a DBD killer, and treat it like a DBD killer, they doom it from the start. Friday was the only real competition we've ever had, and it died because of a lawsuit. VHS, Predator Hunting Grounds, Prop Hunt, Deathgarden, etc. All praised as DBD killers, all died within a year.

I dont know If I should mention the name here...
Do you watch dbd on twitch?
Streamers? No, I don't.
But mentioning other games doesn't get you banned on here.
-
...what game are we on about?
because every game that's been called a dbd killer has been killed by dbd.

Not with DS, that's the cool part.
Killer hits you off hook to counter DH, you get a speedboost
Killer downs you and picks you up, you DS them.
Deepwound is now gone and you can DH them for another speedboost
Works reasonably well tbh
Or you just use Sprint Burst, a better exhaustion perk, that nets you so much distance combined with the 10s post-unhook Haste + the on-hit boost, all for fewer perk slots. And it works on both hook states, too.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
DS new synergy with DH makes it a very good option to make tunnelers life harder.
Hope people will catch on eventually
DH gets hard countered by just tunneling harder
-
Because they don't even work lmao.
DS has a 3 second stun. That's enough for all of half a second of distance, considering the falling off the shoulder animation is more than half of that time. Against stronger killers like Nurse or Blight it's literally a wasted perk slot.
OTR relies on Endurance. Hard tunneling by hitting directly off the hook literally hard counters the anti-tunnel perk. Yes, you read that right, the counter to the anti-tunnel perk is to tunnel harder.

The UI in general is really bad, we have hundreds of perks but no efficient way of searching for them, Charms is even worse, since most are cluttered garbage that most people dont care about or arent worth using due to the limited amount of charm slots.
Ive seen people suggest Search Bars for years, and who knows, maybe we might get one, maybe we wont, Im hoping we at least get some information during the Anniversary Stream regarding UI and accessibility changes.
Something tells me you're gonna really enjoy this upcoming stream.

While it still stands that JC should stay away from this game, the original creator no longer benefits financially from anything Jeepers Creepers related. I think he lost the rights as well
You're correct, after some digging he sold the rights, hence why JC Reborn could be made.
But if I'm being frank, I honestly don't care if he does or doesn't. The franchise is forever tarnished by him and his actions. Anything remotely related to supporting the nonce, even with just mere publicity, disgusts me to my core.

Its based of a true story, Some of these killers are based of true killers who have done some horrible weird #########.
Idk man if you wanna give money and publicity to a nonce that's kinda weird
-
Honestly if it wasnt for the Charms UI being terrible I'd support it completely. Improve the problem of Charms clutter and fix the inventory and I see less than no problems with it.
-
If we ever get a JC chapter I would quit on the spot. I don't want to be even remotely affiliated with anyone that would support that creator monetarily.

Today for whatever reason, there's been some minor changes to the menu UI, specifically the lobby/inventory.
First of all: your equipped perks are now shown next to your character in the menu and lobby.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/00SDPY34RIQW/image.png
Hovering over them shows the description like normal:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/LPGQF6C1KEWR/image.png
Unfortunately this popup only applies to your character, and not your teammates.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/OG9PZHO5X0QE/image.png
Empty slots now have a plus icon in them:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/IOSE0N30RUHX/image.png
And finally, there's a line connecting the addon icons and your power/item:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/SHD77QHV81H4/image.png
Some very minor changes, and not mentioned in any kind of Patch Notes. Who knows, this could mean they're working on more features for the inventory screen or lobby. It could also mean a UI designer got bored and decided to touch up some icons, though, but only time will tell.
Interesting.
I don't have that.

I was thinking the same thing. This means they aren't even going to talk about it during the anniversary stream.
It'll get a shirt segment overshadowed by everything else we've learnt today
-
"Find out more July" meaning this isn't the anniversary chapter and is instead a paragraph... Meaning they've just overshadowed their entire anniversary chapter (unless it's something massive like Alien). Nice.

One thing I never see mentioned is that ALL of these cosmetics are sets. There's not a single smidge of mix and match capability here because they're all locked.
And we all know how the core community feels about needlessly locked sets, don't we

Why would you not love him? My little boy
Joke aside, It's the only one male character I play in the survivor side, but for now, I don't play him with the prestige change
Before, I just give the level 45 at one character with perks who interest me, and go back with David for playing it and get the new perks for him
Now, I try something different, with the change, all survivor get the three perks from all your characters you got at prestige 3, so, for the survivor side, killer, i can't play some of these, I play who I level up at prestige 3 and try to make some build with at least, one perk of him
When I'm gonna finish all the survivor, I'm gonna retake David
He's so babygirl

Yeah, obviously there are some who won't play David for absurd, insecurity based reasons or straight up bigotry, and those losers can kick sand. I mean, I'm sure some people played David because they wanted to identify with their perception of what he was, but let's be honest most of those people were just tiny little half men fantasizing about being a badass, and their fragile masculinity couldn't take any association with anything gay, so they stopped playing him.
These types are pathetic, of course.
But there are other reasons we see fewer Davids:
- There are just more survs than before. The more characters are introduced, the smaller each slice of the pie gets.
- His perks have gotten less useful. Not just DH, but WGLF. He used to be a character you'd want to level first; not so much anymore.
- His most recent visual iteration isn't that great. His face vaguely reminds me of a kappa
But I wasn't referring to anybody else in my comment except for those that don't play him because he's gay.
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3420312#Comment_3420312
I mean this is fair. You can't force people to play David. If they don't like him anymore for any reason, they can leave him. This does not makes them bigoted or fanatical.
No. But that isn't the situation at hand.
The situation at hand is someone who did play every character in DBD, and now refuses to play David King because one thing about him changed (his sexuality was revealed), as they can no longer relate to him specifically. And yet every other character is still played, meaning they can wholly and fully relate to every other character (because there are other personality traits, lore tidbits, etc. about David outside of his sexuality).
Or, if they cannot wholly and fully relate to every character in DBD (including licenced ones, so Laurie, Yoichi, Quentin), with their vast experiences, quirks, personality traits, etc. then the only reason they no longer play David King is because he is gay, meaning they have singled out one specific aspect of his character, reduced him down to nothing but that aspect (his sexuality), and now refuse to play as him because they can no longer identify and relate.
Obviously, if they just stopped playing him because whatever, it wouldn't be a problem. I haven't played him in like half a year now because Sheva + Claudette. But they specifically singled out the reason they stopped playing him was because his sexual identity was revealed.
It is exactly what @Sharby said here and more.
@Sharby said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3420291#Comment_3420291
People are entitled to their beliefs (somewhat.) But let's not be delusional.
If him being gay is the straw that makes someone drop the character entirely then it's bigotry. I don't need nor want to argue about it but there's no point in pretending.
And let's be real, the amount of people not playing David because he's gay vs the amount of people not playing him for literally any other reason is like 10 to 1000, so it doesn't matter.
Do you see the issue now, or do I need to get the bright pink highlighter out?

I guess with that reasoning you could say the same about the people that choose to play David after he was changed. I wouldn't say that personally but to each their own I suppose.
I'd argue there's a serious difference between celebrating diversity and condemning diversity but you do you boo

Nah b/c most games feature male protagonists and are in third-person view so you’re looking at male ass. It’s because the guy survivors are louder, larger, and have bigger hit boxes
The hitbox part is actually untrue. All survivors share the same hitboxes and hurtboxes.
