Purposefully trying to ruin the experience of others for no real benefit to either party, or doing so specifically for one specific person.

It happens even if you don’t play like a dick.
If you have a rough game, survivors still have the propensity to send you a “ggez baby killer” despite being unprovoked.
let's not pretend it's just survivors that say things unprovoked, okay?
there was... no tbagging, because she chased me all game. no pointing, she got 2 hooks on me (and tunneled me all game <3), no bt just people bodyblocking well, no ds, no clicky clicky, no anything. but here we are.

trust me don't get the mask unless you want to be tunneled and camped every game. killers think the mask means the player is really good and toxic and try to tunnel them to avoid getting looped forever.

So if before EGC starts, a killer pins someone in a corner, it's a bannable offense. Does that mean that technically after EGC has started, a killer can bodyblock someone in a corner?
Yes, as it's certain when the game will end. Before that, however, is bannable, as confirmed by @Gay Myers (Luzi) in this comment:

Don't you love it when toxic people excuse their toxicness by saying: "They made me do it."
They bm people who don't bm just because they are survivors lol.
How is that different than people they condemn? Its is basically the same thing.
Okay no what's going on we've agreed on a topic for two entire threads in a row
-
@SlothGirly said:
@Huge_Bush @GoodBoyKaru I really don't see tbagging or flashlight clicking as toxic, even if done to "aggregate the killer" same for a killer slugging the last survivor until they bleedout. A small bit of bm and taunting never goes astray and generally speaking those actions are pretty petty and very inconsequential. I think if people are getting annoyed and frustrated at tbagging or clicking then the issue isn't with the person who is trying to bm. I don't see why such should be considered toxic, especially when similar things are in other games too and yet receive much, much less hate or have less stigma about them.
I will add in bodyblocking to prevent somebody from doing anything however, that is an issue I agree.
If you purposefully try to make the other people aggrevated- as you call it, bm- that's hardly great behaviour is it? Tell me you lack empathy without telling me you lack empathy.
-
Slugging is not toxic. Slugging somebody- and standing over their body- when they are the last survivor remaining is, as it provides no benefit to either party.
Tunneling is not toxic. Tunneling someone throughout several games, or tunneling one survivor and farming with the rest, is.
Head nodding and hitting on hook is toxic. It provides no benefit to either party and serves specifically as a means to annoy somebody.
T-bagging to get attention is not toxic. T-bagging once you have attention is an action specifically designed to aggrevate others and providing no benefit to either party, and so is toxic.
Flashlight clicking to get attention is not toxic. Flashlight clicking when you have attention is toxic, and can even cause some who suffer from epilepsy to have a seizure.
Body blocking for others is not toxic. Body blocking somebody in a corner and refusing to move is toxic, and is actually holding the game hostage if this happened pre-EGC, which is bannable.
Calling something you don't like toxic isn't toxic- it's just showing a clear misunderstanding of the definition of the word.
A lot of this is situational, and depending on the situation, can be toxic behaviour.
I've typed the word toxic so often it doesn't sound real anymore.
-
@Kurri said:
Not bannable, why are pc players so toxic? The chat feature. Not one Killer joins this game with the plan to be toxic, it's the toxic survivors that bm them in end game chat at later levels that makes them start to not care anymore, and look to punish players more than playing to have fun.
If you keep being a good sport about the game, over time you will see less toxic players. Unfortunately this would have to be a group effort, as the Support teams does nothing to prevent toxicity in the game. (Actually the game design at it's core is designed to stress you out, and make players more toxic)
Your statement is so wrong on so many levels it's genuinely depressing.
Survivors are not the sole reason for toxicity. Put your victim complex away.

Entirely a you problem im gonna be honest

BBQ is basically always in my build.
Depending on the killer, I may use some more of em. Like, on Pyramid Head, I'm All Ears is his best perk without a shadow of a doubt, so of course I use it on him.

This bothers me, too. What I've seen people say is that the portals spawn before they fire chains, so, when it seems like new chains are spawning to interrupt you, actually there was a portal you didn't see. And then the advice is to dodge all of the chains and somehow make sure there are no portals 360-degrees around you before you start solving.
IMO, it's too difficult to do that. By the time I dodge the last set of chains and try to turn in a circle, new portals have already spawned.
They will spawn in clusters of 3 at a time. Chain 1, Chain 2, Chain 3, break. During this break, when you've heard the third chain go and you know you've dodged it is when you start solving. That break is long enough to move out of the way and begin the box, preventing any further chains from spawning.
Don't look for the portals, listen to the number of chains.

Idk I forgot it

Why do you think it is not balanced?
It's quite risky to do and not really easy, if you miss, then you lost quite a lot of time for it.
Alchemist's Ring? Because it takes away most of his counterplay lmfao??
If you're in a spot where you get hit, okay, that's great. He now has to recover his charges leaving you time to get distance, put more obstacles in the way, and make the Blight either catch up on foot for the 20 head slam combo, or use bump logic to down you while you can use trees and rocks.
Until they've got Alchemist's Ring, and immidiately dash after you and kill you. Very balanced.

which is kind of dumb. in 1200+ hours i've gotten a killer twice in a row once. Everyone else quit and he killed me both times and said he didn't realize. Who the hell keeps track?
It's not twice in a row, though. It's consistently over several games- aka more than 2- and the killer must go for only you for all of those games.

Correct me if I'm wrong but is targeting aside from tunneling?
This was clarified by the mod team around the release of the pride charm.
Targeting someone to ruin their experience involves tunneling somebody- often only them- across multiple games in a row. Afaik this doesn't have to be consecutive, but if you get the same killer three times within like, 2 hours, and EVERY game they tunneled you first, and let the other three live, that would be classed as targeted specific users repeatedly.
-
Yeah doesn't seem so, you'd only have a case for the Steve
-
Oh, people can play how they like. My stance is that if they play scummy, though, they have absolutely zero rights to complain when the other team (or same team) plays scummy back. If you facecamp don't complain when gens fly and 3 people tbag you at the gates. If you clicky clicky all game don't complain when you're facecamped- that sort of thing. If you bodyblock a survivor repeatedly then don't expect that survivor to save you, and a lot of killers will leave them alone to tunnel you because it's a dick move.
Play how you like, but if you're being a dickhead then don't complain if the other side are too.

You should know as well as anyone that holding forward is incredibly strong. Survivor takes minimal skill and is much more about running early and knowing tiles. Killer takes significantly more skill.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2544948#Comment_2544948
No, it’s not good enough, especially when killers like Nemesis and DS can do it for much less work. The cages are usually complete RNG. You can’t know at all times where the survivors are, so you’re hoping it doesn’t spawn next to one of them. Decent survivors rarely clump together, so more often than not you will be sending the cage to a nearby teammate. It is utterly worthless.
If you use cages as alternative hooks and not as a way of creating a lot of pressure by preventing Unbreakable from activating in a situation you'd otherwise slug in and immidiately chase another survivor then of course they'd be bad because you're using them wrong.
Nemesis needs to hit survivors three times, his hitbox is janky and depends on where your camera aims, has an even more limited range, and cannot hit through walls. Deathslinger has a longer range but is a 110% killer so high wall loops with predrop will kill him. He also cannot hit through walls.
Pyramid Head sits in the middle with range (8m), but is 115, can hit through walls, has a much better hitbox too, and can be used in situations outside of animation lock believe it or not.
I main the twat, I know how to play him, he is easily better than Nemesis and if PTB slinger hits live then easily better than him as well.

You mean like some of the outfits that already aren't in a set and have that happen? The answer is people just don't wear them usually so its a self regulated solution.
No there's minor clipping like that then there's nea missing her entire stomach
-
It depends on the set. Some of them do cause major major clipping issues- Blighted Ghostface- and Ultra Rares/Legendaries should remain linked. But things like Kate's Oktoberfest, or Jane's Greek Legends outfit could easily just be a 2 part set for body and trousers. Same with Clown's Greek Legends set- that weapon could easily go solo, but the body and head should stay linked together.
Nea's Graft Crafter, where the hoodie and trousers clip awfully, but that hair isn't that horrid alone? Please bhvr.

Cleansing counts as healing, so yes.
Try a build that doesn't encourage cleansing. Faster infection add ons, no Thanatophobia or anything that penalises being injured. Maybe even stack Exposed effects, Star Struck and Make Your Choice together probably give the most "what's the point in healing?" outside of playing simply myers, ghostface or legion.
Do you know how adept achievements work?

Compared to Nurse, Spirit, Blight? He comes nowhere near them. If you want to deny reality, that’s your problem. In hexy’s tournament, Nurse averaged 2k. When ph was used, he was lucky to get two hooks. Like most of the cast, he is irrelevant.
There's being a top-tier killer and then there's being a strong killer. Whilst he isn't top-tier, Pyramid Head is definitely a lot stronger than people give credit for and is in absolutely no way, shape, or form a weak killer.
-
@woundcowboy said:

Nope, in fact PH is a good example of what is wrong with killer. It is way too hard to consistently hit his power, and even then it has limitations. He is way too much work for too little reward, not to mention his cages, which can often help the survivor. If you are going to put that much effort into the game, you are far better off playing someone like nurse or blight. PH is a pointless character.
lmao

Now I may be an idiot
But 3 seconds is not .5 seconds.
-
It's a strong perk that's equipped "just in case", and it being meta provides a blanket protection against every survivor, if they are or aren't using DS. The introduction of a permanent Obsession means that a lot of killers are genuinely afraid of the DS and so are afraid to tunnel, so even survivors not using DS are protected by the mere existence of the perk.
Of course, if DS ever stopped being commonly used, then we'd return to tunnel city, like it was in matches without Obsessions beforehand.
This may sound weird, but you're getting more value out of DS when it's never used, than you would using it every game.

The emblem system follows the "better than nothing" argument. It's flawed and trash but it's better than point based pipping which we had before
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2544156#Comment_2544156
That's stupid. Why is there 3 hook stages then? Just to waste killer time? Just to give survivors another chance? This is dumb. Score every hook equally or make it 2 hook stages then. Why does the 5th to 8th hook lose all value? This forces killers to camp and tunnel by design. Also getting 9 hooks or 12 hooks is the same ######### then... why bother going for 12 when 9 hooks and a single sacrifice is enough for Iridescent?
######### rules are these? There's literally no incentive to do better than 9 and there's no reward for doing anything below 9. There's no middle term. You absolutly must kill someone before they reach the third hook stage, again promoting camping and tunneling.
######### is this design.
What's the point of 3 hook states? No clue love ask the devs, but changing it now would need the entirety of the game to be rebalanced.
-
@lemonsway said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2542938#Comment_2542938
It clearly states you need 9 hooks for Iridescent, if i got 8 then i should by description be on Gold Emblem since if i only need 1 more for Iridescent then i can't just jump from Bronze to Iridescent without passing the other Categories. I hooked everyone twice... How can that be only Bronze? I did the double of the work for Bronze plus i'm not getting any -1 for camping and i wasn't tunneling. This is dumb.
All that text says is you tunnel someone you get 2 points cause you're getting the sacrifice meaning hook stages don't freaking matter at all. I can either just camp 2 guys and get 2 kills and get more points than actually playing the game..
Ok screw Survivors then, i'm gonna Tunnel and camp then. THX BHVR you did this and you want this.
You need at minimum 9 hook actions, as well as kills, to get iri. Silver needs kills. Gold needs kills. Bronze does not.
That is why.
