For me, Doctor is very underrated. On the other side, Oni is incredibly overrated.
-
I normally just use add-ons up to green. Purple and Red add-ons normally change the killers playstyle by a lot or are so rare that you can't always count on them, so I don't find them reliable.
With that being said, ofc I like using some of them. Cigar Box and Compound 23 are among my favourites.
-
Once I was streaming my gameplay to some friends on discord. These friends never played DBD before and then I started playing Twins.
After some time, one of them said "So... The kid does everything and the girl is just useless?".
I didn't know how to answer.
-
I kinda like the red stain. I find it atmospheric and suits the game giving all the killers something in common.

you're wrong. maclean recently stated it's a bug.
hopefully it'll get fixed so you actually need to learn to play
It's not like it's an easy thing to do in the first place...
-
I facecamped the survivors and kept hitting them on the hook because I thought it would make them die faster lol. I mean, as someone who was new to game it was somewhat of an obvious assumption, isn't it?
-
Suffocation Pit. That map is an abomination.
-
I would like a water themed map. The Fishing Hamlet from Bloodborne would be a good choice.
-
Also, I would like to add that the existence of CoH is in itself a nerf to Sadako. She clearly is a hit & run killer and this perk has basically made this playstyle impossible.
-
Boons are actually worse to be honest. If you were lucky, you could get rid of Undying + the other hex perk by only doing 2 bones.Worst case scenario, your team would have to cleanse all 5 totems to get rid of the hex, whichj would take a long time but it would end eventually.
With boons, you can snuff the totem as many times as you want and you won't get rid of it. That's the reason why I always say that the only counterplay to boons is by tunneling the user, since it's the only way to get rid of them for good on a match.
-
I like the first and second changes but the third one seems problematic to me. As it is for Pig, she shouldn't be able to see the death timer on survivor as to avoid tunneling with her power. On Sadako's case it is much more dangerous since she has some agency over the curse meter.
The change that I would suggest is either:
A: Decrease the curse meter on the survivors.
B: Make it so that the meter starts filling up on the moment they receive the first condemned stack (best option imo).
This is for a very simple reason, survivors never feel pressure to copy the tape in the first place. It is EXTREMELY RARE to come to a point where the survivor's condemned meter gets dangerous to a point where they have to copy a tape and when it happens, it occurs only once per match. Not only that, but it can come to a situation that the survivor may even become fully condemned but they already are on their last hook so there is absolutely no reason to copy the tape.
Just think about it, Sadako is supposed to be a killer focused on 4v1 with a passive slowdown. Now let's compare it to other killers with passive slowdown.
Doctor - A good Doctor will put you on madness 3 multiple times throughout the match, making you snap out of it over and over.
Freddy - Against a Freddy, you're always going to sleep and waking up.
Cenobite - The box gets solved at least 3 times per match, at least from my experience.
Pig - There is one trap per survivor and it's can escalate to a big secondary objective if they have bad RNG.
At the end of the day, Sadako doesn't have a good 1v1, which is okay if she was designed to be 4v1 focused. However, she doesn't accomplish that because part of her kit is so underwhelming that she rarely gets any use out of it.
-
I don't mind medkits tbh. What should be nerfed is CoH and that's it.
-
Victor should be able to drag survivors to hooks. The fact that he can't do that makes Twins obligatory sluggers. On the past, when the Devs were discussing the possibility of Chucky on DBD they said that he could very well drag the survivors to hooks so I don't see why not do the same for Victor.
-
Grim Embrace is not even close to be considered a bad perk, at least when you compare it to most of the killer perks.
With that being said, the time the generators get blocked need some buff. 40 seconds is too short. Also, Grim Embrace should activate when the last survivor gets unhooked, not when he gets hooked.

Now that we are still on topic, can you change Blight's as well. It makes no sense being *Downing* instead of just hitting them with your lethal rush.

Thanks <3

Predator is probably the only killer perk in the game who hinders you.
-
Honestly, compared to how atrocious most maps in this game are, I actually like RPD.

Most maps don’t seem to have this problem actually. RCPD does in the library. Midwich can sometimes not spawn a hook in the upper hall. Mother’s Dwelling might need an extra hook near the house. Maybe on the Asylum map there’s a problem?
A lot of other maps don’t though. Slaughterhouse is all one level I think? Game has lots of hooks on both floors. Dead Dawg Saloon has hooks near the stairs I think, and definitely has hooks near the gallows.
Maybe I’m overlooking something but it doesn’t seem like a lot of maps have that kind of broken spot on par with the library in RCPD. 🤷♂️
Ormond os extremely abusable. If they get to the second floor you simply don't get them. Thompson's House, Eyrie of Crows, Disturbed Ward and Ironworks of Misery have the same problem. Also, depending on the hook RNG, Father's Chapel and Coal Tower can also be a problem. Not even talking about Haddonfield, which has been disabled.
Midwich surprisingly is not even problematic on that aspect.
-
@dugman said:
I don’t think they necessarily need to kill switch Boil Over, but they may end up wanting to temporarily kill switch a map or two in order to add hooks to problem spots.
There is far too many maps that can be abused by such thing.

Amazing that people dont understand what the Kill-Switch is for.
The Kill-Switch is for things which are not working as intended and can cause serious problems. The Kill-Switch is NOT for Perks you dont like but are working as intended.
I am sorry, but I doubt that abusing Boil Over with No Mither to take the game hostage while abusing map design was intended and it's not a serious problem.

Collect more data on it. Right now i think i think that it's just RPD is the issue.
Nope. Boil Over can be abused on Ormond, Dead Dawg, Disturbed Ward, Ironworks of Misery, Mother's Dwelling, Thompson's House and Eyrie of Crows.

A very, very slow bleed out.
Then what's the difference between that and people lag switching with No Mither?
-
People using it to take the game hostage with No Mither is definitely game-breaking.
-
It's not just RPD that can be abused by Boil Over. You can also do it on Ormond, Ironworks of Misery, Dead Dawg Saloon, Eyrie of Crows and Disturbed Ward. I think you can also do it on Mother's Dwelling but I am not sure. Also, Haddonfield will probably enter this list once it gets live again.
So your solution would be kill switching half of the game's maps?
-
I really don't see the difference between this and those people who lag switched with No Mither. It's essentially the same thing, you can't hook them because they wiggle off and you can't slug them because they can get up by themselves.
-
I know that Boil Over has been problematic because of how abusable it is but what's the problem with Dead Man's Switch?
-

Some good points in here! Having to do that 4 times is a bit much, especially against survivors who know how to play against Pyramid Head. It should be pretty easy to lower the number, we'll look into it! 🙂
Thanks, I appreciate that :)

I don't mind, I main him. You guys are just so used to get your regular Doctor daily :3
Nah man, no killer in the game has such a bad daily.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
Okay, so what you do is down them. Walk up to a wall and set a trail parallel to the wall. Pick them up, line up to the right of the torment so that when they wiggle out, they land on the trail. If they realize what you are doing, you can just drop them and pick them back up. In my experience, they usually 99 their wiggle which is basically best case scenario for you.
That is what I do for the daily mission when I want it done in one game guranteed.
This seem to take a very long time. By the time you get it done, you will probably have 0 gens left.
-
I hope this is sarcasm.
-
I think that if FNAF ever gets a chapter it wouldn't have a survivor and it would be like Hellraiser and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. We never see the faces of any normal humans in the series and the only one we see (Vanessa) is very cartoony and would need a makeover to be put in DbD, which I don't think the license holders would allow.
-
I disagree with Otz on a lot of things, but one of the few things he gets right is that Myers is indeed the worst killer in-game by a huge shot.
-
Dead Hard should simply not give you invincibility frames. Being one time use is too much.
-
Honestly, ranged killers like Trickster, Huntress and Deathslinger should all be 115%.
-
Dead Hard is already strong enough as a dash. The invencibility frames are just BS and the hit validation not only makes auto Dead Hard stronger than ever but also counters a lot of killers.
Just a dash would be more than enough for it's worth.
-
Every day I think to myself: Why the hell the Mr. Puddles charm, which is a killer cosmetic, is a survivor only charm?
It doesn't even make sense.
-
It is so BS that survivors can bless a totem over and over again. It takes a high risk high reward mechanic from killer and makes it totally braindead on the survivor's side.
The totem should break on the first time it gets snuffed out and that's it.
-
I like variety in DbD, so it's better having more maps. The only map that I would delete if I could is Suffocation Pit.
-
Doctor, Twins and Hag are my three mains.
I also enjoy Plague, Pig, Freddy, Pyramid and Clown. I used to like Spirit as well before they murdered the poor thing.
-
if you pair it with Jigsaw Annotated Plan she becomes stronger since she can get some time in the early game to get the ball rolling + another trap for the survivors who get it out quickly.
-
I am on the team that thinks that old Ruin was infinitely better than the one we have nowadays. I am all for having a perk that does the same thing.
-
I play every killer in the game. Of course, I have my favorites but I try to play all. Pinhead is in the category in which I like the concept but I hate the execution. He could be very strong if his chains didn't break so quickly. The thing is, he is a hard killer to master since hitting a chain requires you basically to use a Nurse's blink + Billy's chainsaw and if you miss, you get really punished because of it because Pinhead basically stays still while possessing a chain. This wouldn't be a problem if he also had a high reward by hitting the chain, but that's not the case since in practice you are just getting a small slowdown like the Afterpiece Tonic, making him a high risk, low reward killer on chase.
-
Dead Hard is already incredibly strong just with the dash part of the perk. The invincibility frames part is just BS, which got worse with hit validation and gave it a lot of really stupid moments. The perk should be only a dash to get some distance and extent the loop value, not a thing that counters literally every killer power In the game to some extent.
-
I'm normally not the type to stop playing, but I did get on a hiatus because of Circle of Healing because it is not only a ridiculous broken perk, but it basically destroys two of my 3 fav killers, which is Twins and Hag.

I live in western NA and their has been a pretty clear shift in que times for killer. I'm sorry you think I'm giving you a sob story and crying or whatever but the reality is I usually had to wait till after 7pm to get decent que times for killer. I can now get near instant ques pretty much the second I get home from work at 3pm and it remains consistent.
So, call me whatever insults you want. It has no effect on the objective fact I see whenever I play.
The story is really similar here in South America too. Of course, queue times are slow for both sides during day time, but for survivor, no matter the time of the day, the queues are much longer.
-
I am always up to giving the game more variety. The problem is how BS they made the boon mechanic. If the killer were able to destroy the totem for good, it would already be a step in the right direction. The thing is, since the only way to get rid of a boon is killing the user, it is the expected that people will tunnel the boom use out of the game.
-
Unpopular opinion: Hag is the best basement camper imo.
The thing is, as Bubba, you may just sit in the basement but you won't be doing anything else. Smart survivor will respect Bubba and just let the teammate die while doing gens, so by the time the first person dies, you probably will have only one gen left. Hag on the other hand can just put a lot of traps in the basement and just go do something else. Of course, she doesn't have the lethality to instadown an entire team that goes to the basement, but she can pretty much get trades or even prevent single person saves, which is more than enough in most cases.

Orphan of Kos from bloodborne will forever be my dream license.

Almost all the powers seem extremely painful to use. I would rather be invisible, which is a cool ability, and just go around ringing a bell.
