Blah blah blah play like crap so I can get BP.
No. Earn them. If you can't, back to the lobby you go. I came to play the game and kill you, not give you a funhouse ride. Screw up and you get a one-way trip back to brown town.
Sure go ahead. Just don't whine and cry when you get teabagged at the exit gate.

If the devs claim to give a crap about diversity then yes, we need autistic survivors. Gay people in this thread are saying that since straight people exist in the game then gay people should as well. Well, neurotypicals exist in this game so ummm... Yea... Same logic.
And don't even mention Leatherface. Leatherface is an insanely bigoted portrayal of autistic people. I don't even know where to begin with how offensive this character is.

You're putting words in my mouth again. I never said that.
Survivors in general, regardless of rank or skill, has a lot of overpowered things that carry them. Put these on a good survivor and the game becomes unwinnable unless you're Nurse/Spirit.
Then why do bad survivors get swamped by bad killers?
-
@CoalTower said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2293676#Comment_2293676
I said that most survivors are bad, which makes killrates artificially high.
The REASON that they're bad is because survivor has so many advantages that they get carried to high ranks.
First you said survivors perform better at the high ranks. Now you are saying survivors perform better at the low ranks. You are contradicting yourself.

Change my mind. My proves from my experiences:
- I saw so many killers let us go when team were played so bad. I am not saying all killer players doing this but i saw so much killer did let us go.
- So many times killers giving last guy hatch.
- When i get 1 or 2 dc, killers did let us fix gens and leave.
- Most killer players writing "gg wp" even they are lose with 4 escapes.
But survivors?
- I never saw they give me free hook when i played so bad.
- I never saw they did make game more slower when i got 1 or 2 hooks with losing 3 or 4 gens.
- So many of them are writing "gg wp" only when they wins. But some of them are nice and writing gg even they die.
- Most killers finishing games fast when they win. But survivors? When they win, they are t-bagging on gates for waste killer's more time.
Change my mind if you can.
Killer:
- Vast majority don't. I have let more survivors escape as killer then I have had killers let me escape. I have played 1000 hours of survivor and only 100 of killer.
- This is the same as 1. Again, no, vast majority don't.
- I have had that happen exactly once. I have played 1000 hours of survivor and only 100 of killer. Most killers smile when this happens because they know the game will be super easy. Go figure.
- Nobody says gg when they lose on either side.
Surviver:
- That is not the same. 3k is still a win. 3 escapes and me dying is still a loss.
- I don't see killers letting me complete gens when 2 people get hooked either. Also killer is at their strongest with one gen left.
- Nobody says gg when they lose on either side.
- This one is actually true. but survivors don't tunnel or face camp so were even.
All in all I rate this 0/10 and rate the entire community on both sides 10/10 for toxicity.
-
@CoalTower said:
Because most survivors are bad and can't compete with a good killer. At high levels the game is survivor sided, but judging by your posts, you aren't even close to that level yet.
Oh so survivor is hard while killer is face role easy mode. Gotcha. 😉
-
Because she is fun to play as. And no she isn't OP at all. The average survivor player has 0 idea how to counter her. Wraith is more bullshit imo.
-
Ahh okay. I'm stupid lol. I walked right into that one.😆

Oh god... Killers are now whining about Blast Mine... This is where we are at now... 😑

Except the word we're talking about - a person's name, as a matter of fact - comes from a very specific language and has a very specific pronunciation.
If someone who speaks, say, Sudanese, tells you that their name is pronounced in a certain way and you say that it doesn't matter because you speak, say, Finnish, and so you're gonna pronounce it a different way, they're gonna be right, as well as upset, and you're gonna be wrong. Because they actually speak the language from which their name originates and you do not.
The word "car" is not pronounced differently in Xhosa just because they have a different way of pronouncing words, because the word "car" is not Xhosa to begin with.
This is not a difficult concept.
I have experience with exactly what you described my last name is Polish and English people could not pronounce it so they changed it to something that English people could pronounce. Again, it's arbitrary. I am not gonna get upset because someone from a difference language can't pronounce my name. That is the reality of having a 1,000 languages in the world.
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2231066#Comment_2231066
Doesn't mean there isn't a correct and incorrect way to pronounce things, particularly nouns.
Yes it does. Otherwise you need to speak the language of the people that lived 200,000 years ago in Africa because they invented language and that means they are right and are the only way to correctly pronounce words.

Your argument is that survivor in general, and DH, should not be nerfed, because survivor perks suck. That is not true, i listed 5 very strong perks, there are plenty more that are good, some in combination (spine chill with resilience for example to make a vault build).

Survivor perks suck ? DH, IW, SB, UB, BT just to name a few, are insanely strong. There are countless others too. ?
When i read posts like yours, i wonder, are you serious or just a troll? What level do you play, green ranks ?
3/5 of the perks you mentioned I already talked about. Unbreakable does nothing unless you get slugged which I never do. SB can't be used with Dead Hard.
Oh btw no I am red rank. Of coarse now watch you shift the goalpost to "rank means nothing."

Why do some people always try to make this an killer vs survivor argument. A lot of us play both roles and only want what they think is best for the game. I play both killer and survivor, on the survivor side a key/hatch rework (is happening) and a DH and iron will nerf is very high on the list. But i also want a noed rework/nerf, bloodlust (tier2 and above) removed, spirit nerf, and more perks for killer that encourage/reward them to play the 12 hook game.
...So you wants Keys/DH/IW nerfed. ...But don't worry because you also want a perk that good killers never use nerfed, a killer that I play, enjoy and don't think is OP at all nerfed and a bunch of buffs for killer so that 4k becomes the new standard. You can't even make this ######### up... Not surprised coming from the same forum where I saw a guy arguing that Red Herring is a good perk or all those people who think Counterforce deletes killer totems from the game.
Survivor perks suck. I run DH and BT and half the time the last 2 slots are filled by whatever I feel like at the moment because it barely even makes a difference. People think IW is OP I guess, but ehhh? Just run Stridor, although I admit that is difficult and easier said then done when you have so many good perks to choose from... ;)

Really, most perks on both sides are complete garbage. Although I do believe killers have better perks overall especially because certain niche perks that may not be good for most killers may be really good for one. Example being Spirit. Stridor is not a very good perk on any other killer and yet is very good on Spirit.
LoL @the guy defending Red Herring and trying to argue it's a good perk. I don't even know what to say to that. That is a person who simply enjoys arguing with people.

Mine trap killer rushes over from Tinkerer to kick it with Pop they're blinded you get away.
Flashbang you're on the generator for 50 percent of it when the killer comes when it's 70 percent you throw it blind them get away.
Rookie Spirit you see any regressing generator you get to it before it's brought down low enough to trigger Tinkerer again.
The devs heard enough Tinkerer complaints and made perks to counter it. Like how they made Trickster to counter holding W.
Flashbang has nothing to do with Tinkerer. The other 2 perks are 100% useless.

I have lost 2 games already because of the new struggle mechanic. The other person could not die fast enough and the killer was able to get to the hatch before they died. That is BS. No, I don't want it changed back but if there is only 2 people left you should be able to instantly suicide.

No.

Rank 4 survivor and rank 12 killer. Could probably get higher as killer but find killer too stressful so I don't play it. I am farming bloodpoints with Doctor so once I have a meta Freddy/Doctor I will probably player killer.
-
The people that say they run it for BP only are focusing too much on one part of it. People run it for both BP and information. If you removed either part of the perk nobody would run it nearly as much. I never ran old WGLF because you can't justify handicapping yourself just for BPs and if it only increased healing for downed survivors by 100% I would not run it either as that is a bad effect. It is the fact that it does both that makes it decent perk.
The difference with BBQ is that as an information perk it is actually quite solid in and of itself(Unlike WGLFs heal) and that combined with the BP stacks which are even easier then WGLFs makes it amazing.
-
Yea, I wanna say I was wrong about this. I thought 45 seconds sounded perfect. Nope, I tried using it and it's complete garbage. It really did need to be 90 seconds to be useful. Honestly, survivors just need more viable perks. Maybe Lucky Break wasn't the right choice but I really hope the next chapter gives survivors something actually powerful as killers get a good new perk every chapter while survivors are stuck with less then we had originally.

immersive survivors tend to be the least receptive to any type of criticism or tips.
In my experience, it's the players who think stealth is the root of all evil and refuse to even consider it as an option that are the least receptive to any type of criticism or tips.
Tell a stealth player he should learn to loop, and he'll probably agree with you (or tell you that he does know how to loop, but chooses not to as his primary playstyle). Tell a looper that he should learn to stealth, and he'll scream and insult you for even suggesting that.
There's a lot of confirmation bias that goes into that playstyle. Their team often dies, so they don't focus on objectives or taking aggro because they see it as pointless. Reality is, the team is often dying *because* of their immersion, not in spite of it.
So stealth players suffer from confirmation bias and it's their fault the team dies, but loopers trying to take on the killer 1v1 and dying isn't related in the slightest.
🤨
Stealth doesn't fix generators, stealth doesn't open exit games, stealth doesn't unhook teammates, stealth doesn't cleanse Hex: Devour Hope and stealth doesn't keep the killer off your teammates while they fix generators. Stealth does nothing.
And no, when ever I tell a stealth player to loop they say "I know you make it look easy but it's impossible for me." Which I understand because I felt the same way for the first 500 hours but don't lie to them and tell them they are doing a great job while the best player on the team runs the killer for 5 minutes only to find out no gens were done and goes from feeling like a god to feeling hopeless.

Sloppy Butcher and Stridor. Not too sure about others. But those are very good with spirit.

Acid Rockets: Survivors suffer form Slowdown.
Etc. Etc.
Are those different types of rockets from RE?

Your mistake is playing multiple survivors.
Survivor grind is super easy because I have never and will never play anyone besides my beloved Feng. I grind a char to level 40 then just level Feng 6 times for the 3 teachable perks. Rinse and repeat.
Killer grind on the other hand is god awful. I am trying to be very strategic and make sure I know exactly what I want and don't want less I end up with 50 garbage perks that each have 3 tiers that I have to grind through for every single killer. That is why I am playing only Spirit and made sure to grab all the meta perks for her before I begin the awful grind for Hag, Freddy, Doc and Trickster. Which I have yet to start because it is so intimidating.
-
OoO is for making epic montages on Youtube called:
"Poor killer gets looped for 5 gens!!! 😂"
"Salty killer just doesn't learn to look at walls and gets blinded while picking up xxx2000xxx times!!! 🤗"
"Rank 20 killer misses every single attack. 😏"
Not for playing seriously.

Infectious Freight is not aura reading perk.
The Killer only gets the current location of the survivors in the Terror Radius.
Survivors who shout can run or hide in a safe position.
If Killer was able to use Infectious Freight to dying state multiple Survivors in a short time, it is due to their skills.
Even if it wasn't the Terror Radius but a smaller area than 32 meters, I would still listen to Heartbeat and try to stay away from that place as I do now.
..........................So just survivor perks then... Right got it...

16m+16m, 32m range from the hook.
That's a spherical range of 64m diameter centered on the hook, right?
it is showing your aura to everyone if you're under that radius AND the hooked surv is the Kindred user.
To add to this, even if the hooked survivor is not a Kindred user, another survivor who has Kindred can see the killer's aura.
it isn't map wide
The minimum size of the elements called "tiles" that make up a map is 16mx16m.
Can you imagine how many pallets, windows, loops, and jungle gyms a 64m diameter sphere would contain?
That's a wide range.
Leave the hook, do your killer's job : kill the surv that are doing gen.
Again.
It is the right play to guard the unhook to progress the sacrifice phase when necessary.
So does Infectious freight have a 64 meter range too? Or is it just survivor perks?

- The Borrowed time prevent survivor to be killed so fast after 15 min of waiting for a match. A general neccesity but hope survivor wont abuse it so mutch.(chasing killer all the time)
- Lucky Break i mean come on, was completly useless before the buff and less than a minute isnt that strong
- Freddy nerf THANK THE ***** GOD
- Huntress realy good job
- Obession no matter what is a great idea, keep the decisive PTSD witch it prevent killer to be an ***
Overall id like to say i understand all the change behavior dont expect to everyone agree with the change but i believe its heading into the good direction.
My suggestion
- Spirit still need a nerf in my opinion like : be as invisible as the wraith or proper sound witch we can realy tell the distance from the killer and the survivor or a least remove the red stain when phasing
- Bubba need to have a cool down after using his special either for faking it or after using it of 2 to 4 seconde witch would prevent those poeple of raging upon good survivor and let a chance to be saved
- Pyramid head the same, killer mutch throw his attak or be punished for it on short distance
- still tired to find bad item in chest and a perk who do not guarranty a good one is no way im using it
also still waiting for a different game mode.
Thank you for reading and "you did a pretty good job so far" :D
Spirit would be gutted if you could see her.
Leatherface is the single most balanced killer in the game.
I hate Pyramidhead so I agree even though what you are saying is probably just whining.
Then don't waste your time with chests. What, you want a red key every time?

It doesn't stack with itself. The potential caps at 32
32m is the radius.
When Open Handed and Kindred are combined, the range to reveal the killer's aura is a 64 meter diameter sphere.
it usually only hurts you for as long as you actively guard the unhook.
No, it's not limited to that. That's why I said "excessive".
Also, sacrificing/killing the survivor is important for the killer to win the match.
This is because in 1vs4 situation, the Survivor side has the advantage.
Therefore, it is the right play to guard the unhook to progress the sacrifice phase when necessary.
That is so irrelevant. It has 32 meter range. Why overcomplicate it to make it sound worse then it actually is.
No, you don't have to camp to win. Just pressure the hook. Most killers don't camp.

I didn't see it yet in any match. Survivors love their broken meta too much to use this perk i guess. I have seen only a few running small game in swf and totems getting destroyed really fast, devour hope is rip. I didn't get to use it a single time not even for the 3 tokens the whole night.
This is a bad time to run totems. Just don't. Every survivor is trying out Small Game because it was buffed. Like what? You think it's OP? Lol.
As for Lucky Break, I have yet to see anything on it. I doubt it's op or even meta albeit probably a good perk.
-
Spirit main here.
Predator is crap don't fall for it. Total trap. Scratch marks are unreliable and easily juked and it removes marks from walls. Do NOT I REPEAT DO NOT become over dependent on scratch marks with this killer. She is about sound. Her strongest addon removes scratch marks FFS...
Stridor is mandatory on her. Yea, you can play without it but I would trade all 3 other perks for Stridor if I had to make that decision. Getting Stridor on Spirit is like the transcendence limitless meme. Headphones are mandatory too(Even more so.)
She isn't an easy killer. She isn't hard like Blight or Nurse but she isn't easy. Everyone just hates her with the burning passion of a 1000 hells so they say she can be played by a lobotomized snail.
She is like a reverse plague/legion. Her biggest strength is easily downing wounded survivors. Like if you are wounded vs a Spirit you may as well already be down. She is gonna ######### get you and there is very little you can do to stop it. She can track you and appear out of nowhere and down you instantly. You can't track her at all. You need to move erratically and be unpredictable.
I do well against her as survivor but that is because I play her and most Spirits are used to survivors panicking against her and acting like chickens with their heads cut off. I see so many idiot survivors do the dumbest stuff vs her. Like run in straight lines or camp pallets... WHILE WOUNDED! That is a death sentence vs Spirit.
Her biggest flaw is that she like every killer that is amazing at chases is slow with map pressure which is why I recommend Corrupt on her.
Is she OP? Maybe but I don't care and I will protest any attempt to nerf her lol. 😁
-
So I gave negativity earlier.
And I want to say the hook change is amazing! I have problems in my fingers that prevent me from performing repetitive motions and now it feels nice and yet still interactive. Noobs also get help with their skillchecks! Great all around change.

It didn't give allot but it was a reward for sitting around getting face camped. There is now ZERO reward for not giving up when you get face camped.

If you refuse to play killer the right way (yes, this includes tunneling at times, even occasional camping when it is applicable) that's up to you, but no need to sit here and moralize your decision.
Camping is generally never applicable and is actively harmful unless you mean patrolling. But yea, tunneling is the optimal way to play. Like I feel very dirty and bad for the guy I'm doing it to but tunneling the easiest guy makes the game into a 3v1 real fast. Honestly, unless there is like 2 or less gens left 3v1 is basically unwinnable for survivors.
Tunneling the best player will outright lose you the game and if you are having 0/1K games THIS is why.

According to people on this forum, that wouldn't be possible, because people who play survivor never play killer.
So true. I am a survivor main that also plays Spirit. I do not have enough blood points to invest in other killers right now until I completely finish grinding out all the survivor perks of which I have nearly all of them except for Dwight and Tapp. But I am going to be grinding out Hag and Doc soon(TM.) I refuse to play a killer without BBQ and Pop. Survivor grind is not bad in this game because I only need to level up Feng + characters for there teachables. But killer grinding is scary... I am trying to limit how much I grind killer to prevent myself from having my perk pool filled with useless trash perks.
Unrelated: What is the best perk build for Hag? Should I run Pop and BBQ? I have heard those are bad for her. I have Corrupt already and I am certain that is probably a good choice for her. I wanna make sure I have everything I need in preparation for the level 100 grind.

You can say gens go too fast and that is fine but if you are chasing the same guy for 2 minutes there is no excuse. You deserve to lose. Admit you were outplayed and move on.

I've never used DS as a survivor but since it's change I've started a "cientific experiment". I've run DS ever since and even when I just ran in the map for 60s I've never got to use it.
3 times, 3 times in more than a 100 games I've used DS and the killer WAS tunneling me right out of the hook.
Yeah DS is a GREAT anti-tunnel perk and should stay as it is.
You're being tunneled? Great, go slap the DS in the killer's face, it's his fault for going after you right after you've been unhooked.
If you have time do to ANYTHING else you ARE NOT being tunneled and DS should not be avaible.
PS.: I've escaped in 75-80sih % of the matches, and most of the sacrifices were due to SoloQ being SoloQ.
So you used it in 100 games and it worked in 3 games... Success rate of 3%... You are literally proving that it is a bad perk.
Would you run a killer perk that only worked 3% of the time? Be honest.
