Rose-tinted glasses. You're just burnt out.
-
It was nerfed because of the pick rate. If I'm not mistaken, it was one of the most popular perks. And patch 6.1.0 was all about punishing people for sticking to the classics and forcing them to switch it up. This also explains why they slaughtered DS (so more people would use Off the Record instead).
-
Sunk cost, addiction, boredom. Sometimes fun, but only on occasion. /s
-
Just give him a horse for mobility already.
-
I think Scott Jund made a video about this. As long as the capacity is kept small (maybe 5 blocks max), it could work. Plenty of games out there have a block feature and it works fine.
-
They really did go hard with the nerf hammer. I still think the ADS speed nerf was warranted, but he needed buffs to compensate. There really is no reason to play him currently.
-
The quickest way would be to wait for your team to die and let the Killer close the hatch. It’s scummy, but it’s the best way to brute force the challenge without a SWF. I don’t like this challenge :p
-
I don’t expect most Survivors will run that build. It takes 3 perks and a good toolbox with add-ons to really take full advantage. People aren’t just gonna stop running Off the Record or exhaustion perks, or Kindred, etc.
And you can always just dodge if you see 3+ toolboxes in a lobby lol.
-
Nope. Anything goes as long as it’s not cheating. The player is not at fault for using the tools the devs gave them.
-
100% agree. Doing gens is boring as all heck after 6 years. They really need to spice it up somehow.
-
I hate to say it, but probably. Reassurance is a perfect example of a band-aid perk, and I hate the band-aid design philosophy. But I really want to use it..
-
Anyone else surprised they didn’t touch Hyperfocus? You could do a gen solo in like 50 seconds on the PTB.

It used to be Shelter Woods IMO, but at least it has size. Now it’s Wrecker’s Yards. There is a reason why killer mains say it’s “the most balanced map in the game.” 😑🙄
Wrecker’s Yard doesn’t get enough hate. That centralized basement is so dirty.

Midwich is probably the closest to being killer sided, so I would imagine that is the one. It used to be Hawkins. Shout out to the only genuinely killer sided map we had. Boy do I miss it, easy to see why they did not reskin it, however. Can't have just one map for killers.
Hawkins was so disgusting for stealth Killers haha. If I wanted to sweat for a win, I would just pick Wraith with a Hawkins offering. I don’t think I ever lost a match.
-
Shelter woods. Like 1/3 of the map is dead-zone. And it has a strong basement spawn. If someone goes down at shack, it’s over.
-
I think people run flashlights just to annoy the Killer lol. They’re not powerful by any means, but you can get a Killer’s attention with them, if that’s what you want.
-
Spirit is strong enough to run pretty much whatever you want. I feel like you could run whatever perks you like and still do well with her. Slowdown builds and Hex builds (mainly Devour Hope) seem to be the most popular, though.

are both side really try to get the other side to quit? is the main goal to this game is to kill it?
You would think so. A lot of people play with the sole intention of ruining the fun for others. Stuff like face-camping is so common.
-
Dying Light exists. Just use that.
-
Pig is kinda rare, so when you do see one, they're generally playing to win. And I feel like meme Killers are much less common in general nowadays. DBD feels more sweaty overall in recent years.
-
What I liked about the old system was that I could cherry pick teach-ables. I was able to avoid meme perks like Buckle Up and No Mither. Now you are forced to unlock all 3 teach-ables, even if you don't want them.
-
It will truly be glorious. On the other hand, Killers who don’t camp will become stronger. Everyone running Reassurance means 1 less perk slot to deal with. It will be interesting to say the least.
-
His reasoning is pretty solid overall. I think people are just looking at the list and not actually watching the video.
-
I play nice all the time and still get wins, so.. yeah.
-
Matchmaking has always been a dice roll and probably always will be.
-
Usually there's like 1 or 2 decent perks in a DLC and the rest are situational filler. Is what it is.
-
The best part is they tried showing Prestige and character level in the lobby before. Pretty sure it was removed because of dodging. And now it's back lmao. Learning from mistakes is hard.
-
Good tip. Just be aware that uncapping FPS can make you more prone to bugs.
-
Nah, screw hug tech, screw j-flicks, and screw all the other BS exploits that have come with Blight.
-
Dream chapter. I'm pretty sure the Dead Space team is open to collaboration too. There was an Issac Clarke skin in Skate 3, for example (Although that was still EA).
-
And I can win the lottery. Will I pull good teammates this game? Who knows!
-
Define "fixed." They are always adjusting the system as time goes on. But all of the numbers are hidden, so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Not the most constructive post. Although I will agree map design still leaves much to be desired in 2022.
-
Azarov's and Suffocation Pit instantly make me groan because they're basically designed for a 3-gen strat. Dead Dawg and Swamp can be pretty bad too.

They’re getting ready for Superior Anatomy + Bamboozle + Fire Up vaulting builds. But survivors couldn’t have the 6% from Spine Chill.
My beloved Spine Chill. </3
-
Spinning is fun. So it's here to stay.
-
Former Spine Chill main here. I ran that perk every game. I have completely dropped it from my builds. The reason I loved it was because I could tell which direction the Killer was looking in chase, and also the vault speed. It doesn't do those anymore. RIP.
-
Sabo is just bad when you could bring a toolbox instead. It also requires some coordination i.e. SWF. Breakdown is the same; good in SWF, weak in solo.
-
Sometimes altruism is not the correct play. Sometimes it is smart to be selfish. A good DBD player knows when to help and when to save their own skin.
-
Yeah, this is why I dropped Plunderer's. What's the point if I can get brown items anyway?
-
SWF literally has Kindred built-in because of Discord. Along with a slew of other perks. It's only fair for solos to be brought up to SWF level, because they won't nerf SWF in a million years. Also, Killers just got a TON of buffs across the board, so I don't get the problem with throwing solo Survivors some crumbs. Kindred base won't break the game, guys. It will just heavily discourage camping, which is a GOOD thing.

Well it is one of if not the only real killer friendly map and even that depends on the character they are playing.
Shelter Woods.
-
Depends. You guys have seen how bad the PTB was right? Wesker is a buggy mess. They might also nerf some of the perks people are raving about (Reassurance, Hyperfocus). Let's wait and see what changes they make.
-
You don't feel the impact because it's so minimal. 2% haste ain't doing much in most situations.
-
Most of the time, yes. My current in-game name is Hatch Giver 9000 haha. I made a post like 2 years ago about how much I like giving hatch. It's too bad more Killers don't share my opinion :p
-
Thanataphobia was dumpstered because of Survivor complaints if I’m not mistaken. They don’t ignore Survivors, they just make bad decisions in general lol.
-
Example: I have Prove Thyself and we have 1 gen left. The guy Tbagging me for a heal instead of doing the gen is in the wrong.
The fact is, it is often the correct play to remain injured. And if you’re a good Survivor, then you will know when that situation arises.

Ngl, opened this expecting someone asking where all the Spirit mains at?
Body is 1 character too short.

I took a break for a few months, but I’ve actually been getting back into DBD recently. I played 90% solo Q before, but I’ve mostly switched to Killer. The Killer role is easier than ever, and I’ve been having fun with it. Solo Q is not worth my time though :(
-
I swear 3-gens are becoming more common, and it’s not always the Survivors’ fault. Sometimes a cluster spawns so close that the Killer would be stupid not to camp it.
