Don't camp or tunnel. Easy counter. Off the Record was already nerfed.

I just have Nea and Steve at 10. I’ve been putting points into my less-played characters. Once you hit Prestige 9 and have all perks, there’s no reason to keep leveling them unless it’s your main. So I’m just grinding to P9 everybody first.
-
Solo needs a buff period.
-
I think Nurse keeps DBD from reaching true balance potential. She breaks all the rules that other Killers have to follow. So yeah, I think her design is unhealthy. Removal will never happen though.
-
Ngl slowdown perks are annoying asf.
-
Unless you’re running a Commodious with charge add-ons, toolboxes run out pretty quickly. Unless every survivor is running one, it’s not really a problem. I’d argue med-kits are stronger overall.
-
It's her perks. None of them are remotely strong. Usually a Survivor will have 1 decent perk, but Haddie doesn't.
-
I did for a little while, until I realized how much space the videos take up lol. Luckily, Nvidia GeForce has a shadowplay feature, where you can retroactively record the past few minutes (which I only use to report a cheater or something).
-
Imo the goal wasn't to reduce the grind, it was to expand it. Now all the players that had P3'd everyone have 91 more prestige levels to grind per character. More grind = more addiction = more money.

Do you need to remain within 8 meters after activating or can you activate then go work on a gen? If you have to stay within 8 meters that's guaranteed 30 seconds of 2 survivors off gens.
It's 6 meters, and no you don't have to stay, that wouldn't make sense. The idea is to give your teammate more time against a camper so you can keep doing gens.
-
Still can’t believe they made it 3 seconds. The end-game nerf was harsh but fair. The duration nerf was just a slap in the face.
-
It’s bad for both sides tbh. Have you seen the size of the dead zones? It’s basically no man’s land outside of the houses.
-
Nurse. Slap on a map offering like Midwich or The Game and you’re basically guaranteed a hit in the first few seconds.
-
Lol this was exactly what I was thinking when I saw Reassurance. The perfect tool for punishing quitters.
I wish they’d extend the range a bit though. Getting within 6m of a camping Leatherface is kind of a death sentence. It will definitely be a staple in my solo queue build, for sure.

I wish they made the bloodweb automatic or something, it's torture going through it to prestige..
For real. It's not just the sounds. I'm pretty sick of leveling the bloodweb after playing for years. An auto-level button would be a great addition.
-
I have no interest in playing it, but you can't argue it wasn't a smart business move. Sex sells. Period.
-
Fog Whisperers are literally VIPs. Of course they get special treatment.
-
I remember plenty of threads complaining Freddy was too easy to play for how good his kit was. Whether you agree or not, it was kind of a hot topic at one point. But yeah, they went overboard and gave Freddy a dirt nap. Sad.
-
I had no idea this was even a thing. I wish they had never touched the prestige system tbh.
-
61.7% kill rate without add-ons and without using “dirty” tactics is actually kinda nuts. It means a sweaty player who actually brings good stuff likely averages 65-70%, which is too high imo.
-
It’s ironic that they said they didn’t want to make any “knee-jerk reactions” after 6.1. But this Thana change is 100% a knee-jerk reaction lol. Great job.
-
Me too. 4 stacks was like an alternate win condition. I miss it dearly.
-
What’s with the Name, Date, and Subject at the start of the post? Are you writing an essay for school? :p
-
It’s absurd they haven’t acknowledged this. Playing Oni is practically a free 4K at the moment because he constantly has his power up.
-
Kindred base-kit. It’s literally the perfect change because it buffs solo without buffing SWF. Should’ve been done years ago!
-
I've given up #### at this point. The filter has been an issue for at least a year if not more. I don't get why us adults can't have an option to turn it off.
-
No one is saying Legion is strong. They're just boring af. Dead Hard has nothing to do with it.
-
Having to find and cleanse up to 5 totems was ridiculous. Definitely don't want to bring that back.
-
What's even worse is when the Killer finds the Hatch first and they just stand there without closing it until the last Survivor shows. I've seen this go on for 30 minutes. Gotta secure that 4k.
-
The very least they could've done was reduce everything in the bloodweb by 1000. It's clear they never truly wanted to the reduce the grind.

So unpopular opinion I guess but I don't see an issue with the new system. I think in addition to everything is not running the strongest add ons every time. Like Pink and Purple stuff isn't supposed to be in every game and should be more rare as their names suggest.
Agreed, it was way too easy to stockpile all the best stuff before. Although some of the rarest add-ons are kinda trash anyway.

6 months.
3 months for people to calm down and either leave, or adapt.
Another 3 months for a new meta to settle and for the devs to see what the numbers look like now.
Seriously, this Chicken Little-ing is completely ridiculous.
Chicken Little was actually telling the truth about the sky falling though :p He just couldn’t prove it at first.
-
It's about time. The Killer gets a free hit if you get caught there without Balanced Landing.
-
I never use Moris because I could just use a Survivor Pudding or Black Ward instead. You could even argue a Mori is detrimental in a way because it denies any hook perks you have. I mean, I'm fine with them being removed, but not because they're oppressive.
-
Seriously though, these people whine and moan but they continue queueing up anyway. Play something else if you're not enjoying DBD. Maybe try Civilization!
-
Sounds good to me. It won't stop tunneling/camping though. Like, I'm pretty sure the guy playing camping Leatherface is not concerned about points. They're just there to farm salt.
-
Why spend 2+ minutes doing a gen for 1,250 BP when I could rush to the unhook for 1,500? Gens barely compensate you for how boring it is. It's no wonder Survivors are just running into the Killer. It's more fun and they get more points doing it.
(P.S. I actually do gens, but this is how Survivors think, and I can't even blame them.)
-
This is intended. They wanted to make Killer more popular and they did it. In their minds, this patch is a huge success, queue times be damned.
-
It’s decent, but it’s not enough to deal with tunneling in solo queue.
-
I doubt many people will actually quit, but we will see a huge shift in popularity to the Killer role. Camping is already a problem and the patch only makes it easier to do so.
-
They might as well partner with Discord at this point. Solo queue is dead. :( I could switch to Killer, but I think I’ll just play a different game ‘til they sort this out in 6 months.
-
Reason #3,286 why solo queue sucks. Unhook rushers are the worst.
-
Sprint Burst, Kindred, Off the Record. 4th perk is a flex slot.
-
Justified or not, these changes leave a bad taste in my mouth because they mainly nerf us solo queue players. Good SWFs don’t use Spine Chill or Self Care. Even Iron Will was overshadowed by DS/UB/DH/BT/Adrenaline/Soul Guard.
-
Because SWF. Nurse is the answer to a sweaty 4-man squad on Discord. As a solo player, I would be happy to see both Nurse and SWF removed lol. But that won't happen of course.
-
You could argue it's even worse for new players. At least currently you can rush BBQ/WGLF to speed things up tremendously. I mean the Leatherface DLC is basically pay $4 to cut the grind in half. Idk about you guys, but I might not have kept playing DBD back in the day if I had to grind normally. The time investment is just insane. And this isn't even a free game! You gotta pay like $150 for all the characters AND dedicate thousands of hours of playtime. It's no surprise DBD struggles with player retention.
-
Thanks for doing the math. They could've just removed perk tiers or made BBQ/WGLF bonus base-kit. Or even reduce the cost of everything in the bloodweb by 1k. Any of those would've been better. These changes feel stingy.
-
Spine Chill is effectively dead. Look how they massacred my boy...
-
Well, they wouldn't gather very much data. Survivor mains would probably just quit for a week.
