Bc steam and pc players have it made. 🤭 I don’t care what you fellow “killer” players have to say. I said what I said for BHVR to see. Bc people going to twitter to voice their concerns isn’t enough apparently. Y’all bully on tho, the player base is good at that. 🫶🏻
So...
Your a survivor main?
And your bashing on Wesker's hitboxes being 5mm larger than before?
And you think Dead Hard was nerfed into the ground, although it requires skill on both ends and grants 4x as much distance than before if executed correctly?
You also think that maps are killer sided?
Have you even played garden of joy/springwood/fractured cowshed?
I don't get you main point here, it looks like your trying to say that your a whinny survivor main and belive that "Killer OP, Need nerf, Survivor hard, unfair", and the game will die if survivors need to have skill to win, but I'm not 100% sure, please clarify.

Y’all so mad. Imagine threatening me with a ban bc you’re mad about the truth I put out. 🤭 and this is what DBD and BHVR supports. 🤍
I don't think your going to get a ban, people are just astonished by what you said and believe your baiting them.
If you look at steam stats, the amount of players isn't really decreasing by any meaningful amount. Sometimes it spikes due to an event like halloween, but it isn't declining over time.
Your "truth" can be easily proven wrong by looking at actual data, so what your daying seems like bait.
-
If any survivors bled out or disconected, it doesn't count for some reason.
It also fails randomly in my experience, when using a mori.
-
This is a bait post, right?

Way to completely miss the point of my post. I stand by my post. If you cannot handle a bad start, then don't q and ruin it for everyone else. Also, I was not aware that shadowborn, agitation, pain res and lethal pursuer was OP and "not fair". Pray tell, what would be "playing fair"?
Why are you running perks???
Sweaty Blight players aren't legally allowed to run perks!
Play perkless trapper and see how EASY it is to 4k against SWF!
Don't respond to "certain survivor mains", the entitlement they have is immesurable, and they won't listen to any type of reasoning except "Killer bad, Survivor Good, Survivor need buff, Killer is easy"
-
Survivors can set up totems an infinite amount of times, and theres 4 survivors.
The killer gets 1 hex totem per perk, once it is cleansed, they have an empty perk slot.
The time that it takes the killer to run over to the boon and kick it is enough for the survivors to get value out of it.
The majority of hex perks are trash, while 1/2 of the boon perks are viable against any killer.
Complain about eruption or Nurse, hex perks are fine, and probably underpowered compared to CoH.
-
I agree that the old killer meta was better.
Although they both revolve around downing survivors, Eruption just feels like a less fun version of Pop. You don't get to see 25% of the gen dissapear, and eruption punishes solos massively more than SWF.
The only thing that is debatably decent about this meta is that D-Tier killers can sometimes win, via camping a 3-gen with 3-4 slowdowns.

Actually it's mainly used so Survivors on Hooks can't see other survivors
It is?
As a 1k hour killer main I've never gotten any use out of it that way.
They just look at the black bubble and remember where the hook is, survivors have brains too.

Kinda interested to know why map offerings are still a thing in the game. I get that sometimes you wanna play a map you haven't played for a while but majority of map offerings that are brought is to give 1 side either killer or survivor a massive advantage. I've now been hit with 5 map offering games in a row all of them being eyrie of crows, midwich or garden of joy.
It seems stupid that map offerings as a whole are still in the game given how unbalanced majority of maps are these days. They are mainly used by players who purely want an easy game by going to either a very survivor sided map or as a killer a very killer sided map.
I propose we remove the current map offerings and replace them with map veto instead.
Instead of being sent to the map you choose you burn an offering to ensure that you do not go to that map. So if you fancy a game as an M1 killer you could burn a game map so you don't go to the Game. or maybe your just fed up of the current rotation of maps (which shouldnt be a thing either but thats a discussion for another day) you could veto one of those maps.
I think there is to much power in a map offering and it does effect killers more than survivors due to the fact there is 4 chances of a map offering being brought by a survivor but only 1 chance for the killer.
What does everyone else think? Should map offerings finally be retired and replaced with something different?
@Seraphor is right, but BHVR is not going to fix each individual map, it'll take too long.
I believe map offerings should be changed to either prevent a map from occuring, or slightly increase the chance of it occurring. Removing them would make many survivor mains very angry, which BHVR will not do.

Okay, another question, if you don't mind. With the Circle of Healing and Exponential boons, when a survivor blesses a totem to boon, does it simply create a totem that is stacked, or do two totems need to be set up that overlap, one COH and one Exponential? I hope that makes sense.
Both boon perks are applied to the same totem. If you bless 2 totems, you'll waste you time, unless you are tring to move it or want BP.
You can stack all 4 boon perks on one totem as well if you want, but dark theory is pretty useless.

Ah that’s a very good point! How about Coup just giving a much smaller lunge increase but it’s permanent and slowly gets larger per gen completed. Ie not large enough to make spamming efficient? That’s a fair point for Predator, any ideas to make it better?
I like that change for Coup, although it still wouldn't be better than slowdowns, at least it would be viable.
As for bloodhound, maybe making it reveal the survivors aura while you are in chase for 1 second once every 5 seconds could work.
-
I like the majority of these changes, and I belive that they would make some bad perks used more often. After reading all of them, I wonder if Coup de grace could be stacked with unrelenting to allow the killer to lunge around the map quickly.
Some of the perks like predator would still never be used, and need some further buffs though.
-
People only wear pyjamas at Christmas, thus they are never allowed to purchase them at any other time.
-
It doesn't 90% of the time.
It'll only match prevent you from getting matched with extremely new players, it only sometimes matches you with players around your MMR.
-
Your changes are interesting, but many of them have large flaws.
Making having an iri addon or item give permanent expose would just make them useless, if you want to kill BNP you could just say to remove it. Maybe massively reducing its progression, or as some have suggested, making it so the gen cannot regress beyond a certain point could work.
The "massacre" would just make already meta killers (nurse/blight) extremely overpowered. Slugging would become a meta tactic, and hooking 0 survivors all trial would be extremely viable. This would also make scourge hooks useless, as everyone would run builds like knock out, deerstalker, nurses, chase perk. It would also make unbreakable have a massive pick rate. Maybe something like if all 4 are downed, they all gain 1 hook state, and are instantly healed to the injured state could work.
The "punishment" mechanic would not stop 2 survivors from hiding in corners, they would just touch totems or something. It would punish survivors who are playing normally more often than not.
With the massively increased amount of skillchecks, gens would go even faster, as putting multiple on a gen would allow them to get loads of great skillchecks. They would also be able to bring chase builds as well as having fast gens.
Just my ideas on how this would effect the game, tell me if I misread or misinterpreted anything.
-
Good job!
Now just wait for another few months and they'll add more painful achievements!
-
I have multiple:
As wraith, closed the hatch on a T bagging Feng, she proceeded to DC before I could hook her.
As bubba, was able to down all 4 survs in the gideon meat plant bathroom within 20 seconds of the game starting.
As survivor, having the hatch spawn under me without an offering. The nurse then called me a cheater in EGC and said "I hope you get banned".
Finishing all of the tomes, and getting both iri 1 surv and killer without losing sanity.
-
Cheaters have the ability to guarantee a self unhook, but not to force hatch to spawn in a specific location (I dont believe) although they can teleport to the hatch if it doesn't spawn in front of them.
There are a lot of things the hacks can do, but I dont believe forcing a hatch spawn is one of them.
Edit: They can't unhook themself if they're on second hook, that is a much more obvious cheat as they'd have to move their hooked body to hatch...
-
I... I can't even read the fourms without laughing anymore.
Whats next? Does plague need nerfs too?
Spirit has 2 good addons. The others are small stat boosters or just utter trash!
Blight's addons are slightly overpowered if the player is skilled, but they don't need heavy nerfs!
I don't understand how some people feel this entitled...
-
Tell your friend to play both sides before complaining about one.
Hitting over a window is one of the most fair things in this game, as killers like Bubba can prevent an unhook via facecamping, and survivors can literally force the killer to hit them to help their friends.
-

No, all it really does is prevent her from ever getting a hit, as she is slower than Survivors, and needs to hit fatigue BEFORE she can hit.
During that fatigue; Survivors, who are faster than she is, run away.
So tell me; if Survivors can run away BEFORE she can swing, and she is SLOWER than Survivors, so she has to teleport to catch up; HOW DOES SHE HIT ANYONE? How?
- She can't teleport in front of them; They turn around & run during Fatigue.
- She can't mindgame; She's slower than Survivors. And she has to hit Fatigue before she can attack if she teleports.
- She can't cut them off; She is SLOWER THAN THEY ARE, and with your idea, she has to hit Fatigue before attacking. During Fatigue; Survivors RUN AWAY.
So, with your idea, how does she hit anyone? Ever?
I think he wants nurse set to 4.6 m/s with the other changes.
"and she now has normal killer movement speed..."
I honestly don't see how OPs changes would really help, she would still be very powerful against new survivors(as they don't know to double back, break LOS, etc), and she would probably not work against SWF anymore. A change like reducing teleport range and slightly increasing blink charge time could help her become more balanced and still able to counter SWF.
-
So, um, should hindered not affect movement speed?
90% of blindnesses use is preventing the survivor from seeing the killers aura.
If you make it so blindness doesn't affect reading the killers aura, it will be completely useless against SWF(as they can tell each other where the hook is), which is what you want I guess.
Blindness is already a crappy status effect, it doesn't need to get worse!

Or, which would be a more realistic take - the issue lies on OPs end. This is the case most of the time.
True.
I usually blame the opponent when something goes wrong. Especially if they are commonly annoying.
-
WTH!
You forgot garden of pain!
Its even worse than all of those maps you listed!
-
They will complain, no matter what.
If you do something that they don't like, they will complain.
If the word "tunneling" is changed to explicitly exclude taking a BT hit, they will make a new word, that is commonly accepeted among survivor mains.
SWF will always complain if they struggle there is no preventing it.
-
Its sometimes(edit) a DDOS attack, the occasional survivior(edit) will DDOS you if they get mad, and feel you winning the chase is "unfair".
-
Head on
I just hate getting stunned as the killer with no control over it and will proceed to facecamp anyone who uses it to start a chase instead of just staying in the locker undetected.
IDK why I hate it so much.

Yes, the only games that aren't absolutely awful are CoB/Eruption games which I'm trying to steer away from since I find it boring from both sides. I've been mainly using a hex focused build with Plaything, Pentimento and Face the Darkness (+ Corrupt) which I think is decent, but pretty inconsistent. Nothing seems to beat a mix of CoB/Eruption/Deadlock/Pain Resonance when it comes to slowdown.
I do enjoy Hens' videos but for some reason I've avoided that one, I'll give it a watch.
I don't actually use eruption and win 75%÷ of my games, although it is still COB, overcharge, pain res, and nowhere to hide.

Am I wrong is assuming he plays like a bottom 3 killer? I find little to no use of his power in most situations. I've been told my multiple survivors during end game chat that he isn't "as bad as I make it out to be", and that I just need to practice more. I've played a tonne of games with him the past few days and I have no idea what to do to consistently get more than like, 3-5 hooks per game.
Have you ever tried running 4 slowdowns? Or 3 with Nowhere to Hide?
Running those and camping a three gen works extremely well, although it is pretty boring.
Hens333 has a video on how to hold the game hostage with it, you can watch that to understand yhe basics. Just, dont hold the game hostage...
-
In my observations, killers like to tunnel jakes, especially ones with pretty outfits.
I belive putting Head On is esential, to encourage tunneling. Flashbang is also required to make the killer even more annoyred.
So slap OTR on there as well!
Then the killer will feel physical pain if he must tunnel the jake! :)
The only issue is if he facecamps you...
-
Yep, still does.
Probably always will.

Dark Theory is a weird one. Firstly you can't really change the radius on a Boon perk because they can share totems, having different radii on the same totem would get confusing.
But mostly, 4% speed boost puts you at the same speed as the killer, and with the killers larger hitbox making loops wider than they are for survivors, that would mean the killer literally can't catch up with you. They would have no choice but to find and snuff the boon. That would make Dark Theory basically on the same level as an Exhaustion perk, without the Exhaustion.
Every other speed boost on that level is either an Exhaustion perk, or a single use time-limited boost such as Hope or BT. As long as Boons are infinitely re-ignitable (which is their biggest problem) this can't happen.
Now if as I've suggested countless times, Boons should be one use per totem, and being snuffed should destroy the totem, it could open up the avenue to buffs like this.
That would only make survivors 4.16 m/s, but with killers large collison I see what your talking about, maybe increasing the time it lingers after you leave the radius to 15 seconds could work.
Or maybe just making it so survivors can't slide their faces into walls could work as well.

So many people don't seem to understand that a guard camping a hook isn't strong. Does no one read killer-power descriptions?
If it looks like its good at camping, everyone's gonna scream it needs nerfs.
The fact that 2 things can be infront of a hook makes most survivors think its OP at camping

Don't forget you aren't allowed to AFK, either! NOT playing the game ALSO ruins games for Survivors!
You're also not allowed to run aura reading perks! They are EXTREMELY OP!
-
Self Care, it is completely useless since COH exsists, except for some meme builds. I believe the amount of skillchecks should be doubled, as well as progession from them, this will allow survivors who hit great skillchecks to get some usr out it.
No mither, I dont even need to explain it.
Boon: Dark Theory, the 2% haste is laughable in most situations. I believe it should be buffed to 4%, and have a larger radius.
Dark Devotion, the duration is so short, it should be buffed to a minute at least.
-
It is a bug, and in my experience, it takes more time for you to wiggle out with the new system (while it is bugged) than it does with the old system.
After you do 10 matches for the BP with it, I reccomend switching back to the old one until they fix it, or 6.5.0 is released.

If you think Killers do not treat their victims horribly before finishing them off, I have some movie recommendations for you.
Also yes, you should behave like a serial killer. It is how you win. This game is not tennis and does not follow its rules for "sportsmanship".
The survivor community is just expecting to win.
If you tunnel as a killer? Prepare to be screamed at nonstop in endgame chat.
If you bring too many slowdowns? Nonstop complaints.
If you camp as a killer? Well, you know what happens.
If you BM as a killer? Prepare to be called things like "toxic tryhard" and "uninstall the game kid".
If as survivor, they bring 3 commodius BNP, with genrush builds, and one looping build, and finish all gens within 4 minutes and nonstop BM the killer at the exit gate, the killer is not allowed to complain, otherwise he is a terrible human.
Its just how games where 4 players play against 1 work, the survivors have a much larger voice.
-
NOOO!!!
You will make the fragile survivors salty!!!
They deserved their escape by exsisting!
But seriously, it is nice to let them go, but they shouldn't be expecting to be let out just because the others quit, would you expect survivors to give you free hooks if your lagging?
Personally, i let them out, but you shouldn't if you don't want to.

Giving myself an honest average kill rate across all killers, I would say I probably sit around 75 - 85%. With blight, probably 90-95% kill rate given I hit my 100th win in a row tonight.
I wouldn’t say I am a super try hard sweat, atleast outside of my current winstreak. I enjoy to win, and will play to win most games, but I don’t stack regression. I hate kicking gens.
You play blight, he's balanced to be able to chase survivors, as he counters shift-w pretty well and has very solid anti loop(I believe).
Some killers, must camp gens to win, as it takes them a long time to catch survivors in loops.
Take clown for example, it usually takes a clown at least 45 seconds to down the average survivor (In my observations), this is up to 1/2 of 3 generators, which the clown is only able to stop one (or two if lucky) from finishing after he has hooked the first survivor. While blight can catch a survivor in less than 20 seconds, giving him enough time to push 2 or 3 of the survivors off of their gens, and get another down.
-

Well, yeah.
If you're playing against a good team, you'll probably lose 2-3 gens for your first chase. That's just how it is.
The remaining gens generally go slower, especially if you figure out who the gen jockey is and remove them.
And then you get called a tunneler in EGC, along with other things such as "you are a sweaty tryhard" or "#### yourself".
There's no way to win against these players and actually feel good about it :(

Not even sure how to start with that response.
You apparently read both Ayodams poor response and my response to it, and your counter argument to me is that Tinkerer doesn't do a good job at hiding auras on a thread about aura reading?
Also the argument about survivors that "help you" by shutting down much of your power with little effort required (which is what this thread is about btw) can also be turned around, a Killer that counters aura reading with the help of perks "helps" survivors by not using gen based perks, see the problem? Sure Distortion is a thing but i think that too is a band aid, just a bit above average band aid BHVR usually slaps on a wound. And there is no Killer equivalent nearly as good as Distortion and it would not be a good thing to exist cause the Killers most affected by it usually already need other perks to even function.
I think you play too much survivor.
Try playing killer with aura reading perks.
I also meant Just Whimsical, ayodam's is relavent but not what I was talking about
-
Probably never. It came out with The Pig a long time ago, and the amount of pallets never got nerfed, unlike pig.
Compared to maps like coldwind farm where there is a shack, LT walls, Cow loop, a large main building, and more loops I dont remember, the game is "balanced".
-
Aura reading perks are laughable compared to the useable alternatives.
Would you rather have the killer chasing someone 90% of the game due to their perks, or would you rather have the killer to be able to regress a generator the same speed you work on it and be able to incapacitate you for 25 seconds after a down, if you are on a contested generator due to their perks.
Sure aura reading perks are decent, and I believe nowhere to hide is almost meta combined with 3 slowdowns, but they are no where near as powerful as slowdowns.
Or, as ayodam mentioned, you can use distortion if your stuck on hiding near the generator and refuse to shift-w away.
Also tinkerer isn't trash, it doubles as an info perk and a undetectable perk, although the undetectable only last for a short duration.
Also if a survivor is running aura reading perks, you should thank them, thats 1 less player with DH or a genrush build. Unless they have a key with blood amber, then just don't chase them.
-
In some scenarios, yes
After killing a survivor, or doing it infront of a hook, is usually considered toxic, while just nodding after finding someone(IDK why you'd do this) isn't usually considered toxic
In the clip, some would consider it toxic, while some wouldn't.
If in a different scenario, if you tunneled the player out, and they were part of a SWF, literally everything you did they will call toxic, including breathing, walking, and exsisting.
I've had multiple players tell me that I am a waste of life, or to ### myself, and many other things, just because I nodded after downing them when they were spam clicking...
-
Blight by a mile, even though I main and love Wesker, blight has 4 very strong addons, while wesker has 1, maybe 2, is much better at map traversal, can end loops much quicker, and counters Shift-W even harder than Wesker.
-
Killers don't have an item slot, thus they don't have an equivelent to survivors. Survivors don't keep their addons even if they escape, so killers shouldn't keep theirs even if they win. Also a 4K is extremely luck based, you have to find hatch before the survivor. If killers got a 2.5 BP bonus regardless of deviousness points for a 4k, that would be a welcome change though.
I guess the equivalent to the item slot is their power, they get to keep that...
