Head On isn't OP, just annoying.

It depends on the map. On Dead Dawg its really op and nightmare for killer, especially if this perk run more than 1 survivor.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

It's not broken. It's just stupid. The stun hitbox is so big and lingers so long, survivors can pretty much stay in the locker forever, and then react when the killer's actually gonna commit to the grab (which btw gets rolled back constantly anyway). And on certain maps like Dead Dawg, you're pretty much forced to run by lockers to chase people, which makes it abusable by SWF.

Yeah on Dead Dawg head on is nightmare for killers. And of course every head on user run it with quick and quiet and flashbang

  • they need to add this feature, especially after introducing perk that messing with hook stages

    Absolutely not.

They can become extremely leathal with the right rng and in the right hands. She needs improved stealth and ambush. RBTs are in a perfectly fine spot right now.

They need a more buffs. For example RBT timer should not stop in chase and timer should be reduced to 1 min 30 second

  • @SoGo said:

    • In an order of how urgent they are:
    1. Freddy: His power is weak and boring, his add-ons are terrible, all uniqueness he had was removed, which was a giant mistake.
    2. Myers: He desparately needs an add-on pass, as well as multiple touch-ups to his base-kit.
    3. Sadako: She needs help, mostly in undoing some nerfs she's gotten over the years.
    4. Ghostface: Fixing his reveal to not be terrible should be a no.1 priority.
    5. The Pig: She is relatively fine rn, but needs some more help with her ambush and stealth.

Pig needs buff the most especially for her RBT, cause right now they weak garbage.

My God, when I think I've seen everything in this community, I end up being more and more surprised. Let the survivor choose which killer he doesn't want to play against? And are you seriously going to put Wraith on the list? One of the weakest killers in the game, I can only believe this post is a bait.

You never played against Wraith if you think hes weak

  • @Crowman said:

Let killers pick 3 perks they never want to play against.

No DS, Lithe or Head On? Sound like a great idea to me.

  • @GeneralV said:

As much as I would love to never see Wesker again, I don't think this would be healthy for the game.

People who main generally disliked characters, like Skull Merchant, would have insane queue times.

So survivors massive DC or giving up against specific killer is better? And giving up is massive problem with Wraith, Huntress and Oni

  • @Nick said:

And I don't mean this post as a "oooh evil survivor players" post. I mean just healthy for the game. Yes, it forces an end to a stalemate situation. But shouldn't that mechanic only be active the moment such a scenario can occur?

I think the same cause you can bypass limit even if you not holding 3 gen (eruption+jolt/pain ress)

  • Agree, this mechanic is the most unfair buff for survivors

  • @vBlossom_ said:

Why would even totems reset to 0%?

It's not quick action like sabotage, if I found Devour totem, I shouldn't have to spend half of the match trying to cleanse it.

If you found Devour you shouldnt cleanse it for free, so get good and stop complaining

The problem with current and previous versions of Thanatophobia is that it's effects are niche on most killers, while Legion and Plague excel it's value, also there are more stronger slowdown perks which make Thanatophobia look redundant. I can agree that 12% slower vaulting speed is a pretty niche effect by itself, but if you look at the Resilience's vaulting speed, it's also nothing special, but it has it's niche that can extend chases for longer. If looking at the current dbd which is fast-paced, the differential of miliseconds has the potential to change the outcome of a trial.

I think Legion is a last killer who needs even undirect nerf

  • @buggybug said:

No thanks me mending 100 times per match is already enough. Legion has what no other killers has and that is fast vaults of windows and pallets, even wesker cant just fast vault unless he power on a pallet and window.

He is actually slower than survivor when vaulting a window, so even in this aspect he is bad. So Legion need serious amount of buff, cause now his power is very simple to counter, if all survivors separated hel never get his 5 hit, so increasing speed should help with that

  • Im agree with almost everything except Thana its actually became more useless than before, 12% vautling penalty is niche effect that doesnt change anything. They need just revert it to 4% for survivor and remove extra 12% when all 4 injured.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3848446#Comment_3848446

30% gen slowdown is insane. Combine that with the fact that there are perks that can light up every totem on the map, and that are hexes that you absolutely HAVE to cleanse, otherwise they're game ending.

They are not very easily removed provided the killer plays around them, a Pentimento totem near a hook or in the middle of a 3 gen is extremely hard to deal with even for very well coordinated teams. You could argue that this is RNG dependent, and to a degree it is, but the killer can mitigate it by only lighting the Totem when they're in a favourable situation to do so, for example hooking near a rekindle spot and only lighting it afterwards.

Best case scenario, it's a very good amount of guaranteed slowdown as a fallback on some already great perks. Worst case scenario, it drags the game to a complete standstill until it's over. Either way, it's extremely obnoxious.

This isn't even mentioning the fact that keeping track of cleansed totem locations as a solo player is inconsistent at best. It gets leagues worse in this case.

30% gen slowdown penalty is good punishment for ignoring totems and just seat on gens. It gives survivors side objective, counter annoying genrush strategy and actually punish survivors for ignoring this totem with huge penalty. Hexes should be a threat that survivors cannot ignore and no untill gens stop pop every 5 sec and game over in 5 minutes this perk does not need changes.

  • @GeneralV said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3848284#Comment_3848284

    Indeed.

However, the moment survivors stop doing the intended counterplay Freddy surpasses Skull Merchant. And it isn't rare to play against people who rarely use the Alarm Clocks, simply because the Dream World is nowhere near as dangerous as it used to be.

Yeah, when i play Freddy i have no idea why survivors waking up it does nothing but make you oblivious (that is countered by Freddy lullaby, i know it undirectional but it became more louder and noisy when he is close to you so good survivors can still track you well)

  • @GeneralV said:

    Probably Skull Merchant.

Houndmaster is not bad when her power actually works (it usually doesn't) and Freddy is winnable:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BUS1IRAPF5E5/image.png

Not fun and still missing his unique identity, but winnable.

When survivors are awake he is completly powerless. When houndmaster and Merchant can use it all the time, plus unlike Freddy they have good addons.

  • I think different invocation should have different type of penalty so it would be fair to activate 4 them in 60 sec (for example 1-permanent broken 2-permanent oblivious 3-permanent blind 4-your aura permanent revealed to the killer.

  • @Rudjohns said:

I would be okay with this change, however then boons need a buff

    Affects the whole map
The sound being emanated is way quieter
Circle of Healing back to 100% with self care
Shadow Step removes grunts of pain and pools of blood
    Exponential gives endurance upon recovering
    Dark Theory is 5%

Dark theory should never be buffed it would be actually old MFT if it was map wide. The perk need a whole rework cause even now it can stack with blood pact, hope and power of two (survivors became faster than killer)

  • @SoGo said:

    Neither should be garbage.

Totem spawns should be actually hard to find.

Huntress Lullaby, Two Can Play, Wreched Fate, and Ruin should get buffs. But other than these, Hexes are in a good spot (when totem spawns aren't bad which they almost always are).

But on the other end, Boons are loud af, Dark Theory and Illumination are jokes, Shadow Step is mid and Exponential is situational. Only CoH is an actually decent perk, and even then it's outclassed by We'll Make It.

There is only 4 hex perk that worth to be bring in trial right now: Pentimento/Plaything/Noed/Devour Hope other hex perks is pure garbage. They buff Blood favour and Crowd Control but even after that they not worth to be bring and other hexes is just a joke

  • @SoGo said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3848175#Comment_3848175

Currently, boons are not in the best state. So making them even worse via being a one time use is unnessesary.

If they would get some improvements, then this would be worth a consideration, but as it is right now? Nope.

Well 90% of hexes are also weak garbage, but they only 1 time use, so why boons should be different?

  • @Grigerbest said:

Shattered Hope, if boons bother you so much.

So survivors can destroy hexes by basekit but boons need a specific perk? No it should be base kit for killers

    1. I have 4 perk slots, not 16.
    2. "and completely disabling its build" could you please show me one perk that completely disables this whole build?
    3. "just a little slower" - 46 seconds instead of 14. Imagine when survivors could repair gens "just a little faster".

if its not Pentimento or Devour Hope hex, its not worth to be cleansed. So its only your fault to try cleanse Thrill of the Hunt, plus its good slowdown to not let survivor stack on the gens and let them pop for 5 sec.

  • 30 second is good idea for cooldown

  • How about no? Perk is fine, only solo potato can complain about it

  • @Toystory3Monkey said:

The only tweak Singularity could use is Soma Family Photo being nuked from existence.

They literally need to make it into a meme addon or smth like that, bc applying deep wound on wifi isnt balanced.

It would be unfair shadow buff to Off the record or Dead Hard. And this 2 perks have no rights to became even stronger than they already are.

  • In what universe Oni is fine to go against? He one of the most broken and unfair killer specially in solo games. More annoying than him could be only Huntress and Wraith. Huntress hatchet hitbox needs to be nerfed significantly.

  • @Toystory3Monkey said:

then i take my words back, his suggestion is awful for the reasons stated above in original comment & the one that followed it.

Hes base kit speed in frenzy can be okay, if he can use perks such as machine learning, furtive chase and etc., but for some reason killer instinct doesnt work on survivors who is oblivious that is stupid. If devs doesnt want to buff base kit speed they at least should make them get value from haste perks (and it is possible from game code moment, cause susie mixtape exist and for some reason not at least half base kit)

  • @Toystory3Monkey said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3847171#Comment_3847171

yeah and none of them involve giving him 20% speed increase in frenzy.

they're mostly QoL changes with minor buffs and sidegrade changes. Nothing that really simply boosts Legion's power by a huge margin. If anything, that's what I was talking about in the post before - the biggest changes don't really make Legion stronger, but they enable more skillful plays like pausing the power with break actions which is what also enables Legion to scale better in higher skill lobbies without causing issues on the level where he was designed for.

He sad in his legion update and in his videos with change suggestions that biggest Legion weakness is slow feral frenzy. And he suggest buff it 6m or make killer instinct triggered on oblivious survivors (for furtive chase, machine learning value). Cause not only he is slow, hes also cant rely on perks that give haste.

  • @Toystory3Monkey said:

Tatariu is one of those people who main newbie characters specifically designed to be super basic to pick up and play and who by definition cannot be too powerful because they'd be a bane of so called low mmr lobbies and yet they don't get that and keep asking for them to be made viable vs experience players.

I understand it's not cool when the character you like doesnt scale well in lobbies you play, but we really dont need legion starting at 6.0 speed in frenzy even if that would still not make them even A tier. This character is already too annoying and uninteractive, no need to make that even worse.

I just make example of killers who is much faster than legion and they have one more thing common, all of them stronger than legion. I mean its just a joke when Hillbilly is 10m, can instadown and Legion is 5.2 and only can cause deep wound

Thrill of the Hunt was most definitely not one of "the worst hexes".

Topic: Yeah, I haven't tried it out myself yet since I've been mostly on just Houndmaster today, but this most definitely is going to be an issue and needs to be reverted. Even without looking at the combo potential with other totems or killers, 47 seconds just to cleanse one totem is madness.

It was weak garbage, 10% for token was not enough and hex still being destroyed in first 15 seconds of the match, cause they spawn is unfunny joke. Beside its only free perk to not let hex being instantly destroyed. You want dominance - pay real money for Dracula, you want undying - pay real money for Blight, you need pentimento (to not let your broken hex waste a perk slot) - pay real money for Artist. And thrill of the hunt always has counter DO NOT CLEANSE A TOTEM, except Devour Hope not any hex worth to be cleansed. I see this as complain that survivors cannot instantly destroy totem and get away with it.

Spirit, Pinhead, Sadako, Hag are technically M1 and way better than Wraith (Wraith is easier tho)

Combination of words M1 and biggest tunneler/camper doesn't seem right. Biggest definetly can't mean best, because he is not even close to any of those. Also not even biggest for either of those.

    Pinhead is more m2 killer

Hag is no way stronger than Wraith. She is one of the 3 killers (with Ghostface and Trapper) when survivors can denied your power for the entire game by one survivor follow you and destroy your power and your left as 4.4 m1 killer with no mobility or anti loop power.

Sadako is literally worse version of Wraith cause everything she is done he did better. - He has huge speed in stealth mod, she is not. - She having directional lullaby, he is not - She cant bodyblock in stealth, he is - Wraith has option to be completly sneaky with right addons (silent bell) when sadako always stack with wooshing sound when manifested - He has insane amout of good, strong and even broken addons when mostly sadako addons are garbage

Spirit is a good example but she has many downside that Wraith doesnt have, her ability on cooldown, she is 4.4, she cant see survivors in her power. So yeah she is only m1 killer who is stronger than Wraith, but it compensate with many downsides that Wraith doesnt have.

  • @Dreamnomad said:

This post is obviously one of two things. A troll post or a noob post. Wraith is notoriously not overpowered. Only someone inexperienced in the game would think so. If you think Wraith is overpowered then my recommendation is to play 100 games as Wraith. At first you'll probably go up against newbs and stomp them easily confirming your bias that Wraith is overpowered. But as you improve your MMR and start going up against experienced survivors, you'll start to see his short comings and how to exploit him.

I play as Wraith and i play against Wraith. By playing him i usually get 4k in chill way cause mostly time its easy, seriously not on any other killer i get such good result with such little effort as him and i play without addons with mostly not meta perks. But playing against him is nightmare. We being killed at 4 gens left, 2 people usually "go next" on 1st hook and chase last less then 15 second. So he is indeed broken and needs changes

    • For Your Complaints
    1. So that he can have some map pressure.
    2. So that he can have a anti-loop tool.
    3. Because BHVR wanted to remove item interactions with killer power. I believe Nemesis zombies are the only one still in the game.
    4. Add-ons are gold standard. They increase his power for the most part while having very few trash choices.
    5. So he can stop survivors who path badly or are out of position; giving him some more anti-loop.
    • For Your Suggestions
    1. No. He would lose all map pressure.
    2. No. He would lose all anti-loop.
    3. No. BHVR don't want item interactions w/killer powers.
    4. No. His add-ons are the gold standard others killers should follow.
    5. No. He shouldn't be punished for using his power correctly.

Also, Wraith is a very middle of the pack killer. There is nothing OP about him at all but you are entitled to your opinion.

I understand that you killer main but say that Wraith addons are fine is just ridiculous. They extramly annoying and undeserved powerful, he is desperatly need addon pass (please make them like Freddy/Pyramid Head addons). Plus hes not deserved map pressuere and anti-loop cause how annoying he is, so speed boost should gone for good.

  • He is strongest M1 killer and real nightmare for solo survivors also biggest tunneler and camper

  • Im agree. Also servers for Middle Asia region would be good (Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and etc.) I live in Russia and maybe in european regions ping aroun 70-80, but i live in Siberia where ping is around 100-130

  • Legion and Plague would make good anti heal combo. Plus in this mod frenzy would feel much better

Except they made gens fly even faster now thanks to their approach to gen speed balance with hooks and gen pops.

On top of that they reduced the gen vision sight range for killers, gave survivors much better tools to last longer and gave killers 30 sec cooldown on their ''perks''.

Any killer that has no mobility like Trapper and Deathslinger are deadweight in this mode. Only killers with mobility can try do something but even then once they get bunch of hooks the gens start flying like crazy because everyone stacks for fast gen repair and almost all gens can be repaired by 3 people plus toolboxes that can be discovered in chests. This is honestly everything wrong in previous 2v8 multiplied by 10.

The cherry on the cake is the same 10 min+ wait time for killers. Devs didn't understand what makes this mode so attractive in the first place.

Wait they still that long? Guess i happy to find a match in 5 min.

  • genrush was the only problem of original version of this mod and too bad they didnt fix this

  • The problem is in first version of mod gens pop like flyes. So devs trying to listen both sides. Nerf genrush and let survivors save each other.

  • @tjt85 said:

I have a feeling I'll prefer the first version of the mode, but I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I'm still happy about it returning but I do have some misgivings:

    • I'm not too thrilled to see Blight and Spirit added to 2 Vs 8, especially in a buffed form. Two very strong Killers that I struggle to play against.
    • I might be on my own with this one, but I don't think Billy needs his instadown saw back. I felt like I did pretty well with him last time in the few games that I was able to queue for.
    • Why no unlockable self-care for all Survivor classes this time? I don't understand the rational behind this change at all.
    • Now that the cages no longer move if another Survivor is near, what's to stop Killers downing any Survivors going for saves by the cages, then camping the caged Survivor who now cannot be respawned elsewhere? Maybe this won't happen much in the actual trails, but I think this (plus the ability to flashlight and pallet save) could lead to Killers camping and slugging more often, which is a backwards step in my opinion.
    • I really, really hope the Killer queues are much better this time around. That's the number 1 change I'd like to see for version 2.
    • Can we pip in 2 Vs 8 this time around? I really hope so…

Spirit and Blight needs buffs cause in 2vs8 they cant use addons that make them actually threat. At base kit both of them are mediocre or sometimes even weak

  • Escapist was too much overpowered in first version. But with scout i agree it was not needed.

he wasn't weak last time he was actually pretty strong just more team oriented i guest it was too much for ppl to handle the team part of billy ?

Nope he was weak garbage. And return his instadown option was the most common request from Billy players.

  • @BlackRose89 said:

Glad the mode looking better. I wish everyone the best with it. I'm taking a break bc I'm not sitting in 15min killer queues again like last time. I'm not a fan of 2v8 bc I have no one to play with and normal 1v4 queue times are most likely going to be terrible as well...

I think lobby time wont be so long this time cause killer selection, cause you have as choise play the original 5 that you already play enough in first mode version or play strong but frustratingly boring Blight, Spirit and Deathslinger (not only they boring but there is a chanse you dont have this killer, cause this 3 are also the most rare and unpopular so there is great change mosty dont even bought them) So game for killers became boring very quickly

  • Return passive condemn when holding a tape

Increase her lullaby range but make it non directional

  • @YamamuraVideoRentals said:

Basically, right now Franklin's is like, "Hit survivor, they completely lose their item."

It's very rare to actually have time to retrieve your item. If you go down that quickly after the first hit, it's bad for your team. And if you have a decent chase, by time you go down and get unhooked, your item is completely dead.

The fact that Weave Attunement is getting a nerf is great, but Franklin's has always felt like a very annoying, cancerous perk. It is not fair when it completely drains all the charges of your item. It's one of those situations where, again, only a highly-coordinate SWF can have a teammate swoop in and instantly pick up the dropped item. Otherwise solo queue suffers as usual.

So instead of charges draining over time, I think it should be changed to this:

    • Causes dropped items to instantly lose 4/6/8 charges, or 2/3/4 seconds of use.
    • You still see the aura of the items within 32 meters
    • The aura still has color, so you know about how many charges the item has left.
    • After a survivor drops their item in this way, or retrieves it, reveal their aura for 4/5/6 seconds. (NEW)

Heh, thought I'd add a little buff too. 😊 See, it's not the item dropping and the plays killers could make by guarding those items that I didn't like, so much as the fact that typically this perk drained 70% ~ 100% of the item charges with a single M1.

No perk fine the way it is. Its only way to counter busted flashlight and medkits. And perk has counter do not bring 4 items in lobby specially medkits and more than 1 flashlight. Survivors items already really annoying to deal with and 8 charges is nothing so no perk is fine

Could've just removed their effects and made something else, but as always.. number tweaks it is because it requires barely any work.

He cannot stalk 2 survivors at once, this bug called instatier3 was fixed long ago
