    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/462425/some-changes-for-killers-and-perks-i-want-to-see-in-2026

Waiter waiter, more meta slop for killers please.

Why are we randomly nerfing wraith's iri's?.

His iri's arent even that good to justify nerfing them compared to most killer iri's.

Why is nemesis getting another buff when he already had a massive buff before?.

The ghostface change would just allow him to make very uninteresting plays like camping hooks or slugged while in power.

Thana would be another meta perk everyone will spam, fun.

Head on will be useless, why use it over literally anything else that has no hard conditions like this?.

Unless you plan to rebuff hope to 10%, this change would be pointless as the endgame nerfs just made survivors not want to bother wasting an entire perk slot just to die or for the 10% of the end of the match.

Thana changes would make perk finally usable and fair. Head On in its current state deserve to be gutted, cause no one except bully squads use this perk. And insta exhausted removal is strong effect for perk. Nemesis is still weak after all his buffs. Wraith iri one of the strongest addons in the game and double iri Wraith is nightmare to play against. Hope i answer all of your questions

  • @Defnotmeghead said:

Nah, Hag should remain 4.4, she can be insanely strong. Instead, give her the ability with cooldown to teleport to a generator. She needs cross-map mobility to lead survivors into her web, she doesnt need an increase in speed mid-chase.
Blight doesnt really need any addon buffs, a lot of his addons are good, they are just not better than his best.
Trapper shouldnt start with that many traps, unless there is a cooldown on trap resets. Mainly due to basement plays otherwise being free kills.
Slugged survivors should definitely be able to reveal ghostface, slugging should not get any buffs, ever.
Nemesis doesnt need an extra zombie, but his zombies should respawn elsewhere if they haven't targetted a survivor for 50 seconds.

Head-on would become useless, it's already a perk that's hard to trigger a lot consecutively (it requires 3 seconds inside a locker before it activates)
Hope would become too strong. You've seen what 3% Made For This could do, and that was only while survivors were injured.

Head On maybe not strong but incredibly annoying perk so it should transform to something different

  • @indieeden7 said:

Killers with such a low skill floor really shouldn't be made all that powerful though

Well we have killers with much lower skill floor who is stronger than Legion. Countless killers who is faster than Legion beside thats a core of Legion power. And of course Legion is the only killer who became powerless after gain undetectable (imagine if Billy cannot use chainsaw or Blight cannot use rush when gain undetectable)

  • Nah it is already overpowered at 4 second. It needs return to 3 or even 2 seconds. And decrease time on half when its activated

  • @Emeal said:

No thanks, I like the Slaughtering Strike.

Well most of Myers players dont and you see it in comments that almost everyone hate new Myers. Slaughering strike is useless and to hard to hit. I mean like 99% feedback say that current Myers is garbage its only matter of time when they revert all his changes

  • Remove slaughtering strike, bring old exposed status, remove animation for Evil incarnate activation

This is absolutely feedback I can bring back to the team - both regarding Franklin's and the Jailer.

With regards with the standard spawns, though, I'd be interested to see if the spawn times still feels too quick when the extended times for longer paths is factored in during testing. While it is 4 seconds on the short end for the Jailer and Assassin, this can be extended up to 8 seconds by drawing a longer path.

Thanks for answering. I think if Carnifex is 8 sex and Assasin is 4 i think it would be fair make Jailer 6 sec as middle ground. But that just my opinion of course

  • @ThatRyanB said:

Would love to know specifics here. Which aspect of the Franklin's change isn't playing well for you?

Franklins only being useful in terms of dealing with survivors items (toolbox, medkits, flashlights - specially them). But now the only thing why people even bring this perk is gone. And about jailer you overnerfed him, he is still very slow and cannot catch survivors and now cant even let them busy cause 4 seconds.

  • In terms of perks. Franklin changes are awful, the rest is okay. In terms of killer update Jailor is now useless

  • He is always come back ;) Plus Matthew Lillard skin and voice lines

  • @Shroompy said:

Other than the Dredge and Singularity skin I agree, these skins just aint it.

SIngularity skin is barely different from default model and Dredge looks like….mess…seriously if i describe what he looks like, mess of something is best description

  • @Raccoon said:

I haven't looked in detail, but the Singularity skin and Fox banner are great, imo.

Singularity looks barely different from his default model. Its not that bad just lame i guess

  • @Clinton said:

Not to mention with this new progression system to advance the rift. No progress through just playing is flat out BAD

Wait seriously? Isnt that a good thing? Cause it means if you dont want this garbage skins you can just skip rift quests and dont get them

  • To be fair the only thing Legion need right now is remove terror radius requirement to killer instinct. Cause its absurd that Legion cannot see anyone while undetectable, its the same way if Billy could not use chainsaw while undetectable, or Dracula could not transform with the same effect. Plus susie mixtape exist, that means game can detect survivors without terror radius, the only thing is need to make it basekit.

  • Unfortunately streamers already test this and this is garbage

  • Yes, they are really good. I think the only thing they still need is a killer instinct that is not dependent on your terror radius.

  • @buggybug said:

No he needs no buffs, like skull merchant they need a rework. They did well on Freddy they can do it Legion and Skull Mechant hopefully.

Legion doesnt need full rework. The only thing he need to became viable is more speed in frenzy and maybe less fatigue time.

  • @turksmall236 said:

I don't think we should be penalized for going next if our teammates are goofing around not progressing the match or if they don't bother unhooking us, also we shouldn't be penalized if the killer is destroying us at 4 or 5 gens with no chance of winning. A lot of things have to be considered, this needs to be implemented very carefully

I think this is fair. Cause killer cant leave the match without penalty, so survivors also shouldnt, plus i think it would be a good idea if you can try unhook yourself only with specific perks (slippery meat for example).

  • @bjorksnas said:

Even if the legion is dependent on the teammate for a majority of the downs they buy their teammates time unlike any other killer because of the time survivors will spend mending. They do still help with hooks with downs on survivors in weak areas especially with the 3% speed while chasing an injured survivor and the 8th feral slash downing. But making the survivor team spend upwards of 96s mending per frenzy its a gamechanging amount of pressure and slowdown, and then on top of that you can capitalize on it as their teammate? S tier support killer right there.

Thats what im talking about. He should be viable by himself and not be so weak without his teammate.

  • @crogers271 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/438758/legion-is-the-weakest-killer-in-2vs8

People say they are good as support for the teammate, but they dont realise that they actually say "Legion is not a real killer, he is just support of the real killer"

It's a team game for the killers now.

But no other killer so dependant on teammate than Legion. Even Trapper and Slinger have 1vs1 mechanic.

Why do you people cling to the 1v4 opinion everytime, they are to be played like a support in 2v8, if you have a friend on comms its very easy to get huge value from their slowdown/information/and everyone being injured. it's getting tiresome seeing you all be so closed minded.

    @Ember_Hydra said:

2v8 Legion is diffrent, Imagine everyone loses a health state and now you just add someone like Rin or Huntress or wesker. You remove 1 hp from ALL. THink about that. In 1v4 Legion is weak. In 2v8 good support

Thats a big problem in this game. Legion is not a killer in this mode. He is just support of the real killer. Cause he has nothing in his kit to catch survivor, no anti-loop feature, no tool against bodyblocking, 1000 god pallets that survivors can rebuild and of course unfair 8 hit before down nerf.

  • Think about a positive thing. This means no match against Wraith, Huntress or Oni. So be happy its a Blight and not one of this insufferable killers.

  • More Dredge and Artist, less Huntress and Oni. And please delete Wraith and SIngularity from this game.

if having a certain killer in the special game mode is making it more unattractive to play the survivor role when it’s already struggling to attract survivor players, then absolutely it makes sense to limit the roster. I and many others would be much more willing to play survivor if there was no possibility of Legion (and of course no bots). Currently I am not playing this mode and lots of other players have fled already

It's not a killer problem, that survivors don't want to play against specific killers. Because you can't please everyone. And denying Legion players because some whiny children complain about them isn't a smart idea.

  • @codebibi said:

legion is already a pain in the butt with the mending simulator forcing you to mend 80% of the match he doesn't need to be buffed

yes he need get buffed, mostly his speed and feral frenzy duration increased, but pools of blood and scratch marks can be a good start

  • @katoptris said:

Survivors can always wake up while on the ground if a skill checks is missed on them.

Im talking about exit gate. Cause black box block the exit gate only for a sleep survivor. On ptb it still work like this, but now when Freddy down them, survivors just crawl away while Freddy animation is played, so it makes this addon useless.

  • Im more worried they not fix black box issue (addon was useless on ptb)

I disagree the hatch is not a survivor sided thing it’s a 50/50 chance if the killer or survivor gets to the hatch first either the last survivor escapes with the luck of finding the hatch or the killer finding the hatch first and closing it. Hatch has nothing to do with slugging

Hatch spawns always prioritize spawning near the last surviving player, so the chances are actually 90% in the survivor's favor. Plus, denying the unfair hatch mechanic was actually the main reason for the 4K slug.

  • I think deleting the hatch from the game will be the best way to encourage killers to not slug 3d survivor. Because the last survivor gains a free win due to RNG, the main reason why killers slug for 4K so often.

  • I am disappointed that there are still no random items or offerings.

  • I think Slenderman could be great for collaboration, but he is in the public domain, so developers probably can't sell him for real money.

  • @TWS001 said:

Treacherous Crows is widely regarded as a top 3 worst perk in the game and Weaving Spiders certainly doesn't need a nerf.

I used it for a couple of days a while back to do some tests with it. Only time it was useful was using it at the end of a match when a killer was protecting a 3 gen. I remember it worked a couple of times. One was a farm map where a Blight had a 3 gen and there were only 3 of us left. Me and another survivor kept getting one of the gens to around 80%, but he kept chasing us off and going back to the other gen where the 3rd survivor was. I was already 2 hooked so went off to the basement. The invocation must have 99'd the gen and it popped a second or two later. The gate got opened and all 3 got out.

It also massively helped in another very similar scenario, again, being two hooked, except I didn't quite get out being broken but the other two did.

Even with these successes, it certainly isn't OP, is extremely niche and only useful in very specific circumstances. Using it at the start of a match is pretty much a death sentence and overall it simply isn't worth running for the very occasional time it is useful, like once in 50 matches or something! Way better value to be had out of so many other perks.

I know that Treacherous Crows is bad. So i suggest a decent buff for it. Weaving Spiders is a good perk, cause permanent gen time reduce is a huge value. So 60 second is to little time for bnp on all gens. The only bad part is you cant last long in chase against strong killers (whos mostly m2). So i suggest spend more time on activation and as compensation replace broken with exposed (cause m2 doesnt work as instadown).

  • @crogers271 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/435697/invocation-perks-should-have-different-time-to-complete-and-should-have-different-punishments

So let's start with the concept before we get into individual suggestions:

Invocation time should reflect the effect it did to the match.

I don't know what BHVR's impression of invocations is. I think with the general disinterest we might get a larger overhaul to them at some point.

Presuming that doesn't happen, then yes, each invocation being balanced on its own would be my preference.

Treacherous Crows: buff: Reduce the duration of the Invocation process from 60 seconds to 45 seconds. rework: replace permanent broken status with permanent oblivious

It would be in the right direction and would take it out of the realm of worst survivor perk.

For example Treacherous Crows not worth 60 second you spend in the basement, and Weaving Spiders is overbuffed, cause 60 seconds is to little for such huge effect.

I don't think Weaving Spiders is even close to being worth running at 60 seconds. Even if we switch from permanent broken to exposed, going to 90 seconds would make it an absolute killer to your fellow survivors.

I'd far rather have them reduce the time in basement, even if that necessitated lowering the benefit. A minute spent in the basement, much less 90 seconds, isn't fun game play and if it gets interrupted late in the invocation its basically cost the match on that decision alone.

Replace broken with exposed is actually would be a huge buff for the perk. Cause you can no longer one-hit against strong and decent killers (whos mostly m2) like Blight, Nurse, Wesker, Alien, Chucky, Nemesis

  • I think better effect would be if undetectable status effect lingering after you starting to move, with the same seconds when you standing still (max 30 second)

  • @Adrien said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/435300/what-have-you-done-to-chucky

Sounds like you want Chucky back to the S tier. This is only desirable for Chucky mains…

I would partially revert two things :

    SnD cooldown from 14s to 13s and SnD movespeed from 8 to 9 m/s (was 10 m/s pre-nerf).

13 sec is still too much, it needs return to 10 sec.

  • @Oputeeva said:

true reveal thing needs a good rework, because it's unfair when nothing happens when directly stared at him, other things are fine, also 99 stalking should also not exist it's not fair to get 1 hit out of nowhere

Its not fair but its fun so it should stay and maybe even mor encouraged

  • @Oputeeva said:

He is fine, just need more skills to play now, not a brainoff m2 power with always free hit

He is garbage now and all his nerfs needs to be reverted.

  • Lithe is a real problem, not only with finesse, but also with woo and resilience

There's some serious misconceptions here. Wraith was my first Main and my starter Killer, I have played him off and on for a bit over three years now, and Mained Stealth Killers as a whole for about that long too. If anyone can tell you how these are wrong, and how you're misunderstanding Stealth Killers as a whole, it's me.

    1. Incorrect. That's intentional, he's supposed to have a haste boost. He has always had a haste boost. It's always been considered fair before. It's a 3% boost he can only access in Cloak, you can't seriously think a 3% haste boost he loses while decloaking is too strong, man.
    2. Incorrect. Just because a Killer can make loops unsafe doesn't make them busted, you know that right?
    3. Sorta Correct. I agree he needs an addon pass, but both of those addons really aren't that problematic and could frankly be basekitted if they ever wanted to buff him. He doesn't need the buffs though, he's pretty balanced.
    4. Incorrect. That's not his fault whatsoever, that's BHVR's fault for having crappy servers. You can't blame the Killer for something that is on BHVR's end.
    5. Incorrect, but I won't argue that his playerbase is full of newbies and kinda jerkass players. A Killer being good at tactics you find problematic does not make the Killer problematic. Twins is good at slugging, but not every Twins plays that way. Wesker is good at Tunnelling, but not every Wesker plays that way. The same is true of Wraith. He's good at tunnelling and camping, but that's not the way every Wraith plays and not a flaw with the Killer whatsoever. It's a feature not a bug that some Killers do some things better.
    6. Incorrect. Bodyblocking is something every Killer can do, this is not inherently special to Wraith. Pig can also use her dash like this to bodyblock, is Pig an issue? Ghostface can come from nowhere in Stealth to cut off like this, is he an issue? If they are not issues, how is Wraith a problem? Because he's fast? Having. antiloop is a feature, not a bug, and certainly isn't problematic.
    7. Incorrect. He has a downside, that being he slows down while uncloaking, and he growls constantly. He telegraphs he's coming quickly. The gens creating noise and hiding Killer noises is intentional and part of the game - it's a feature not a bug, and it works that way for every Stealth Killer not just Wraith. You can make a case for Coxcombed Clapper being a bit troublesome, but he has a tell for that anyway too - notice when he moves, he makes the air around him shimmer. The counter to Wraith is not nothing, the counter to Wraith as with any Stealth Killer is prerunning and vigilance. That's literally all you have to do to render him ineffective.

I beg of you, play Wraith yourself and see where his weaknesses are by playing enough. You will take every single one of these back. He's one of the least problematic Killers with what happens to be an annoying playerbase. None of that is enough to call for nerfs, and he most certainly isn't OP when his stealth and mobility are not even the best in the game.

Just because you have to pay attention to a Killer does not make them broken. It just means you have trouble with Stealth Killers, there's no shame in that. If you'd like pointers (since you seem new because you think Wraith is OP), I'm more than willing to get in Customs with you and practice looping, noticing Stealth Killers, etc. I am happy to help, DMs are open. :)

1 I mean his speed while hes cloaked, its 6 m/s and its problematic cause he can short distance after sprint burst and lithe like in 2-3 sec. and its very problematic if Wraith wants to tunnel.

4 Bad ping against most killers is fine, just dont be greedy with pallets. But on Wraith and Huntress it shows a problem with unfair hit like never before.

And i have no problem with stealth killers cause Ghostface, Myers, Pig and Sadako my favourite killers to go against. Its just Wraith that is completly overbuffed after this years specially if compare him with this killers. Pig is slow in stealth mode and make very loud noise when ambush. With Ghostface you can literally denied his power plus hes basic m1 killer. Sadako doesnt have insane speed, cant bodyblocking and have lullaby. With Myers you can delay his power by breaking line of sight, he has no mobility and just pure m1 killer. And then its Wraith who have everything (stealth, speed, anti-loop, good addons and map mobility)

  • @SidneysBane1996 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3858888#Comment_3858888

I very seriously want to know how you think Wraith, the most basic of basic Killers, needs a nerf when his entire power is just chase (his Stealth overall isn't all that good because he gives himself away)?

    1. He is insanely fast in his stealth mode that can completely ignore every survivors haste perk
    2. Unfair and busted speed boost after uncloaking that makes all loops unsafe and can get guaranteed hit every single time
    3. Op addons that makes him from slightly annoying killer to very painful to face (specially Coxcombed Clapper, "All Seeing" - Spirit and "Shadow Dance" - Blood)
    4. He is very ping dependant killer just like Huntress (if you have a bad ping against this 2 killers you screwed)
    5. Wraith is biggest tunneler and camper and hes power has perfect synergy with this strategy.
    6. Bodyblocking that is very easy with his insane speed at 6 m/s.
    7. He is stealth killer with no downside (no reveal mechanic, no lullaby, insane speed, very sneaky - if gen is around 80% and more hes noises almost unnoticable and bell with iri addon is complete silent, so you have no idea hes coming until its to late).
  • Im agree with Wraith hes totally needs a huge nerf, but everyone else - no, they not op and mostly needs a buff (specially ghosty and trapper)

  • I usually have 100-110 ping but now its around 130-150, so maybe its servers problem or just event badly optimized.

  • "14 second cooldown is also too long". For Ghostface with 17 sec and Legion with 20 sec cooldown, 14 sec is an unattainable dream

  • I think Gideon should be the first to rework. The amount of pallets on this map is ridiculous. 90% of them should be removed

  • @Daniel_Silva04 said:

I didn't really like the idea, too risky, it would probably go on the list of perks that are never used.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/434392/people-finally-started-to-realize-that-unknown-was-overrated

Unknown's biggest problem is that the "staring at the Unknown" mechanic doesn't actually require staring. Survivors can just quickly flick their camera towards the Unknown for very small periods of time, and they still get 100% non-stop revealing time, because the reveal buffer is super survivor sided. And if a survivor briefly sees the Unknown as it walks past a small hole in a wall, that still triggers the full reveal buffer's worth of time too.

This also means that the Unknown can't easily duck behind various objects while it is chasing a survivor, because the reveal buffer is so long that the survivor is still revealing the Unknown even when they can't see it.

The result is there is a lot of places where Unknown just can't use its UVX, because it can't realistically land a 2nd UVX shot before the survivor cleanses the 1st UVX.

I think "the 3 hit mechanic" for his m2 was his the most weakness just like for Nemesis, but at least with Nemi you have limited 3d health state, unlike Unknown

  • Someone still us COB in 2024? I heard it give you like 3 sec value after its full duration compare to regular regression?
