Well then you should try and look at the map from a DBD gameplay standpoint and stop defending it because "I played and enjoyed RE2!"
I’m not defending it. I understand why people don’t enjoy it but I’m just trying to say that I do enjoy it. It’s just an opinion.

Ill list off all the bad aspects for you
- It’s way too big for an indoor map
- The way it is split up and the overall claustrophobia makes it pretty much impossible to play certain killers on it
- Pallet balance is atrocious with only either god pallets or pallets so unsafe a no blink nurse can play them
- The tight corridors can lead to uninteresting gameplay against certain killers like PH and Plague since they Essentially can’t miss in them
- exit gates are awkward to get to as killer and hooks sometimes aren’t close by
- Easy to defend hooks that are in the corridors
I could go on
Idk I’ve played RE 2 and enjoy the map when I play it.

Fix maps? They added more pallets to the game and released RPD into the live server. They don’t care
RPD is great

Oh wow I never even noticed that until now. Disable the map and don’t bother bringing it back please!

Camaraderie comes from Steve actually, but yes, I agree that Camaraderie is extremely clutch in those scenarios.
Oh ######### you’re right. Why did I think it came from Jeff?

Definitely not, but I felt that this was a good opportunity to talk about why many players don't use it. Underrated Perk University just doesn't have the same ring to it.
It may be niche but it can absolutely be a life savior, especially at end game when a killer is trying to secure a kill. It’s just not used because there are many other perks much more crutch and Camaraderie comes from Jeff, a character no one knows lol.

I see nothing wrong.
Saying "sweaty" is totally wrong and just make you look ridiculous, people play games to win, not to lose, if a Killer or Survivor uses the best Killer and perks in the game, they're not doing anything wrong.
Survivors do the same with the same meta perks like Dead Hard, Adrenaline, Decisive and always rushing gens, because that's how the devs apparently intended the game to be.
Just accept that you lose to a good Nurse player and go to the next match.
^
REALLY???
-
Camaraderie isn’t bad. I find it to be very underrated.
-
As a red rank on both sides, the ratio between toxic survivors and toxic killers I have encountered are like 95:5. It’s really not even a comparison and I’m not sure why it’s like this.
-
I haven’t gotten Lery’s in a while to see how that feels in game. That is very unfair for the survivors though.
-
Survivors might abuse this. What they should do instead is turn the DCed survivor into a bot.

You have to charge her power up for about a third of the bar to be able to get the puke out. It sounds weird but I think it keeps Plague from just tapping M2 and mindlessly spraying one drop of vomit on the survivor.
-
I think a good idea would be to make it where you can mori survivors after hooking everyone once. It would encourage not tunneling as right now it’s almost a requirement to tunnel. As for keys, maybe they’ll add some side objective that balances out the idea I have for moris. I’m not sure what they’ll do though but I’m intrigued to see what it is.

Cobra Kai is my favorite TV show. I’ve watched that show so many times from start to finish.

I actually had a dream about a year ago that I had Spirit’s power in real life. It was so sick and I want it. Imagine playing basketball and phasewalking towards a fastbreak to block the layup or playing football as a defensive end and phasewalking towards the quarterback to sack him unexpectedly.
-
I gotta say Spirit and Plague so I can simp the whole match.

Thank you! I didn't know I could turn chat off! I will continue to practice then :)
I don’t play much of PH but I will say that your power is most effective at jungle jims, shack, TL walls, and loops like that. When you predict a survivor is going to vault a window or go to the pallet, you can start charging your punishment of the damned and put a survivor in a lose-lose situation. If they vault the window or throw the pallet, then immediately cast out the shock wave. If they don’t, cancel your power and go for the M1. You might miss a few attacks with your power as his turning is limited while he has his sword in the ground and it takes a bit of prediction and aim. First time I played PH, I messed up his power many times.
Also in generic round loops, you can use your power to cover them with trails to force the survivor looping you to either waste the pallet or to get tormented. His cages aren’t the strongest but it is a neat tool that could pay off if you use them correctly.
About the cages though, it’s not always best to just send them to cages. If you know other survivors are further away when you down a tormented survivor, it’s best to just hook them. If there’s another survivor near by, you can immediately send the downed tormented survivor to a cage and start the next chase immediately instead of trying to risk slugging a survivor.
I hope all this helps.

In the 4.1.0 patch (July 2020).
Oh so I was still a baby survivor and killer then.
-
Pyramid Head is a strong killer but has a skill cap. You just need practice like anything else. Everyone starts somewhere when learning a killer and there’s no need to feel bad when you’re just starting to play a new killer.
People like those survivors you mentioned are ######### and I’m sorry you had to go through that. It’s just something you have to accept sadly. There’s just always gonna be people like that. I would recommend turning off the chat though by clicking the button on the bottom right of the chat box.
-
I’ve watched that video. My favorite reaction was the match where the killer was Pig. Survivors like that have huge egos and completely ignore what the other side has to go through. 3 gens pop in a spam of 5 seconds, which gives the killer the right to play smarter and sweatier. But no survivors are allowed to do gens super fast but killers can’t tunnel. Killers that have the same double standard are just as bad.
-
If he’s new to the game then I understand why he put Myers and Bubba in the top tier. Those two are two of the best killers at low level imo.
-
@RaSavage42 said:
The regression time won't matter as much seeing how it's much slower then progression (.25 charges per second)
so if you do kick a gen and no one touches it you get 7.50 seconds of repair time removed
But if someone does touch it then they are exposed but you need to be in the right place at the right time in order to get any value from DG and the gen doesn't regress anymore
But of course in a three gen situation the survivors are more apt to look for a key rather then spend time trying to fix a gen with DG on it
I had a match a while ago and that's what happened to me (but I was using Surveillance so I knew what gen they were working on) and had messages sent to me laughing that I'd play like that (staying around my three gen rather then chase the survivor away from it)
I feel like gen kicking should get buffed in some way and that would help DG a lot. As you said the gen only loses 7.50 seconds of progress if they wait out the 30 seconds.
-
When did Bubba have his rework? I probably wasn’t around or was still very new when old Bubba was still a thing.
-
Nah I think it’s fine where it is. It’s still a very strong perk.
-
Demo is a super natural monster (and a good boy) from another dimension and Slinger is just a cowboy with a gun. Gotta go with Demo.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
For every perk cool down should at most be 60 seconds. 80 seconds is way too long and they should reduce it to 60 along with Oppression. Since Dragons already can be quite conditional like MYC.
Oh yeah I forgot about Oppression. I probably should’ve just made this post more about all perks with those ridiculous cooldowns but I used DG on Blight yesterday for adept and acknowledge how ridiculous the cooldown is.
-
I have to agree. I almost never use Tinkerer because I know how annoying it is to go against and isn’t really high risk high reward and/or you have prerequisite to activate it like Ruin or Pop. It needs to be tone down like having a cooldown or making only notify each gen only once.

He's not leaving! Maybe for the people who don't have the game or didn't put money into him, sure.
And getting tunneled to death by 7 of the 12 Demos I've faced since they bought him due to the sale and have ZERO idea how to use him or play killer in general, I have no respect or patience left for the killer.
That isn't something you should be blaming Demo on, mainly the players. Even then though, tunneling is a viable strategy so I don't exactly agree with that.

Yes. Hell I'd rather have a Pig, Wraith, and Ghostface on RPD all at the same time instead of having 12 Demos in a row because it'd at least be a different experience.

I think we can all agree Dead by Daylight has it's fair share of technical problems and glitches, but there's one huge issue that's really affecting gameplay in a harsh manner. And I'm already sure I'm gonna get such positive and understanding responses for this, but it needs to be said.
Within the past year or so, every single round I have seen at least one toxic survivor. The only exception being rounds where I just completely steam roll a bunch of babies, and even then they still try to be toxic. This whole Streamer/Gamer personality, where every single "victory" (even dropping a pallet that doesn't even get a stun) neds to be over celebrated with t-bagging and clicking, survivors that know they outrank the killer feel the need to flashlight click and t-bag and whatever they possibly can think of to bully the killer into giving up.
I know complaining about it means nothing and will likely only encourage people to do it more, but seriously, what is the goal? What is the mindset? You know you outrank the killer by a lot, you know the killer is powerless and very frustrated, so what do you do? Antagonize, bully, mock, anything you can do to drive their face into the mud.
I swear PHub has a subsection that's just footage of Survivors looping and t-bagging killers. There has to be the way people act. It's just so sickeningly toxic. Why do you feel the need to punish people for playing the game and trying to learn? Why do you feel the need to scrub your victory in their face and mock them for not being able to handle four people who each individually have ten times the play hours?
People love to complain about new killers face camping and tunneling, but I get it. I don't support it, but I understand why they do it. You're so brutally punished for doing anything else, so why not get a kill or two by face camping rather then actually chase and end up getting looped, t-bagged, clicked and gen-rushed?
Honestly, with the Gen speeds being screwed up and this on top of it, the game just isn't fun anymore. And that really hurts. I love this game so much and I want to see it keep growing, but it just isn't fun anymore. You try at all and you just get screwed over by the match making and gen rushing, then bullied and mocked by toxic survivors on top of that. I seriously concede the match and open the gates, and they STILL sit there clicking and running around, desperately trying to get me to do something so they can watch me fail.
This disgusting playstyle and undying need to rub in everyone's face how good you are at the game is just ruining Dead by Daylight. New killers are punished for trying to learn the game and any kind of effort to try is met with ruthless toxicity. It's just not fun to try so hard just so four people can rub one out watching your failure to deal with four people who each outmatch you alone.
I'm not even gonna bother trying to request the behavior stop, asking gamers to stop being toxic is like asking the Earth to stop rotating, but it just needed to be said. I used to love the game and look forward to getting on each day, now I dread it. Rounds used to be 15-20 minutes, super fun back and forth gameplay that was a struggle for both sides but still achievable with effort. Now it's just a mad scramble to do as much as possible before the gates are open in 5 minutes. You either steamroll a bunch of newbies or get your face ground into the mud by toxic streamers. I was on the verge of just quitting the game altogether, but Pinhead actually turned out to be a very cool, well-balanced killer.
Yes, this is just a rant post, yes I am aware no one cares and this isn't going to change. it just sucks to now hate a game that I used to love so dearly. I still play because it's still a great game, but now I end up forfeiting 80% of the rounds I play, because I'm not gonna sit there and flail around just so some red rank can bully me and rub one out. 3 minutes into the match I just go and sit at the exit gates and wait ten seconds for the final gen to go off so I can open the gate and wait another ten minutes for all the survivors to get over their desperate attempts to bait me into trying so they can bully me further.
This isn't fun. This is all I've gotten for the past year or so. It's making me dislike the game, and I really hate that. It's way too good a game to be consumed by this Streamer/Gamer personality. It's getting a bad reputation.

So, what's the intent behind it?
It's to encourage and send positive vibes to the Killer right?
It's not a taunt designed to humiliate and cause distress to the other side.
@[Deleted User] said:

So everyone should just ignore this kind of behaviour and become insensitive to it? That's not a healthy mindset to have. Sure, this doesn't happen every game but it's becoming more frequent to point where if you want to play the game, you have to want to play with these kinds of people. Who really wants to play with these kind of people, the kind that call you trash, or a terrible, unlovable person after every match? That will get to anyone eventually.
Also if phrases like "grow a pair" actually worked, then male suicide rates wouldn't be so much higher than females.
Hey y’all I made this thread because I felt bad for what I said. I did come off as rude and I would like to acknowledge it.

if survivors are constantly doing it, than I may find it to be toxic. If it's just one teabag at the exit gate than I take that as them saying GG.
If they’re waiting out the end game timer just to teabag then I can understand as it wastes everyone’s time but other than that it doesn’t really bother me.

That's not an acceptable response.
What I got from this post is that things that make the game fun for Survivor makes the Killers experience worse. This is also true in the reverse. Things that make the Killer experience more tolerable are unfun for Survivors.
Either way, telling someone who is clearly been worn down emotionally to "suck it up" is pretty much the worst response you could have.
He was mainly talking about teabagging and flashlight clicking which really aren’t toxic or things to get upset over. I’m sorry if my comment sounded mean because it did and I edited it because of that but I’m just tired of us vs them and taking in game actions this seriously.
-
Doing actions in a game that isn’t holding games hostage, exploits, or anything that breaks the rules of the game should really not be taken that seriously tbh. I have to disagree with what was said.
