"And ya, a Killer not being viable despite his kool method isn't fun to play when 4 people exit every time .... "

Not everybody plays this game enough to be be a sweathead killer though like I don’t have all of the time in my day to play the game.

  • Yeah expect the only problem is how can you enjoy playing a killer who’s lower tier when they get genrushed to death LMAO

I get you though. To answer your question, I think that Doctor, Trapper, & Plague are the most fun to me.

No, it happens when I’m most of the way through the game. Just a moment ago I was paying Myers. I had one person killed and was carrying another survivor then just suddenly, pop, Brutal Killer and DC bonuses.

OH, that’s just people rage quitting LMAO. Sorry to hear about that I know when survivors DC it sucks.

  • Freddy is in a good place right now I have fun playing against him! Before I didn’t but now I do.

I think he’s more viable at least.

  • @indieeden7 said:

I don't understand what the point of this post is

I have to agree with that. All types of players regardless if you play on console or pc complain.

But yeah, most of the complaints are about bugs lmao.

  • If someone DCs during the loading screen the moment the game starts it will say that somebody has disconnected.

DBD is a little bugged right now so it could be that it didn’t show who DCed.

  • It keeps the forms more neat!

  • Ruin is fine at its place, it can be removed. Eventually lower rank players will learn totem spots later on if they keep playing the game.

Since it’s a hex totem it can be removed entirely from the start, be ignored, or be destroyed mid game. So I don’t think it’s OP.

Plus it prevents survivors from genrushing which is currently an issue in DBD no matter how much of a good killer you are.

For those who are about to objectify my opinion, not everybody plays killer like gods.

  • After the update my matchmaking was perfectly fine until after about two days later.

Instead of getting matched with my rank, (green rank) I was put in the lowest rank of them all. Ranks 16-20.

It really annoys me because I cannot grind for BPs whatsoever, and killer que takes forever.

DBD for me right now is unplayable.

  • @MegsAreEvil said:

Could be due queue time, due to REGION issues, due to ping issues, or just not working MM.

It’s just every lobby I’ve joined has people in ranks 16-20 it’s super frustrating.

Least Favorite: Myers, solely for the sound he makes when hit by the pallet. He shouldn't make any sound.

    Nobody:

    Myers: AARRRH

  • Second wind is fine just another situational perk though. Lots of people in the higher ranks aren’t even bringing in self care anymore.

  • What about on console?

  • You guys are so confusing man I always see survivors are too strong! Survivors are too weak!

It just means you’re bad or good at the game.

Or sweaty SWF team. Not regular friends I mean a sweat SWF. They’re op.

  • Good as survivor. Bad as killer. I really want to get more BPs man I’ve been trying to lvl up Steve & Nancy.

I’ve also been kinda bored of playing survivior too much as well.

Nurse on XBOX, NEVER, and when I get to play against one they suck ass...

Nurse is really hard to play on console but there’s a reason why she isn’t played as much. It’s the same issue with Huntress.

  • @snowflake102 said:

Ok so it seems to me that swf players don't like this change:( I for one really like this change :) Now one option to handle this issue since both sides are battling on what is a great change to a crappy change I say devs how about just removing swf completely sinice I believe that's the issue as to why match making takes a long time to find a match. So plz devs will you consider just removing swf? Yes I know swf players won't like my opinion :)

Also to all swf players if you don't won't them to remove this then I would advise you all to just deal with the change and play the game for fun:)

this is a great/nice change they did:)

P.s plz devs can you consider to just removing swf completely? Since this looks like what was causing match slow making.

Bait. Removing SWF would kill the game. Plus I like playing with my bf!!! 💗💗💗

I usually play for a solid few months, with anywhere from 1 week to a few months break if I hit burnout.

Yeah honestly same here. I recently just took about possibly a 4-5 month from the game? I only recently came back for the Stranger Things DLC but I’ve been playing ever since.

your theory is incorrect because survivors egos are through the roof for things like beating a low tier killer

You guys can have your opinions. That’s totally fine! I disagree however.

There are tons of killers out there who would kill survivors at any rank. I don’t mean the very few that would farm for BPs, or let them escape cuz they notice they were playing badly, I mean a lot of killers would still kill low ranked survivors as well.

I mean how could they not?

Is that considered toxic? Of course not. Only if you type something toxic in the chat. But there’s always going to be people who gets super salty during the matches man.

I just wanted to make a comment on that.

  • What is this exactly? Sorry I play on PS4

  • Lately I’ve been having killers DC even when they killed people?

Its usually either during end game or when everyone is about to escape lmao

  • I thought it was only me! It’s the same for me too but on PS4.

I’ve also experienced that one today too. Thank you for adding another bug that is Game breaking to the list.

Of course! Devs are currently trying to figure out the second bug however.

  • @Mr_K said:

    Killers can open exit gates

That idea was discarded. Trapper was standing right next to the Steve that was downed nearby the exit gate and the other one there was nobody there.

  • The only bugs I’ve ever truly encountered are the ones where you can’t heal yourself or others. That’s a major problem and it should definitely be fixed.

Then there’s another one where some people can’t escape the exit gates which also happened to me a few times.

I always try to report them as soon as I get them with as much detail as possible.

  • I had to reread this multiple times to understand this and I still can’t

Giving somebody a percentage of their hook escape shouldn’t be shown regardless of their a new player or not

It eliminates the whole idea of how risky it truly is

If you want to unhook yourself just bring deliverance?

  • I don’t really mind but if someone has some sort of disability problem or can’t exactly move their fingers very well it can be difficult.

There should be an option for people who have that kind of issue! Everyone should be able to enjoy the game

I think that with some game mechanics design changes the "weaker" killers can be put back to a good spot.

The reason the Big Three are in a good spot is because the game has been funneled into a genrush/chase paradigm, so killer mobility is the single most powerful thing that matters.

If the devs would just nerf looping and survivor chases a bit more so that chases don't last 5 minutes and then enable alternate strategies to survive, the power of The Big Three would go down all by itself and other killers would get a spot in the limelight.

Some of the suggestions people have given are drastic but good. A survivor stamina bar that limits how long they can sprint is one. In return though survivors need to be able to stealth and juke better. Some players have suggested additional hiding spots and obstacles on the map. Which are good but requires a lot of work.

Ultimatley, BHVR seems to not want to take the effort to rework a lot of the design elements. Instead they are focusing on Band-Aid Perk fixes to try to shift the meta. This is, again, just a bandaid fix and will not fix basic design issues in the game. BHVR needs to be brave and put in the work to try different and more radical fixes to the game.

If they don't want to, maybe it's time to start working on DBD2. Since they have said they want this game to continue another 5 years or so, it's important that they start thinking of basic design changes instead of just releasing bandaid perks and DLC.

Yeah I can agree with you man. I feel like most of the problems can linger from generator times and how long chases can truly last for because some people really know how to juke properly and safely.

This game has been out for about three years now and the meta has barely changed. Only yet this time people don’t really heal.

Like there are many perks that are never used because they’re ever so situational or aren’t really that good on both sides.

We have tons of low or mid tier killers while there are only three on the top spot like if you really aren’t going to check them or fix them properly what’s the point of actually having them there?

Like a lot of people say that you can make any killer high tier if you know how to play them really well but not a lot of people might not play DBD for hours and hours yknow? There are people who have lives or can’t play as much.

I think playing Billy or Nurse is really boring not gonna lie but that’s just my opinion.

  • I literally have in my PS4 bio “hello clownass feel free to send hatemail ill gladly laugh at you!” I think it reminds salty people that they look like a clown 🤡🤡🤡

Sometimes the hate messages I’ve gotten from DBD are honestly hilarious.

You shouldn’t let it get to you, they’re just salty that you killed them.

  • @Hellz_Minion666 said:

Idk why after 3 years the dev's can't fix some problems without making a huge amount more. Since the new chapter dropped everything is screwed up. C'mon get your ######### right!

Sometimes a big new update can come out and new bugs can be created. It’s better that devs do a hotfix other than no hotfix and we stay with even more bugs.

  • @Maelstrom10 said:

Survivors need map design nerfs, lower tier killers need buffs and survivors alternative strategies like stealth and healing (something to promote it, and therefore waste time in the killers favor in order to have the survivor happy and healthy) need buffs. Enough said

Totally agree! I think weaker killers should definitely be looked at. I’m tired of playing against the same killers honestly.

  • I hope I never have that happen to me LMAO

What game are you playing and is it on Steam sale?

I got you it’s called Unfair by Morning

  • Why did they change it in the first place? What’s not broken shouldn’t be fixed.

  • If you don’t tunnel, you should be good. Sometimes you can get unlucky by the moment they use their DS it’s already gone aka used once so you don’t have to worry about it later on in the game.

DS is more situational nowadays, but I completely understand your frustration.

  • @MartinCZ said:

btw games around 20 rank are kinda funny, dont steal that solo experience by force him to play with you from start

He just plays with me because we get bored a lot but I’ll try to tell him that lmao

  • @StupidPallets said:

Ya. The issue you describe makes sense. PS4 does have longer wait times, and they "fixed" matchmaking in the sense of closely aligning skill level from Killer to Survivors. Also, it depends on the time of day for PS4 users. 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. are prime hours to get faster games.

It's not just you, it's everyone.

I can find games more quickly as a solo player but finding games with other people takes me a lot longer.

Thanks for the heads up! I’ll keep it in my mind.

  • @Speshul_Kitten said:

You say Rank 10 at the moment like it’s a bad thing to be a Rank 10.

That being said, yes he would go into rank 10 matches with you if you’re the highest ranking person in the lobby. Sucks for him.

Haha it’s no problem! It’s still fun to play with him regardless of what happens. Thank you.

  • I don’t regret anything haha MY TIME TO FLEX!

  • I don’t even know why people are DCing at Freddy like he’s not even that bad to play against right now. At least that’s my opinion!!

  • @HisKillerDude said:

Yeah dude we get it, the sky is blue and some people are toxic on both sides. However, the majority of the time that there is toxicity it comes from survivors. I have plenty of messages I can share with you where I was called racial slurs, told to kill myself, cussing me out, etc. Also a lot of survivors just throw words like "camping" and "tunnelling" around. I'm not tunnelling you, you're just one of the two people I keep running into.

Also, toxicity as a survivor is ALMOST always rewarded or done in a way where you don't lose much. Tbagging at loops, flashlight clicking, quad DS, etc. Has zero downside. Killers on the other hand when they partake in toxicity(not excusing it because some killers are a-holes) let it be face-camping or tunnelling they get penalties for it. Tunnel someone? Get gen-rushed. Face-camp? Get gen-rushed.

As it stands being a survivor is braindead easy and takes no effort except when you go against one of three killers. I guess toxic people are usually just bad and like they strut around like they are good so they just gravitate toward the easier role.

The only toxic part about what you mention were just the insults you've gotten from salty survivors. I play solo survivor so I can't really relate to very toxic SWF games.

Teabagging or flashlight clicking can only get to you if you let it man. Sure it can be annoying but you'll always end up getting them in the end. It's not considered "toxic" really, in my opinion.

Decisive strike is only a problem if you tunnel the person who got unhooked. I would say it's more situational, but it depends on how people killers play, or if you caught someone too early on.

I think the the main issue in DBD right now has to be generators. Generators have been untouched for the longest time while everything else changes around. It's been about three years now, and ruin shouldn't be the only thing to truly delay to make games last longer for killers. I get kinda tired of seeing the same meta over and over again honestly.

Survivor does take effort though, not everybody does meta builds every game. I get bored as hell of it so I always change it up! I'd have to disagree about you saying that toxic people play survivor, that's like saying EVERY survivor is toxic.

There's just toxic people on both sides, in every game online multiplayer game. That will never change sadly.

Well, I don't try for ranks anymore, just not fun to go through all I've listed abused to their fullest extent.

I'm on console too (Xbox is my platform).

Yeah, but they only need them if they are in a position where they messed up and need a second chance. Using perks like DH or DS just means you have no confidence in your ability to get away from the killer.

Camping is boring and unintuitive. It requires no brain cells, and hinders you greatly, especially if they have kindred.

Survivors have no win condition. If they die or not, they can still "win" by game logic, since they can still pip.

That... I've never seen that before... but usually I'm on the giving end of those. Idk. I stand by my point, it's not the mori itself, but how they're used.

They do. But having a post that says "But killers do it too" is not going to help solve this. Call out the behaviors that are toxic. You call out toxic survivor behaviors, I'll call out toxic killer ones. Idk, but don't make it killer vs. survivor, because we know which side the devs usually take.

That’s totally fine, we both have different opinions and I respect yours man. In the end it’s just frustrating on both sides but that’s DBD for you lmao.

  • @Cetren said:

    Killers can be toxic too

*hasn't played at rank 1 yet.*

Sorry dude. I have a friend that was brand new to the game who started maining killer. Fun to play with, great sport. It only took him 50 in game hours before he started going gg ez every game he's won, because he got BM'ed so much as killer. Playing against toxic survivors does something different to people.

That doesn’t just invalidate what I said though, toxicity happens on both sides in any rank

  • @Raven014 said:

So... you're point is...? All you're doing is stating the obvious. I try not to be toxic, because I just don't get enjoyment from the game in that way. However, others do. You get good with the bad, as in all things.

But you can't deny a lot of survivor perks are second chances. From Exhaustion perks like Lithe, SB, and BL for being out of position, to perks like BT, DS, and Kindred, to punish the killer for making certain desicions, to perks like Inner Strength and Second Wind, which punish the killer for not chasing you.

Then there are items that fix mistakes for survivors, like instaheals and keys (I consider keys the get out of jail free card except if they're going for the achievement).

Killers have moris, but I wouldn't consider that toxic, only in how it's used.

Some people have grudges, and some people don't know better than to camp.

Something you may consider not toxic could to the killer, then again, you're being vague in that statement. Vice versa too, something the killer may not consider toxic, like slugging, could be perceived as such.

I think I know what you're trying to do, to unite people together against toxicity, but at the same time you're just pitting people against each other at the same time. People might see that you are just saying "It's not survivors fault they're toxic, because killers are too!" which is just unproductive in the long run.

Bruh moment. I don’t play this game enough to be in red rank only around purple or green rank at most. (Or even have really OP/good addons)

I don’t experience half of that. Plus I play on console, so you can already imagine how different it is compared to PC other than meta.

I don’t really have a comment to say when it comes to survivors second chances other than it’s their best chance of SURVIVAL. Dead by daylight is an asymmetric game. Survivors or killers could have an advantage at a game simple as that.

I do wish that other perks were used more often but the majority of them are very situational. The same for killers.

Killers literally get more bloodpoints even if they just killed two people. But if I end up getting camped, or tunneled I can’t do anything and get less than 7k BPs. That is nothing.

I don’t consider moris to be toxic which is why I didn’t include it in the list other than waiting last second during end game to mori me, like why waste my time? I literally just go on my phone until they finally mori me but it’s just so petty and boring.

Overall, toxic players suck. They make the game unfun for everyone. There will always be toxic players on both sides.

  • PS4 players (or console players overall) don't have this problem because Nurse barely exists lmao...even in the high ranks.

I would hate to play against the Nurse though.

1 2 3 4 … 14
