Are you playing both survivor and killer equally? If not, you cannot see the problems survivors have.
Other than tunneling, camping, trash teammates, the need for dlc perks, the need for learning to loop. The killers just have more major problems than survivors.

Hey Hulk.
They buffed killers a lot, maps are way more killerfriendly now, many strong things survivors had got nerfed or even removed...
I dont have trouble winning as killer, its more stressful then playing survivor, but in general not really harder. Said that, its FAR from beeing impossible to win.
Also keep in mind that survivor mains are usually more experienced then killer mains since they only have to learn one model and thats it. As a killer main, you have to learn 20 killers, all of them come with unique power and their peculiarities. It takes longer to master them, unless you only play one certain killer all the time
My honest suggestion: Try to improve first before complaining. Go watch strong killers on youtube. I recommand you FunGoose.
Kind regards
Yes but what about perks, SWF, Gen Rushing. Yes I’m a decent on both sides, I know the ins and outs of being both a killer and survivor. Striving to be greater is all I do. But getting gen ruse should by SWF with meta perks makes it very tough. Also some survivors are really good at looping, I would’ve won if all of them were really good at looping. I’ve seen this a lot, I’m not the only one with this problem, and I’m definitely pretty good at playing this game.

I'm sorry, but if you were a somewhat good killer player, I doubt this would be a complaint. I'm not trying to sound mean here.
"or not be able to catch and hook not a single survivor"
If you're struggling to even hook 1 survivor in a 6 plus minute game, you may need to reevaluate your play.
Should you consider gen rushing a problem, or just survivors doing their job, or both?

You know, have you ever stopped to think maybe with all these complaints that you're the one that needs to improve a bit more? The game isn't perfect, but if you properly understand killer you're going to win the majority of the games you play.
For 2 years I have played this game, I’m decent at both sides. Clearly survivors are way more favorable to this game

It would be survivor and it doesn't really need any explaining. Killers are always getting nerfed or "reworked" as the devs like to call it. Survivors haven't gotten a true nerf since MoM, unless you want to count dedicated servers which is a huge but accidental nerf.
MoM has been buffed.

As much as I would like it if the devs finally addressed some of the issues that have Plagued, (get it), this game for so long, their current business model may not allow it. Or maybe it could and they just want the extra money.
Honestly, none of us know why they're focusing so much on new content besides the obvious revenue they get from added it.

Honestly 115% speed sounds completely fair imo, and breaking the chain slower with a survivor does, though i feel completely negating it is a bit too much. expecially since the killers still dragging the second survivor towards himself, so thats technically two survivors in very close proximity, but so long as he gets the hit on one of them i say its fair!

Tbh i agree. passive sickness should happpen before fully sick, mostly because it gives a free potential period of time before their even sick which is odd. The locker thing i don't feel is to huge a deal though, as your likely to either pull them out, or leave them to dstrike which will break them anyways.

Wraith already has that as an addon.. one to negate the bell and one to negate the red light, and both fully make him silent with only the woosh, remaining by which point your already attacking the survivor so no real point. All other addons seem quite op, with a few of these killers already having ultra rares. Fun ideas but not really the point of the post, since it was more about leveling out lower tier items/killers and pushing them into a better position :P

This.... genuinely sounds like a beyond fun idea!!!! reversed controls seem like a bit much, but at the same time, it would make him incredibly good in chase. paired with the blurred vision etc would be fun if a lil unfair feeling. Would need to be heavily moderated changtes, and the action nullified what exactly do you mean by that? totally agree with the tier up system for intoxication though. would lead to him having a form of map pressure due to intoxicated survivors having a tougher time on gens etc.
Besides, the Ultra-Rare add-ons are supposed to be pretty powerful, and creative, the Hag's might be a little too powerful.

For example, you press the button to hit a skillcheck. This effect would nullify that action once. It applies the same with vaulting, throwing down pallets, and even running.

For Deathslinger, make it so that a survivor blocking the chain doesn't make the chain break faster. You can still body block, but at least Deathslinger will have a chance to still get a hit. Also making the chain a bit stronger would be nice, or hell, just make him 115%.
For Clown, make the reload gradual. Instead of one 5 second reload, make it so that you get 1 bottle per second. Also, up the base bottle count to 5, and get rid of the ridiculous slowdown he gets when he throws a bottle.
I really like the idea of your Wraith and Huntress changes. Doesn't seem like it would make them OP, and would even help Huntress with pressure on larger maps, making the choice to have no hatchets for more map pressure.
The Clown should have a tier system for survivors, similar to Doc's, the survivors can actually get intoxicated/drunk. For example, Level 1: Has a chance for the action button to be nullified. Level 2: Survivors have a chance to stumble. Level 3: Survivors controls are reversed. Intoxication decreases over 2 minutes.

Hag:
An Ultra-Rare add-on: All 10 traps are placed in random locations across the map at the start of the match.
Nurse:
An Ultra-Rare add-on: When blinking, you lose your red stain and the particle effect (The stream particle when blinking).
Wraith:
An Ultra-Rare add-on: When cloaking/uncloaking, you lose the "wooshing" sound effect.
Huntress:
An Ultra-Rare add-on: The Huntress now has the ability to throw 2 hatchets at a time. (Press secondary button to add/remove a hatchet)
An Ultra-Rare add-on: The Huntress is now the only person to hear her humming.
The Pig:
An Ultra-Rare add-on: The Pig's Dash range is doubled, she also can cancel this ability at will. (Press secondary power button)

You want more informations? What infos are you missing?
I am around in gaming industry for a long time and i have played many many online games, but there are hardly any games i can name that involve the community as much as this one. They inform us about their plans all the time, they communitcate throw several plattforms with us all the time, they stream, they have active devs in this forum who answer all the questions that need to be answered, often over and over again the same FAQs.
You guys have to understand that there are countless opinions and desires for every game and they can not please everybody. Also.. it is a golden rule for game developement to listen to their audience, but what the audience is asking for and what they actually need are often two completly different things. This is a bit offtopic but people dont always know what they really want. They think they know, but when they have it, they see what it costed to get that, and then they realise when it is 2 late.
I get your point.

Hello OP
First of all.. Game developement... i know you probably mean "fixing the game" by that, but just for the record, game developement is not just bug fixing, programming and implementing new ideas for balancing.
Back to topic: please explain how you would handle that situation and how it would be helpful for the game to focus on fixing the game? Fire everyone that has nothing to do with coding or ballancing? And then hire programmers or new game designers? And after the game is fixed, fire them and get back the old staff? Retraining the Art team?
I get your idea and i understand your needs, but it is not how things are working in life and definitly not how you run a successful company.
Yea, but it will be wise for them to give us more information. They say they hear what we are saying but they never respond. If the devs wanted to tell me that no new content is a recipe for disaster, then they should. That's why we have community managers. We need more communication.

With the ruin change, I now see corrupt in nearly every match I've played. How is this fun or fair to new players? They load into a match, and can't even start working on a gen. Most of them don't even know what's going on, why they can't work on a gen. Perk is used to much imo, therefore it's bad for the state of the game
Would you rather have the old ruin back? I would.

What killer are you using, and what build? I can't defend these devs at all, because I feel what they've allowed to happen to this game is inexcusable and the fact they took the only perk out the game that actually made skillchecks, skillful, has made the game way too easy for survivors to snowball (at least when I play survivor) in the early game. Especially when I play with swf, we typically INTENTIONALLY 3 gen just to give the killer a chance at the end. With BT/Unbreakable/DS, it makes it almost impossible to the killer to even kill any one of us, unless they facecamp. When I play killer, I just have to play as well as I can now, without knowing your build or who you tend to play as killer, I would say run corrupt, juggle early/ do not commit to long chases or strong loops, and slug when you feel necessary. I've not had any real issues with killer games at red ranks, are there games where 2-3 gens pop in my face very early in the game, yes, does that necessarily mean I automatically lose, no. Does it feel like ######### if it happens, yes. I do feel that gen speed is to blame, and I feel like the devs have lost their minds that they think that toolboxes are the immediate culprit. Just keep your head up and keep trying to get better.

Gen speeds don’t need to be increased, it’s when survivors team up on generators when they go super fast
Scenario: You are doing a gen by yourself, along with 2 other survivors. The killer is distracted by the best looper in the world. How long will it take to complete 3 gens?
-
@Warlock_2020 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1106724#Comment_1106724
Mark my words, gens will go even faster. Avoiding totems will become a thing. I hope I'm wrong, but this encourages even more focus on gens. Really dumb perk.
Would rather they just disguise the hex totems better than give us yet another aura perk, but one that may keep survivors from spending time totem hunting.
His perks are not that good, I kinda feel like the devs are still bias. Just compare his perks to the new survivor's perks.

Once, and if, you play the PTB you will understand. Or even the dev notes will do the trick.
I took a tookbox into the PTB. Granted a brown one. This toolbox was fast but the downside was only about a 1/4 of the gen got done. Maybe a tad bit more. But not much more. Toolboxes are not going to be as problematic in the next patch if it goes live.
They are working on it.
Yes, toolboxes are fixed, but the gens still take up to 80 seconds to complete. If you are in a chase for 1 min and 20 seconds, how many gens will get done?

No, it took me 30 seconds to get a hit.

well if you're chasing a very good survivor you feel like will be never caught just leave him alone and go patrol gens. it's your choice to waste time or not. maybe you'll find that survivor later away from the loops.
i don't get it, usually in a chase only 1 or none gens pop. learn to patrol and push people off the gens instead of wasting time chasing one survivor on a god loop. i don't want to be that guy, but if you actually let 3 gens pop in a 30 second chase, you did something wrong.
It also depends on the type of killer. But I faced a 4 man swf, all rank 1 with toolboxes. I tried hoping from survivor to survivor, but the ones I leave, gets on the same gen of the survivor I currently switch to. Which makes it impossible for a killer to stop 3 survivors from completing 3 separate gens. Not to mention that I was Billy on a red forest map. I'm not a new killer, I've been playing dbd for almost 2 years now (mostly killers).
-
@memento said:
20 sec to find a survivor.
30 sec to take a hit.
10 sec to carry a downed survivor.
90 sec to take a hook = 3 gens done.
Being looped can take to about 45 seconds, breaking a dropped pallet can take 2 seconds, weapon cooldown can take 2 seconds also, more looping, more pallets dropped and broken, then another hit, then pick the survivor up, take them to a hook, then find another survivor
which can equal to 3 gens getting done or more.
-
@toxicmegg said:
gen speeds are fine. the toolboxes are the ones that need a nerf which will now happen. and no 3 gens is gonna pop in a 30 second chase. nice bait anyway
Even if it wasn't a 30 second chase, you still have to chase 1 survivor while 3 other survivors do a gen which takes 80 seconds. If a killer is going against a really good survivor, the survivor will never be caught. The killer would waste a lot of time chasing that survivor, and by that time, the 3 survivors working on 3 gens at the same time, would complete them.
-
@toxicmegg said:

80 seconds per gen, plus you have to find a survivor.

They already said they won't change gen speeds. I don't blame them since doing gens are already boring as it is, I don't wanna spend 100 seconds on a gen constantly.

Honestly, the problem with game developers and gamers is that gamers are addicted to the games and the developers know this. If gamers would protest by not playing then that would light a fire under developer butts. Instead, players just suffer until they can't take it anymore.
I'm just saying, The Devs know what needs to be fixed. Meanwhile, we should enjoy the game because of how unique it is. Everyone is always talking about the game problems, instead of enjoy what make us keep coming back for more. All I see in discussions are complaints about the game. No one talks about the great things of this game. Its basically, "I got tunneled and camped, the devs need to remove this, they are not doing their job". Give them some time and please release the pressure on their shoulders. With all due respect of course.

No, they don't have to get better. Not everyone wants to be super competitive in this game. They shouldn't have to adapt to any level but their own. You shouldn't have to watch streams outside of a game to get better either.
The Developers need to do a better job but I doubt they will. They already plan to hide rankings in the future so people won't be able to complain. All it will do is make more Killer mains stop playing.
But you can't trust that the devs, will do everything right. Let alone quickly fix this problem. To be honesty, I learned how to play killer this way. I was always a killer main, and I had to learn how to deal with certain survivors. I see it as; you learn more ways to cope with toxic survivors, or wait for the devs to fix their problems. With all due respect of course.
