    Hopefuly never.

Don't know everyone's hatred about Twins. Just played them yesterday, very fun to me.

Victor's "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" and "Ooooaaaaaaaaaaaah!" are priceless too.

By the way, if someone answer me, I would be grateful.

Ok, some complaints I heard and rather understand:

Skull Merchant - forever 3 gen.

    Old Sadako - slugfest.

Artist/Knight - hold W (absolutely pointless complaint because it's basically for every killer, unless you Ayrin/JRM)

    Pyramid/Nemi/Wraith/Trickster - tunnel-tunnel-tunnel

For a certain extent: Bubba (because almost no one plays like "play" him and he's just an airvent for miserable dunces)

    But what Twins did wrong?

The Twin's whole playstyle revolves heavily around slugging and camping, more so than any other killer in the game. For Survivors, if your not constantly making sure to be healed up you'll just end up losing the match because Victor is unloopable and gets downs incredibly easy, and for Killers if your not slugging and camping chances are you'll lose because of how awful their time efficiency is. Speaking of Victor he has a million and one issues for both sides as well like how his hitbox on the survivor perspective looks absolutely unfair and as Killer having to deal with his awful FOV and tendency to get caught on invisible objects makes playing as him unfun for both sides.

There are also a million more things I haven't mentioned like how unfun it is to be kicked by a survivor, how awful most of the twin's addons are, how every single time you land a hit as Victor you have to wait for 5 seconds for your cool down to end and 3 seconds to regain control of charlotte, victor sometimes randomly dying on stairs because of how his death, survivors holding victor turning you into a boring and weak M1 Killer with some map knowledge, how easily maps can screw you over, need I go on?

  • Like you said it's a terrible addon that helps survivors a lot. The worst thing that can happen to any Killer is if all the survivors spawn by themselves because that means that no matter who you chase you'll still have 3 unpressured survivors meaning that by the end of your first chase, you'll probably have only 2 gens left to defend.

and no, gen defense Killers aren't the meta at all, not sure where you pulled that out from.

It....is....why do you think Deja Vu got a buff and considering Knight and SM released basically the same shows that gen defending killers are being tested in the waters despite heavy backlash and heavy nerfs on kicking gen perks but still being used as opposed to pressure surv with slow healing or hit n run.

Do you wonder why Killers like Blight, Oni, Wesker, and Hillbilly are not only more prevalent than gen defense Killers but also more highly regarded?

Idk lets see they all have the mechanic behind zoom around map and get fast downs, they favor the people that can flick with them so that makes them even more appealing to the opposing side, and oh yeah majority of players like fast gameplay. Not everybody wants to play fast.

You don't need to have built-in game delay if you have lethality and map mobility because just being able to down survivors faster than an M1 killer and being able to traverse the map already puts a ton of pressure on the survivor.

Does every killer have map mobility? No. Does every killer have map lethality? No. Are maps all a reasonable size to accommodate for the weaker M1 killers? Nope. Sooooo why doesn't every killer have zoom powers and easy fast ways to get hits? Oh, it makes the game repetitive and no diversity and everyone would play the same.

Deja vu got a buff because it wasn't just Gen defense Killers taking advantage of the 3-gen meta, it was everyone. It wasn't a Gen defense Killer meta, it was a 3-gen meta influenced by Overcarge, Eruption, and Call of Brine. They just so happened to thrive in it.

Yup, you hit the nail on the head. All the Killers I mentioned are more popular because they appeal to more of the community than gen defense Killers. With them, there's very little to no Filler gameplay AKA holding W, trying to get to the next chase, etc. That does technically mean that they're just better designed than Killers like SM or Knight. It's fine if not everybody wants to play Fast, I mean I play Killers like Deathslinger and Nemesis who aren't fast at all.

Not every Killer needs to have map mobility and or lethality, I'm just pointing out that by not implementing at least one of those into a Killer you end up getting Killers who for the most part aren't healthy for the game at all. Anti-loop Killers may have several issues with them but it's an infinitely more preferable alternative than Killers who have to extend the game beyond any reasonable amount to just barely squeeze out a victory. Not every Killer needs to be a zoomy fast hit type of Killer but they need to at least have an ability that gives them one or the other. And just because every Killer should have one of these doesn't mean there won't be any diversity in the cast. Singularity, Dredge, Demogorgon, and Blight for example all have map mobility and lethality, and yet none of them are even remotely similar.

  • It's one thing to dislike Wesker, but really? Finding Hillbilly not fun is pretty uncommon. I mean, the sheer fact that not only Killers complained about his nerf but also Survivors speaks volumes. Everyone back in the day absolutely hated what happened to him.

Billy having high rewards...thats a good one.

But I agree, we need killers like those (high skill high reward), but not including hillbilly as he requires high skill yet countering him is incredibly easy.

That's fair, I should've stated it but I meant pre nerf Hillbilly. I used to main him and I still kinda do but it's just not the same anymore. With maps like Tobas landing and him just being not strong enough to counter it, he's just not worth picking up.

They most certainly don't want Wesker, Oni, or Blight who get complained about frequently for being played TOO MUCH.

Billy's fine cause he's not really much of a threat to anyone these days. So it is understandable for people to be confused with what survivors want because basically every type of killer gets complained about unless they literally are too weak or kit hindered to be a threat. Like no one complains about Sadako unless she does condemned cause outside of that one playstyle she's dog water for a number of reasons.

Killers want to know what survivors actually and what devs actually expect. Like we're working with the same stuff as y'all and while bad actors will purposely do aggravating things no matter what, the majority of killers literally are just trying to make killers work for them and viable methods are actually quite limited.

We get hate for chasing, we get hate hit and run, we get hate for gen defense, we get hate for anti-loop, we get hate for tunneling, we get hate for camping, we get hate even when we just let y'all have the game. I can't count how many times I've been nice enough to farm when survivors clearly wanted it only to turn around get hate. So what do y'all really want and do the devs expect? Cause we don't freakin know and every release seems to just be Mixed Signals the movie the game starring Nic Cage. Can not stress enough how mentally ill trying to understand what y'all want makes me sometimes.

Killers are just as infuriating for a lot of the same reasons, but the game doesn't pit me against other killers so that's why this focused on survivors before anyone wants to have a go. That's like survivors asking for SWF nerfs y'all on the same side and not saddled with playing against them so while the pseudo-solidarity is appreciated it don't make sense.

Not only are you confusing an extreme minority of the community with the majority but you're literally just cherry-picking examples. Just because one survivor complained here or there doesn't mean they represent the bigger player base.

First of all, Blight is the only one who gets hate from survivors and it's not evenly spread across the whole Killer, people only hate some of the OP add-ons he has like Alch Ring or Compound 33 (and yeah I'd know because I main him.) Other than that Oni doesn't get talked about at all because he's a good Killer apart from some issues that should be fixed like pre-dropping against him, Wesker only gets complained about because he was an extremely common Killer to go against which made the game get stale, not because he's op.

Secondly, I should've specified but pre-nerf Hillbilly was a perfect Killer, and no, he still very much is a threat. I'd know because I main him and those other Killers I mentioned. There's no denying his lethality has been heavily reduced but he's still a very good Killer who just takes a dumb amount of hours to become good at. And once again you're confusing an extreme minority with the majority. Most people who play both sides don't enjoy weak Killers because even if they're weak their counterplay could still be incredibly boring or unfun, and playing as them sucks. Trapper is a killer that sucks and yet despite that you don't see people clamoring for him and yelling out from the top of their lungs that has the most fun Killer to go up against, so quit generalizing survivors into one big group. It shows your bias.

And most people from what I've seen don't explicitly hate the Killer player, they just hate what they have to do to play effectively. No one's out here saying SM players should be hung from the gallows or anything, they're complaining that the only way SM players can play effectively is by holding a 3 gen which makes the match miserable for everyone. Plus, it's not like it's just survivors complaining about these Killer designs, it's also Killers doing the same. I play Killer and I hate SM because the only real way to play her is by holding down 3 gens because otherwise, she is literally just an M1 Killer with no mobility and mediocre lethality.

No, you don't get hate for chasing or anything else you mentioned. Just because a survivor or two out of several games of yours decided to complain about you doesn't mean half the community is out to get you. People just expect the devs to at least be able to discern between what is healthy for the game and what isn't. That new survivor perk that gives you 3% haste for just being injured is extremely dumb and unhealthy, the new map sucks for most Killers, especially ranged Killers like Deathslinger who I play a lot.

Just because I'm talking about crappy Killer designs doesn't mean I'm some survivor main like you automatically assume I am. You keep saying "ya'll" as if I'm someone who has only played Survivor and hasn't touched Killer at all. I have 2.7K hours in DBD and counting and about ~65% of it has been spent on playing Killer. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. I'm speaking as a person who has a lot of time on both sides and has seen what gets people to DC/Complain. Do you actually think I haven't complained about some things on the survivor side or something? I talked about how dumb the Hillbilly nerfs were, I've talked about how most of the maps in the game screw over a lot of Killers, like Deathslinger, and I've also talked about how dumb the new haste perk is on Survivor.

So you are saying no gen defenders? Hate to break it you but that is the killing meta rn hate to say it. BHVR can make as many anti-loop killers and they will all end up being the same.

Gens are crucial to surv as well as killers. Killers dont like seeing gens go down and surv love to. So when a killer can defend them hard and better than say a bunch of other killers with just Pain res or kicking a bunch people are gonna play them.

Yeah, I guess you could say that I'm saying gen defender Killers shouldn't exist. Killers like SM whose whole gimmick revolves around delaying the game as much as humanely possible are awful for the health of the game, and no, gen defense Killers aren't the meta at all, not sure where you pulled that out from. Do you wonder why Killers like Blight, Oni, Wesker, and Hillbilly are not only more prevalent than gen defense Killers but also more highly regarded? It's because despite not having built-in slowdown like Knight, Cenobite, or SM their lethality in both chase and map mobility more than makes up for it. You don't need to have built-in game delay if you have lethality and map mobility because just being able to down survivors faster than an M1 killer and being able to traverse the map already puts a ton of pressure on the survivor.

Killers like SM, Knight, or Cenobite don't have much in the way of lethality or map mobility so they have to make up for it by having built game delay which forces survivors in extremely unfun scenarios. No one wants to spend 30 minutes in a game against SM trying to break a 3-gen, having to constantly solve the box to avoid having a million chains interrupt you or being constantly chased by a Knight.

  • @egg_ said:

They're both still doable not sure what you're talking about

Yeah, but they're considerably more difficult to hit and feel way worse to use overall. When I say I wish 180s for these Killers would return I mean what they used to be like before they got "patched out."

  • @HugTechLover said:

You can still hit 180 flicks on both.

The OLD 180 flick on blight was a lot of fun though. Or the true moonrush… good times.

True, but with Oni it feels really difficult to hit and overall feels not that good to use, and Blight can still hit 180's although his 180's now are way worse and slower than before. J flicks were so damn fun to use and all the other techs he's lost too...

  • @lifestylee said:

oni can still do 180 flick not sure if you can do it with blight but yea

180s with Oni are pretty difficult to hit, not like what they used to be. It feels much worse to use than when he first got it.

Im simply convinced that surv just want M1 killers constantly with boring powers.

Yall got tired of anti-loop killers and now are tired of gen defending killers plz unite on a decision of which one you would like cause Im honestly confused.

Literally not true at all, people just don't want Killers like Skull Merchant or Knight who have extremely irritating and boring counterplay. Killers who have nothing but anti-loop are also boring because the counterplay will always without fail be to just hold W which isn't enjoyable for anyone. People want Killers like Wesker, Hillbilly, Oni, and Blight who not only have a lot of depth to them for both sides but also have fun and interesting counterplay.

    Why nerf the Artist?

Anyway my answer is: buff Trapper, rework Skull Merchant, nerf Blight, remove Knight.

I'm biased towards Blight and because of that I didn't really see anyone else on the list who deserved to get nerfed, so I just picked a Killer I didn't really like.

These are all great maps and break up the monotony of open fields with a main building, a shack and a couple of cookie cutter maze tiles. You just refuse to adapt to change.

Please play Hillbilly on these maps and say the same thing.

  • Blight should have all of his techs (excluding the lag flick bc that requires third-party software) should be brought back.

Blight doesn't need nor deserve his hug tech being removed.

Most people over-exaggerate just how difficult it is to play Killer.

Most Killers are miserable to play against.

Adding a FNAF chapter to the game isn't going to magically make the community even worse instantly or something like that. People notice the loud minority in a community and then like to act as if it is the majority of the community.

Hillbilly should have green engraving on by default while also keeping his charge time the same.

  • In my opinion, it's Trapper mainly because of the fact that his base power is already not really that good, especially with how many maps just don't have thick grass anymore. Myers at least has the benefit of not being that map dependent and having a bit of anti-loop and lethality when he finally makes it to T3 but Trapper really doesn't have much going for him. He's a Killer that is not only very map dependent. but also very weak to callouts and just good survivors in general.

  • @BlightedDolphin said:

Even the new Red Forest maps have terrible locker spawns. Largest map in the game and yet the map has almost no lockers.

The newest maps don't really take any killer into consideration. Terrible locker spawns, Trapper has lost most of his grass, random objects placed everywhere now so killers like Hillbilly can't even traverse the map, collision is so bad that Blight slides off everything yet Wesker and Demo get caught on everything, multiple safe loops chaining into each other so M1 killers can't catch you, massive open fields so stealth killers are easily spotted, super powerful main buildings and shacks surrounded by multiple strong loops.

Their new map designs are just awful.

Man, you really hit the nail on the head. It's beyond frustrating how BHVR seemingly never takes into consideration how a map will affect any of the Killers in the game and ends up, like you said, creating a map that somehow screws everyone over. It's especially frustrating when you're playing a Killer that relies on collision because it's such a frustrating experience knowing you're not doing anything wrong, the game is just screwing you over.

I'm not defending anything. I'm merely stating what I see as a bystander. Hillbilly died three years ago. The fact that a nerf to two addons destroys him is testament to that.

Also don't throw the no offence line when you mean to offend.

"Well good then. They made his overheat less punishing while revving and tweaked a couple add-ons. A good first step."

I'm sorry but how exactly are you not defending this change? You said yourself that this was a good first step when it wasn't. I still don't understand the point you make because I could pull up an endless amount of discussions from YT or on the forums of people talking very specifically about what Hillbilly needs, but you're saying that we Hillbilly players didn't do any of that and were too nonspecific? You said yourself "As for my point, a lot of those on the forum say generic stuff like when are they going to rework Hillbilly. " But that literally isn't true. Everyone I've seen has complained about how all his add-ons suck and are extremely gimmicky, his overheating doesn't need to be a thing at all, maps nowadays having terrible collision, and his awful animations. The next logical step would be for BHVR to give him an add-on pass and rework his animations to be smoother. Then they could also consider making future maps have more consistent collision as it is not only a problem for Hillbilly, but for any Killer that relies on collision which would include Blight, Wesker, Leatherface, Twins, Demogorgon, Huntress, and Oni. And instead of doing any of that they instead screwed with overheat again which hasn't been a serious issue for a long time and nerfed his most necessary add-ons. They didn't fix his animations, they didn't buff or change the rest of his god-awful addons, nothing. These changes have done nothing but dig an even deeper grave for him, and BHVR instead of listening to community feedback sought to change things that were never an issue to begin with despite the endless amount of discussions they could check. We the community did not mess up, this is solely BHVR's mess for not listening to us.

  • @Mr_K said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3381065#Comment_3381065

Well good then. They made his overheat less punishing while reving and tweaked a couple addons. A good first step.

Yeah except the problem is that after the last overheat changes they did it become irrelevant. Rarely would it ever affect most Hillbilly players and whenever it did the overheat meter would go down fairly quickly. So the changes that they made here aren't even going to do anything besides making it more annoying to get around the map, and that's not even talking about the changes that will kill Hillbilly, the engraving addons.

No offense, but from your comments I can tell you either don't play Hillbilly or don't play him much, because if you're defending the nerf to his most important add-ons, then you don't understand the issue. You need to understand that the engraving addons are borderline necessary for good Hillbilly players because the speed difference will always mean the difference between being able to just barely pull off a curve on a loop and scoring a hit or missing the survivor. And for a Killer who gets gimped hard on most loops nowadays, every curve can mean the difference between winning a game and losing. So now that he's had his most crucial add-ons nerfed, what's left for him? Genuine question. Excluding the gravings all of his brown add-ons suck, the only good yellow he has is Dad's boots, all of his green add-ons are extremely gimmicky and rely on bringing perks for them (like how mothers helpers needs enduring to work effectively), his purple add-ons suck ass except for lopro which isn't even that strong and spiked boots which are a huge risk, and then his iridescent suck ass and even when combined are still really gimmicky.

So after all that he only has....3 add-ons which aren't even amazing, just decent. So what was the point of these changes? They just drove off any remaining Hillbilly mains whilst also attempting to bring in new players by making the overheat less punishing ignoring the fact that he is the most punishing Killer to learn, meaning that even after these changes no new player will pick him up, and even if they do once they get better with him and start facing stronger survivors they'll realize that he doesn't have the tools to deal with them effectively. Seriously answer me this, why would anyone want to play Hillbilly after these changes and not play Leatherface or Blight who are by far much better Killers than him? Who will want to play a Killer who is both extremely punishing to learn and won't have the tools to deal with good survivors?

Literally, 99% of the community from what I've seen agrees with me on this issue, you are the one outlier on this issue. In feedback and suggestions, there is a 4500-hour Hillbilly main talking about how bad these changes are, and many, many more doing the same. How are you going to tell me these changes are good for him despite people who are dedicated to this Killer saying otherwise? When huge content creators with thousands of hours in DBD are also saying the same thing?

  • @Mr_K said:

Yeah, because thats what happened. There's a thread right now from someone thats just happy Hillbilly got changes.

Do me a favor and look in the "Feedback and Suggestions" part of the forums. Do you see anybody happy with the changes to Hillbilly and if so compare that number to how many aren't happy with the changes. I seriously don't understand the point you're trying to make here. Are you saying that these changes are good or what? BHVR misunderstood what we wanted and now we want them to know that yet here you are defending them.

  • @Mr_K said:

Like I stated in another thread, this was asked for. People asked for Hillbilly changes thinking it could only be buffs. Well they were wrong.

How was this asked for? You keep framing it as if people weren't clear with what they wanted and simply just said "Hey BHVR, we want Hillbilly changes. Positive? Negative? Nah, we just want changes."

The community was very explicit about what they wanted. You had big streamers and or YouTubers like ScottJund and Otz talking about how Hillbilly needed POSITIVE changes, and you also in general had most of the community asking strictly for Hillbilly buffs. There have been so many community members who outlined what should be done, like how most of his add-ons were useless, his animations needed to be changed, the fact that many maps have screwed up hitboxes which makes it so that he gets stunned on nothing, etc. Don't defend BHVR and pin the blame on the community when we have been everything but neutral.

  • They're nerfing both the engraving addons, if anything that means that this whole change is a massive nerf to Hillbilly. The engraving addons are by far Hillbillys most important and fun addons and instead of just changing overheat they had to bring down the nerf hammer on them for no reason.

    Just a random guess.

I was gonna put it in my post that it's probably because of how much screen clutter the knight has. It's kinda weird how I'm fine with every other Killer except for him, and as for the green symbols on his left hand, I don't really seem to notice them much.

  • @MiraxGames said:

Survivors keep getting perks as base kit and I highly doubt the Burrowed Time is gonna be the last perk that becomes basekit. If the devs are starting to add more base kits perks I think its only fair Killers gets some too or at least one. I think the weaker killers need the buff and for strong killers, yes its a bit of a buff but its just information its not like its gonna make that much of a different, if anything it may make it easier for survivors to go for saves if the stronger killers are not hanging around hook area.

Other than BT being partially base kit Survivors haven't received a single perk base kit other than unbreakable which hasn't even been added to the game yet and was specifically designed so as to not make slugging 10x more powerful with the game end feature they put in. Putting in base kit perks for Killers is a terrible idea to buff them because unlike Survivors Killers vary in strength so when you make something like BBQ base kit someone like Trickster is still going to suck but Killers like Blight, Wraith, Nurse, and any other Killer with map mobility will shoot up in strength. The correct course of action is for BHVR to visit those weaker killers and buff them from there.

And information for that matter is easily the most powerful thing in the game. There's a reason why Nowhere to Hide, Lethal Pursuer, Floods of rage, and any other information perk are considered powerful and that's because they give you the exact coordinates to a survivor's position which is insanely powerful. Lethal Pursuer completely eliminates the early game phase where the Killer only has a slight idea of where the Survivors are, Floods of rage can be used to gain map-wide intelligence on where everyone is and can show the Killer where he should be (i.e. survivor unhooks survivor and now the Killer sees someone working on a gen he recently passed by, or sees someone stealing, etc.) And on that last point, most good Killers don't really camp anyways because more often than not its a waste of time, so they don't really need that extra incentive to go away anyways.

  • @MiraxGames said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3287427#Comment_3287427

    Why not?

By how many perks and buffs added to the game now, BBQ is very weak compared to those, especially with survivors having boon perks now. And gens being able to be done pretty fast because some of the new perks that has come out in the last year. I feel BBQ would be a nice boost killers need to save some precious time on looking for survivors and to feel more satisfied and rewarded with hooks.

Because by adding BBQ as base kit you not only buff the weaker Killers who aren't going to utilize it that well but Killers like Blight, Nurse, and any other Killer who has good map mobility and make them have an extra unnecessary 5th perk slot.

  • I used to play Twins a lot but ever since they got both directly and indirectly nerfed I just can't enjoy playing them anymore which sucks. Getting 5-second stuns for using my power directly and having to deal with COH and maps like eyrie of crows just make the twins a Killer too clunky for me to be able to get any fun out of. I just hope their rework comes soon enough and makes them not only fun to play but also less miserable to play against.

  • my-image.png

Yeah as you can guess most of my survivor matches end up being completely miserable. Doesn't help that for whatever reason despite Blight apparently being really popular I rarely go up against him, same for Oni and Billy.

  • A good Killer needs to have good mobility and good anti-loop in order to be considered a good Killer. If a Killer is missing one of these or lacking in one of these then chances are they aren't a good Killer. Some examples of this are Killers like Deathslinger, Trickster, and clown AKA Killers with a strong anti-loop but practically nonexistent anti-loop which lands them low on the tier list. Then you have Killers like the Dredge, Wraith, and Sadako AKA Killers who have pretty good Mobility but little to no anti loop which usually lands them higher on the tier list than Killers with anti-loop and no mobility but still aren't considered great Killers. There are also some variations to this rule like Pinhead, Plague, and Nemesis who instead of having mab mobility have other mechanics that give them map pressure, usually a mechanic that forces the survivors to do something else other than gens (cleansing, solving the box, staying away from zombies, etc) but even with that they aren't considered to be great Killers because, in the end, nothing will compare to actually being in front of the survivors face and forcing them off gens.

  • @TotemSeeker91 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/350585/deathslinger-is-the-worst-killer-in-the-game

Sadako would like a word with you, lol

And twins I guess, especially if this UB thing goes through

Main reason why I didn't say Sadako was the weakest is because she still has that slugging condemned strategy which makes her a bit better, but even with that she still sucks.

And yeah once the UB changes come along without any twins changes then they're gonna take a hard hit.

  • @Regulus47 said:

Unironically, skill issue. Deathslinger still dominates in skilled hands in the chase. Just few people are good at him.

Not even, any half decent team hurts him really bad and map RNG destroys him. Good luck playing him on RPD or any other map with lots of line of sight blockers. But by all means if it really is a skill issue then please show me proof of a really good deathslinger destroying a really good team.

  • Nope, not just you. I have a bunch of BP saved up because leveling up takes so damn long that I just prefer to hold on to the BP I get.

  • It's because, for the most part, the Dredge is a pretty underwhelming Killer. He has a really cool aesthetic and whatnot but none of that matters if your power is mediocre or bad. His anti-loop is horribly lacking as the remnant he leaves behind can be so easily countered that in most scenarios it isn't worth using. His teleport is pretty decent except for the fact that it's incredibly RNG dependent. Sometimes you'll get lockers right next to gens and other times you'll get whole sections of maps where there isn't a single Locker. And his nightfall, while a really nice ability on paper is hurt by the fact that it takes a really long time to activate and when in motion is gone quickly meaning he is heavily reliant on addons like malthinkers skull that make his power activate faster or the puppet which extends his nightfall by 20 seconds. Also forgot to mention but the Dredge is supposed to kinda be a stealth Killer but can't be one because of how extremely loud he is. Nightfalls undetectable doesn't matter because you can hear the noises he makes from miles and miles away.

He's a jack of all masters of none Killer which makes it so he's pretty good at stomping weaker teams but against survivors who know how to counter him he'll probably lose hard or minimum comes out with a 2k with some luck.

  • Personally, I think Dredge is overrated. Outside of map traversal (and even then it's heavily RNG dependent), he doesn't really have many strengths elsewhere. His chase ability is easily negated by simply holding W which means against good players he gets looped hard not to mention is heavily reliant on addons that make his nightfall activate faster.

Legion on the other hand I feel like is underrated. With his recent buffs, he's actually a pretty decent Killer who can spread pressure really easily. I'd put him in B tier above Doctor.

Demo and PHead are a bit overrated imo but other than that I agree with the rest of the list.

  • Completely agree with you on that one. Its not like I want her to get completely nuked out of the game and be made even more irrelevant but the whole slugging playstyle is just extremely unfun to go against. Matches always drag on and on for upwards of 20 minutes and having to constantly put tapes in TVs is miserable.

I believe that Sadako needs lots of buffs, but I also think she needs this playstyle taken out because I don't think it's fun for anyone in the match, Killer included.

  • "I have a good time on this map which means that everybody else complaining about this map is simply just bad at the game!!! My experience as a killer and survivor represents the entire playerbase and as such should be used as an example of why RPD shouldn't be changed!"

Have you ever considered for just a moment why a MAJORITY of the community complains about this map instead of praising it? Your in the very small minority. Its great that you find this map fun to play on but many other people including myself hate playing on his map due to the many, many different issues it has. Playing hillbilly or any other mobility killer is an instant headache on this map due to how many twists and turns it has. Ranged Killers to a slightly lesser extent also suffer on this map. The stupid amount of either God loops or worthless loops. I could go on and on but all the issues with the map have already been explained to death already.

  • As Killer, you have to deal with W holding and terrible hook spawns, and as survivor, you have to deal with the fact that it is the most killer sided map in the game (70% Kill rate btw)

  • 8 because of how awful MMR has made the game and me finding games that are just more fun. I still play the game once in a blue moon but every single match is still the same unfun sweatfest (4 DH, awful teammates, etc.)

  • I don't think a full 360 is possible with either of those characters, the closest you can get is if you lag flicked with Blight but even then i believe that only goes up to a max of 270 degrees.

  • I don't understand the posts that overexaggerate and talk about how Killer is the hardest thing in the world and how every single survivor is not only godlike but the most toxic person in the world. I think just in general the forums are a place filled with much more vocal killer mains than survivor mains. Whenever I play Killer for the most part I almost always win my games, and whenever I don't then it's usually my fault for getting tilted and screwing up, but I guess for most people it's easier to blame the game and developers for being too survivor sided than to take a step back and admit that you screwed up.

You... think he's an S-Tier killer, with the ability to injure survivors at range and a build that doesn't actually help at all with his passive?

I think he is an S-tier Killer because of how much slowdown he can have with his power as a whole. Injuring people from long range forces them into wasting time and healing or staying injured and risk the consequences later. Combined with this you have Ruin slowing down generators much more, Surge destroying any nearby generators because survivors will probably choose to stay injured, Deadlocked for extra gen slowdown, and Tinkerer to injure any healed survivor on a generator.

And about the whole perk + power synergy, Franklins is overrated on him because if you hit a survivor with the box instead of instantly picking it up like you would if you downed someone, your gonna have to sit through your cooldown and then pick it up. Those extra seconds are a waste of time and it's just better to down the person with it. Hoarder is the only one I would consider using but I've been having a really good amount of luck with the box and always being able to stop it even without it, so I don't really see much of a point to using it.

I mean if you add the best of the best Clown is also an S tier killer with the pinky finger. And a lot of his slowdown depends on him going against solo survivors, a lot of it is negated by comunication.

The reason why clown wouldn't be considered an S-tier killer is that he doesn't have any natural slowdown, he only has his bottles that can be pretty easily countered for the most part. Communication for sure weakens his slowdown but doesn't entirely stop it, you can still apply a lot of pressure by getting the box at least once.

You asked for opinions on your own opinion if you don't like the answers you get then why even ask? You asked for honesty and I was honest and you get mad about it

I'm really not trying to be rude but if you were facing really good survivors all the gens would be done in under 5 mins and you'd lose 2 or 3 gens in the first chase

Try playing vs someone like probbz or dowsey when they play survivor and tell me how good you do as Pinhead

I already know your gonna get your jimmies rustled by this reply but I'm just being real not trying to offend

No, I responded like that because I was more or less expecting a response criticizing Pinhead's power and explaining why he's not an S-tier killer, not just "You probably don't go up against good survivors lol." And no, just because I go up against really good survivors doesn't mean that every single match is just gens in 4 min, etc. The thing that helped me win that extremely stressful match on Badham was because it was a variation of the map that was really small and the fact that I found the box at the beginning of the game, thus helping me find all the survivors and injuring most of them. From there it was just a back and forth until I managed to tunnel someone out of the game and then 3k.

I think its the opinion of someone that doesn't play against really good survivors on the regular

Nice constructive criticism dude. For most of my Killers, Pinhead included, I'm usually going up against really good survivors. Just yesterday as Pinhead I had an extremely stressful match on Badham against 4 really good survivors. They all had great coordination and were individually really good survivors, but I still managed to barely get a 3k.

I don't necessarily agree he needs a buff but you are right in that he suffers greatly from pre-dropping pallets and playing mega safe

But that's half the cast at this point, Oni's weak early game is what balances out his really oppressive power so it kinda evens out? What do you think they could do to buff him?

Maybe they could make it so his passive charging is quite a bit faster or slightly increase the amount of blood you get from your M1s

Also yeah I sort of agree with you about Blight, in the sense that Blight's power is very oppressive but also has minimal cooldowns. With alchemist ring it has no cooldown, only fatigue

Yeah, I guess that's the issue, finding out exactly how to buff Oni. I used to play and main Oni until Blight came along and ever since then most of the time I play Oni it just feels really frustrating having pallets just pre-dropped and me not being able to do anything about it. I do understand where your coming from though, his power is one of the most powerful in the game, and making it easier to get is going to have a massive effect on him but at the same time it just feels so unfair when you're helpless for a good chunk of the match if the survivors don't give you an easy first hit. Maybe it's not something that can be solved by just simply changing Oni but I do feel like he deserves changes with Blight being a thing.

  • Most of the time people are looking for excuses for why they lost and refuse to admit that they either got outplayed or just played badly. It's easier to say that you're at high MMR going up against the best players ever and how the other side is OP than to admit you should've played better.

  • @PassarinoT said:

Did they not get reworked since they came out? I haven't played in a long while, but I recall seeing a leaked add-on that hinted at a rework. The add-on suggested something like Victor's pounce being fully charged would trigger a new action of some sort.

Nope, they didn't get reworked at all. Not sure whatever happened to those changed addons but I do remember it was a really long time ago.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Now I don't wanna seem insensitive and say good but that's exactly what I'm saying.

Fair enough, I absolutely hate going up against the Twins because of how they need to be played but they at least deserve to get acknowledged by BHVR with the state they're in now.

  • Doesn't change the fact that in high MMR the Twins are awful. If this was before boon totems were released then yeah, I wouldn't have put up this thread since I've always managed to get a 4k with them but now that boon totems are a thing it is really difficult to snowball.

  • Nah, obviously some Killers need buffs but Nurse and Blight? No way in hell. I've been a Blight main since the PTB and despite the fact that I win every single game I play with him, instead of encountering a ceiling where I start to lose and my MMR starts to balance out it just keeps going up and up and up. I'm not even using a full meta build either, just shadow-born, pop, deadlocked, and tinkerer alongside with at least one speed addon. He's completely fine where he is, an added buff to him would completely break his balance and turn him into an old spirit 2.0 with no counterplay. The Nurse needs to get her bugs fixed and some of her useless addons changed, other than that she does not need any buff because otherwise, the already really good Nurse players will once again be borderline unbeatable unless you're in a comp team. Spirit is fine where she is now, she doesn't need a buff.

Edit: Also forgot to mention but this game was very obviously not meant to be balanced around the extremely high MMR range and the developers already made it very clear that they do not want to balance around this level because at its core DBD is a "party" game. Not only would needing to buff every single Killer to above Nurse's level take an extraordinarily long amount of time but it would also push people away from the game because it would turn into a much more competitive game, not to mention would require a bunch of other changes to the game (Like having to enable voice chat so solo Q players don't suffer more than they already are and having to make every single map static because RNG on maps is incredibly unbalanced).

Most people from what I've seen are just casual players of DBD and turning the game into a competitive sweat fest like LoL or Overwatch would push them away from the game leading to fewer players playing DBD, leading to long queues, leading to the small portion of people still playing DBD getting fed up and leaving the game, which would eventually lead to the game dying. Now just because I said all this stuff doesn't mean I'm not saying that Killer's don't need a buff, some Killers like Trickster seriously need changes, but buffing every single Killer to above Nurses level? That's way too overkill.
