Just had this thought for fun but I wonder, if every killer in the game had an "ultimate" ability unique to them, what would each of theirs be? I'm not considering the balance side of this or anything like that, more just a fun thought of each killer having an extra unique and powerful ability that may or may not have a small downside for em after using it and whatnot, like in hero shooters. I've noticed this for a long, long time but the two cases that stand out to me the most are the Harmless Unknown and most recently, Wesker, which makes me curious because why would either of those two ever be considered for nerfs when they've slowly and surely been getting power crept as time has gone on? People like to put both those killers in A tier usually, but I never really agreed with th5 comments 191 views last activity

Been seeing this term fly around here and there and it makes me confused as to why all of a sudden some people now have it out for killers who go fast. Are there a lot of Killers who dash in the game? Yeah, I'd say so. Are there also a lot of ranged power Killers? Definitely, but I don't hear anyone coining the term "range-slop." Fun is subjective and everyone's got their own perspective, but I28 comments 1,691 views last activity

The Houndmaster was a killer I was already very skeptical of in the PTB. I felt that no matter what buffs she got, she'd still be a low-tier Killer. Lo and behold, after the chapter releases and I get to play her I'm not surprised in the slightest, unfortunately. Snug's chase is so, so wildly inconsistent and mediocre it makes me question how the devs thought it was ok. Snug barely feels he can p12 comments 1,602 views last activity

Over the past year and a half DBD has received a lot of balance changes, and not only that but as more passes on Survivors get better at the game which I feel has changed a lot of Killers' positions in the tier list. Killers who were previously seen as really great have been power crept or nerfed while some Killers who were seen as good but not great have been made very powerful. I'm curious to see what people have to say about the Knight. Since the most recent time he's been changed I haven't played him a single time because I just don't enjoy him all that much anymore. I have nothing against complicated Killers, in fact, I really tend to love them a lot more than simple Killers but the Knight feels like there has been so many unnecessary things added to his kit that mak3 comments 91 views last activity

There's no denying that most people in DBD absolutely despise the SM, and rightfully so. Her first power iteration was so bad it forced the devs to add an entirely new game mechanic, and her rework kept all the worst parts about her while only removing her heavy 3 gen potential which means that she was still incredibly frustrating to play. Would a map ban feature be healthy for the game? I was thinking that if they were to hypothetically add this feature each Survivor would be allowed 1 map they could pick to ban before a round begins and the Killer would be allowed to either ban a whole realm altogether or 4 maps to compensate. The map bans trump map offerings meaning if someone did bring a map offering and that map was banned it'22 comments 421 views last activity

Now that Singularity has been massively buffed he's easily one of my favorite Killers to play. He feels great to play and feels powerful without also feeling powerless sometimes like he was before all the buffs. However now that he's been buffed he no longer takes the crown for being one of the most frustrating Killers to play which now unfortunately leaves Unknown to take that crown. Title. Curious to see what people would want changed for each Killer in 2v8! I'd change Blight by making old Blighted rat and crow base kit while also making his cooldown shorter.6 comments 191 views last activity

GG Hillbilly mains, we ate well for a few months before BHVR decided to put him in their scopes again. It was nice being able to play this character with how nice he felt, but alas nothing lasts forever. See you guys back in C tier Hillbilly arc.30 comments 601 views last activity

I haven't heard anyone talk about this nerf to Knight but before this rework to Knight, his guards could easily find people even if they were hiding behind a few objects making it so unless they were completely out of view from the guards they would be spotted and chased. Now? If they don't have at least 90% visibility on the Survivor they will refuse to chase them for some reason. That means s3 comments 161 views last activity

I'm not one to usually complain about this problem, but now that basically every viable gen regression perk has been nuked from orbit what can I do against really gen efficent teams? I've noticed how fast the gens are flying in my games with some Killers, so what am I missing? Even if the teams I go against are mediocre in chase all they have to do is hold W and go to a few tiles and that's eno52 comments 1,054 views last activity

Now don't get me wrong, there are a lot, and I do mean a lot of buffs they can give his power to make it not bad, but at the end of the day what kills him for a lot of people and what stopped me from playing him more is the terrible locker spawns on most maps. Dredge's power is the most RNG-dependent in the game and unlike someone like Trapper who also has to deal with Trap RNG, dredge's power c7 comments 142 views last activity

Scourge Pain Res is still a pretty good perk despite the nerf, however, PGTW is pretty terrible now leaving us with only one truly good gen regression perk, that being the former. Unlike all the other previous meta shake-ups there are no more gen regression perks to lean on, no secret underutilized perk that will now be catapulted to meta status like Call of Brine and Eruption after Ruin and Undy41 comments 1,672 views last activity

Title. When I say exhausting Killers, I mean Killers that are usually very punishing to play and extremely strict with their power, whether it be placement or anything else. From what I've seen and played some of the easiest examples are Singularity and Unknown. Because at least every other Killer is in a functioning state at minimum. The Knight is so buggy, unpolished, and addon-dependent that it really should be a crime for him to even exist at this point. Not saying I condone it at all, but when nearly every SM player I've come across has consistently played scummy then how is anyone surprised when people instantly DC/Suicide against her? When her drones are so easy to use to completely shut down an area and hold a 3 gen consistently, requiring communication in a game that mostly comprised of solo queuers to break, then is it any surprise when she9 comments 291 views last activity

Not including the double iri addons for Blight which make him the strongest Killer in the game, I think that Hillbilly at his strongest is a much better Killer than Blight now. Above all else Blight needs his speed add-ons, he's just not a good enough Killer without them so when they ended up not only hard nerfing those add-ons but also removing one of the techs that he needed to get hits on ce14 comments 453 views last activity

So every form of Blight's 180-degree flicks and slide tech have been patched out effectively gutting him in terms of fun even though it wasn't overpowered. If the Dev's reasoning behind this is that it wasn't intended, why then is Oni's 180 degree flick still in the game? Why can Wesker continue to have his own slide tech? Better yet, why does Hillbilly still have his flick? That was never intend35 comments 1,331 views last activity

Title. I've always thought about how exactly BHVR can balance out gen regression whilst adding things to the base kit to make killers less reliant on gen regression perks, but I just can't see a solution to this issue at all. At first, I thought that the most popular gen regression perks should be nerfed a bit and the useless ones should be buffed, but then that just creates a scenario where peo4 comments 111 views last activity

I'm curious since most people aren't really a fan of his reworked form because of how generic he is and I've always seen a decent amount of people who used to play Freddy back in the day saying they hope he could be reworked into something like his 1.0 version. So if you could, how would you make a Freddy 3.0?22 comments 411 views last activity

Seriously, going up against this Killer is easily the least fun experience in the game, and that's saying something considering the Twins still exist. The fact that this Killer has a 70 percent Kill rate it shows just how badly this Killer needs to be reworked, overshadowing practically everybody else except for Freddy. And before anyone says, I know that the kill rate is inflated due to the mass29 comments 422 views last activity

Seriously how has this exploit not been fixed yet? By just crouching you can easily invalidate a lot of Killer powers in the game, especially if it's Hillbilly, Demogorgon, or Blight. You'd think by now with how stupidly easy it is to pull it off that it can be easily patched, but I guess we're still in the era of DBD where exploits take 2 years to fix.26 comments 1,003 views last activity

Personally for me I'd like it if BHVR added: -Customizable stats, like what if you could change the Killers lunge speed/distance or how fast they went? And on a more complicated aspect maybe we could also change Killer abilities instead of their general stats, for example, imagine if you could make Hillbillys chainsaw twice as fast, Huntress Hatchets be so fast they might as well be hit scan, or14 comments 171 views last activity

I want your guy's opinion on these perk ideas that I came up with. My biggest issue with DBD for a while now is how BHVR never seems to add perks that truly impact the game. I can understand why they don't as every time they add in a new seemingly strong perk it gets yelled at a lot, but even so, I feel like they can do much better than what they do now, but enough of that. He's a fine enough B-tier Killer I guess, but I dunno, I kinda expected more out of him. His teleports are pretty nice when placed in good locations and if you bring the brown addon it even becomes a pretty good anti-loop ability. Other than that though his main ranged power is a mixed bag, on one hand, it has a pretty great amount of potential and if the stars align you can get hits through wall32 comments 1,991 views last activity

Go ahead, play Hillbilly on this map. It doesn't matter what build your using, or how much skill you have, you WILL lose against survivors who have at least two brain cells. At least Lerys has long hallways, RPD is nothing but misery for everyone in this game, so why is it still in DBD? Trickster on the PTB very clearly had a few issues that were thankfully ironed out, but as they took out the things that made him overpowered BHVR for some reason found it necessary to completely butcher him and do changes no one asked for...why? I know this is an extremely unpopular opinion and practically no one really agrees with me, but I really wish 180 flicks would return for both Oni and Blight. Was it balanced? No, not really, but was it fun and satisfying? Absolutely. Hell, even as Survivor I still kinda enjoyed going up against people who used 180 flicks back in the day since I'd usually be able to predict it. But anyways what'16 comments 611 views last activity

Mobility Killers ( Especially Hillbilly) get absolutely destroyed on the new map because of how cluttered it is, Ranged Killers suffer greatly due to how many line-of-sight blockers there are, Dredge suffers because a third of the map is a barren wasteland with no lockers, M1 Killers get destroyed by the sheer amount god pallets and vaults this map has, Cenobite suffers because of how gigantic18 comments 341 views last activity

What is the design philosophy around Killer addons? Seriously, the number of inconsistencies Killers have with their add-ons is insane. On one hand, you have Killers like Blight who have amazing add-ons, some of which could even be considered overpowered. Then on the other hand you have Killers like Pyramid Head who have almost nothing to work with at all. It makes no sense to me why a Killer lik11 comments 281 views last activity

Man, when I saw that Hillbilly was finally receiving changes I was really excited! Finally, Hillbilly would receive changes and wouldn't be considered a dead Killer anymore! Maybe he'll finally get an addon pass again or at the bare minimum have a couple of his addons changed! Maybe they'll make him feel smoother and finally fix his animations. Wasn't the whole point of the map reworks to not only apply a fresh new coat of paint on maps that were very old but more importantly rebalance those maps to be fairer? So then why are BHVR continuing their awful trend of releasing god-awful maps that are just going to have to be reworked in the future? Seriously at least for the Jailer, I guess you could make some argument for him only being able to chase for a very short duration but there isn't an excuse for the Assassin. I want to see if there's a common trend on which Killers people like going up against and which people don't like to go up against. Every Killer has at least 1 niche to them, even Killers considered to be the weakest in the game (Trapper, Freddy, etc) have at least one playstyle that can help them not suck as much. The one exception to this rule however is Deathslinger. Not only does Deathslinger have no alternative playstyle or tech that can help him not suck as much but overall as a Killer all the tools he has are so, so da17 comments 1,181 views last activity

I've always wondered why the Devs always seem to be so incredibly inconsistent with Killer add-ons. On one hand, you have Killers like Artist and Phead who have mostly awful addons with one a very select few that are actually useful, then you have other Killers like Blight whose add-ons are almost all extremely good with only a couple here and there that are bad. I feel like people are freaking out about this change way too early, no one has even got a chance to test it yet people are already on their way to writing 400 forum posts claiming that BHVR only cares about the Survivor side. I'm not sure if I'm just incredibly unlucky or something but Jesus christ man, I think Solo Queue is in the worst state it's ever been in. Another match, another hacker. I usually always give the dev's a benefit of the doubt and will sometimes defend them on certain issues (I don't believe that they don't care about killers, it just doesn't make sense) but a lot of the time they make it really difficult to not get angry at them. As if playing solo queue isn't miserable enough now snowmen are added into the mix leading many people into going inside of one and doing absolutely nothing the entire game.
