Sorry amigo,wrong dog to fight.My timing is perfect and i said there were a couple instances,not all the time.Not that this game is bug free and everything working as intended right?
Well getting the blind and not stunning sounds like a timing problem to me. Sure bugs are common but I havnet had any issues.
-
Smh how did you miss the 4 survivors running in a circle at 5 seconds in smh my head. /s
-
Definetly better and way more fun to play but still a bit on the weaker end but I dont mind.

Yes there's something fishy with flashlights,i had a couple bizzare misses as well where it shouldn't miss at all,no lightborn.I got the blind but not the stun.
again learn flashlight timings you cant just shine as soon as they start picking up.

But surely if they get blinded they should get stunned and drop the survivor? I wouldn't of posted this discussion if I wasn't given the "killer blind" in the corner.
nope you can mess up the timing and get killer blind. Thats what messing up the timing is its bliding the killer to quickly before their animation is finished so they are still blinded but wont drop.

That made me laugh. Have I just not seen other people post this pic?
Yeah I stole it off someone in the discord before I got banned who stol it off someone else. I dont have a clue who the OP was but this is such a funny img and I love it so much.
-
well if you blinded them and they didnt get stunned you obviously didnt get the timing right. I swear there was someone like a week ago complaining about flashlights being broken when they didnt even know timing existed.
-
Yes this map is awful with the pallets gone the thing is if the survivors are at all competent they will have all gens done and be tbaging at the gates by the time you get rid of them.
-
I like them on launch but all the bugs put me off them and now I have been messing around with blight, trickster and survivor but now they are getting a nerf next patch so I will be even less liekly to play them.

So, I should avoid Haddonfield, Bedham, Gideon Meat Plant, Coldwind Farm, Backwater Swamp, Midwitch Elementary, the Lery Memorial Institute, and Ormond.
That leaves just so many options to choose from if I want a fair game. Thank you, BHVR. Thank you so much.
I would say just play McMillan but then there is groaning which is an infinite, I would say autohaven but azerovs and gas heaven, dont even get me started on coldwind, red forest is thiccer than huntress' hatchet hitbox, Asylum would be decent but sometimes chapel gets like 3 god windows soooo, Yamaoka arent too bad just a bit big, hawkins is just unfun, Saloon is good and my favourite map and that is just about all the maps. So your options are yamaoka or saloon :)

SImple solution is hatch only spawns when 1 survivor is left or when all generators are completed

How would you buff killers?
reducing killer cooldowns, powers stronger, nerfing maps, pallets take less time to kick, better totem spawns, nerfing survivor perks, increasing the gen req, making gens require more traversal and less holding m1, hell even buff killer movement speeds the list just kinda goes on and on the is like infinite ways to make killers stronger.
-
Yes and no, casual players are the life of every game but they should not balance around them. You should balance around the top first then make sure it also works for casuals because a killer might be balanced against 4 god survivors but completely destroys solo casuals or a perk might be fair at higher levels of play but rediculous at low levels.
-
Is this on the PTB?
-
Buff solos to SWF level then buff killers. Its that simple imo.

Balanced landing. being able to take advantage of the reduced stagger without wasting the speed boost would be amazing
That is literally old balanced so pls no. I meant if you were to do it with blanaced you could fall as if you didnt have the perk.
-
They tied it to what makes you bonk when you swing, if you miss you wont bounce if you're weapons bounces off you will bonk too.
-
Already a great perk no need for buffs.

I would rather go against 100 spirits of equal skill level to me in a row than keep being matched with survivors who can't run a legion for literally more than 10 seconds.
in before it doesnt matter and teammates IQ is still lower than my self esteem
-
I normally have already found it cause I am a hungry little nancy.
-
Pray she is bad :)
-
Can you say tunneling exists then. You are just doing your objective efficiently.
-
In terms of strength SoloQ < Killer < SWF
-
trickster isnt the worst anymore
-
All good except 1 game where I got fractured and it was all long walls. Every single tile was a long wall. There is nothing but pain, suffering and longwalls.

Yeah thats happened to me before also maps with like 4 pallet gyms and nothing else

Why do survivors blame slugging or holding a 3gen. Both sides sound just as dumb when they say it.

Here's how I think it's going to go:
- We will need to lose our time watching TTVs Fog Whispere's to get codes for cosmetics
- Probably some "exclusive" head cosmetic of the famous "noed eyes" for the Trickster or Killers who still don't have it
- Re-used assets of the 4th anniversary for Gens, Hooks and the Lobby.
- Some free BP's and shards.
- The same items in the bloodweb from the past 4th anniversary too.
It's hard to imagine a good event coming from then. I will never forget one of the best events they did, which was the Hallowed Blight.
They said they are only going to focus on important events, and this one is a BIG ONE, it's the anniversary of DBD, how much important that can be? If this event is going to be dull and simple, then we can already expect that the others "important" event will just be worse.
yep thats probably what it will be
-
Welcome to DBD

WDYM scummy? its kinda vague. I do thinkk that trickster with pierce and either bouncing for the basement or the usb for normal hooks might be like the 3rd best facecamper behind Bubba and PH

I guess connection problem personally. He already left and on your screen he just stood there
Happened to me once, all of the sudden my connection went dog #########, a survivor wanted to mock me on the hatch like 80 meters away, I downed him and hooked him and all of the sudden I got teleported back to the spot where my connection went bad
idk man he looks too far away to get to the gate and he vaults the pallet. I bet it was a teleport hack.
-
It depends. Some people will tunnel and facecamp you just because you are a streamer but I always check them out and if their content looks good Ill drop a follow and I am sure other people are like this too. Be careful though some people will probably streamsnipe you and if you are playing like trapper or hag it will be painful.

If the guy on the ground had UnbreakaBill he could've recovered faster than people could heal him. Or he could've had two people healing him. 15 seconds is enough time.
yeha I realise that now it just feels way shorter since I literally og and hook a person I downed super close and he is back up. https://youtu.be/E6s8Pq9O8vs

I hope so--but theres also a ton of great humanoid killer's in literature still to pull from as inspiration.
That said... I've been wanting to see a Lovecraftian killer for some time now.
TBH I think Blight and Entity will be the closest thing to lovercraftian horror we will get. The whole point of lovecraftian horror is it being unconprhensable and a lot of them are on like a cosmic scale so you cant really make a killer in DBD be that. Blight is meant to be the kinda person gone mad by powers they cannot comprehend trope and the entity will probably be the closest thing to a lovecraftian being in it.

@TicTac said:
If someone healed him the entire 15 seconds its possible.
like 3 seconds of that I was still above him swinging my weapon and as I walked away there was no noise as if someone was healing him
-
@Hoodied said:
A normal heal is 16 seconds if I am correct, (Feel free to correct me)
If 2 people are healing him it heals really fast, if greats are hit then its even faster
yeah youre right but this felt really weird when it happened. It felt like I legit hit him and he was back up like if it took 15 seconds i was still in my weapon animation for 3 of that and as I walked away there was 0 healing noise.
-
@Dimek said:
We're gonna live forever?
nope they had 0 healing perks.

remember he is not hitscan and you have to be very accurate. His hitbox is small so it isnt even close to as forgiving to huntress and he isnt actually hitscan its the same speed as a fully charge huntress hatchet. Also you dont always have to use your power for hits, aim it at windows or pallets so survivors run away from there or if they kepe running just take the easy shot.

E-sports.
by all means, they seem eager to make the game 'esports ready' even though as meager as the mechanics and objectives are atm it won't pan out
I always found it hilarious how community tourneys have to balance the game themselves by not letting people use like half the perks addons and items let alone making sure its on a balanced map. I love community tourneys but I think this goes to show how ######### the balance in this game is

I liked Scott Jund’s idea where the teammates communicate through a text system that has the options of what to communicate limited. It fixes the lack of communication issue and it won’t be too OP.
In Scotts video there is nothing thats meant for the killers to compensate and its still much worse than a SWF. The issue lies in it not being too OP. SWF is OP so if you every want solo to reach that levels it also needs to be OP thats why killers also need to be buffed to be OP aswell as solo. If everything is OP nothing will be OP anymore.
-
@GannTM said:
Look, I get it, it can be frustrating going against a team that has an advantage as big as being able to communicate. Trust me, I’ve had my fair share of frustrating moments as killer. However, that doesn’t mean it’s the right move to gut SWF.
I would assume that the majority of people that are for a SWF nerf enjoy killer. Well, if you take away the feature of playing with friends, then it will eventually reach a point where there will be no more killer gameplay to enjoy. Why? Because part of the reason of DBD’s success is being able to play with friends. If you take that away, a lot of survivors will just quit the game, killer que times will be super long, and DBD’s death will come sooner rather than later.
A much better solution to fixing the issues SWF has would be to buff solo q and to buff all the killers that need one. Maybe even give every killer something they can do to traverse the map faster and more precisely. There’s a lot that needs to be done to balance everything out but butchering SWF is not the answer to it.
Honestly even though I am a killer main that thinks SWF is pretty OP I have the complete opposite idea. Since stopping people playing with friends is a really stupid idea just buff the ######### out of solo Q(my idea was a ping system, voice, text, mapwide bond and aura perks are shared) then just buff the ######### out of killers. This game is in a bad position as it is neither balanced around solo or SWF its desperatly trying to do both and failing miserably so neither is balanced. Just decide you want to balance around SWF and buff everything up to that level

People are allowed to do that.
Yea, the theoretical sandwich buying person looks like a goofball for doing it, but looking like a goofball isn't bannable on these forums or a crime in most places.
I don't condone hook suicide against facecamping myself, but if someone does suicide and doesn't like facecamping, I think they should be free to explain their position. Afterwards you can then debate the point(s) they're making.
You're free to disagree with them, but I don't think their actions automatically invalidate any possible arguments they could make.
People are allowed to do it but it still boggles me how they can complain about something that they are contributing too. You might aswell get an insiduos basement camping bubba to start complaining about facecamping.
-
@TheRockstarKnight said:
I mean, suiciding against a facecamper isn't someone's tacit approval of facecamping.
Yea, they are actively hindering their team by suiciding, but they doesn't mean they aren't allowed to complain that facecamping isn't fun to go against.
This is like saying someone who throws away a gross sandwich they bought can't complain that the sandwich was gross. "You didn't eat the whole sandwich, you have no right to complain."
Now, complaing doesn't make BHVR/the sandwich shop obligated to respond to their complaints. It doesn't even mean the sandwich is unequivocally gross and needs changing.
But people are allowed to complain, civilly, about an aspect of the video game/sandwich that they find unenjoyable.
Especially on here.
Forums are intended for discourse. If people are breaking the rules they should get warned and then banned, if they aren't they should be free to say their piece.
Yeah but its like even though you dislike it you keep saying to the sandwich makers "good job keep it up let me buy another". I think people have every right to complain about facecamping if they stay in the game so your team can escape but if you are suiciding while getting facecamped then you dont have a valid point when you are the reason people facecamp.
-
@aroell said:
Why not? It’s a very unpleasant experience. I also have every right to complain.
I mean you made the facecamper win you literally helped them by suiciding. You are more annoying than the actual facecamper and have no right to complain about them facecamping when you made them win because of it. If they always win by facecamping cuase people suicide why would they ever stop.
