At the most, I question their QC, inability to curb toxic behavior, and version control. But never had a reason to hate them for anything. The worst thought I have is that I think Cote is a walking meme machine, but i love him anyway.

a legacy player thinks shack is an infinite? goodness
Before the vault changes and window blockers were put in play, it indeed was an infinite.
Imagine a time where survivors could run along a wall and still fast vault - hell they could fast vault standing still. Imagine a time where they could be vacuumed to a window from a meter away. Remember we also had a time with no window blockers.
Those were from the "Dark Days" I keep referring to. When survivor cues were 15 minutes because only newbies and true masochists played killer.

Eh? DS is actually in a good spot right now. #########

Which map(s) would you say are a 'good size' for killers right now?
Maps are more than about size actually.
Does anybody here consider Sheltered Woods to be Survivor sided? Did you know it's tied for second largest map in the game? But, because it's so open with low pallet counts and wide open areas making vision on the map easy - and killer's like Billy have a field day on it.
But other larger maps that share the same size such as Rotten Fields or Blood Lodge are a nightmare for killers. Asarov's Resting Place has a simular number of tiles but it's squished in such a way that the killer actually has a pretty good fighting chance if they know how to herd survivors around.
Most map design issues have to do with the loops themselves and how they interlock with each other. Strides have been made to make more and more of the longer loops balanced - but more work is to be done.

Where did you get your medical license? Because in my professional opinion, Doc is fine.

People tend to rate the hardest killers lower than they deserve. Happens with Hag, Trapper, and Clown the most.
Agreed, they're often underestimated.
Hell, I know a certain Trapper main that tears up survivors at rank 1 on a regular basis.
-
And we should care..... why?
Gen rush the guy and rank past him. It's just 1 game... less than 10 minutes out of your life.
-
I'd prefer it without the music myself, but this thread is evidence that perhaps a background music slider so that people can choose the volume for themselves would be a good idea
-
Actually, been with this game since The Last Breath. While I've taken lots of frequent breaks to clean myself of the toxic cesspit that is this game's community, I've always been in touch of what's going on.
But maybe we need a return to the dark times that was the period between The Last Breath and Of Flesh And Mud to give you guys some ######### perspective.
-
God, this community. /facepalm
-
And the loud "BANG" coupled with the visual feedback of looking down wasn't feedback enough?

I think the point is more that we didn't even get to see how Ghost face does at high ranks and they are already planning on nerfing him.
Fair point, but it was pretty evident to me in the PTB that it was hard to pull him out of his ability when you were actively being chased - so the nerf makes sense to me.
-
There's 3 other catagories you could be working to make up for your crap teammates man. The benevolence emblems are one of the few ones that have been done right, leave it alone.
-
Listen, I prefer killer and main it, but play both sides.
And I think y'all might actually be overreacting, just chill and see how it plays out.

Ghostface's exposed status effect is replaced with Deep Wounds.
I'll admit, I laughed
There is something very BE about that being a thing.
-
I'll wait and see how it plays out before I decide. I suspect people are overreacting.
EDIT - Downvotes for being reasonible eh? Thanks for proving all the suvivor apologists right and making this look like a killer echo-chamber. FFS, get a grip guys.
-
That would be so OP that people would hunt down the totems with such a vengence it would already make the Hexes we have useless.
-
If you had suggested this before the End Game Collapse had dropped, I would of been behind this.
But now that EGC is here, we have no need of this.
-
Ah, but when you get those SWF's that just want to meme - the game is so entertaining.
I still wonder what that Leatherface thought when he caught my friends and I crouch walking around a hook nodding up and down before we scattered the moment he revved the chainsaw....
-
spamming the space bar on this game has worn my space bar down so much it's now popping off with regularity. Of course my keyboard is 2 years old, but still.....
Gonna have to get some superglue I guess....
-
As a killer, I've had the game freeze up 3 times now while loading a match - one of which I had a BPS in play ><

Why are kills so heavily focused on when it comes to balance when it doesn't mean a whole lot when it comes to actually winning AKA PIPing? I could probably pull decent kills with all of the killers if that were the goal but it would trash my score.
Your argument would hold weight if the Emblem system wasn't such GARBAGE right now.
So back to going for kills for me. Preferably 2 or more.
-
That's okay, on my second outing with Legion a couple weeks back I drew the school for a map. One of them was damn good, so I worked on the weaker 3 and finally cornered the strong player during the EDC.
Got a 4 man with 2 generators left, but somehow I'm still a "Trash Killer".
People deflect, it's nothing to lose sleep over
-
Because people think that when you kill their pixels mercilessly that you've beat the snot out of them and their dog and their mama in real life.
-
Agreed
Agitation makes it harder to body block you by beating you to the hook, and you spend less time NOT chasing people.
-
I'm not sure why anybody would downvote you, Tsulan - I think you're one of the more reasonable ones here.
-
You don't need aggressiver perks, just slug the second to last person than hunt that ######### down.
If you can hook him next to the hatch so he can watch as you let the last person go, even better.
I've done this actually, the laughter from teammates as I collect the salt was one of my favorite DBD experiences.
-
I love this game - but this community - ho boy.
It got so bad that after a particularly bad day I escaped to No Man's Sky, discovered the most corrosive and toxic planet I've ever seen (complete with teleporter) and decided to name it in honor of the community. (I really should reinstall and finish the base I was putting up)
I take frequent breaks from this game. Last one started in October and now I play every couple weeks.
I love the game to death - but I just can't stand the players. Not enough has been done to clean this ######### up.
If we didn't have streamers like TheEntityLeftHand who keeps things chill and friendly to remind me there was good folks in this community, I would of left it a long time ago.
-
I use them as fast as I get them. Even if I'm destroyed, it's still more points than I would of got without them.
I never expect people to go easy. You have zero control over what others do, why get worked up over it.
-
I hate hags as well, she's the reason I run Urban Evasion on the survivor i used most.
The few times I play her though, she get some rather large amounts of salt. Two situations that stand out are
- I run Devour Hope on her - and I had a team so determined to take that totem out they got nothing done until I eventually destroyed them. Was called out for "Camping my totem". Co'mon folks, seriously? You aren't doing gens, why the ######### should I leave?
- Had a game get down to the wire, two people were still alive when the gates opened. Managed to down them both. Got one to the hook then picked up the other one inches from making it out the the open gate and hooked her as well. The amount of entitled screaming I got for being a try-hard from that was pathetic.
-
Somebody on the survivor team disconnecting when the game is loading when 3 survivors and the killer put streamers into play.
-
I actually play both sides and I think certain people just can't comprehend that they might be just unable to comprehend the game past a certain level.
-
With sheer number of perks this game has now, I'd say we're better off just removing perk tiers completely at this point.
-
I suspect we'll be seeing more Object of Obsession and Premonition being run to be honest. They do a much better job telling you where the killer is.
Possibly people using keys with aura-reading addin's as well.

you mean the days when everyone sucked at the game and true infinites existed? good times
There was a short amount of time that I got to play in the game where people hadn't made the connection that infinites exist yet.
But yes, we all sucked - I won't argue that.
Then the dark times came, and killer's stopped playing almost completely save for a few of us die-hard fools.
-
I get the distinct impression that certain people in this thread just don't know how to make a read on a player at even a fundamental level which is why they find the Spirit difficult to play against.
Human beings are creatures of habit, and a great majority of us have these habits so ingrained that they are noticable to those who are paying attention. That's what makes certain people who play spirit and Nurse so damn good - they can make those reads. And the people who are best at countering them are those with the same ability.
You can't really explain this to people who don't have the ability to notice the patterns - they just aren't wired that way (and we shouldn't be deriding them for lacking this ability). We can only take solice in that the devs have no plans to touch this fine killer any time soon.
-
I blame 3 factors.
- People can't accept that they ######### up
- Certain toxic influences were allowed to exist for too long
- game is terribly balanced and encourages cocky and toxic behavior.
-
I don't know about often, but I think most people agree the minimum distance certainly needs to be adjusted

Ping shouldn't go from 100 or better at start of lobby, to red >300 once the game starts. period.
You are obviously trolling or completely ignorant that a maxed out CPU will fail to process network packets in a timely manner. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that maintaining a lobby takes less CPU time then computing a chase.
-
I love how so many people didn't even read the original post and assumed it was about hook camping.
-
I also agree with the sentiment of playing both sides. It'll make you a better player overall as you'll understand the limitations of the game's perks and killer abilities.
You'll also learn how to spot if somebody is running a certain perk based on certain behaviors.
-
I actually report farming myself as it puts people in ranks they do not deserve and we already got too many entitled little twirps out there as it is.
Either go in with the expectation to give it your all and possibly get destroyed in the process, or don't log in.
Yes, that means I've just put a big ass target on my back for every killer out there. I have this to say - BRING IT!
-
Taking a break is good advice, it's done me wonders every time I've walked away from it and come back refreshed.
I'm coming back again slowly with the knowledge that no matter what I play, we will never be rid of the loud and obnoxious ones who deflect their every inadequacy and failings onto others. Now I just need to learn to rise above it while maintaining my sanity.
Interesting i would talk about Sanity but main the Doctor....
-
Myers still has his place and is well-beloved by both survivors and killers right now. He has a better lunge and handles windows better.
Ghostface might be preferred for competitive players, but I suspect Myers will still see plenty of action.
-
I miss the days where looping wasn't a thing and the chases were more dynamic.
But we make due with what we have and deal. I won't hesitate to loop as a survivor and don't fault others doing so.
Frankly, I much prefer to try and remain completely unseen by the killer myself.
-
Eh, some people just don't have enough imagination to suspend disbelief no matter what you do. I stopped trying with those folks.
Besides, Gameplay>Realism.
Games are for escaping reality, anyway.
-
One word - Spinechill
And it's not even a perk that counters just her - it's useful against every single killer in the game. Hell, it used to be meta before all these damn second chance perks were dropped and everybody decided to become loop jockey's.
-
If only there was more than one exit
Hey wait a second.....
-
The points of my adversary is not my concern and nor it should be.
EDIT - LOL @ the vote down. I'm sorry kiddo, this game doesn't hand out participation ribbons. Welcome to grown-up games where there's a winner and a loser - deal with it.
-
You seem to have this game confused with F13.... which is trash
