So basically you're accusing the devs of bias?
If you think they're biased, you're delusional.
-
Naming and shaming is against forum rules and will get you a forum ban. Please don't make yourself an undeserved victim by keeping those names out. All you're doing is feeding those losers an undeserved victory.
-
Of all the things we've crucified the devs about, you have to talk about the graphics.... really? That's the hill you guys wanna die on?
Frankly, they can keep the graphics as-is as long as they continue to focus on improving the actual gameplay that was ass for so long.
My first thought when I saw the trailer was not how the characters looked, it was my utter amazement they managed to pry the rights out of Konami's grubby fingers

Playing As
I have the most fun as the Doc, this hasn't changed since he was released. Insanity has always fascinated me, and it has touched parts of my family (talking to people who don't exist, depression, paranoia, ect). I'm the type of person who doesn't run from my darkness - explore it and get to know it as self-awareness is the path to improvement. So it's no surprise I'd be drawn to a killer who revels in his madness and makes it his weapon.
Killer I hate playing the most... toss up between Nurse and Ghostface right now. I don't like the Nurse's headbobs and I'm just not feelin' it with Ghostface.
Playing AGAINST
I like facing other Docs for the reasons I listed above in "playing as", but there's also a bit of personal pride. As he's my main, I can't consider myself a good main unless I can perform well AGAINST him and demonstrate I recognize his weak points. So the rare game where I get him is a joy for me because I get to put it to the test.
I still absolutely hate facing Hags. Her traps scare the absolute crap out of me and really throw me off my game.
-
Interesting perk interplay I hadn't considered there.
-
I've personally stopped using Self-Care for the moment as an experiment. I run Bond anyway, so it's not like it's hard for me to find somebody to heal me.
But frankly, this whole attitude that "Self Care Sucks" makes zero sense to me. It's only a 50 percent decrease in heal time. Sure, another person can heal you in half the time, but I think people fail to realize that's now TWO people not getting anything done. In man-hours lost, it equal the same amount of time as one person self-caring. Time wasted is not a good justification to not use it - it's the same man-hours either way.
-
And I just faced a team that I was nice to and got spit on with toxic chat afterwords, your point?
Some matches suck, some don't. Shrug it off and move on already.
-
If you can't handle playing against a certain player/perk/killer/tactic for 10 minutes, you have no business playing multiplayer games, PERIOD
-
I guessed you missed the part where maps not listed may be revised later?
-
i've said it once and I'll say it again - the original keys and Mori's were more expensive and appeared in a much different bloodweb which took considerably longer to get through. Frequency of both was only 1 per level and we had more than twice the nodes to go through.
I feel like the frequency of both is too common in this new ecosystem. I don't have a problem with them existing, just how many of them there are. Unfortunately, it feels like the cat is already out of the bag and now the game is flooded with them, so we're left with finding ways to curb them. For example, requiring the Ebony Mori to get a certain number of hooks before it activates.
-
People need to stop worrying about what people slot for perks, PERIOD
Play the game as you'd like, and stop worrying how other people play it.
-
What killer rule book? Oh, there is none
There is only the scrubs rulebook as outlined by scrubs. Scrubs can play killers and survivors, but they are still scrubs.
There is no survivor or killer rulebook.
-
The gun itself cannot down you, only wound. It's real power is the ability to pull you out of position, scorpian-style which survivors have some agency in fighting back against.

Or, I've seen how reactionary everyone is to changes and like 95% of the changes the devs have done have been so far from as awful as the forums will say they will be that I'm more inclined to trust the devs over someones reactionary statement.
I find myself in agreement with SenzuDuck
World has gone all upside down XD

If you get pulled out of games often, perhaps you have no business playing multiplayer games to begin with...
-
I was there for the dark days... when there was never any hooks up ever because they were all sabod... and slugging was a firmly entrenched meta.
So Sabo was nerfed into oblivion and hardly used - but used just enough to remind us what would happen if it wasn't rebuffed carefully.
And it's been rebuffed - make no mistake. If you can't see this, you are either blind or just being willfully ignorant.

NERF? Are you KIDDING? It's a MASSIVE MASSIVE buff.
Like hook sabo is what made me quit playing dead by daylight for over a year way back before the last changes, and they are basically going to bring it back bigger than ever.
This could literally kill the game for me and my interest in it entirely, and you call it a nerf @_@
Easy there. Back in the dark days we didn't have respawning hooks, or hangman's trick.
Not to mention the slug meta is still very very effective. We still have all our old tools we used to handle those dark days on top of the new ones I've already mentioned. Let it play out - sabo needed help anyway.

You fail to understand that killer's are supposed to break survivor toolkits in some way. Some of them break or cut-off loops (Trapper, Nurse, Huntress), some break their ability to sense by terror radius (Myers, Ghost Face), yet others have incredible map mobility (Hillbilly, Hag, Oni)
Breaking stealth is also a thing, or have you forgotten that Doc pretty much DELETES STEALTH?
I prefer stealth myself, but I've learned to accept that sometimes I will be pulled outside my comfort zone by the doc and the plague, why haven't you?
-
People need to accept that utilizing game mechanics is not toxic and move on with their lives.
-
DS does have counterplay, it's called not picking up the survivor.
Leaving somebody bleeding on the ground is viable counterplay as it pulls people off generators longer.
Honestly, I used to be somebody who used to jokingly call DS "Abusive Strike" - right now it's in the best condition it ever has been in, leave it alone.
-
Because, believe it or not, it's possibly more efficient to heal yourself than steal generator time from a teammate in most situations
Ponder the following...
Self care is at 50 percent heal speed, assuming my memory is accurate, that's 36 seconds of heal time.
Having a teammate heal you takes 18 seconds
When 2 people work a generator together, they only work at 90% efficiency each.
So ask yourself - is it better to let your teammate work a generator at 100% effency for 36 seconds or have him off that generator for 18 seconds then the two of you can work the generator at 18 seconds at 90% efficiency each.
By my math, the former actually gets you more generator progress. Generally, I use Bond... and if I see everybody is on a generator or being chased, I'll heal myself. But if somebody is being useless and not doing a generator, I'll seek them out and let them heal me.
-
Nobody should be expected to do anything except play the game within the bounds of game. Can you slot NOED? Then slot if it you wish. Can you slot DS or a purple flashlight? Then slot it.
Whining and complaining that people don't play by your unwritten rules of honor is what scrubs do. Never expect your opponent to pull punches, so neither should you.
-
You don't like NOED? Learn to do the bones.
That being said, however, if you want to require 4 hooks before an Ebony Mori can activate, we can talk.
-
If everybody is getting hooked, the stealth players need to stop hiding and take a turn risking skin
I defeated a team today by destroying the 3 people willing to risk their skin - then the one guy who never risked anything got salty when I closed the hatch and 1 hooked them.
Real easy to rotate through the same people when they're the only ones I see... just sayin.
-
Can you accept that maybe the few people that come here and voice their opinions don't represent the community at large?
You don't know what people said in that survey, so get over yourself
-
If you think F13 is anywhere near balanced, you're deluded man. That game is a train wreck
-
"Camping" is anything that involves playing in an intelligent manner around the hook.
I'm sorry, but I'm not an idiot - I prefer to play intelligently. I will play around the hook when the situation calls for it.
If people don't like that, they're welcome to try and stop me
-
Hey, if you're not having fun - take a break. I respect that you know your limits.
Come back and visit, or don't. But I'm not going to insult you for knowing your limits.
That being said though, I want to remind people that the nerf hammer has and always will swing both ways. If you have gotten so blind to that, it's probably for the best that you move on.
I'll haunt you in the next game regardless - because one can be a fan of multiple games. GG
-
When paired with Distressing this would be overpowering. I do not support this change.
I'm gonna tell you, a fellow killer, the same thing I tell survivors - let the change settle in first before you start suggesting changes.
-
I love facing fellow Docs. Mostly because he's my boy and to me the being the best Doc is learning how to counter him as well so I understand my weaknesses.
So I face every fellow Doc as an opportunity possibly learn something.
-
Usually when I get surprised by a Hag trap for the first time in a match and I don't know it's hag yet.
Always has me yelling DAMMIT or something worse because it always makes me nearly fall out of my chair in fright.
-
I'm sick of people equating allowed gameplay as toxic.
You should always expect your opponant to use every trick allowed to them in the book to destroy you - and you should do the same. The less you stress about what the other side does and just focus on yourself, the more enjoyable this hobby is.

My only problem with him is the gargantuan buff to his basic shock. It can't be juked; he has to completely miss you via range or facing an entirely different direction. On top of this, it's now extremely fast, so almost every single pallet and window is a free hit for him.
I think the Madness changes are good, as well as the addition of his radial blast, though it could stand to have a slightly longer cooldown.
However, his terror radius is kinda broken, imo. I can never discern how far he actually is until he's on top of me and it switches over.
Regarding the Terror Radius - it's probably because of how the Calm Add-on works with the rework. Previously, it increased his terror radius when in treatment mode so most docs ran around with it switched on with it not in a chase. The new Calm now only increases his terror radius when his shockwave is up and ready to be used - it then reduces his terror radius a set amount. When combined with Monitor and Abuse - it sets up some confusing heartbeat moments.
The purple Calm affects the terror radius by 8 meters. As you recall, Terror radius is affected by 8 meters by Monitor and Abuse as well.
At the start of a match with his shockwave up and ready to go, a Doc running Purple Calm and MnA will have a regular 32 meter Terror radius (-8 from Monitor And Abuse for not being in a chase, +8 from Calm for having his shockwave ready) The moment he fires that shockwave, his terror radius PLUMMETS to 16 meters as it's now being reduced both by the purple Calm Addin and Monitor and Abuse at this point.
So if you hear the heartbeat, then he shocks you with his shockwave and his heartbeat suddenly disappears - congrats, you now know you're facing a Calm doc and need to be vigilant because his terror radius is going to fluctuate.
-
Naw, I prefer PGTW for my gen slowdown in most cases.
-
I was apprehensive of the Snap Out Of It changes and the fact you can't keep people in Tier 2 madness anymore.
However, given chases feel less clunky now and I can get a survivor location pretty much on command now - I think it all evens out.
Yes, the survivors are missing less skill checks now, but it doesn't matter - I'm finding them even faster now which makes up for the time I lost.
I have yet to try a full "Screw your skill checks" build yet though as I spent my first few games making sure it hasn't affected the Calm Doc build I was previously running. A new "screw your skill checks" build will be tested soon, however....
-
Pfft
anybody who's played him forever can tell you he's no stronger or weaker overall
1/10 for the bait attempt.
-
I don't normally respect the 4%
But maybe I will tonight in respect of Kobe.
-
Yes, there is a time when the best option for the situation you are in is to stay near the hook. Just be aware that with the new scoring system it does hurt one of your emblems. But if you do it as the exception instead of the rule, it shouldn't hurt you too much.
My favorite is when I catch two people running toward the hook when I turn around. I've got 3 people not on gens, you've literally given me no reason to leave now. I'm going to make sure you're both injured at this point before I commit to chasing one or the other.
-
Art and Concept team needs a goddamn medal for the top-notch work they put out.
Map team has proven to me they learn from their past mistakes and I always look forward to what new thing they're going to have us toy with. Sure the balance messes up from time to time, but they eventually get it right.
Cote is a walking meme machine, but I love how blunt he is so I can forgive him when he misteps. I respect blunt honesty, even if it's not the news I wanted to hear.
The balance team? Well... they remind me a lot of a Bakadere - well meaning and I think at the core they love this game, but they are hopelessly clumsy or slow in the head. They eventually get it right though, so I've grown patient with them.
-
EGC is literally 2 minutes of your life if nobody is downed after it's triggered.
That's not plenty of time for trolling.
Frankly if you're ready for the game to end just sit yourself facing a corner, get up and visit the kitchen for a snack or a nice tasty beverage, and take your time coming back, then leave the post-game without glancing at the text.
Honestly folks, it's not that big of a deal
-
I say we need to give it a few weeks to see how it pans out myself.
Right now, he's feeling about the same to me. He's stronger in location now, but he's gotten weaker in slowdown. Overall, the nerfs and buffs have evened out.
That's at least my Doc main impression so far.
-
I'm sorry, wasn't it on it's last legs during Last Breath?
Wasn't it on it's last legs when F13 came out?
Wasn't it on it's last legs when Last Year was announced?
Wasn't it on it's last legs they withheld all updates to focus on updating the engine?
Wasn't it on it's last legs when the universal pallet break buff came out and drove survivors away?
Wasn't it on it's last legs when the End Game Collapse Came out?
I'm sorry, what were we talking about again?
-
Seems like a waste of perfectly good free time to me.
But then again, anytime I'm THIS upset with the game, I just don't play and let the numbers speak for themselves.
"Punishing" the playerbase for a decision they had no part in seems counterproductive to me, but it's your right.
Frankly, I think both sides of this community have gotten over melodramatic and just need to GTF over themselves already.
-
Viable according to who? Because I could point you to a rank 1 trapper to pwns face all the time.
-
Catch up mechanics have place in the game and need to be left alone.

@FrenziedRoach NOED rewards bad play. You never see a good player take NOED, it’s always the bad players.
Its hilarious how killers always defend it. You know if it was on the survivor side they would be screaming. Hell they are about Adrenaline and begging for nerfs.
Its hard to stop NOED as a solo survivor. If you run around on a totem hunt you miss out on so much else you wont get points. You have to confirm all 5 are out though, you cant just rely on other survivors. You can run around and not find some, have you missed them? Have they been cleansed? Even small game is no good as it wont tel you if the totem has been destroyed.
People have talked about ways to make NOED fair. You want survivors to do totems? Fine. How about a notification so solo players know how many have been done?
bzzzzz veto’d. Killer mains wont allow it because they dont actually want survivors doing the totems. They want NOED to activate as its far more powerful and easier than having survivors cleansing totems.
With NOED its always “git gud, just cleanse totems” but its funny how when it comes to DS asking them to simply “stop tunneling” and its “DEEEEVS!! NERF PLZ!!”
@almo care to share the actual statistic if you have it? Outside of swf It definitely activates far, far more than survivors cleansing all 5 totems.
I can’t believe the game designer uses NOED. Hmm, then again maybe that explains more than I realise.
Do you stream? When I see Pigs with NOED I get bad vibes. Would nice to be dispel that image.
You're barking at the wrong killer if you think I'd be complaining about Survivor perks. I'm the guy that says "Anything goes". I also never said either good players or bad players use it. It's a tool, nothing more.
You can't calls somebody good or bad for simply deciding to use the tools at their disposal. Only scrubs do that. That goes for both survivors and killers.
So take your heavily bitter and salty rhetoric and shove it out the nearest airlock please.
-
You aren't going to find logic when somebody has their blood up and decide somebody has to die in game.
Some killer's learn to abandon the chase to find somebody weaker or out of position, others don't.
Just shrug and move on, that's all you can do.
-
Borrowed Time is fine as it is.
If your a killer who can delete your terror radius, you can counter play it with that ability.
If your any other killer, hitting somebody with borrowed time on them is really no big deal as you just guaranteed that person has to stop and waste time not doing gens.
If I discovered BT in play, I generally just swat the guy then go back to chasing the rescuer - this effectively guarantees that two people aren't doing gens for half a minute and buys me time.
-
I've only run it for two specific sitations.
First sitation? I was playing Trapper and he was the first killer I ever took to 40. Perk Pool at time was literally just the OG killers plus Nurse at the time. And this was with the old NOED that wasn't tied a hex and lasted forever. We also had a situation where survivors would stay in the game to do extra generators and break hooks at that time, so I felt NOED was a good way to get people to GTFO and let me move on to the next game. (When I call those early days the dark days, I'm not kidding. there was lots of BS crap going on some of you never even heard of)
Second sitation, I'll sometimes run it on my Railgun Doc build just to give my meme build a bit of a nasty bite at the end of the game.
But I'm not the type who likes to run perks that are only useful for such a small fraction of the game time, so I don't run it for an overwhelming majority of my games.

I’ve defended you guys on here but now even I’m starting to question how much you play the game.
99% of the time NOED results in instadowns. Theres very little “maybe” about it.
It enables killers to camp and win too. They just sit around the hook making no effort to play, but it doesnt matter because if survivors rush gens as you always say then the killer gets an extra 2 kills anyway. No effort required. Just camp and NOED.
Just had a Wraith who tunneled me off hook and sat outside a locker until my DS ran out. The other survivors did gens. Didn’t matter though because he could afford to apply zero pressure because NOED got him another 2 kills.
You want to stop DS from hurting killers that dont tunnel because its not fun for them? How about stopping NOED from rewarding bad killers that make zero effort to actually protect their gens and just camp hooks or relentlessly tunnel one survivor all game.
There is one fatal flaw in your reasoning - and that the perk is in the survivor's hands to prevent from happening.
Not just doing the bones either. The moment you realize NOED is in play, nothing says you have to rescue anybody. In fact, refusing to play the killer's game and just GTFO is a perfectly acceptable choice in that moment.
If the entire team gets downed by a NOED killer because they all just had to go for the rescue, then the survivors failed due to their own pride and greed, end of story.
